We needed an extra key fob for my son's car and decided to visit this location. The young man that helped us was very friendly and rang us up and we paid cash. After checking his stock, they didn't have the fob in stock at the location, but he could have it at the store later that afternoon. We were fine with that and decided it would work out better if I took the car the next morning to get the fob. I go in Saturday morning and a different man was able to get the fob cut and programmed and sent me on my way. Very nice and easy. Now here we go. I'm back at home prepping some food for the day and I get a phone call from Batteries +.... That's odd. I answer and it is the man that cut and programmed the fob for me this morning. He proceeds to tell me that he forgot to collect payment for the fob.... I informed him that we paid yesterday with cash. He says he doesn't show that we paid, but I'm telling him we did. He hangs up. Shortly after, I get another call from Batteries + and it's the man again and he says that they have no record of me paying and the manager checked the video and there wasn't anything on the video showing me paying. He says I need to go back and pay and if I don't, they will prosecute me for theft! Theft!! (How do you steal something that they gave me and I paid for?) I told him that they better check the video again. Now I'm searching the house for the shirts I wore the day before to see if I left the receipt in the pocket. My wife already had the shirts in the washing machine. We proceed to stop the machine and start digging trying to find the shorts I wore to see if there is some part of the receipt.... I'm steaming at this point. Angry at being accused of theft and trying to dig through wet clothes for a dumb receipt. Now we get another call from Batteries + and it's the same man. He was very remorseful and apologized saying that his manager looked at the video again and saw me paying for the fob. He initially was looking at the wrong register!! So now they have to retract the accusations placed against me. Of course, the manager was spineless and had his associate do the calling and apologizing instead of calling me himself. Not much of a leader. There were other ways they could have been checking if I paid or not before quickly calling and threatening. I guess the register had an extra $146 from the day before that they had no clue came from. I guess you can assume that I'll never go back there. read more

I had excellent service here. God bless the guys who work here. I needed a new battery for my Samsung S7. It had to be ordered from another location. As soon as the battery was available, I came in and delivered the phone to an associate. A few hours later, I came in again and picked it up. The phone is operating like new now. While the battery before had to be charged in power-save mode just so it would increase, now the new battery holds the full charge beautifully and I can restfully use my phone, knowing that there is plenty of power time available. Been here a few times. At least once or twice before moving to Waco and a few times after. They have always been very friendly and very helpful and have helped me quickly. I have came before and got a new battery for my car key and just a few days ago a watch battery for my wife. They have much more than just batteries now. They have obviously bulbs and lots of electronic stuff. When I brought in the watch they offered me the lifetime replacement battery offer that is currently being offered. It is a bit more but I did get that with my car remote key before and they have replaced it before. So I got that. I like the staff here better than the ones in Houston. They seem quite a bit more polite and more friendly and helpful. I will go back there again the next time I am in need of a battery. Great service is what I like for sure. read more

Used to love coming here and did so frequently. The staff here are incredible and do their job with professionalism, however they have allowed an organization to setup a booth/canopy out in front of the store that horribly harasses everyone for money. I'm not talking about a soft approach either, it's yelling at you for attention just mere seconds after getting out of your vehicle, walking over to you, following you to the door giving you their sales pitch and ultimately shaming you for not wanting to give up your money to them. They were run off by the UPS Store across the parking lot so I guess this is their new spot. All the businesses owners and managers in this business center need to speak to whoever owns this property and have them PERMANENTLY removed. The majority of Battery Plus customers are elderly and I know they are being harassed and taken advantage of by this organization setup outside. PLEASE get rid of them read more

I called the store and they said not to worry come back when it was convenient and they would have a look at it. I went back a couple days later and they found it wasn't the battery it was my watch. I thought I was doing business with a great company. Spent over $350 on batteries for my jet skis. I maintain both batteries in the same condition, unfortunately one battery failed. I brought it back to the store to have it tested and hopefully replaced. My service at that location was well below than what I was expecting. I thought my service would be better than Walmart but actually Walmart takes care of its customers a whole lot better. The manager at Batteries Plus said he wasn't going to warranty my battery out because of low voltage. The battery was at 11.6V and he declined my warranty. This is not a place that you want to do business. It's really not the money that I'm upset about. What happened to old fashion customer service and pride in the products you sell? This company just want your money but offers nothing else. You go in the store and the first thing they do is try to oversell you on everything and when you leave with the product, they might as well say good luck, because they're not there for you when it's time to help take care of a defective product. This is just one post compare to what I'll be posting next and if it takes me paying people and standing in front of the store with a sign then I will do it. Batteries Plus, I will not give up, until you stand behind your product!!! I don't need anyone to tell me how to maintain my batteries when I bought 2 of them and maintained them exactly the same way and the other one is just fine. This tells me that the battery has a dead cell in it! It's something that defected in the battery and your company refused to stand behind its product. I believe your company is lying about its procedures in voiding my warranty. There's no way that I can unplug my battery maintainer and the battery is 2v but your system held the battery at 11V for 2 days. Your company has fixed documentation to not warranty and that is bad business. You'll should be ashamed. read more

Went in to get the screen on my iPhone replaced. It took about two hours, which I had no problem with, and they were moderately priced. No problem. I got home and realized that my brightness on my screen would no longer adjust, and my screen had barely half of the sensitivity that it typically had. Texting is an ordeal because I have to press harder than I should on the screen in order to get my phone to type anything. It sounds trivial, but think about how much you type into your phone, and then consider having to double your time and efforts for absolutely everything. When I took my phone back in, about a week later, to have it worked on again, I explained the problem to the man behind the counter. He told me that the screen brightness could not have been his fault, as all he did was replace the screen. Fair enough, but I could adjust my brightness before leaving my phone in his care. Better yet, when I explained the sensitivity problem, instead of apologizing and taking the phone for adjustments, his response was, "well maybe you need to be pushing down harder on the screen". ............... He told me it would take 3-3.5 hours to fix my phone, so I had to decline for the day as I was in the middle of my work day and cannot operate without a phone. He looked offended that I would be leaving without him working on my phone again. I'm fairly busy and, as such, wasn't back in for a while. Warranty on phones is 30 days, which is fair, but I missed the cut off due to a hectic schedule. My screen is getting worse, I now have to turn my phone off and on for it to even recognize that I am trying to give a command, and my battery does not charge if my phone is on. I will NOT be leaving such an expensive item in these employees' hands ever again. Can I work around the issues? Yes. Should these issues even exist? No. And that is my problem with the store. The only reason I'm even bothering to write this review now is because shortly after getting home, the top half of my screen began popping out of the frame. When I pushed the screen back in, it was fine, but a few days later, when my boyfriend did the same, the screen AND tempered glass cover split and shards fell out of my screen. Now I have to be wary anytime I talk into my phone because I've already cut myself more than once. Shoddy work. read more

My husband and I have been to this store on several occasions. I noticed a "tip" on the Yelp mobile website about a young man named Alex, and I was pleasantly surprised that on our visit last weekend, he was the one to help us. He was defiantly a breath of fresh air. He was genuine, treated my husband and me like people; not just the "next person in line". I didn't get the feeling he was just going through the motions. He got us what we needed quickly, double checked with a coworker who had been employed there longer, Ryan (who was also a very helpful young man) to make absolutely sure we left with the right product. I'm giving this place 5 stars... ALTHOUGH all previous visits I would have to compare the customer service to the old "aggressive car salesman routine" - on you before you can get both feet through the door. I would like to thank Jean for the tip she left about Alex, I'd like to add a recommendation for Ryan as well for his willingness to help, and his knowledge of their products. I don't think this company even deserves 1 star. They had my phone for 4 hours today after repeatedly telling me 20 more minutes. Long story short, I took my phone home with the cracked screen. I don't think the guys behind the counter know how to replace cracked screens or proximity sensors so they just stalled all day until I got upset then they refused to fix it at all and said he was taking the new screen off and putting the old one back on. Funny thing is I picked up my phone 15 minutes after getting off the phone with them so why does it take 3 hours to put on the new screen but only 15 minutes to remove it and put the broken one back on???? I will tell everyone I know about this place and the crappy service they provide and I will be calling the corporate office and reporting both of them. Today I am writing my first negative review. I went to Batteries Plus to have the screen repaired on my iPhone. I had a coupon for $15.00 off repair of broken screen., the staff was courteous and took my phone, quoted me a price of $99 before coupon and that the phone would be ready in 1 hour. Returned to store an hour later and phone repairs had been made. They offered a screen protector for an additional $10 which I agreed to purchase. When the clerk rang me up the repair bill was $129.99 not the 99.00 quoted, he then added the $10 for the screen and deducted my coupon. Bill was $30 more than quoted. When I questioned him he said he had misquoted me and apologized for error. I am thinking he is going to adjust bill, no he stands there waiting for form of payment. When I asked what could be done regarding the huge discrepancy between what was quoted and actual costs the clerk offered to remove the screen if I had 45 minutes to wait and I could get it repaired elsewhere. Felt like I was taken advantage of. Not a happy camper! Bottom line, nice store, good service, but get in writing any quote for service or you might be in for a big surprise like I was. read more
