If you have a European car, stop, and take my recommendation to work with Elite Autoworks in Temple, Tx or Eurotech in Killeen, tx. Both businesses were able to find the correct parts, had the industry knowledge to recommend solutions and were better to work with. Also, their labor was comparable and their access to parts was far superior. They also have great reviews and were willing to work with me to find parts when my car was at Quickwrench. I am not going to go into the details of the whole experience or bash this company as I am sure many have had decent experiences; however, I would advise anyone that has a European make of car to go somewhere else. Also, if you are a busy individual and value your time, they also are probably not the best fit. Quickwrench Automotive in not equipped with the correct distributors and purchasing tool to order the correct parts for certain European makes and models of vehicles. This is my opinion based on my experience. Again, my opinion based on my experience, but communication with them was difficult, and while I understand they are a business and businesses need to make money, I still believe it is important for companies to take responsibility for their work, respect their customers time and offer a great experience. Maybe I am just old fashioned, but I believe these things are important. Side note and this is just my personal opinion: The woman at the front desk seems very proficient at her job, smart, dedicated, but is a challenge to have hard conversations with. Frankly, I don't blame her, it seems to be a reflection of her leadership. That said, I don't believe the owner's intention was to be a toxic communicator, but he tends to focus on tit for tat techniques, placing blame on others, fighting ferociously against taking responsibility and not sympathizing with a customer's experience. My Camry Commuter was in need of an oil change, a search on Yelp found several options of which I called around for pricing. My goodness - oil change prices have gone up along w/ this gas crisis we're in, even with a coupon you're still paying close to $30 or more, and I know I can get it cheaper than that. Google maps brought up Quick Wrench Automotive, and what caught my eye was "$17.95 oil change" listed on their google business page. WHOA!! I hope that price is still good today, so I called them and spoke to Mac (I think) who was really nice and professional on the phone. I asked how much the oil change was, he quoted me $17.95. Okay, that's awesome, but what kind of oil? "Mobil 1" he says. That's another *wow* because that's damn good oil, much better than the usual Penzoil, so count me in. But what if I bring my own oil and filter, what would it cost? Nine bucks! Hot diggity, never thought I'd get this excited about an oil change but I hopped outta the office like Peter The Rabbit. Even though Mobil 1 is really good oil, and $17.95 is a great deal, my commuter has 207K miles on her so I bought my usual high mileage Castrol Syntec along w/ a Purolator PureOne Oil Filter (the best IMO) and headed over to Quick Wrench. There were at least 2-3 cars in the shop they were working on, I introduced myself and Mac remembered my call and said he'd start the oil change right away. And that they did, and then some...... Mac cleaned all of my windows - inside and out - AND Aaron vacuumed out my car. I was like - WTF? Am I at a Car Rental place where they clean your car when you return it? I was flabbergasted, and even though I know other places offer the same services - - they charge double compared to Quick Wrench. In a matter of 12 minutes my car's oil was changed, her windows were squeaky clean, and there wasn't a crumb in sight. And all that for $9.56. Hot diggity damn, found another gem in good 'ol Temple. I can't wait to bring my commuter back here again in another 3K miles, because these guys ROCK! read more

I don't normally do this, but I think it needs be known. Beware of taking your vehicle to Quick Wench automotive. My dad took his truck to them for an oil change, they called and said it needed shocks badly and then they said the brakes needed to be replaced and then they called back and said it needed a front end alignment. When he went to pick up his truck, the bill was over 2k and they said well it needed 2 new batteries. This is outrageous! when he never asked for any of this they convinced him that if he was gonna drive this truck all of this needed to be done. My dad is 75 years old and maybe drives this truck once a week and for them to charge him over 2k is outrageous. My dad was so upset that I felt like I needed to report them. So if you take your vehicle there, beware! They will gouge you, and all the work they perform is overpriced. read more

Was personally quoted one price, then charged a total different amount (more). 7-28-2021 Got the car this afternoon, and they originally quoted us $735 for the engine labor costs... we provided the engine and all the extras that went with the engine, and then once it was done, they charged us $1450+ final bill. They included things we did not know about nor approved of. When we asked them why those charges were done, they said "You didn't ask specifically for costs to each thing needing to be done, we just gave you the overall charge." As if we are supposed to be mechanics to know about a cleaning charge, an oil change charge, and repairs to other parts of the car that somehow during the swap out, got damaged and needed to be replaced. They also never communicated when things needed to be done with increased costs, they just did them. They claimed they spoke with my father who went in only ONCE at the final payment time to pay for it, saying he went in and approved each extra item. I contacted him, and no. He did NOT approve anything outside of my original quote. Besides, I am the owner of the car, not him, to get approvals for a vehicle that I personally brought in and contacted them every other day to see if all is well. I'm alerting them to the BBB and Yelp and anywhere else I can about this TERRIBLE LACK OF COMMUNICATION. They are sneaky when it comes to hidden fees without forewarning you with their quotes. UPDATE 7-29-2021: The manager attempted to call me and pressure me into re-editing my feedback/review, claiming they "bent over backwards" to help us out and they could've "Charged us much more" if they wanted to but decided not to. Trying to use guilt b/c we honestly thought we were paying one amount but final bill was hundreds more then expected. I think that might be a big reason WHY their are not many negative reviews here is b/c he calls each one up to pressure/force/guilt them into removing it or editing it. this is a lesson learned on our pathway in life. UPDATE 7-31-2021: The "Hose" they charged us $300 without our permission to replace. Turns out they stripped it out and it started leaking again within the first few days afterwards. Had to replace the hose again with another mechanic, costing us a whole $50 total for replacement parts/labor... compared to $300+ this company said they charged us. UPDATE 8-4-2021: Less then 2 weeks (10 days) from them installing the engine and it's acting up all over again, worse then what the original engine acted up. Check Engine light is staying on and it's shaking badly... we're probably going tohave to go to another mechanic to fix whatever these guys did to our engine. They might know a little something about oil changes (maybe IDK honestly) but when it comes to REAL Mechanic work, they are TERRIBLE. That's the God's Honest Truth. read more

This place is phenomenal. If I could give more than five stars, I definitely would. We were on our way to Six Flags in Arlington when out of nowhere our AC just went out. We were close to Temple, and I relied on Yelp to find me the best Auto Repair place. We went in expecting to spend a ton of money on a big issue with our car or, at the very least, a labor fee. We explained the issue and Mac, the owner, gave us a guess as to what he thought it was. We handed him the keys, and he got to work right away. Let's start with the pros: -This place is incredibly hospitable. Overall nice guys who aren't in it to make a quick buck or tell you that you need something when you don't. -The shop itself was nice and cool. We have been to many repair shops or just places to get the oil changed that were small businesses and found the waiting area to be hot and uncomfortable. The inside of the shop was well kept, cool, and had a TV going and comfortable chairs. -About halfway through the service, a taco guy came through and we had some BOMB tacos! They were so good!!! In the end, there was an electronic issue with our car that didn't require any sort of maintenance to be done. They reset the system, and we were good to go! We expected a labor charge at the very least, but they didn't charge us to fix the car. These guys are the nicest, most humble, and honest auto shop that we have ever been to. This place is awesome! I needed my lights checked because one headlight wasn't functioning even though it had a new (2 months old) light bulb. It was easy to set up and appointment on their website. (Warning: they are NOT open on the weekends.) The day after I dropped off my car I got a call telling me exactly what they found, an estimate cost, and asking me what all I wanted them to do. You see, the person who installed my headlight did not use gloves. Quick Wrench explained to me that the oil from your hands will cause the bulb to overheat and burn out. I LOVE that they not only told me the problem but also explained how it happened so that I can avoid it in the future. The reason Quick Wrench gets five stars for two reasons: (1) price and (2) honesty. For under $400 they replaced three belts, changed my engine air filter, fixed my hood (wasn't latching all the way), changed my lightbulb, and changed my windshield wipers. They did NOT push me into getting all those things done. I did not feel pressured but since the price was so good, I asked them to just do it all! I had looked into getting my hood fixed at another place (since it's a safety concern) and was quoted more than $500. I am so glad that I went to Quick Wrench. I will be going to them for any issues with my car from now on. Bonus: Mac is nice and explains everything without being condescending. That's important to me since I know some places like to take advantage of people who don't seem to know a lot about cars, especially women. This is a business you can trust! *UPDATE* Hold up. This place somehow got more awesome! They have an "Online Garage" where you can set reminders to get your tires rotated, oil changed, etc. You can see your service history, coupons, and helpful articles about how to best take care of your car. I went to this place for an alignment and there were still issues so I went to a mechanic who told me that my tire was crooked and Quick Wrench should have picked that up on the machine. When I went to inquire I was advised that yes they knew it and did the work anyway and wanted to charge me again although they had it documented in their system that they were doing the work on a bad front end. MAC was who I spoke to he was uncaring and I would recommend you get an alignment anywhere but here, yes it's cheap but the service is also crappy a true depiction of getting what you pay for. read more

This place is awful! Stay away at all costs. If I could give zero stars, I would. You are just a number in the system. I inquired about a brake issue on a Wednesday morning and they said if I got the vehicle in by 9:30 am they would have the problem diagnosed by the end of the day. I left work, made arrangements to be picked up and dropped off that day. I called and left a voicemail - no response. The next day (Thursday - not Wednesday as promised) I got a text estimate for repairs. I approved immediately even though the repairs appeared exorbitant because I needed to get to and from work. I called later in the day and they said they had to order a part. So now it is Friday and I still have not spoken to 1 live person and they are closed for the weekend. I am without my vehicle Wednesday - Monday (at least) and they don't have the decency to call me and explain what is going on. I will never, ever, trust my car to these people again. I was lucky to find this shop while I was in Temple , Tx. Had some strange stuff happen to my Subaru while I was in town from Colorado . Found this shop here on yelp and they did not disappoint! Brought my car in and they gave me a ride back to the hospital where my dad was . Took a day to go over the entire car to make sure they knew exactly what the problem was( did not charge for that days labor). Ended up being some issues on top of what I already knew. Fixed my girl up good and she runs better than ever!!! Happy to give this great company my money and would go out of my way to use them again if I was anywhere in the area! Great with normal cars, not so much with European cars, or at least our Mini Cooper. I am sure they are competent with normal cars. Our Mini Cooper was over heating and we took it to them to have it looked at. The diagnostic was $562, fair enough, it's our fault for buying a Mini Cooper. They said they were not sure what exactly caused the engine trouble, but they did know that we needed another one. Which they found one and would replace it for us for $5000. Bad news but not in their control. We decided to take it to a Mini Cooper specialist. So far so good. The problem was when we went to pay to pick it up was $824. We were charged for a rocker assembly with spring $153, a valve cover gasket $49.95, and spark plugs for $59.96, none of which we approved. But it would have cost more for them to take that out and install the old parts, for labor I suppose. They must have replaced those items before they figured out that it was a bad engine. So like I said, I am sure these guys are great at replacing an alternator or doing other regular work for a regular car. But if you are unsure of what needs to be fixed, I would look elsewhere. read more

DON'T GO TO QUICK WRENCH IN TEMPLE TEXAS! I took my vehicle to Quick Wrench for their glowing reviews. I had one very specific problem that I needed repaired. They kept my vehicle for five days and were never able to fix the problem. What they did do was to fix a couple largely unrelated problems. When I picked up my vehicle I owed $257 and change. I was pissed. When I dropped off my vehicle, the ABS light was on. When I picked it up, the ABS, check engine and break lights were on. I wrote Mac an email and he told me to bring the vehicle back in and he would look up the codes and clear the warning lights. When my husband took the vehicle back, Mac looked under the console disappeared, returned to the vehicle and looked in the engine compartment. Finally he stated that he didn't have the proper equipment to do what he said he would do. He knew what the make, model and year of our vehicle, but it had to be back on his lot before he realized that he didn't have the proper equipment to fix the warning lights that came on while the vehicle was in his custody.
