I wonder how many other customers the technicians failed to properly service their vehicles. The quality is disappointing. I was serviced by two technicians who at first I felt were competent enough to work on my vehicle. Upon leaving I found it off that it took less than 5 minutes to complete a checklist and an oil change. They did an oil change but didn't even try to change the filter. Did not put a gasket onto the drain plug although it says it was . Didn't check the air filter, didn't check the any of the fluids that the receipt states is their "checklist", not the coolant, not the transmission, not the washer fluid. The wiper blades weren't checked nor offered. Windshield was not cleaned and tires weren't checked. I don't ask for much but I do ask for things done right the first time. would give zero stars if I could. I took my car in for a coolant flush and it has done nothing but overheat ever since. Before this service, my car NEVER overheated. When I checked under the hood, the coolant reservoir was completely empty and a rag was left behind in the engine bay very careless work. I tried calling over 10 times, waiting more than 15 minutes each time, and nobody ever answered the phone. On top of that, I have no coolant leaks, which tells me the shop simply didn't fill or bleed the system properly. Because of their negligence, my car now has problems it didn't have before. Go to Walmart or Sam's and buy your own oil. Change it yourself because the technicians here are rude, and inconsiderate. They do not value your time or money. Extremely overpriced oil as-well. No value for your money found here. They also "forgot" to put our military discount on the final bill despite us showing them our DOD ID multiple times prior. Disrespectful towards military service members. One more reason to not step foot in this awful establishment. And the classic unnecessary cabin air filter change for $100 didn't work on us, but they saw my wife driving and took a shot scamming her. Arrive at 1430 on a weekday, two other cars ahead of me 3 of 4 bays in use. After 15 minutes, guy came out l, move other 2 cars in bay 1 and 2. I got moved to 4. No one spoke to me for the next hour. Car from 1 Bay finished car from 2 Bay finished other cars moved in. Then car from 1 Bay move out and the second car from 2bay was being worked on. I was greeted very nicely when I walked in by one young man. I went in wanting some help getting my oil changed, I couldn't help but notice a worker (I'm pretty sure it was the manager) sleeping while on the job. I also smelt an aroma of weed or something of the sort coming from him. Meanwhile, another worker named Josh Mitchan helped me and had great recollection of what he was doing and how he was doing it. He was a very respectful young man and answered all my questions while getting the job done. I can very clearly see that he takes pride in what he does even if it's for others. Came in for a state inspection. Took them 45 minutes to complete. Told me my car failed due to "frayed serpentine belt". Took my car to the vw service dept in Temple where they informed me it is NOT frayed. Also per Texas state inspections, serpentine belts are NOT even an inspection point. Do not waste your money on Take Five Temple. They are great at taking your money and over charging you but are not willing to right their wrong and give you a refund on the overcharge immediately. I had been getting my oil changed here for a while because it is quick, and they offer a military discount. However, several months ago it was brought to my attention that my oil was overfilled and I clearly watched a worker pour the new oil too fast and it spilled all over my engine. The team was quick to clean it up and whatnot- but we all know that is not a good situation. I will say the staff is friendly, definitely quick with service, and decently priced. I went by twice did not get oil changed. First time all bays were blocked officially drove 20 miles from belton noone was getting there oil changed and he said it be 20 min wait. I came back 2 days later another 20 mile drive. He pulled me into a bay then said computer was not working and I had to get back in line and wait my turn. I left and not going back. Ridiculous. Well I needed a quick oil change and these folks were close to my work. They were short handed so it took about 20 min for them to get to me. When they finally did, I asked if they were going to check all the fluids and was told yes. However- unless you can check all Of them from the underside of the engine compartment, then this was not done. They did try to sell me a new air filter but at least I can do that on my own. You pay for what you get. I used to be a Jiffy Lube only girl, being spoiled with free vacuum, window cleaning, fluid top off and tire pressure check, but I refuse to go to the Jiffy Lube again in Temple (see review). You get a basic oil change, which is cheap if you come before I think it was 6 PM and then they give you discount if you come before your next change is due, but this place is pretty run down and not super clean, so I will probably be looking for yet another oil change place the next time. read more

EVERY time I go to Take 5 I receive TOP NOTCH customer service. The first thing they do is offer me a bottle of water, then they begin working on my car with hardly any wait time. They change my oil and check the filters, air in tires, etc. Anything I ask them to check on, they check it out. Bad experience at this place. The name would imply it's a quick oil change. I'd expect something around 5 minutes. It took 30 because they kept coming into the waiting area to sell me this thing or that thing. When I declined the high performance oil (my car is not high performance) they acted like I was going to be broken down at the side of the road soon for my bad decision-- had me sign a waiver, of all things, to really emphasize what a tragic and foolish decision I was making. High pressure sales tactics even though they kept saying "we don't want to pressure you"-- like just saying that somehow makes it low pressure. I stopped here for an oil change after work one day because I was behind on it as usual. They were super nice and got the change done really quickly. However in the process they chipped part of the plastic cap (it's not a new car by far). They were very apologetic and drove out to the car dealership to purchase me a new one. Since I had to wait they gave me a free change for next time which would have been fine but they went above and beyond that too. Customer service has gone downhill greatly in the past ten years, but these guys (and girls) are exemplary examples of it. They were polite and didn't just randomly point me into a lane and tell me I had to wait like so many places. They didn't try to push me into buying 90 different things I was likely due for, and were overly apologetic because they genuinely felt bad about my cap. When I told my husband the first thing out of his mouth was "did they buy you a new one at least?". When I told him the story he was "yeah, that's a good deal."
