Beware of Phil's Auto Repair. In my experience, this shop is dishonest and will overcharge if given the opportunity. Low ratings exist for a reason. I've gone there several times for alignments. During my last visit, they told me I needed wheel bearings and gave me a written estimate of about $1,300 for parts and labor. I asked if I could supply my own parts, and they said yes, explaining only that they wouldn't be able to warranty customer-supplied parts. I specifically asked what the labor would cost and was told $645. I ordered the parts and, a few months later, called to make sure the labor price was still the same before bringing my car in. They assured me it was. When I arrived with my parts, instead of pulling up my original estimate, the employee created a new estimate with the labor increased by nearly $300. I stopped him and asked him to print my original estimate. He hesitated and only did so after I repeatedly insisted. The manager then came out and claimed the original labor price was only discounted because I was supposedly buying their parts. That explanation made no sense because I had already told them from the beginning that I would be supplying my own parts, and at that time they still quoted me $645 for labor. They never said that price depended on buying their parts. It felt like an excuse made up on the spot to justify charging me almost $900 in labor. To make matters worse, the parts they wanted to sell me were marked up by more than $500. I bought the exact same brand-new parts myself for only $170. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shop. Make sure you get everything in writing, compare prices, and don't assume they will honor the estimates they give you. I brought my vehicle in for a full inspection, a check engine light, and a rattling sound coming from underneath. There was also a noticeable squeal when starting the car, which I expected to be addressed. Unfortunately, that issue was overlooked until I specifically brought it up, and I was told to return after having the rattling addressed at Bill's Muffler Shop. Additionally, during service, my valve cover was not put back on -- something that should not have been missed. While it was eventually corrected, it adds to the oversight concerns. Because of these issues and lack of thoroughness on the first visit, I'm giving a 3-star rating. I appreciate the corrections made, but better attention to detail and communication would go a long way in improving the overall experience. read more

Yes, I was not expecting such a well kept shop. It was clean, everyone at the front desk was very pleasant. I was surprised to find out that you folks were able to perform a four wheel alignment on my 2015 Audi S3. It is a modified car, and is lowered. All of the other shops, Discount Tire and Brakes Plus to include shop's not mentioned, stating that it couldn't be done, because the car was too low. Well, Phil's Service performed the alignment with no complications at all. They even performed a courtesy inspection of my suspension, motor and transmission. The also found leak on my Valve Cover. I will ask them to repair this also, it is more complicated than normal Valve Covers. Overall, I give this shop 5 STAR's for a fantastic and quick job. True professionals!!! read more

Be careful of the technician you get one tried to keep selling me on brake pads quoting they were at 2mm... took the tires off to check all the brake pads were brand new. And of course it had no pictures to verify the brake pad life. Then later after service I drove away with a loud whirling sound it did not have prior, come to find out 3 lug nuts were loose on my driver tire but got told it was a wheel bearing. I called him bc my jeep compass was having issues and water was on ground . He charged me 100 diagnostics and said purged bc computer and battery completely dead . He charged me battery and labor . It was close to 400z then I got it home and it still was not starting . He wanted to charge another diagnostics. I told him I thought it was auxiliary battery bc two batteries that can drain each other . I'm not even the mechanic . He tells me then it needs changed . We pay another few hundred . Then the transmission lights flashed and car stalled on highway . We called and he said to bring it back and would charge another diagnostic fee. I told him this did not show on any test or codes and why is he charging us each time . He said it's a new issue . I felt taken advantage if this shop bring military . Family member paid $70 for a full inspection after a minor accident, wanted to have somebody look it over to make sure its road worthy. They were quick to take his money but incompetent in their findings. He was told he needed 2 tires and needed 3 wheels replaced due to damage. He spent several hundred dollars replacing what they said was the only repairs needed to get back on the road. I took my trailblazer to Phil's they charged me 300 to clean my fuel injectors. Which didn't even ended up fixing the problem then they said the real problem is the water pump. Which the cost for the new water pump and installation fee would cost me 4000. I would not recommend. read more
