I've gone there several times for alignments. During my last visit, they told me I needed wheel bearings and gave me a written estimate of about $1,300 for parts and labor. I asked if I could supply my own parts, and they said yes, explaining only that they wouldn't be able to warranty customer-supplied parts. I specifically asked what the labor would cost and was told $645. I ordered the parts and, a few months later, called to make sure the labor price was still the same before bringing my car in. They assured me it was. When I arrived with my parts, instead of pulling up my original estimate, the employee created a new estimate with the labor increased by nearly $300. I stopped him and asked him to print my original estimate. He hesitated and only did so after I repeatedly insisted. The manager then came out and claimed the original labor price was only discounted because I was supposedly buying their parts. That explanation made no sense because I had already told them from the beginning that I would be supplying my own parts, and at that time they still quoted me $645 for labor. They never said that price depended on buying their parts. It felt like an excuse made up on the spot to justify charging me almost $900 in labor. To make matters worse, the parts they wanted to sell me were marked up by more than $500. I bought the exact same brand-new parts myself for only $170. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shop. Make sure you get everything in writing, compare prices, and don't assume they will honor the estimates they give you. After leaving I discovered that they also have complaints with the Better Business Bureau as well

They wouldn't even look at it at first. They seemed to be upset I didn't let them diagnose the problem originally. I am old school and I'm not stupid when it comes to my truck, I have over 300,000 miles on it and I am the original owner. I can tell by listening to it what's wrong with it and I've always been correct. The power steering pump was the original power steering pump it was whining like a stuffed pig, and the truck was not turning properly not only that I had had it diagnosed at another garage, but they were too expensive regardless,I didn't feel like the attitude was correct. I won't go back there for any reason nor do I recommend anyone else go there due to the attitude I was given. I kind of brushed it off when I left to have them fix it,when I returned to pick it up I felt they were uncomfortable with me being there and barely said a word to me. I don't know what their problem was. I am always nice and respectful to people and never went in there angry or yelling cussing. Nothing I was very polite on the phone with them and very polite when I took it back did not expect to be treated the way I was But like I said it is fixed now and working great. I have usually worked on my truck myself because I don't want or trust anyone else working on it however do eye cancer I'm not able to see as well as I should. So at the end of June this year, I had to take my 07 Silverado in to figure out what was causing…read morethe squeaking noise. The mechanics told me that they would inspect it and then let me know. We all concluded it had to be either the timing chain or the harmonic balancer. They had my truck for almost a month and I ended up spending more than double what I was expecting. After they replaced both parts, they then claimed that my lifters are going to need replacing and charged me an additional 2 grand for that as well. After paying for the parts they replaced, I took my truck home only to have a new fault come up, low oil pressure. I called them and had them take my truck back to fix that issue and made them pay for it out of pocket being that this fault never occurred before they took my engine apart. Out of spite, they messed up my alignment. When I FINALLY took my truck back from them for good, my truck was driving somewhat straight but my steering wheel was halfway turned to make this happen. I had to take my truck to another shop for an alignment job which cost me even more money. So all I ask is that if you're reading this, please don't do business with these people. They're going to over charge you for everything and when they mess up and you call them out on it, they're going to cause more issues expecting you to bring it back in so they can continue to gouge you. With all the mechanic shops I've dealt with in over 20 years, these guys are the worst.

I paid $2,300 for an alternator and battery change on my Infiniti Q50 that took them two weeks to fix. When I finally picked up the car, I noticed immediately that it wasn't running right. I drove the car back immediately to the shop and pointed out that the car was handling roughly. The manager then proceeded to go into a number of explanations, which felt like problem deflection and an attempt to gaslight someone who's not as mechanically inclined as them. A week later, I had to put my car back in the shop when the check engine light came on and was informed that Elite Auto did not re-connect key hoses/connections for the turbocharger back to the engine. This resulted in further time and worry (on my part) and damage to the car. Since then, the manager of Elite Auto has been unresponsive to my calls or request for response. Had I known what I know now, I would have sucked it up and paid for another expensive tow to a more competent shop. I'd urge anyone thinking of taking their car to Elite Auto to think twice and go elsewhere.

As I walked-in a gentleman seemed to be closing the books for the day and looked like the only person around. He greeted me and I apologized for being "that guy" and explained my situation. Although the service wase xcellent as usual, I discovered yet another valuable service on offer at Kwik Kar. With todays' costs on everything rising, its important that car owners have an estimate on car parts that will need replacement in the future for planning and budgeting purposes. Items like exhaust systems, brake pads and rotors, timing belts and chains etc. do and will fail unless replaced prior of failure. Preventive Maintenance. Scotty gave me a good rundown on when I could expect to replace my brakes on my Infinity and gave me a projection of when I will need to replace the exhaust system in my second auto, a Dodge Caravan. This type of personalized care, gives me the peace of mind that I can take trips knowing that my autos are in good condition, all preventive maintainance is up to date and operational systems are being watched by Scotty and his team. I showed them where the leak was (weep hole) they proceeded to tell me my intake manifold gaskets needed replacing and the water pump was fine. $1000.00 and a week later I got it back. I drove it to Salado, and when I got out of the car the exact same leak was there. I'm a mechanic , but I elected to have it fixed because I was traveling and didn't have my tools. They didn't even check their work. When I took it back to them, they said they would fix it no charge. When I picked it up they charged me for the pump... Now all these years later I get a text message telling me i can get 10% off on my next service. I thought I had put this behind me years ago, only bringing up the story to illustrate how even mechanics can get taken for a ride given the right circumstances. Now I'm compelled to leave a review . When I replied to the text : Why in the world would I ever come back to a shop that fucked me over so bad that it's the worst experience I've ever had in my life? I went to this place they kept my truck for a week and charged me $127.00 for nothing. That did absolutely nothing. I don't even believe they did a test drive to diagnose the problem. My check engine was on when I got there and had been on for 2 years for the catalytic converter but the truck run fine and that was not why I was there. I believe they saw the light was on and did a scan which told them the catalytic converter should be replaced which I already knew. Bottomline, they told me something I already knew and never addressed the problem I was there for. They charged me the previous $127.00 I mentioned for 2 minutes work. On top of that I had to rent a vehicle on top that which cost me an additional $300.00 plus. I'm 65 and I been to many, many mechanics in my life and this ix by far the worst i've ever seen. The old guy at the front counter has the worst attitude I've ever seen. He's just plain rude and has a extremely nasty disposition. Steer clear of this place and find a real professional garage to service your vehicle, this place is not that.

They come highly recommended from the Austin corvette community. They were booked out for a month, but luckily they were able to squeeze me in for a quick 1.5 hour install within a week! All the other big shops were quoting me for several hours of work, so this small family owned shop easily beat the other estimates. Super friendly service, gave me a good time estimate to come back and had my car back within a couple hours. Definitely make the trip up here (worth the 45 min drive for me) for all your LS engine needs, I can tell they really know their stuff!
