Great experience. Will in the Service dept took care of us with an issue we had with another GM dealership in Waco and Michael Weithorn took very good care of us with the purchase of a new car read more

I went online and scheduled an oil change for 10:30. Arrived at 10:20 for my appointment. I did not leave the establishment until 12:18. Never once was told that they were running behind, apologized for the long wait, nothing. Why have me schedule an appointment if you're not going to honor the time the customer scheduled the appointment. That was a complete waste of 2 hours of my day. Then when they finally brought my car up to the front, they parked behind a car that was in a line and then parked another car right up to the back of my vehicle where it was completely difficult to get out. I had to back up and move forward twice to get my car out from between the two vehicles. Service & time management deserves one star. Only gave two because the lady at the service desk was friendly, although still no acknowledgement of the time it took for the service. Will not be returning here for an oil change again. read more

I purchased my vehicle from Frank Michalek and Justin Owens. Frank is the reason I chose to go to Jim Turner to look and see what kind of vehicles that they had that would fit my need. I am a local business owner and needed and SUV, and fast. I found a GMC Yukon Denali that was the colors I wanted, and Frank gave me a price that I could not pass up on. Absolutely great deal. Frank was absolutely AMAZING, did everything he said he was going to do, and went above and beyond for me, I highly recommend not only Frank, but Justin, as well as purchasing from Jim Turner Chevrolet in general. Justin did a fantastic job in completing my purchase and getting me set up for onstar. My experiance was so smooth, easy, and they took into consideration how valuable my time was and made everything go quickly so I could get back to the business I needed to do as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

Amazing staff and service for purchasing vehicles and routine service. The little things each representative does really enhance the quality of this dealership. Joshua was extremely accommodating to my tight schedule when purchasing a vehicle and it was very smooth and straightforward. The service area lounge is spectacular and the staff communication made me feel in great hands. read more

I feel like I am being gouged for regularly scheduled maintenance. Two calls for same service widely different prices. I don't trust this dealership to be reasonable fair honest or consistent in regards to service there. read more

Was told it would be an hour wait just to get my car inspected! i could not see anyone or any cars waiting. That is entirely too long of a wait. I can go other places and get in within minutes. read more

Just bought a new Suburban for the family. Bill Ledger and Michael Wierthon took great care of me on finding the SUV. Amanda Lesikar made the paperwork a breeze. Michael gave my wife a tutorial on the technology and features in the vehicle. I bought the Suburban I wanted at really good price Everything was completed in a short amount of time with a full tank of gas and car wash to let that black beauty shine! read more

Jim Turner Chevrolet - Our first outing in our new Suburban: The Texans and Broncos pre season game in Houston. - Car Dealers Near Me - McGregor, Texas

I saw the attached truck listed on their website and thought it was a fair price as it shows the CM skirted flat bed under the vehicle description included. After testing driving and upon discussing terms suddenly the sales rep says the CM skirted flatbed isn't included and the actual sales price is well above $62,000. Good place if you like games and get you in the door "pricing" tactics, but otherwise I prefer to do business with above board enterprises. read more

Bert wasn't very helpful at all acted like we weren't worthy of buying one of their cars.

2013. This place has gone downhill. I used to get oil changes there, but the sales people have scared me off. They plagued me with phone calls, letters, and emails, even stating they must be automated when they weren't! Every time I called to get removed from the "list", another came. For two weeks it was this salesperson that called, even though I told them several times we had bought from another dealer. I even received calls and letters three months after! Finally they stopped. During looking at cars, the salesperson brought us in and wouldn't let us leave. He typed forever, very slowly. Later the manager came in. They took our car keys and took forever (really) with the paperwork. We were there four hours (minus our outing for lunch)! My husband and I were real upset. I got hypoglycemic and they still wouldn't let us leave. They claimed they were in the process of checking my car out to see what they could trade it in for. I insisted on getting my car back so I could go eat. They said I should take the new Malibu for lunch. All I wanted to do was leave! It was a nightmare! We had planned on just running through and checking out new cars for maybe two or three hours at several dealers that day. Well, they ruined our day, and made us feel very uncomfortable. They said later the salesperson no longer worked there. Bottom line- extreme pressure to buy a car. Finally, we left and then went out and bought a Hyundai at Waco Hyundai. Very great place Waco Hyundai!!! read more

Well, my car was part of the hail damage in June 2023, the body shop finally got my car in at the end of August, (after acting like they didn't want it at all, cause from what the guy told me they don't make any money) I just got my car back the beginning of March 2024, they said it took a while cause they took the whole car apart cause it was so bad which I understood but when I got it back after 4 months there was a list of stuff wrong. Paint and electrical being 2 of the things. It also costed me a battery that they said I was responsible for, even though it went in with a perfectly good battery. He told me to bring it back and they would fix it. Well I got it back 2 months later, the paint looked worse and they refused to fix the electrical that they did, they said they didn't do. My husband had to call service to fix it. Which they are amazing and did fix it and it was the body shop fault cause things had to be reprogrammed cause they were unplugged for so long. I refuse to take my car back to the body shop, they were rude all the time when i would call to check on it cause they never let me no what was going on and when i brought it back they did even worse on it. My car is black so all they had to do was put it in the sun and they could see all the spots they messed up on. I was not happy with the body shop at all. But....if you ever need service i would recommend them all day long. They are great and always take care of you. So my point is if u need body work, don't use them. If you need service they are great. read more

Service department gave me the run around. Made appt to bring my car in 9:30 Thursday. Car was still under factory warranty. Check engine light was coming on/off and the error code indicated there was an issue with the emissions system. After a day and half, the mechanic had to contact GM tech support twice and ended up changing the battery. Staff changed their story every time my husband or I called to check the status of the car. read more

We've bought our last 2 vehicles from Jim Turner Chevrolet and will continue to take our business there. The staff is very friendly and always going above and beyond for the customer. The sales team worked hard to find us the right vehicle. It was an easy process and no pressure. We've also had our vehicles over in the body shop and service department...of course they never disappoint. My husband and I feel very confident with trusting Jim Turner Chevrolet with our vehicle needs - all the way from sales to service! I highly reccomend giving these folks a call. Well worth the visit to McGregor. read more

By far the most trustworthy and responsive Chevrolet deal near Waco. I recently had my under warranty truck serviced here, and they had me scheduled quickly, and had my vehicle in and out within a day. Kyle, service manager, was professional and straightforward, and I felt like he wasn't trying to pressure me into additional services like other locations tend to. Comparatively, the Chevy Auto Nation in town, told me they would charge for the repair and/or $120 just to look at it, would take at least 2 days in the shop, and it was hard to get through to them on the phone. If it weren't for Kyle, I'd feel like the warranty was a scam. 100% recommend Jim Turner Chevrolet. read more

What's to say.... I have purchased 5 cars from this place. Never have I ever felt rushed or any pressure to buy any vehicle. I've always been treated with respect and have gotten the beat deals. Customer service and the folks at the shop are very knowledgeable and always have time to stop and discuss any issues I may have. Will continue to come here for any vehicle purchases. read more

The Body Shop of Jim Turner I didn't buy my car from there but Unfortunately for me while I had my brought my car in for the body shop after an accident. It was such a long process, I'm totally understanding. I waited over two months for my car to get back to me. My actual problem is they don't walk you out and show you how good it is. They just want papers signed and for you to leave. DONT SIGN ANYTHING TILL YOU DRIVE IT AROUND THE LOT AND TEST EVERYTHING. I got my car back with so many more issues then a car with 7,000 miles should not have. MY CAR NO LONGER WOULD LOCK, my gas tank was not letting me pump gas multiple times. Luckily I found a way to finally get gas in my tank. My car would rev up driving just 15 mph. My window would always stop a 1/3 of the way. I constantly had to press it 2-3 times to close. I was thankful my dealership I got my car from let me do an even trade even after how badly my car was "fixed" Just have the tow truck take it to Caliber Collison or the lot of the tow yard and safe yourself the stress. They aren't people friendly in the body shop. read more

Was traveling for Business and stopped by to look. The staff was professional and courteous. I spent 10 years in the car business and these guys are doing things right. Great selection of Suburbans. I worked with John in finance. He was very knowledgeable about current bank programs and factory incentives. He was pretty funny too. Not as funny as HE thought he was, but a total pro and all around good guy. I'd send family to John and the folks at McClaren read more

Every time I use this company for anything from maintenance work, to buying a part I am always given great customer service. They do not try to up sale you on maintenance that is not needed to your vehicle. They are very straightforward. read more

This place has the worst customer service and the rudest, disgusting people in the world. We bought a Suburban from them, that they lost and found 3 months later. It was filthy dirty and had 3,000 more miles on it. There were also things stolen out of the truck. Come to find out the mechanics were using it to drive to lunch, dinner and home with it. We threatened to sue them and Chevrolet for destroying the truck. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Jerry Jones was unlike any salesman I have ever encountered. I had begun the purchase process at a different dealer and left for John McClaren due to how I was treated. Not once did I feel pressured or pushed to purchase something I was unsure of. Everyone was amazing at handling the sale as I was very nervous about this purchase because of my past credit issues from a motor vehicle accident in 2009 that severely damaged my credit. The finance department went above and beyond to get me the financing at a great rate as well. I felt the team truly cared that I was 100% comfortable and encouraged questions and concerns immediately. I have already started recommending your dealership to people. read more

Great folks that you can trust!A great place to do business in either sales or service!

This is the best dealership in the Waco area as far as the salesmen and the service department. I was a little skeptical when McClaren sold the dealership to Jim Turner, but they've kept nearly all their people that were there before. If you are a widow like I am, it seems like a lot of places want to take advantage of you, Jim Turner does not do this. Every dealing I've had with them they've treated me very fairly and don't clean out my pocket book every time I go there. read more

I've bought cars from Stan since 1990. Veered away for a few years, because there was a place closer (I have since lost faith in that "place that was closer"). It was TOTALLY worth driving the hour and a half to McGregor to go with my son to buy a car. Friendly staff. Pleasant experience. NON- High Pressure Sales. My 18-yr old commented after we left about how it was so laid back and that we weren't pressured, compared to a dealer on the Motor Mile we had been to last month. Thank you! We'll be back!! read more

Best car buying experience EVER. I had been shopping for a specific vehicle for 3 months. after searching across the entire country, I found the car at McClaren Chevrolet. Josh Riley was awesome! He gave me honest and accurate information throughout the entire process. When I finally made arrangements to pick up the car, I was not disappointed. It exceeded my expectations. John Keen in finance was equally awesome and found me better rates and terms than I had arranged on my own. If the time comes when I am ready for another specialty vehicle, I will look to them first and make every effort to buy from them. read more

Wonderful experience, wonderful people, wonderful prices! We were very pleased with our experience with selling and buying our vehicles with them. Out of the 7 different dealerships we have done business with in the past 8 years, this was our best experience. Very quick at the paperwork as well. We will DEFINITELY buy from them again! read more
