I came here to pick up my takeout order, but then decided to eat some of my lunch here. I had the matzo ball soup with a baklava dessert. The matzo ball's were light and tender in a nice chicken broth. I've eaten here several times with a cousin, the food is always very good, quite fresh and tasty Mediterranean food, which usually can last a few meals. The meals with basmati rice, usually come with pita bread, hummus and a cucumber salad. If you have a craving for Mediterranean food, definitely check this place out, you won't be disappointed. It's conveniently located next to Trader Joe's, so you can do your grocery shopping before or after your meal. Bring someone along, or meet on a date here for your lunch or dinner, it's a good place to socialize.

Kids Falafel Plate with fries- missing one falafel cause it was eaten before i remembered to take a pic

Visited Kabab Burger for the first time a couple of days ago. It's a humble little spot tucked into a strip mall next to Trader Joe's, and it's been on my "i wanna try this place" list for months, so I was excited to finally make it! I planned a brunch with friends, and we ended up with a group of 12. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Service was warm, patient, and genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Now for the food: I ordered: Matzo Ball Soup - flavorful with perfectly fluffy matzo balls. Comfort in a bowl. Kids Chicken Schnitzel with Fries - The schnitzel was well-seasoned and delicious. Fries were solid, and dipping them in the side of tzatziki I ordered made them extra tasty. My mom had: Some of my soup (and she loved it too!) Kids Falafel with Fries - We swapped the tahini for tzatziki, and she enjoyed everything also. We also grabbed a couple of pitas on the side--always a good idea. They were yummy! I've included a few extra photos of dishes others at our table ordered as well.

We've been here several times and it's a great meal every time! We came here for lunch and shared several items. Everything here is great! Babaganoush is smoky and delicious. The hummus is great and so smooth. The pita breads are perfectly warm to eat with all the sides. Highly recommend everything here!

The chicken shawarma I eat most often, and I drive from Emeryville for it. Huge portions, great food, chill room, easy vibes. I've always had good service and prompt delivery of my order.

I have been craving some kababs for quite sometime and my tummy was finally satisfied. Kabab and Burger Mediterranean has a small patio with five tables along with a few tables inside. We had the appetizer sampler and the pick two item combo. The appetizer plate came with some of the best pita bread I have ever had. The bread was warm soft and fluffy. I chose the lamb and ground beef kabab along with a chicken breast kabab. Both were seasoned well tender and delicious. The chicken is obviously marinated as it was not dry at all. My only complaint here is the two item combo was $25.90 which for me is expensive but this is the bay area so maybe it isn't so bad. That being said the food is delicious.

Did a togo order at 5pm on a Monday, it was not crowded at all. Very quiet. I really like getting togo from here because they're quick and the food is simple and delicious. Got the gyro plate, it comes with a garlic yogurt sauce, tomato cucumber feta salad, rice and gyro. I really liked the rice because it was long grain and it was perfectly seasoned. The salad was refreshing and tangy. The meat was flavorful, paired well with the pita. The garlic yogurt sauce was so good, love the savory yogurt taste. You could taste the garlic inside.

Chicken Schwarma wrap. Very bland

Was hoping for a super flavorful experience and what we got was a chicken shawarma that was very bland and needed spice. The Gyro meat was better flavored and tender but the hummus and salad inside the pita was also very bland. The falafel was crunchy and nice but also lacked flavor. We used a bit of the red sauce to help with that. So it was OK service was also good.

Located right next to Trader Joe's in Lafayette, Kabab Burger offers a menu of Israeli and Mediterranean eats in a casual, colorful setting. A highlight here is their soft, fluffy, chewy pita bread, which goes perfectly with all of their homemade dips. Speaking of which, the Sampler Platter was an array of mezze including creamy hummus, smokey baba ganoush, Turkish salad (sautéed tomatoes, onions, peppers), spicy eggplant, tahini, pickled turnips, 2 dolmas, and 2 crunchy falafels. The platter was a great way to try out a bunch of different flavors, though the standout was the baba ganoush, which had a particularly smokey flavor and creamy texture. I also tried the House Salad, a simple mixture of chopped cucumbers and tomatoes. At the self-serve counter were water and several condiments, including a housemade zhoug (spicy herb sauce), which was tasty but seemed to have been sitting around for a while. Overall, the food here was definitely decent, though some of the items didn't seem particularly fresh, and the flavors were a bit lacking.

Tasty chicken pita! Great flavor, yummy sauce, and done in a short time! Will be coming back to try other items on the menu.

They add a 5% "container and handling" tax. Expensive to begin with and the now obligatory tipping menu. Shady AF

This was a casual place to catch a quick meal. It's nice to see places like this survived. I recommend trying this restaurant.

As with my previous two visits, the service was very good and professional. We were greeted immediately and seated. The restaurant has a few tables outside in front, while the indoor dining area is long, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The wall decorations are reminiscent of the ancient ruins of Iran's Achaemenid dynasty. Daryoush, after whom the restaurant is named, was one of the most powerful kings of that dynasty more than two millennia ago. We started with Salad-e Shirazi, which literally means "salad from Shiraz," a historic city in Iran. It's made with chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions, dressed with lime juice. I usually add a little olive oil. It hit the spot and whetted our appetites! For our main course, we ordered the Daryoush Plate, which comes with three kabob skewers: filet mignon (Barg), chicken (Jujeh), with a choice of breast or thigh, and ground beef (Koobideh). It also comes with two servings of basmati rice. Since we didn't want to overeat, we substituted a salad for one serving of rice. Even then, when the food arrived, it was a generous amount for two people! The chicken breast kabob was perfect! The other two kabobs were very good, and the rice was just fine. We wrapped up our meal with a couple of cups of Persian tea. After three visits, Daryoush remains a place I enjoy returning to for good Persian food and consistently attentive service.

This time we had the chance to…read moremeet the owner, who was incredibly kind and took the time to tell us about how Sipeos came to be and the inclusive environment they're trying to create. I really love the thought behind their menu. There's such a diverse selection for both vegans and non-vegans, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, so everyone can come together and actually have plenty of options. We ordered some of the same food we loved the first time and also tried the pizza this time. Once again, everything was amazing! And having vegan desserts to choose from just makes it even better. Great food, great atmosphere, and after getting to know a little more about the people and idea behind Sipeos, we appreciate this place even more. We'll definitely be back!

Of all places, I'm surprised the Bay Area doesn't have waaaaaay more plant-based dining, and I welcome any suggestions from my fellow Yelpers on spots I may have missed! So when I learned of Sipeos, featuring a plant-based Mediterranean menu, I immediately bookmarked it, and this weekend we tried it out. To be clear, since the term 'plant-based' gets muddled a lot these days, Sipeos is a vegetarian, not strictly vegan restaurant. However, they do have fully vegan options, and other selections can be modified to be vegan - yay for vegan cheese! We perused the menu, and ordered a couple of drinks, and the Under the Tuscan Sun pizza to share: mozzarella, arugula, mushrooms, and beans. Pretty tasty, but I do wish there was less dough. Props for a 100% seed oil-free menu! Their beverage program promotes low and no-alcohol cocktails, wines, and beers. Not my jam, but I understand the intention, and that's what the cool kids are into these days. It's also odd to me that mocktails are priced the same as actual cocktails, and not just here, I've noticed this trend at other places as well. But if you want to spend $14 for juice, who am I to argue? Service was good, and the ambiance was nice. May return at some point.

The service wasn't exactly friendly- they didn't really communicate much with me and just pointed at my to-go bag and where to tap my card. I agree with others that it's a shame they don't include garlic sauce or other sauce on the side. The inside had a few tables for seating.
