Breakfast burrito
Josh B.

I've been coming to O'side bakery every weekend for almost a year, and it's delicious every time. Their coffee selection is good. They come out with a seasonal menu too. Their scrambles, and croissants are incredible. I get the breakfast burrito, or the ham and cheese croissant weekly. I've tried all the sandwiches, but none have really hit home for me. The service is awesome everyone is so kind and helpful. It's a cozy atmosphere inside with art on the walls that I think artists are having for sale. The outdoor seating is nice as well. My only gripe is that the brewed coffee is sometimes not very hot!! And that's frustrating. But all their crafted and espresso drinks are pretty great.

Love this little spot so much, plenty of parking staff is always SO welcoming! I absolutely love the girls here they're so kind and warm, talkative I love it! I'm so comfortable coming here for a solo breakfast date & I LOVE their coffee! they're always changing it up too! so yummy &&& don't even get me started on the pastries way too good

Mozzarella jalapeño croissant
Leslie G.

Morning hike with friends and we decided food was a must. They suggested here. Glad we followed their suggestion. It's an order at the counter place and as you wait you drool over the pastries. Had the blueberry tart and a mozzarella jalapeño croissant. Plus a California Benedict. Everything was delicious. The only complaint would be if coffee was served in real cups for dining in service. The tables are packed in yet doesn't feel to restricting.

Portions are on the larger side, sometimes it's better to share. I like that we are able to go up and order when ready. The food comes out fairly quickly. There has been times when it has taken longer but it hasn't kept me from coming back. It's conveniently open at 6am which is a plus. There is plenty on seating inside, it's a great place for a quick breakfast.

Mango, strawberry, blueberry and strawberry tarts!!

Not only are the baked foods delicious- so are the eggs Benedict and the coffees! Staff is very nice too! The order at the counter line moves quickly.

carrot cake latte (spring '26 seasonal drink)

My boyfriend and I love coming here to grab breakfast or brunch! I've personally been coming with my family since I was little and it's never disappointed. Their pastries are amazing... some of my favorites are the fruit tarts and the creme brûlées, but I absolutely love the ube creme brûlée! They have a seasonal carrot cake latte which is SO yummy so definitely stop by and try it before their spring menu ends. Food wise, I always get my usual bacon, egg and cheese croissant breakfast sandwich but I look forward to trying new items in the future! They offer both indoor and outdoor seating but keep in mind you do have to order before seating.

Social media brought me in solely for the Ube croissant but I had no idea I'd stumble upon such a buzzing inland Oceanside gem outside of the usual downtown scene! The menu? Loved it. The whole place was hustling, vibrant, and full of good energy. Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their orders, and I definitely did too. One small heads-up for first-time visitors: please read and respect the house rules. Don't claim a table before ordering it's part of what keeps the flow working in such a popular spot. Super excited to see what future Filipino-inspired items hit the menu next. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Had breakfast here and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered an omelet with artichokes, ham, and pesto (forgot the name, but highly recommend it!) -- the flavors were amazing and perfectly cooked. Just wished the bread was warmed or toasted. The salsa on the side for the breakfast burrito had just the right spicy kick to it. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, bright, clean, and full of that local charm. Definitely one of those spots you want to linger and enjoy your morning coffee. I'll be back for sure! Tip: you must order before you sit.

Sausage croissant

I am sad I love nowhere near here. I stopped by twice in a weekend, once on my way down to SD and again on the way up because it was soooo good! We tried a variety of pastries ans breakfast items and they were all tasty. The fruit tart is scrumptious! And the sausage croissant was one of the best I've had in a while - it was simple but with quality ingredients. The service was hit or miss, with on visit being a little standoff-ish and the second the service was so welcoming. There was plenty of seating and very open and airy, lending itself to a nice ambiance. I like that they have a sign not to save tables until you have ordered so people actually have a chance to find a spot when done ordering. It will always be on my agenda to stop if I'm in the area.

Croissant

This is the best pain au chocolat in the area. Whoever calls is chocolate crossant does not know French pastry LoL. Sorry, I am peculiar about my pastries. My favorite is the peach tart. No fluff, good fruit flavor and pastry cream. Simple. The fruits tarts have a layer of almond paste that I don't care for, make things heavier and doesn't bring anything IMHO. They have an original and interesting selection of hot drinks as well.

Mayla L.

Peach tart is the way to go! So good!! I also got an egg, sausage and cheese breakfast sandwich on a croissant with a side of Chipotle Aioli. The croissant was so flaky and buttery and the aioli complimented the sandwich.

This place is my go-to for baked goods. It's right by the police station and Pitstop Diner (with plenty of parking, bless), and it's become our go-to for weekend breakfast. The crepes are so good, and I'm obsessed with the matcha almond croissants. They also sell whole cakes that are seriously beautiful. It always smells amazing when you walk in.. just super cozy and welcoming. We love it here.

My fiancée & I had seen Parlor Doughnuts numerous times after the Oceanside Sunset Market. & every single 1 of those times, we were already too full from grazing at all the food stands by then to give it a try. So on a Saturday afternoon, when we just happened to be nearby, we popped in for some impulse buy doughnuts. With a staggering variety of delicious looking toppings/ flavors, the possibilities looked enticingly intriguing. Staff behind the counter was friendly attentive, & helpful. Although there are some savory options available, which seemed to me like pizza toppings on doughnuts, we stuck with sweet: maple bacon & bourbon caramel. Tried & true flavor combinations, both. But the dough, whoa. For starters, the 2 doughnuts we got didn't have holes. That actually makes a difference in how the doughnut cooks. Secondly, the dough ate more like bread dough than a doughnut. Doughnuts have a hole for a reason. You see, it's physics, son. When you consider how thermodynamics affects an oblate spheroid vs. a toroidal sphere, it becomes evident that a doughnut without a hole will not cook evenly throughout inside. In fact, this was specifically proven on MasterChef Canada Season 8, Episode 8 during a doughnut pressure test. In that episode, Andres forgot to put holes in his doughnuts & they were undercooked in the center. Hey, I did start this review with admitting I'm a nerd who watches too many cooking competition shows. Uniform doneness aside, there was also the breadiness. If I'd been told these doughnuts were some kind of new take on Pan Dulce, maybe I would've liked them more. But given the expectation of a doughnut, what I tried at Parlor Doughnuts just wasn't it. The staff was great, & the toppings were fine. But with the word "dough" literally in the name of the product, to come up short there leaves something to be desired.

The pastries are definitely on the higher-priced side and we weren't too hungry, so we opted for the strawberry croissant since it was the last one left. I was hoping to try their cinnamon roll, as it looked amazing and had a selection of flavors to pick from. The lady who helped us was friendly and packed the croissant for me, and we took it to go. The strawberry croissant had some vanilla cream along with strawberry slices in the center cut of the croissant. The cream was nice, light, and not overly sweet, which tasted great with the strawberry. The croissant was a little disappointing, as it wasn't flaky, very dense, and on the softer side. It still had a good buttery flavor but overall it was mid. As we continued eating, I ended up chewing on something plasticky, and I believe it might have been the front cut of a plastic piping bag. I'm glad it was a fairly small piece or else I probably would have swallowed it...It is disappointing that a big piece of plastic ended up in the cream where no one had caught it during the process of making it.
