If a "no star" rating was an option I would prefer to give that rating to this business. My '18 Kia Stinger was towed here in March '23 and remained here for about 3 1/2 weeks. I am only now able to mentally and emotionally bring myself to write about the terrible service I received. I've started a complaint letter to Management but could never finish it because my car had been in limbo since April '23 and I just recently got it back. At the time I received service I dealt with Angel mainly. I found this shop on my Extended Warranty Company's website stating they're a "Preferred Vendor". During the diagnostic process I was advised that in the event my Extended Warranty Co. decided the repair was not covered that I needed to agree to pay for the "tear-down" of my engine which was needed to figure out the exact issue (est $1400). To this I agreed. Once my car was diagnosed it was determined that I had a cracked cylinder head. Initally the repair was approved thru my Extended Warranty Company (who I have a major complaint with also). However, shortly after they realized they messed up letting PTAC even touch my vehicle since it was still covered by my Factory Warranty (I didn't realize as I bought it used). This is when things went down hill... and fast. Apparently my Extended Warranty Company approved to pay for the tear-down of my vehicle (roughly $700) and referred PTAC to tell me to call the nearest Kia Dealership to arrange for service. Angel advised me that I would have to pay to put my car back together because "they didn't work for free" and otherwise they could give me my car back in a box! The inital quote to put my car back together (and not fix it at all!) so I could tow it to Kia was over $2500. My Kia Service Rep was stunned by the quote and spoke with Angel on my behalf. He advised her that they simply needed the car put back how it was when they initially received it, with all original parts (no new parts at all) and just a small amount of fluids. The car didn't need to be drivable and just needed to start so they could run their tests. After that I received a new quote and was eventually charged $1624.59 out of pocket. Mind you.. they still also received the payment from the Extended Warranty Company too! My car was eventually put back together and towed to Kia in Killeen. When it got there I was advised that the car was just "thrown back together" as if they just wanted it out of their shop. The car never did start because the injectors weren't even plugged in! So I had to turn around and pay Kia $600 to pull my engine apart AGAIN to plug the injectors in and fix the mess that was made of my car so they could start it to finally diagnose it. 7 whole months later... My car has a new engine and battery and is running like it's brand new! This was an extremely stressful situation and I felt as though PTAC took advantage of it. Their inadequate work caused serious additional undue hardship on me. It was the beginning of a nightmare. My advise to others is to STAY FAR AWAY from this business! Oh and lastly guess what?!?... My spare tire which was on a really nice rim and was in my trunk when it was initially towed to PTAC was completely missing by the time it got to the Kia dealership. I called to address this issue and was simply told that they didn't have a spare there and they only had a tire without a rim in their office. I was charged $382 to repair my A/C and they did not fix it. They do not honor or offer any warranty on their work. I do not recommend this place they are dishonest. They said there was no leak, then said there was a leak, then said they fixed a leak. When I called back and said the car A/C was still not working they said there must be a leak. I said, I thought you said you fixed it. And they then lied again and so no there was no leak. Horrible place. Very poor service. Yelp you need to offer 0 stars. read more

At sort of the last minute, I needed some significant alignment work done on my 2016 Mustang. I called Precision and talked to Angel at the front desk. She was absolutely phenomenal in securing me a 3PM slot to have my realignment done. The crew was fairly quick and efficient, effectively taking care of my issue in under two hours, including an oil change. I'm definitely coming back here whenever I need my car serviced. read more

The only good thing about this place is the manager Jb and the owners. Jb kept me up to date with everything while I was informed the owners were replacing my engine free of charge because The tech working on my car broke my engine when I came in for a simple Belt replacement. Then after me sitting there all day and the following day I was told no more information while the tech was working on everybody else's car. I wish no star was a rating. The only reason I was even allowing Precision to touch my car is because of JB and Will professionalism. They kept me up to date on everything pertaining to my car and were very polite to me. I have never witness such a pitiful environment like I have been and today was it for me. JB was not even there and I became skeptical and unsure with leaving my car there. Some goofy white guy by the name of Jared I think, was rude and I watch this man take money out the register. When i asked for an update he did not even look my way. The store was dirty and had water leakage and it was filthy in the restroom. The owner allow certain techs to brake part to your car and run up the price when all I needed was my Nissan Murano suspension worked on. This place is only clean when JB is running the shop. I am beyond angry with the way this shop is being ran. Brandon is also very unprofessional. He vapes in the area of which the customer has to wait, and lies about the outcome of vehicles to overcharge. Overall Precision Tune has lost the business of myself and family members that was considering. They use this business to show their racism and I was not raised like that. Went in to get my AC fixed. Randy helped me and was very friendly and professional. There was also another gentleman there (I didn't get his name) who showed me where the relay adjustor was in the fuse box just in case the AC went out again. I wasn't pressured into any unnecessary repairs and I wasn't waiting for an unnecessarily long amount of time. I will definitely be going back for any future repairs as well as routine maintenance. I get extremely stressed when dealing with car problems, but knowing I now have somewhere trustworthy to take my car puts my mind at ease. read more

I am not from the area, just moved here about 6 months ago and do not know anyone. I decided to take my car in because it was making a funny noise. They discovered it was the alternator this was about 3 months ago and they fixed it and the price was reasonable, service was great. I didn't have a ride to work from there and one of the employees gave me a ride and even picked me up when my car was done with their personal car. These people are so honest. The first time I came in my check engine light and oil light were on and they reset and checked everything without charge. The second time I went in for an oil change and got right in without an appointment and was out in 45 minutes. They also recommended cheaper alternatives to things that they could have ordered and done without me knowing a difference. I will continue to go here. read more

I took my truck to Precision Tune when AC stopped working. They said yes, they do AC work. Ended up taking it back three times. Once they found the problem they gave me a quote for the part 3 times over the cost of the part (which I located online). The labor time seemed excessive as well based on research online. So I took it to another place. Sure enough the part was $180 less then they quoted me for the exact same part, and the labor was less as well. They might be good for oil changes, and minor stuff, but I suggest staying clear of this Precision Tune for more major items. read more

They were very thorough, and said they were looking forward to taking care of any future car needs. I called at 08:30 this morning to set up an appointment to have the breaks lights fixed for the state inspection. I was told the earliest was 3:00 pm. I called about 30 minutes after to verify, and confirm my appointment to make sure there was no misunderstanding, and I was confirmed that my appointment was 3:00 pm. Waited the entire day and showed up to the appointment, and was told by the mechanic that I needed to reschedule next day at noon, because his manager book my appointment and he had other cars to finished. Not a call to reschedule or any notification. Poor communication in management leads to poor service. Do not recommend this place. read more

They told me they were not busy when I called and could start if I came right away However I could not get my car started Snd by the time I got there they had two cars ahead of me. I recently visited Precision for the first time. I scheduled an appointment at 4:30 and they promptly started evaluation at the scheduled time. They needed to order a belt which they had delivered and completed the repair by the 6:00 closing time. I left and came back to get my car. I arrived at about 6:10 and staff was still very nice, professional and did not make me feel rushed. Their price was very reasonable as well. I will be taking my car back to Precision next week to complete the recommended maintenance needed. read more

They may be certified, but they are hardly professional. My husband spent the entire day there and witnessing mis -quotes and unprofessional behavior. The technicians were seen throwing tantrums, cussing, laughing at customers, and slamming doors on cars. Our vehicle had previously ran for 15-20 min in front of the business without any sign of a leak. And, as I previously stated, it had never had an issue with leaking before. It would have been much more courteous to ASK BEFORE invasive testing was performed. The technician also insisted on testing the battery even though he was informed that it was just tested. He then tried to charge $45 for that unwanted test. It seems to me as if they were desperate for something new to charge for. He should have taken the hint from the numerous customers who said "don't let that tech with the bad tooth work on my car" We attempted to speak with you before, but noone knew your name or how to get in touch with you! You had already been dealing with misquoted jobs ... Including one mother of 4 who had to leave her car there and walk home because she had dropped it off at 8am and a brake job couldn't be accomplished by 3pm to pick up her kids from school. And you talked to your certified technician and certified manager about this as I was there. Yet they did not know how to contact you again. I am very aware of what they cannot do. If you can't handle the business, don't take on more jobs. He sat there all day for job that wasn't needed before we came in. They created the problem. We took our truck in last Saturday because we believed that a bad alternator had drained our batteries (diesel). We had a warranty through ASC so they had to wait until Monday to contact them but they told us we needed both new batteries, an alternator, belt, and that there was a leak in the turbo system somewhere. When they called us on Monday, they told my husband that the warranty would cover half of the cost of parts and labor for the warranty, leaving our total at $900 something. My husband asked if it was ok if it stayed up there a few days and he would call him Wednesday, since we had to figure out how to pay for all of it, and the manager said it was fine. He immediately called back to MAKE SURE that he understood NOT to do anything to the truck until he called him on Wednesday, he understood. Well apparently not. I received a phone call on Wednesday saying the truck was fixed and ready to go. My husband called them back and told them that he specifically told them NOT to do anything. They brushed it off as a misunderstanding and tried to offer us a payment plan or to sign up for the credit card through their finance company. Then when we said that we should not have to pay for labor, they said there was no way they could do that, then threatened to put the old parts back on it and we could take it somewhere else. They are completely unprofessional, I also contacted the corporate office and they didn't seem to care that one of their franchises BROKE THE LAW by doing unauthorized work on a vehicle. I will NEVER go back there again and I will tell everyone I know not to go there as well. read more

They spent an hour and a half with my car and listening to my concerns, explaining to me why I didn't need certain things that another car shop stated I needed (and were going to charge over $500 for).
