Usually have good experience in Discount Tire where we live in Houston. Cannot say the same for this one unfortunately. We drive to the area to purchase a used truck. We were on a time crunch to get back to Houston. We settled for four tires we weren't thrilled about but the sells person said that was the only ones they had for our vehicle in stock. That was after waiting almost 20 minutes to even talk to anyone. They said it would be 1-1.5 hours. We left to eat lunch. About 35 minutes later we get a call saying the tires we bought they did not have in stock! WHAT?? I really don't understand how that happens! We agreed on fours others. We got back after lunch to find our truck "ready". I went to back it out and the tires rubbed on the finders. About 1.5 hours later we finally leave with the tires we wanted originally that the first guy said they did not have. I will just start with 30 Minutes! Thats literally how long it took from start to finish from pulling up to driving off. My mother had bald tires, you could literally see all of Lincoln's head =) The night before the appt I was able to book a next day, early morning appointment. Quick and easy and definitely worth the price. Upon arriving we were greeted and the vehicle was immediately then taken into the garage and work began. The only qualm that I have right now is that the place is currently under construction. So their waiting area is literally a very small trailer, not comfortable at all. However, the associate took two chairs out for my mother and I and we barely sat down before we were being told the car was ready. Tires are probably the best price around. They can get you pretty much any tire you want. Easy to order and schedule an appointment. But the scheduled time is a lot like a Dr. Appointment. When you arrive a little early, get checked in you will get an estimated time of completion. Your vehicle will not make it into a bay by that completion time. Schedule at least 2 hours out of your day with an appointment, and schedule at least 2 hours out of your day without an appointment. I'm not sure what an appointment really does for you. Today is about my 6th time and a 2 to 4 hour wait each time. You'll save money, but lose time. read more

Awesome shop! The Discount Tire shops in my area were booked all morning on Saturday and since I was going to be in the area I made an appointment for 11:30am. I arrived at 11:25am and waited at the appointment desk for a service member to help me. Tyrel came by and checked me into my appointment. I asked how long it would take since I had to be somewhere at 12:30pm and he explained how many cars were in front of me and that the tire rotation and balance service takes 45 minutes to an hour. I usually have a good experience here. Everyone is nice and pretty helpful. After my last tire change however, they did not replace all the nuts on my tires. Only one tire had the full set and the other three were missing one. They were instead in a bag in my glove compartment. I had been driving for 4 months and was okay, but we called anyway to tell them because I could have got in an accident. Their response was "well if you did it would have happened in the first few days." This place is wonderful! Soon as I parked the car there was a staff walking towards the car already. So glad I came in early, since this place is always crowded. I was greeted by Chris and told him that I needed brand new tires. He did the usual tire inspection and we went inside and checked the best tires for what I need. The Continental tires came up first, and I really wanted Michelin's but they didn't have the tires in stock. So I decided to get the tires and Chris told me that it will take abut 30 to 35 minutes wait. He explained to me all the details, I.e warranty, etc.... and I also receive a 70 dollar rebate in which I will have to mail. I think that was good. The staff are really good and I observed while they were working on my car, they work as a team which was great! And my car was ready in about 30 minutes. That's why I love coming to this place. Worst experience Ive had at Discount Tire yet. Often times go to the one in Cove some times Temple but this time I stopped here for a flat tire. They did repair the tire but left it under inflated I had to take it to a gas station and air it up for the light on my pickup to shut off. They also did not fasten my spare tire back up under the bed proper. I was hearing a noise when I accelerate and brake only to find that my spare tire was left just hanging under the pickup. This shop always does good, quality work. However, the office management is incredibly inefficient today. So a while ago i placed an online order for tires and came in to have the services done, everything was good Jacob got me checked in etc. Now lets fast forward to end of service. I dont remember the young mans name but i know he had long blonde hair. he told me my vehicle was ready handed me my keys and i loaded up into the car and left as i left the parking lot heading towards the highway (with me being a mechanic) i noticed my vehicle pulling to the right which wasnt happening when i brought the vehicle so i went back and found the same young man that handed me the keys. He tried to tell me that because my tires were 2 different brands (not size or tread but brands?!) thats why my car was pulling to the right so i asked him to rotate my tires and put the ones i just bought to the front and he did that, cudos or whatever. Well lets fast forward to today, still have those same tires Ive reached an opportunity where i could use a lift to service my own vehicle so i did my own tire rotation and just like i suspected after doing so those same two different brand tires didnt pull any direction at all and my car drove normal with no issues so because i was lied to due to laziness or plain old stupid and this is my second issue with the company, I will not be returning to discount tire anymore. Had an absolutely wonderful experience here. We were enjoying our coffee outdoors when we took a glance at our car and observed that one tire was going flat. What a pain... We used temporary measures to inflate the tire and drove it to this location afterwards. It was during peak afternoon hours on a payday Friday so there was a brief wait time. The associates were wonderful and assured the patrons in line that they would soon be helped. They worked briskly to assist customers ensuring reasonable service times. My associate explained options without being pushy. I also requested tire rotation as well. I just wanted to fix the tire while wanting time to consider replacing all the tires which coincidently needed to done soon. He assessed it and service took about an hour which was fine because this location is surrounded by many eateries and retail outlets to visit. They contacted us when it was done and I pulled out my debit card as I arrived to checkout. That is when I got the total balance of $0.00 and was told that tire repairs and service was free. I was shocked knowing that this was easily a costly expense at other tire specialty stores. Sometime passed and I knew I really needed to replace my worn tires. The steering wheel would slightly shudder when I would drive on highways. I was happy to come here to get all my tires replaced. We explained that it was an older vehicle and that our budget was important to us so that they would suggest reasonable options. They have very good prices starting at 59.99 a tire. They once again gave friendly and speedy service. Now our car drives smoothly like a feather and we can have a piece of mind that it is out of the way. I do not understand why anyone would make an appointment. I had an appointment at 1130. Came in at 1115. Didn't have anyone come to my truck until 1132, since social distancing and new check in procedures are crap. Sitting around waiting at 1145 still waiting for my truck to get taking in. As I watch vehicle get pulled in one right after the other, I ponder why take the effort to make an appointment if they are not going to adhere by it. So far 3 vehicles have been pulled in since 1130. I guess appointment to them means first come first serve. I guess low prices means low customer service.
