Absolutely terrible customer service. We made an appointment for service on a Ford truck recall. Dropped the truck off at 7:30 and they said they would call when the truck was ready for pickup. It's 4pm and no call. We had to call their office to ask about it, and essentially were told they didn't get around to servicing it. To add insult to injury, after we told the employee to forget it and we'd come pick up the truck, she stated she'd have our truck ready for us at the front. We get there, she's on the phone and jingles the key at us, and we have to walk the parking lot and use our key alarm to find our truck. No apology or call back from the manager or anything. I finally came to ask for an update, only to be told that no work had been performed on my truck and they recommended to do the exact work I had told them to do. Short version: They offered a deal that they did not want to honor. When asked to provide proof to the reasons they were raising the price, they got upset and said they were refusing to do business. Long version My neighbor was buying a new vehicle from Stanley Ford in McGregor. I offered to buy his old truck from him. He agreed to sell it to me for the value offered to him on trade. Stanley agreed to accept the truck and sell it to me for $500 over the trade in value, plus TT&L., what they call an "in-and-out." They had no problem doing the "in". Once they possessed the truck things began to change. Due to a check engine light that was on when they purchased it, they were "unable to sell it in its current condition". They would not say what was wrong with it or any possible repair costs. They did give me a new sales price that was now almost $10,000 more. We already had an agreed on sales price, so I continued to ask for the service bill. When they did not provide this my suspicions grew. After a week with very little communication they provided a service record that failed to itemize the work done, as requested. They also called my neighbor back and told him that they would send him a new check for more money. This would in turn cost me more. I told them I was okay paying the increased price if they could provide me a better service record, let me view the parts that were removed from the truck and provide proof that they were sending my neighbor a check for more money than they originally paid him. They decided to rescend their offer to me. After sending an email highlighting their deceptive practices as outlined in the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, I was given a number to their COO. He spoke with me and initially said no deal. After I told him what happened, he said he would review everything and call me back by 10am. The next day was a Saturday and I told him not to waste his weekend on this, but I would like a call back. He assured me he does not get weekends off with 500 employees. On Monday at noon, after not hearing back, I texted the COO. He texted back that he reviewed it and we would not be doing business. This does not sound like an isolated incident. After reviewing multiple online complaints outlining similar trade practices, I too decided to share my story. For their top management to review what happened and not care to resolve the issue, I believe that this is not a singular problem but one that is allowed to permeate through the company. Complaints have also been received with similar dealings at their other locations. My neighbor expressed multiple concerns of his own before, during and after his purchase. I will let him choose if he want's to share his story. Because of my neighbors warning up front, I recorded my conversations with the sales team. This kept them from being able to walk back their statements, but in the end it only highlighted their business practices. read more

Kris had just finished showing two vehicles to another customer.  He saw me browsing the vehicles, walked over, and asked if he could help.  He unlocked the Taurus SEL I was interested in, allowed me to look around inside, candidly and truthfully answered my questions, and offered to go with me on a test drive. A few days earlier, I had looked over some 2016 Taurus SEs on another dealer's lot, but none of them had leather interior, which is an upgrade I prefer.  The Dune leather interior and the SEL trim attracted me to this Taurus, which I ultimately bought. After the test drive with Kris "riding shotgun," he later allowed me to drive the car alone, as I typically drive with no one else in the vehicle.  He worked up some ballpark monthly payments with your Sales Manager Troy and showed me the printout.  They had used the price on the rearview-mirror tag.  I showed Kris your dealership's website on my smartphone, which had a substantially lower price.  After conferring with Troy, Kris apologized for not having the latest Stanley Automotive pricing information and stated y'all would honor the internet price. Kris allowed me more than ample time to think about my decision, go outdoors unaccompanied to think, and then come back to his desk and discuss my thoughts.  He demonstrated the epitome of a "no pressure" sales approach.  I highly appreciate his behavior, which helped me take the time I needed to come to my own decision. If I could give these folks a zero I would. First of all they post COVID signs but don't follow the rules themselves. The sales person came to me without a mask. Then they didn't have the truck I wanted but convinced me to come in to see if they could "so called" help locate one. I came in and waited for 40 minutes and they came to me and tried selling me another truck. I told them exactly what I wanted and the color but they kept on pushing and had the worst attitude. Very pushy and rude. I explained several times what I wanted and left. Before I left they were very rude and told me when I'm serious about buying at truck to come back. I am not going back and I will make sure my family and friends don't either. I ended up going to Bird Kultgen Ford. They were very nice, respectful, helpful. Even though they didn't have what I wanted they did not treat me like Stanley did. I will go back to Bird Kultgen in the next few weeks when they get the truck I want. read more

Stanley Ford damaged my vehicle while it was in for maintenance, lied about the damage, and refused to pay for their mistake. I brought my wife's vehicle in for seat warmer repairs. When the job was complete, I picked it up after work on 5/27/2021. Immediately when bringing it home, I noticed a large dent on the hood and chipped paint nearby (probably as a result of the dent). I took 6 pictures of the damage at 8:04 PM and called them the next day, 5/28/2021, right as the service department opened at 7:30AM. I asked to speak to the manager but was told he was unavailable. I explained the situation to the person on the phone and was told to text the damage pictures to him. I submitted the pictures at 10:04 AM on 5/28/2021. I still have this person's phone number though obviously I won't post it here since this incident was not his fault. I was told that the manager would call me back. He did not and around lunch I called again. I did not get the manager but instead spoke to Taylor this time and was told that the manager was still not available and to bring the vehicle in on the following Tuesday, 6/1/2021. I brought it in Tuesday morning, and Taylor took pictures of the damage. He said that he would submit the photos to the dealership's insurance and that they would contact me within two weeks. Two weeks passed and I heard nothing. On 6/19/2021 I began to become nervous and called my insurance, Geico, and explained the situation. They contacted the dealership who said that they never took pictures (a lie) and never submitted a claim. What's more, they claimed that it came in with damage that we caused ourselves by buffing the hood for rust (no rust was ever on the hood, and we would never attempt to buff it ourselves - we leave service to the professionals who know what they are doing!). When the Geico representative asked how they knew this, they provided no justification other than that it was "clear to them." Crucially, the dealership provided no explanation about where the huge dent came from. I spoke to the Geico people and they were very helpful but ultimately they said that it came down to "he-said-she-said." They believed me and appreciated the detailed notes that I had been taking of the incident. Geico listed the damage as "no fault" on my policy. However, I am still out of the deductible to repair the damage that Stanley Ford caused and lied about. Stanley Ford is acting in the definition of "penny-wise pound-foolish." My family has used them to purchase our Ford vehicles and for maintenance there, and because they have failed to do the right thing, now they have lost our business. I hope that you too, informed reader, will take this into consideration and stay far away from Stanley Ford. read more

If I could give no star I would. The worst service I have ever experienced. I brought my Jeep in for a oil change, tire rotation, and car wash. During the service they stripped two studs and ruined three lugnuts then tried to charge me 150 dollars to fix it even though they caused the damage. Then refused to fix it. I ended up have to demand them to place the tires on so that I could limp it home and fix it myself. 30 dollars later I fixed it myself no thanks to this terrible dealership. read more

I went in for an oil change left paying for an oil and rotate"works" got a broken wheel stud which they said they couldn't rotate to risk it braking...paid for it...questioned why since I never authorized the rotate...called service manager and to this day never recieved a call(it's been 2-3 months) I used to work as a service writer for years...this is actually against the law...to bad I'm in the market to buy another truck get in a few weeks...service department is completely incompetent. read more

Customer service was great, but think it was to get me into this 2000 Chevy Corvette, which was my dream car. Took it to my mechanic after purchase (should have done before purchase). Has power steering leak, oil leak, and short in the steering column which makes the turn indicators only work sometimes, tires are 10 years old and need to be replaced. Tires alone are going to cost me $1,100! They said it passed inspection and will not honor any of these expensive repairs and that I have too. Love my car, but very disappointed with what they sold me with all the things wrong with it. I am retired and trying to come up with all of these additional expenses is going to be very hard financially on me. I won't ever go back. read more

Drove all the way out there from Austin, almost a two hour drive due to a wreck. They advertised a 2013 Nissan Juke as having a sun roof and showed a photo of it that conveniently didn't show the driver side door with damage. It did not have a sunroof, we were told it was in great condition but had a number of dings. I wouldn't have posted this, but when we left, we asked that the description be corrected and, a week later, it is still up, inaccurate, inviting some other unwitting person to drive out there for this "bargain" deal. I drove 2.5 hours to this dealership based on a car they listed on AutoTrader. In the pictures the car looked great, no exterior body damage at all, and none listed. However, when I got there, the entire driver's side had an enormous ripple and scratches and trim was missing over the rear fender. It was not something small, this was from fender to fender and was so obvious in person. I had been really excited about this car, and looked at the pictures tons of times before driving down to see it. I honestly cannot see any damage. The people were very nice, but not informative. The lady at the service desk seemed to get mad when I questioned the need to replace an air filter on a 15k mile truck. She quoted me one price over the phone(WHICH WAS HIGHER THAN THE LAST TWO OIL CHANGES AT OTHER FORD DEALERSHIPS). I had them change the air filter with the oil change. When I asked why the oil change was now $20 more than she quoted, she said it was because my truck needed 8 qts of oil not the 7 she quoted. So I guess when they screw up, they get to charge $20 for another qrt of oil??? Then while checking out another lady that worked the service counter, advised me that if she had told me about "the works" it would have been a lot less than what she charged. The second lady let me know to come back to her and she would help me out next time..... I live 200+ miles from here, there will never be a next time, even if they were my local dealer. I know money is tight for me as well as everyone else, but this stealership is out of line doing it this way. I only post this so if you are either new to the area or passing through when it comes time to service your vehicle.... Truck engine or transmission was bucking and losing power. I went and Chris the service advisor whom took my info down. Tech Steve conducted diagnostic and cancelled the code my truck was giving. This took about 5 minutes. Steve reported findings to Chris, Chris,told me that the PCM needs to be reprogramed, CAC shield needs removing and all 6 spark plugs need to be changed out but cylinder 1 Spark plug had to be replaced. The overall cost was almost $700.00. I told Chris that was too much, He quotes almost $400.00 to reprogram PCM and change out all 6 spark plugs and cylinder 1 was miss firing. I told him to change out the cylinder 1 spark plug and I wanted it, in less than 5 minutes, Tech Steve removed and installed a new spark plug. My Bill (Invoice # 142931) reads as follows: Labor $192.00, Parts $20.96, Tax $1.73 = $214.69 for a new spark plug. Being retired for 23 years in the US Army, I asked L.A. Caufield about a military discount, he responded "yes", when I stated to Chris the Service advisor I was a retired Army Soldier, he stated "thank you for your service" and shook my hand, no discount. I called and asked Leo Pacheco Stanley Ford General Manager, he stated yes. Basically, my perception of Stanley Ford is They will get as much money as possible I will go to Gloff Ford in Clifton next time. read more

I purchased a truck at this location with gap insurance, after only a year I sold it and upgraded to a different vehicle since the one I bought from them was causing to many headaches and alot of money (bought a lemon). I have been calling for the past 3 weeks attempting to get my gap prorated refund but the finance manager Ernesto Lopez refuses to call, email or text back. I have contacted the General manager as well who promised a call back but here we are another week later and nothing. I went to Stanley Ford for a state inspection and had them do a 99 point inspection. This was a test to see how truthful they were and unfortunately they failed. They said my coolant was inspected and needed to be changed, too bad it was just replaced in august at another Ford dealership. They also said my truck was misfiring and needed a tune up. Again was done already about a year back, but decided to take it to a mechanic in Houston and nothing. Watch out this service crew tries very hard to take advantage of you. By far the worst experience I have ever had with a dealership. 3 days after buying a certified car, the clutch went out, it was in the shop for 3 weeks before they decided they would pay for it since a clutch is a ongoing issue and happens over time. I get the car back, with a check engine light and misfire, which were discovered 3 miles after leaving the dealership, went back to have it fixed and they said they wouldn't fix it unless it was paid for even though the engine light and misfire wasn't on prior to taking it in. Somehow the my key got turned on, even when I only have 1 key and asked them to fix it since it was their problem and they have the tools to do it and would take them just a minute or two and no labor. They refused. Fast forward a couple of days, the aftermarket radio stops working which controls the AC, I buy a new head unit to fix it and it didn't fix it. I called them at least 10 times, I got the run around time and time again, being told they'd have the manager call me back and he never did. I go to the dealership only to be told they can't do anything and it's my problem even though they sold me a vehicle that had issues from the 3rd day of buying it. I asked for the owners name and point of contact and their sales manager, Chris, would not give me that information. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone!!! read more

I had a problem with a 2005 F250 diesel, after spending $5,375 I still had the same problem. They wanted me to pay $1,700 for more repairs. Needless to say I will never trade, buy, or have a vehicle worked on at Stanley. They owe me $5,375. Only a few weeks earlier they had worked on our Ford Edge and had put the brake pads in backwards and drove it for a test drive and then putting them in the right way, only to ruin the rotors, a bill of. We went to another dealership to have the problem fixed, $307. The building does not deserve the Ford name on it, because I know a true Ford dealership has much higher standards. read more

Especially if it is their own means of transportation. It is not the consumers fault that Ford Makes crappy vehicles and not the consumers fault you sell them. It is my fault for buying one and my fault for trusting your establishment. Sure you might be greeted with a smile from ear to ear and they may remember who you are from the last time you were in there. But the smiles are saying, "Ah yes, a sucker to take their money from then treat them like crap later." Also, the sales people if they don't want to talk to you, they lie and dodge your calls.
