Communicated with the salesman Gates the entire time and made it clear I'd be down from Fort Worth (1.5 hour drive) first thing Saturday morning. I got videos of the actual car and thought I saw a few blemishes on it so asked for it to be washed and ensure there was nothing notable to see on the car since we were coming all that way and planned to take the car as long as it was up to snuff. On Saturday morning I texted Gates to let him know I was on my way and 10 minutes prior to opening a sales manager (Joseph) called and asked if we were still coming as another store wanted to sell it. Well, we arrive right as promised at 9 am sharp to look at a car that had scratches on almost EVERY PANEL. Well all of a sudden the car wash didn't work, he was double booked for his appointment even though we very well communicated that we were coming and then took his time to deal with it. We hung around for an hour and then called back and he hadn't gotten anyone working on the issue. It wasn't that it could be resolved immediately but it was the lack of follow up and eagerness to handle the issue when we wasted half our day to go get this car. The Facts: We finalized the contract and paid the total agreed-upon amount. The transaction was complete and binding. After claiming a "documentation error," the dealership later, when pressed about the missing registration, proposed a completely revised contract with a SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER PRICE. They are actively trying to void a fully funded, executed contract to extract more money, displaying extreme negligence. As a result of their incompetence and failure to process paperwork, my vehicle registration was dangerously delayed. They have shown zero respect for the legal contract. DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP. Do Not Buy A Car here. I've contacted this dealership about 3 cars the first car was a mustang I went down to check it out the sales lady could not find the car she wasted 45 mins of my time. She said she would call me when the car pops up. I never was contacted about the mustang. Then i contacted about a jeep wrangler a couple of weeks later, I go see the jeep and person and the sales lady says she's not sure if the jeep is sale-able. I understand but why is on the website with a price and getting an email saying to check it out!!! The jeep had to many issues to sale at the moment is what I was told. They lost the paperwork & didn't care to even help us! They didn't care that it was lost or even try to find it! They told us to go to our bank instead of GM financial! AutoNation Chevrolet Waco - The Worst Car-Buying Experience I've Ever Had I purchased a vehicle from AutoNation Chevrolet Waco in December 2024, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. Unprofessional Sales Process I initially called the dealership to ask for pictures of a vehicle that wasn't listed online yet. The sales associate sent me photos and then completely ghosted me. I had to call again and got connected with an older gentleman who was actually helpful and convinced me to come in. I drove all the way from Houston to Waco for this car, only to get handed off to another salesperson named Jack--who had no idea what he was doing. I'll just call him Jackass because that's exactly how he handled the process. Despite the dealership's disorganization and incompetence, I finalized the deal. The car needed a lot of work--new tires, a new windshield, hood damage, and more. The dealership agreed to fix everything before I took delivery. They Didn't Deliver on Their Promises After finalizing the sale, they kept the car for three weeks, promising it would be ready soon. Every time I called for an update, I got a different excuse--Jackass would say one thing, the sales manager, Michael, would say another, and no one actually knew what was going on. When I finally got the car, they never washed or detailed it. The paint was completely messed up, and the headlight they promised to restore was still filthy. The car was delivered to me dirty, looking nothing like what they had promised. More Delays and More Lies On top of that, the sensors from the damage they claimed to have repaired weren't even replaced. Michael then told me to take the car to an AutoNation Toyota dealership near me (1.5 hours away), but when I got there, they refused to work on it and called Michael--who acted surprised and clueless. At this point, I took the car to Lexus, which I originally told Michael to do in the first place. Lexus quoted $7,000 in necessary repairs. It then took Michael and his general manager over a month to approve the repairs, all because they failed to ensure the car was properly fixed the first time. Michael Acting Like He Did Me a Favor After all the delays and lies, Michael had the audacity to act like he did me a favor by finally getting the repairs approved--when in reality, they were obligated to fix the car from the start. He didn't do jack shit. To top it off, they couldn't even pay to get the car detailed after all of this. After everything I went through, they still handed me a dirty car with messed-up paint and uncleaned headlights. Final Verdict - Stay Far Away I paid for a car I didn't even get to drive for two months because Michael and his team failed to do their jobs. We called to have my A/C serviced to add Freon and was booked for an oil change. Moving forward, I wanted to look at new cars since my husband and I had been discussing it. I had a new sales rep Morgan, who showed me available new 2025 Chevy Trax's. I was interested in a new 2025 Nitro-Yellow Cevy Trax Active Morgan quoted for $21,995. When we went to take it for a test drive, there was quite a bit of dog hair and dust in the drivers side floor board and a lot of scratches on the inside drivers side door where it looked like a dog scratched the door trying to get out. Also, the car had 3084 miles on it. So, it wasn't new . . . I showed it to Morgan and Morgan told me the car was a "loaner" for when a customer had an issue with their other Trax. I told Morgan they should adjust the price since it is not new from the showroom floor, but rather a loaner. Morgan told me she would check on it. Morgan checked on it and told me they told her that was the adjusted price for the car. I asked to speak to the manager about the scratches on the door. A manager came to Morgan's desk and spoke to me about hopefully getting the scratches out, and if not, I wanted to know if he would compensate for the door with an additional price reduction adjustment. The manager said yes, if the scratches are still visible, he would compensate. Moving forward, Morgan sent the car to detailing, we called my bank and the began the paperwork for the sales transaction. When Morgan returned, the sales price was higher than what Morgan quoted me. I asked to speak to the manager again. A different manager came to Morgan's desk. I told him the issue, he looked on Morgan's computer and my paperwork and told me Morgan had the wrong number. I told him a different manager told me he would adjust the price if the scratches didn't come off the door. we walked out to the car to look at the door and the scratches were still visible. The manager asked me which manager told me he would reduce the price for the scratches. I told him I didn't get his name but pointed to the direction I felt his office was. He told me that the other manager had no authority to make that decision because he was a finance manager and not a new car sales manager, but that he himself was the new car sales manager and that he can not go below a $4000 deduction on any new vehicle used as a loaner without calling corporate. I told him to call corporate, he responded that it would take 21 days for the decision process and to see if his detail guy who has 28 years experience can do a better job. I told him the detail guy already knew the deal before hand and didn't care to do a good job. He responded the detail guy just wiped it with glass cleaner to see if the scratches would come off organically, and to give him a chance to work his craft with a machine or blower machine. At this time, I had to use the restroom, not liking the experience at all, I called Don Ringler Chevrolet in Temple and told them my issue at Autonation. Don Ringler Chevrolet in Temple made an appointment for me immediately and I excused myself from Autonation Chevrolet. I came home with a 2025 Cacti green Chevy Trax Active by 6 PM, spending more money at Don Ringler. When I compared the paperwork, I noticed Autonation automatically added to add-ons for $749.50 each. One was for an "Appearance Fee - 3 yr" and another for $749.50 for dent protection. When I looked up what an appearance fee was, I found that it was a fee for door scratches, etc. . . Don Ringler Chevrolet had never heard of an appearance fee or the other add on. I went back today to speak to the General Manager, David Baker, and told him of my experience at his operation. He was apologetic and wished that I had came to him beforehand. I thought that I was asking for THE manager and getting THE manager, so I didn't know about him. Moving forward, Mr. Baker did explain to me that the add on Appearance fee of $749 and the add on dent protection fee for $749 are optional. I did not know that, the sales manager did not tell me that. I showed Mr. Baker my old messages from last year with pics of a nitro yellow Trailblazer from last year and one of a nitro yellow Trax from a few days prior as my wish cars. I told Mr Baker what my wish from this experience is that Morgan might get a gift card or two at least $100 each because everything went awry for her as a sales rep and that maybe to review their job descriptions for the finance manager and the Sales manager, so there would not be role clarity issues in the future. Mr. Baker told me he will use this experience as a training opportunity in the future and I think that's best practice! Staff turnover is expensive and creates quality issues for everyone! Mr Baker invited me back in 6 to 8 months to purchase a used car for my children and stated that Morgan could be my sales rep. Maybe so, it is only two blocks from where I work. We found Auto nation chevy dealership in Waco. They were sweet and kind and understanding with us. They were also very patient with us since we are elderly and we were stranded. To preface, AutoNation Waco and Mercedes-Benz of Waco are owned by the same people. Paul Carrizales II (Sales Manager) is rude and arrogant and absolutely REFUSED to admit he was 100% in the wrong with regard to a vehicle purchase made. I would have even accepted a non-apology had he conceded there MAY have been a miscommunication. That's not what he did. And so, here we are. My husband and I made the drive to this dealership (which is an hour from us, one-way) to test drive a Mitsubishi on the lot. I spoke to one of the sales consultants. The sales consultant introduces me to Paul and it was at this transition that everything seemed to go south. He asked me how the vehicle was being paid for on multiple occasions. "It's being financed," I said on multiple occasions. We get the keys and are expected to arrive back the following Monday to drop off the check. We get the title in the mail and there is no lienholder listed. We make many attempts to contact the dealership to get this fixed. We are given expectations of call-backs which don't happen. Eventually after a week of non-responses one of the title clerks tells me to drop off the title and they will fix it. At this point it's been a month since the vehicle purchase. We have to drive back to the dealership and Paul states arrogantly that I NEVER told him the vehicle is being financed. He claims I told him I was paying for the vehicle outright. I work at a financial institution. The check was made out to both me and MB of Waco. Exactly ZERO people buying a car outright will make the check out to both themselves and the dealership. Not to mention he signed the back of the check which has instructions on how to add my bank as a lien holder. Did he not know what he was signing or why he was signing it? Car broke down on the way home from Austin to Elgin. We had it towed here. Our dealings with the service manager Patrick and his team have been awful, inconsistent and full of dishonest issues. We caught them lying about labor time/costs. Our hands are tied with our warranty and so they are pulling every penny they can. They have zero customer service skills and lack integrity. Even when they said they'd cover a rental, when we checked in hours later, no progress had been made and they said the rental was now on us to aquire. Don't give them your business. Matt Bush has Very poor communication skills. Dropped my vehicle off on my vacation time so they had 6 days to fix the heater control & engine misfire. 'Service advisor' Matt Bush let my vehicle sit for 2.5 days without calling me to inform me of needed repairs. I initiated 1st contact 2.5 days after dropping vehicle off & found he had been waiting 2days for an ok from the fleet agency for the repair. Within 1 hour I got the ok from fleet for him. Additionally, Matt Bush stated there was no problem with the misfire that I brought it in for, I indicated I would bring it elsewhere to get that fixed. Matt then apparently had the tech re-drive it and they found that the vehicle needed spark plugs, coil pack, and plug wire. Had Matt Bush informed me of the 'no problem found' issue earlier in the week, I could have related more info to him and saved several days of the vehicle just sitting on the lot doing nothing. Because of the lack Matt Bushs'communication, I had to get a rental car for my first day back to work because the repairs were not complete when I needed to pick the vehicle up, Matt Bush made no apologies and had no empathy for the situation. When the van was completed on Monday evening, Matt Bush texted me at 6:07pm stating I could pick the vehicle up and the keys/paperwork were on his desk. I arrive approx 7pm to find the service department locked up and no one in the sales side had the keys to get in. Again, no apologies or empathy, just a 40 minute wasted trip for me. I had to return again Tuesday am to pick up the van, thanks to the lack of communication by Matt Bush. In the end the repairs were completed and the vehicle is fine, but lack of communication caused me to pay for a rental car and these repairs to take much longer than they would have if Matt Bush would have properly communicated. Additionally, the dealership charged an additional $379 to remove the engine cover of the van, but it was never removed... the tech went in thru the fender well areas to replace the spark plug, wire, and coil pack. (I saw the van with the wheels off & Matt Bush confirmed that was how the tech was doing the repair- instead of pulling the engine cover). So maybe some overcharging for repairs as well. Well....i was told they sold it. Apparently I couldn't be bothered to be contacted to ask if I wanted to put a deposit or anything. Well, get this, I then get told in less than 24 hours, that they are going to offer me $3,000 less for my trade in. When I was told yesterday by a manager that the deal was good through the following day. How in less than 24 hours are you going to lowball someone on their trade? They are trying to rip me off by offering almost $10,000 less than what my vehicle is worth. I understand they need to make some money, but $10,000?!! Come on, that's just ripping people off! Went in for oil change and tire rotate.... Vehicle done quickly ok.... I always use Mobil 1 100% synthetic oil they didn't ask anything looked at receipt semi synthetic Penzoil. My vehicle has always been serviced at Chevrolet dealers and have always been asked what's my preference. Checked the marks i put on tires to see if proper factory recommended rotation was done wheels were not rotated. Had oil changed at a different GM dealer they brought out the oil filter to show me it a low budget aftermarket oil filter. Autonation Chevrolet Waco is not up to the GM service and parts standard I have been accustomed to across the country. read more

The Fort Worth location made an agreement with the Waco location to drive down the following morning and pick up the vehicle. We purchased a vehicle from this so called dealership, they say they take care of there customer no matter what it takes but its a lie. We had the vehicle for approximately two weeks and engine light came on, took it back and they still have it to this day. We found out that before they sold it to us it had codes come up and they chose not to fix them and sold it anyway. (I guess thinking it would make it past the warranty) but guess what it did not. So we said to trade this vehicle for another, and the only one they would offer is out of our price range, so we asked for a refund and sales Manager Cody at the Waco Location did not offer any kind of help what so ever. Did not give any kind of discount price for the replacement or anything of the such to help. The only thing he said they would do is fix the repairs to the messed up vehicle they sold us at no charge. (wow so kind). purchased the vehicle end of January 2023, it has been 20 some odd days in the shop (and still counting) with no phone call from Cody or Steven both of which I think team up to screw people around. No offer of a courtesy vehicle, refund or trade of any kink. If I could give a negative star believe me I would, but can promise this will never buy from them again and will tell everyone I talk to not to go to AutoNation to buy anything. I have been reluctant to leave a feedback to AutoNation Chevrolet since the car was serviced there, however I received averaging 4 emails per week asking me to leave a feedback so there you go. This review directs to the service department. I have no experience with the sales whatsoever. Anyway, my friend's car was left outside in Texas weather for couple years and turned out to be unable to drive. I pulled the car to AutoNation to perform a total inspection and see what were wrong. the service staff told me that battery was dead (expected) and unless I replace the battery first they wont be able to do any thing. we all know that's gimmick but I did that anyway, paid near 300 dollars to replaced the battery (since the bill is to my friend). the result came in, with a broken alternator to be replaced for 900 dollars, a dead A/C compressor for more than 2.5K and other issues. I fixed some minor issues so the car is drivable afterwards. but then I noticed a CEL which was not there before. Anyways I was able to get the car to another shop so I can replace the alternator and A/C cheaper. the other shop did an inspection for free and told me that, although the alternator is not in great shape, it's working, instead it's a 20 dollar-worth fuse (connects alternator and battery) that was blown out (by hot weather maybe) that caused no charging. I was able to put in a new alternator and fuse within 200 dollars (parts + labor). In reality I can fix the no charging issue with only 20 dollars to replace the fuse. While I was glad I didn't fall for the 900 dollars trap to fix the alternator, the other shop took out the AC compressor and told me it's working really fine, and the problem is actually a leaking valve/tube in the AC that all the refrigerant is drained rapidly. Again they fixed A/C by simply replacing a tubing stuff in the system within 200 dollars. I felt ridiculous how AutoNation charged more than 2.5K for a 200 dollar work, and even so they just recklessly suggested to replace every thing in the A/C instead of pointing out an obvious leaking issue. More so I was worried about the CEL, since it was not there before. but the other shop checked the code and noticed it's a disconnected senor/plug. looks like AutoNation took some plugs out and forgot to put them back. I also have to mention I missed a tons of valve caps in the car. I am sure they were all minor issues, but feel bad to see AutoNation took them out for inspection but did not put them back to where they belong.
