I was at O'sheas and I was there for a couple of hours. I went outside to smoke a cigarette and then went to the bathroom. After having the guy bartender on the morning shift tell me he wasn't going to make my drink properly because "it was a snow day", and had to deal with my drink not having a rim or made properly. Also was told several food options were not available. A couple hours later, I had a bartender and a patron of the bar (not a girl who even works there) come into the bathroom and start talking. I didn't pay any mind because their conversation was none of my business as I was using the restroom and taking a second for myself. Then I heard the two girls try to open my bathroom stall and ask me if I was okay. I said yes and that I was going to the restroom and to give me a second. I was sitting on the toilet and NOT on the floor. They offered me water and I accepted while I was finishing up. Then they told me I had to leave the bar for being "passed out on the bathroom floor" which was not the case. They told me they looked under the stall at me and saw I "wasn't okay" and that if police would've showed up that they would be held liable. They then kicked me out of the bar and told me I had to get a ride home. I had only 3 drinks since 4 ( I left at 9) and was berated and asked to leave. Once again, one of them was JUST A CUSTOMER of the bar. Not even a bartender. I was also called a bitch and more derogatory names. I will not be back or spend any money there as I wasn't made a proper drink by the guy bartender and was berated by the blonde bartender. Would not recommend unless they get a new staff or if you don't want to be looked at under bathroom stalls (which is illegal!) read more

I've lived on this neighborhood for 30 years. Haven't been in a few months and service is crap now. Pregnant bartender acted like it was a burden to pour a drink unless you were a regular. Cost $5.50 for a vodka/cranberry that was mainly cranberry that I had to go to the bar to get myself. Waitress didn' come by once. It used to be a local destination for drinks and a good time. Came tonight and had no service, no courtesy. Employees were just there for a buck and it showed. Band was great, that's it. If it wasn't 2 mins from my house I'd find another bar to go to. Maybe a staff coaching on friendliness and customer service would change that but it's definitely not my choice to have a good time anymore. I headed over to O'sheas the other night to get my pub fix (while I eagerly await the opening of The Londoner down the street). I made my appearance late on a Tuesday night, so there was plenty of room at the bar. Actually, there was nobody at the bar and I got the impression that sitting there was an inconvenience to the bartender. Whoever this dude was, he was not thrilled to see my party of three. He hastily asked what we wanted to drink, and when I inquired about their cider selection he answered in a super low voice that trailed off into silence. What? I was somehow able to read his lips as he mumbled "Angry Orchard", so that's what I went with. Once we received our glasses he ran away to play cornhole with his buddies, and looked super annoyed the one time he came back to check on us. He got a tad more personable as we got ready to leave. He was happy to play his games in peace! Fortunately, I don't think the attitude of this one bartender speaks for O'sheas as a whole. It's a pretty comfortable and super spacious bar with a ton of entertainment. They've got your pool tables, video games, darts, tv's, and cornhole, and they have a decent food and drink menu. There are tons of specials each day of the week, so you can definitely get in and out for cheap. Another plus is their stage, which is a good size with a lot of floor space around it. They've got bands booked for every weekend, which is awesome, and they also do trivia night. I love interactive bars! At the end of the day, I think O'sheas is pretty solid. I'll go back on a busier night when I won't feel like such a burden to the bar staff! read more

love coming here... when amanda's working. i won't come here anymore when someone else is bartending. ive been served by two other bartenders besides amanda and was treated like absolute shit, followed into the bathroom to tell me "if you're gonna throw up throw up in the toilet i don't want to pick it up" while i was on the toilet. like i'd been there 20 minutes barely drank half my beer. if you're going to treat me bad im going to tip you based on that! didn't even want to stay , finished my drink and closed out. but my bank account told me she charged me differently from the check she handed me. so on top of shit service,coming into the bathroom to make a rude comment, i was also charged extra. i used to get happy to come out with a friend here but this was just too weird. made me not even want to come back. and it's kinda sad, the bar is nice and big, clean. amanda's always been amazing. i've always had a good time here. now i don't really want to come back lol. read more

After a long day of work on a Saturday you'd think one would go home and drop dead. Nope, I got invited out to a post baby shower get-together. Yeah, I've never heard of that either. But my close friends are getting ready to have a baby girl and there was a Pearl Jam cover band playing at O'Sheas and I figured, what the hell. Of course I brought a cool punk band onsie for the new baby. It was well received. As for O'Sheas. Nice place, spacious, and apparently the home for Cornhole tournaments. Who knew Texas had an indoor Cornhole league............. does anything surprise me anymore here in Texas? I came to see the band and have a beer or two and hang out with friends. They had a decent selection of good beer on tap, I has a Red Hook IPA and one other. The music was decent. They had the usual bar food, saw some really good cream cheese filled bacon wrapped jalapenos... they looked really good. Had a slice of some so-so pepperoni pizza. But I was there for the friends and it's a pretty nice place I'd go back to if it weren't way out of the area for me. That and the drunk dancers were pretty funny. read more

My small group and I came in to enjoy some drinks, food, and live music. Drinks were great, food was fine with large portions for the price. Our waitress was busy with 4 or 5 tables with large groups but was handling it well. BUT the band, oh this band. I will start with we paid our check and left. The band was Vegas Stars. Had they stuck to singing and playing music it was have been okay, even fun, but they had to open their mouth and start describing their own music as gay and the said something about "black" people. Not once but multiple times. We were instantly offended. This establishment needed to shut that mess down immediately and did not. We spoke to our waitress about it and she said others were also complaining. We stayed 30 minutes longer than we should have hoping management would address the situation but sadly they did not. read more

Four of us gals wanted to celebrate St. Patrick's Day at an Irish pub so we chose O'Sheas which none of us had tried previously. Boy, what a mistake that was. We had no idea they allowed smoking inside. As soon as we walked in my body went into defense mode from the smoke in there. People were smoking all over the entire bar/restaurant. Even while eating. So disgusting. Since we made the long drive there we decided to grab a drink. Then a couple of us were starving so we decided to go ahead and order food. The waitress (the shortest gal working) told us the kitchen was closed. It was around 7:30p. We asked why and she stated it was backed up and the kitchen told them no more food orders. Not even some chips/salsa that you don't have to cook. We said ok and planned to finish our drinks and go elsewhere. We happened to be seated next to the waitresses' POS in the bar and my friend watched that same waitress entering food orders well after she told us they weren't accepting any more. We purchased a table for 6 people to listen to a band that was scheduled at 9:00 p.m. The website indicated if we were not there by 8:30 our table would be given away (even thought we paid to reserve it). We arrived at 8:15 to find another party seated at our reserved table. The waitress quickly substituted a nice table for us(her name us Jessie and is the only good thing about this place). The band was too begin at 9. They finally came on stage at 9:40. By 10:30 the 80's band we paid to see had played predominantly rap music. We had to leave as we were all so fed up with the band, the clientele and the extremely heavy cigarette smoke. We had no idea there was anywhere left in DFWtgat would allow that. If you go there, just know you will definitely need a shower. It's awful!! Will not return as long as smoking is allowed. read more

If you don't smoke, stay away, very very far away. If you do smoke, you have until the end of December to get your fix. Then after that, I'm not sure what they'll do? Perhaps knock it down and rebuild? I can't imagine spic & span and fresh paint will neutralize what has been years upon years of a hazy puff-fest. But maybe it's mua? My never-have-smoked-before friends didn't seem to experience the burning nostrils sensation or urge to hurl like I did.. so I'm assuming it's the x-smoker factor? I do feel as if I developed a super sniffer (not by choice) this past decade when it comes to the stale aroma of lingering cheap ciggs. Aside from that, it seems like a great hole in the wall spot if sticking close to home. From what I saw in my brief 60 mins or less,they have two relatively large stages, a lot of TVs, pool tables, decent HH specials, a variety of bar food, a large beer selection and a friendly staff. I honestly don't know what anyone is expecting when they walk in. It's not the Mandalay, and that's the charm. I show up to play pool a couple times a week, the bartender knows my face at least. Yeah, sometimes service is slow, but it's a damn long bar, and often there's only one person behind it. I've never tried their food, so I can't speak to that, but the drinks are standard pour. A lot of bartenders overpour at the beginning of the evening, then underpour later when everyone is too drunk to notice. O'Shea's counts match mine when I watch. (Source- I'm a bartender.) Ja know, I liked O'Sheas Irish Pub. We drove clear across DFW to come here for a birthday get together and I'm glad we did! There was a live band that seemed to know every Santana song (yeah, it got old) but the waitress was on her game and the crowd felt friendly. There are new cool garage type doors that open and let all the good springtime air in, and they were open the night I came. The first beer my man was given was flat, and the waitress even told him that it was the last of the keg and the next beer would surely be better. Okay, how about you not give us a shitty beer now and not give us a shitty beer later? M'kay? She was young and I'll cut her come slack. Maybe stick with bottled beer, if you end up going. well... we had a good spending and drinking group come in sunday. There was only one waitress working, she tried to do a good job. But she also worked as bartender. And the drinks were super WEAK. I had propably 5 margaritas and a shot, i didnt feel anything. Not because I am an alcoholic but because I saw how she pours... like half a shot on a tall glass. My BF ordere vodka soda, and the shot was redic in there... serious. He had about 10 drinks.... We ordered food too. OMG it was SO salty it was yuck. My bf had tacos, they were bland and no flavor to it. serious.. i am not a super picky eater but this was bad, specially for the price. The beans were SO salty it was not good... i tried to mix them with the runny salty cheese on the nachos (the nachos were big and the meat and chips actually good) but the salt was just way too much. We had a bill of about $80 each (for 3 people) and again... the drinks were so effen weak and the food so not good... it was literally throwing $80 away. Yeah, no. read more

After I work tonight, I decided to hop in a bar and this is the one I have decided to come. As I come in towards the bar, a nice smiley bartender girl greeted with me and was pleasant. I got a blue hawaiian for $5.50 and enjoyed the soft music inside as I enjoy the drink. It was great talking to the bartenders as I drink as well and man the drink is good, they mixed pretty well. This place was recommended to us by a couple of people, so on a Friday night we decided to try it out. Upon walking in, we were hit with the stench of cigarettes. Somebody called out "Hello," but it was so dark inside I couldn't really tell who it was. We decided to give it a try by going outside and dining on the patio, but the patio looked neglected and pitiful; I'm not sure it has ever been used, and I'm pretty sure no waitperson would ever visit us out there. We walked back through the smelly, dark dining area and left as quickly as we could. I came out feeling contaminated. We drove a couple blocks up the street to The Londoner and walked into clean air smelling of fish and chips. Quiet conversation, muted music, welcoming lighting. That will be our go-to place from now on. O'Shea's is right out. read more

Live bands, trivia nights, these guys always have something going on. They have 6 pool tables (if memory serves me right), the typical arcade games, and a corn hole game. My first visit to O'Sheas won't be my last. It's a big bar with decent food and a great beer selection. One of my favorite beers, Left Hand Nitro, was right there on tap, so extra points, for sure. Beer was cold and the more than friendly bar keep didn't let my glass stay empty for long. I ordered a veggie pizza for dinner. This wasn't the out-of-the-freezer pie that you'll get in a lot of places. Crust was nice an crisp and veggies were fresh. Never heard of this place before until I was looking for the next place to go drinking. After reading the Yelp reviews today it seems to have its ups and downs. Obviously my visit is just a snap shot but I have a happy picture for a souvenir. This place is rather expansive, with a pretty large stage and it looks like a couple of dance floors. There's two bars, the main one inside, and a smaller one to serve the outside crowd. Our server, Amanda, was "just helping out" but ended up looking after us all night. She was able to answer questions about the beer selection, and have a few recommendations. For food, had the potato skins which turned out to be large potato haves well covered in cheese. My friends and I split them and enjoyed them. While we were there a band setup and started playing but it wasn't really out kind of music, and it was about time to move on anyway. Overall, no real complaints at all, nothing really stood out as special, except our server who was attentive and looked after us well. This is a smoking establishment so you may not want to wear your best clothes if heading out here. read more
