Beware working with Ryan. He diagnosed a starter replacement on my minivan, and recommended an oil change. Said he could get the starter the next day. Paid my deposit and never heard from him again. After repeated messages to him, 3 days later he claims to have gotten the starter, but that it was used and he would need to reorder. Proceeds to reorder and then goes silent again. Only after I threatened legal action did I get a response, almost a week after I paid my deposit. After replacing the starter and doing the oil change the car stops working within a day. Towed it to a reputable mechanic who says that Ryan short changed the car 2 quarts of oil, causing irreparable crankshaft and cylinder misfires. Basically, the engine blew because there wasn't oil. read more

I was having a lot of trouble installing a drivers side CV axle. I'm just not strong enough to do it. This is a repair that I needed to get done right away. After a lot bruises, scraped knuckles, some blood, sweat and tears I gave up. I started looking for a mobile mechanic. I was worried about having to wait a week for someone to come out here. That's what happened with the last guy I called to help me in a similar situation. After not showing up, then rescheduling twice he finally got to my house. His own tools actually broke while he was using them and ended up borrowing some of mine. I wasn't looking forward to another experience like that one. And being female, I'm a little leery of letting someone else work on my vehicle. I've had some not so pleasant experiences with men who thought I was clueless. I got tired of the bs stories. I started do my own maintenance and repairs. I haven't paid anyone to do anything to any of my vehicles since 1996. I called a few mobile mechanics on the list before I got to Ryan's name. He's the only one who actually answered the phone. He told me he could be here in 40 minutes. I was ecstatic! He showed up when he said he would be here. He is very friendly, has the tools needed to do the job and gets it done right away. I'm especially happy to report that Ryan didn't try to tell me stories about problems I know I don't have! Six hours after talking to Ryan, I still hadn't heard back from anyone I reached out to before him. I was about to post this review when I got an impersonal text message from one of the other mechanics I reached out to. "I can come tomorrow if you haven't gotten it already." That's it. WARNING!!! Reconsider before hiring this mechanic...Quick service does not =quality service! I rarely take a moment out of my busy schedule to write a bad review as I love uplifting other business owners. In this case, I felt I had to not just for what has happened in my situation but in hopes others looking for a mobile mechanic will seriously take this review as a warning. I'll provide some details for context. My wife's car broke down in Nolanville with a busted radiator as we were heading out as we were in Killen visiting. We called Ryan and he was quick to respond and showed up on time to replace it. Ryan was quick to replace the radiator, quick to do a test drive and quick to send a link for payment. Sounds great, right? Well my brother was driving my wife's car back with my nephew as I had to borrow his truck to get back home. They got about 30 mins away from me and the car started smoking and when you pressed on the gas pedal nothing would happen so he had to coast into a gas station. I had to rush out to assess the situation. Looking underneath the hood and car there was transmission fluid everywhere. I called my mechanic and explained the situation and had my radiator replaced. His first question was "did he put the coolant lines running to the transmission on right?" I called Ryan and let him know what was going. The best solution was for me to have my wife's car towed to our mechanic. Ryan asked that I have my mechanic contact him after looking at it. Ryan seemingly wanted to do the right thing.Semmingly! So after several hours of getting in contact with my insurance company, getting a tow truck out to my location,towed to the mechanics and getting a ride back home was about 5 hours. These things happen right, and the best thing is to do the next right thing so I assumed Ryan would take full ownership and do the right thing. Per Ryans request, my mechanic contacted him let him know the coolnat lines were not not hooked up correctly, offered to send pics and videos but Ryan told hi just to sedn him the invoice. At anytime did Ryan dispute being at fault. This is where integrity took a turn. Ryan never called to check on everything, apologize for the inconveniece and make things right. I had to contact him about 4 days later. I spoke to him respectfully and brought up the tow fee, my mechanics fee and just the labor charge/installation fee I paid him to install the radiator correctly. (not the first fee he charged me for the radiator, the diagnostic fee etc). He told me I could only either refund the labor fee of $287 or take care of the tow/mechanic $261. I respectfully disagreed and this was a "cause and effect" situation...paid for installation but improper installation=broken down car=tow fee=mechanics fee. None of these charges would have occurred if he'd taken his time, checked his work and properly installed everything. I sent this in a text as well and he still said he could either do one or the other. I never got an apology or ownership just I'll pay for what I want to pay and that's it. Well I asked that he send me the cost for the tow & mechanic fee but I would go another route to get the labor fee and also asked him to reconsider just taking care of it which is just $548. Reasonable & fair! No response, still no communication, no refund or transaction for the fees. I'm a fellow Veteran too! Smh This one of several steps I'll be taking until this situation is resolved. read more

Called Ryan after my check engine light came on my truck after it lost power.Called Ryan's mobile repair and He was at my place with in 2 hours on a Sunday said I need a knock sensor and transmission solenoid. He order the parts and came next morning to fix it and he toke half the time he told me it was gonna take. He was great and will use him again to repair my Truck. read more

Meanwhile, he spent extra time researching and found a solution that wasn't initially apparent. This saved is $600 in towing and more in addition repairs and time in the shop. The mechanic lost my key and locked me out of my vehicle. Thought the $125 diagnostic fee was a rip off but doesn't really even compare to having to pay for a new key and locksmith. Wouldn't recommend. They are based in Killeen and didn't even tell me that before charging me mileage to Austin... would of been a whole lot easier to get it towed to the nearest shop. Ryan wasnt being helpful, he's just looking to make a buck. I'd look elsewhere for customer service. read more

I appreciated his upfront information and could tell that he knows what he is talking about. I wasn't able to book him due to distance, but he recommended a place much closer to my location. I called on a Monday and they gave me a prize and asked me which Saturday works for me Saturday came and it was a no show So I waited 30 minutes and called them to tell them where were they? They replied back to me that I would double book can I give him a minute he comes back and asked me if he could come tomorrow, Sunday around 5 o'clock I said yes then he calls and told me he could get here early. I feel good so he comes put my belt on and tells me that my brake booster was good. All I needed to do was bleed the brakes so he couldn't get the nut lose So then he tells me I need a brake caliber so he place an order to get one Without me having the chance to get it my self he said the earliest he could come back would be Wednesday at 3 o'clock Wednesday came 3 o'clock came no-show. I called him no answer. I called him again no answer. I called him the third time and told him to forget it that my son will fix it, so he is not trustworthy and I would not recommend him to nobody. read more
