If you want an honest, no-pressure dealership that treats you like a person and not a sale, this is the place. Last weekend, Deborah and I set out to find an SUV that fit our needs. From the moment we arrived, our sales representative, Beth Kwasnica, made the entire process effortless. She listened closely and guided us toward the right Ascent, never pushing us to rush or commit. That patience mattered. We even had the space to step back, reflect, and pray about the decision, and Beth respected every minute of it. What made it exceptional * Beth Kwasnica's genuine care. After decades of dealership visits, it's rare to meet someone who truly puts your interests first. Beth is, without question, the finest salesperson I have ever worked with. * A true no-pressure environment. There were no hard sells and no rush. Just clear guidance and real attention to what we wanted. * Mike Lusby's straightforward honesty. The manager, Mike Lusby, handled the management and finance side with the same integrity. No high-pressure tactics, no gimmicks, just clear and honest answers. * Promises kept. What stood out most was the absence of empty promises. Beth and Mike simply exceeded our expectations at every step. The trade-offs Honestly, we walked away without a single complaint. My only regret is that we didn't find Douglas Subaru sooner, after so many less pleasant experiences elsewhere over the years. Recommendation * Buy here if you want honest guidance, patience, and a team that respects your time and your decision. * Skip if you need high-pressure sales tactics, because you won't find them here. Deborah and I are truly grateful to Beth and Mike. We recommend Douglas Subaru without hesitation and will happily send friends and family their way.

After checking his stock, they didn't have the fob in stock at the location, but he could have it at the store later that afternoon. We were fine with that and decided it would work out better if I took the car the next morning to get the fob. I go in Saturday morning and a different man was able to get the fob cut and programmed and sent me on my way. Very nice and easy. Now here we go. I'm back at home prepping some food for the day and I get a phone call from Batteries +.... That's odd. I answer and it is the man that cut and programmed the fob for me this morning. He proceeds to tell me that he forgot to collect payment for the fob.... I informed him that we paid yesterday with cash. He says he doesn't show that we paid, but I'm telling him we did. He hangs up. Shortly after, I get another call from Batteries + and it's the man again and he says that they have no record of me paying and the manager checked the video and there wasn't anything on the video showing me paying. He says I need to go back and pay and if I don't, they will prosecute me for theft! Theft!! (How do you steal something that they gave me and I paid for?) I told him that they better check the video again. Now I'm searching the house for the shirts I wore the day before to see if I left the receipt in the pocket. My wife already had the shirts in the washing machine. We proceed to stop the machine and start digging trying to find the shorts I wore to see if there is some part of the receipt.... I'm steaming at this point. Angry at being accused of theft and trying to dig through wet clothes for a dumb receipt. Now we get another call from Batteries + and it's the same man. He was very remorseful and apologized saying that his manager looked at the video again and saw me paying for the fob. He initially was looking at the wrong register!! So now they have to retract the accusations placed against me. Of course, the manager was spineless and had his associate do the calling and apologizing instead of calling me himself. Not much of a leader. There were other ways they could have been checking if I paid or not before quickly calling and threatening. I guess the register had an extra $146 from the day before that they had no clue came from. I guess you can assume that I'll never go back there.

I certainly found that with Ken! I have taken my '04 Volvo to Ken for the past 3 years and my car is serviced quickly, the issue is always resolved, and it is for a reasonable price. Recently, I had an issue with my Volvo and Ken was very honest and said that I should take it to the Volvo dealership in Temple, TX, because they could get the part for cheaper than he was able to. He wanted to save me the extra money, instead of taking the business for himself. Then, while it was at the Volvo dealer, I asked those mechanics if they could check out the car's alignment. They drove the car and told me I needed a new power steering rack and that it would be about $4,000! I took it to Ken a few days later and I am SO glad that I did! Ken put the car up on an alignment machine (which Volvo did not do) and found that my control arm bushings were completely worn out on both sides of the car. This was causing the problem and my power steering was fine! He was able to replace the part incredibly quickly and for only $1,000! If I had stayed with the Garlyn Shelton Volvo dealership, I would have paid an obscene price and never resolved the problem!! Also, two years ago, I took my car to Ken's and he found that I needed the left front axle replaced. He promptly fixed the problem and had my car returned within a few days. Several months later, I noticed my car was driving a little funny and brought it back to him. He diagnosed that the left front axle had been a faulty part and immediately offered to replace it immediately, completely for free! A previous customer commented that he was concerned with the guarantee of his services, because it is not in writing. Ken always stands by his word and his service! There was never a question whether he would make me pay or not. He immediately offered to fix it, even though it was the part manufacturer's fault and not his. I 100% recommend Ken Luikart to anyone looking for a trustworthy mechanic!!!!! Also, Sandy, the woman that works in the front office, is LOVELY and a joy to see everytime I bring my car in! So, stop by and say hello :)

I paid over $8,000 for an engine replacement. They told me my vehicle was ready and that a technician had driven it 25 miles with no problems. I drove less than a mile before it started knocking and making noise, so I turned around and brought it right back. The same thing happened on another pickup. Eventually, I was told the engine was bad and they had to find another one. I waited months to get my vehicle back. At one point, my car had been sitting there for three months without an update. I kept having to call, and they acted like I was bothering them. Of course a customer is going to be mad when you've had their car that damn long and aren't telling them what's going on. In April, I even messaged Scott, whom I believed was the owner based on an article I'd seen about the shop. I still have proof that I reached out. I don't know whether he saw it, but I was trying to get answers. Now I'm disputing an extra $140 diagnostic hour on my latest bill. Gary says I authorized it, but my understanding of our call was that he had already told me what was wrong and what I would have to pay. I told him I'd pay what I owe, but I don't agree that I owe this charge. When I said it wasn't about the $140, he replied, "Obviously it was." I asked to speak with the manager, Devin, and felt I got the same attitude. I told them I'd spent over $15,000 there, possibly $20,000, and asked if this was how they treated a customer spending that kind of money. When I said I would take my business elsewhere, I was told, "Yeah, you can just go. You can take your business elsewhere." After all that money, the repeated returns, the months without my car, and the way they spoke to me, they really got me fucked up. I will never bring a car there again. I'm looking for a repair shop with integrity--one that cares about its customers and handles problems professionally.
