Popped by this place on a stroll around the orange circle. We just wanted a quick snack and the vegan dumplings and Cucumber salad didn't disappoint. The Cucumber salad was to die for! Super light and refreshing with a lot of flavor, yet not to overwhelming. There's something different about this Cucumber salad that I can't quite put my finger on but it's so so good. The dumplings were also super good, hot and fresh. Will be back 1000 times for the salad though!

Crab and shrimp shumai and steamed shrimp dumpling

I went here for dinner and ordered shrimp dumplings, shrimp and crab shu mai, a Thai iced tea, and two mango mochi. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. They initially did not bring out the mango mochi at all, so I had to ask for them. The owner brought only one, and I had to explain that I ordered two. Then the cashier came over holding the mochi in his bare hand and placed it directly onto my Styrofoam container. This was extremely unsanitary, and I had to complain about it. As for the food, it was very underwhelming. The only sauces available were soy sauce and sriracha. The steamed shrimp dumplings were bland and completely flavorless. The crab and shrimp shumai was wet, had no flavor, and honestly tasted like nothing at all. Overall, the quality of the food and the level of customer service were very poor. Considering the price, this place is a rip-off and absolutely not worth the cost. I left very disappointed and would not recommend dining here.

A cute little dumpling place in a fun part of town? Yum! I had the spicy wontons here, admittedly close to when they were preparing to close. Still, my order was hot and delicious - and definitely hit the spot for me. The interior is small and the tables are a bit worn in, but that shouldn't scare you away. Seems like a good place for a quick lunch or a grab-and-go snack. My order only took about 8-10 minutes, not long at all. There were plenty of other folks waiting on soups and dumplings and boba milk tea, and they all seemed to get their orders in a reasonable amount of time, too. Prices are fair - dumplings aren't the cheapest when they're done right - and portions are reasonable. I will be back for the juicy XLB dumplings and black garlic fried noodles very soon!

I've come across this area a few times and finally tried it. I went on a random weekday so parking was available in the front. I decided to try their vegan dumplings and a taro milk tea. The taro milk tea was pretty good, but it did have a salty and sweet taste. As for the vegan dumplings, they were different tasting. Not bad, but not usual. There were edaname inside of them and some type of vegan paste. The dipping sauces weren't so great. Oil inside Sriracha-like hot sauce was odd. I was hoping for more of an authentic chili sauce. Overall I would give it a 3. There isn't much else I would taste so this might be just a single time try for me.

Small spot for a quick eat and go. Soup-in-dumpling is rich and flavorful, pork dumpling with mango habanero is crispy + addictive, and the fresh shrimp dumpling is a winner.

Cute little spot, parking isnt the greatest but worth it for the food and the flavor at this spot been a few times. Service is good place is clean.

Juicy XLB Dumplings (10 pcs) - all broken before they were even touched!

I'd say the price point between Din Tai Fung and this place are pretty similar, but given the choice, I'd go to DTF. My parents and I ordered the XLB, black garlic noodles, and fried rice. The XLB were are broken and torn apart before we even got them, so we weren't even able to enjoy the juicy broth - the most important part of the XLB. The dumpling skin was super thick and doughy, which makes me wonder how the dumplings managed to tear and allow the broth to escape. The black garlic noodles weren't too exciting. The flavor was mostly garlic, of course. The fried rice was also pretty average. Not much to write home about.

The restaurant is small but also has two tables for outdoor seating. My party ordered the boiled beef dumplings, the black garlic beef noodle, and the yuzu tea. The black garlic beef noodles were okay. It's not something I would try again as the garlic was a little too much for my liking. The boiled beef dumplings didn't taste that much different than the ones I could buy at a grocery store. Still tasted pretty good, though. The yuzu tea was great! I'd try that again. Service was good, had minimal interaction with the server. That being said, it's not an awful place to try out. It's a place I'd be willing to order something different in.

My partner has been wanting to go to this spot since last year and we finally made it. The guy who was at the cash register greeted us as we walked inside and took our order as well. He was friendly and patient since we(mainly my partner) were looking at their menu items. We ordered their "handmade" pork dumplings and their chicken fried rice. Their "handmade" pork dumplings tasted like they were reheated food not handmade. My partner tried the sauces to if it would make them taste edible enough to eat but sadly that was not the case. It was so disappointing since my partner was planning on buying dumplings to go. 1/5 Rating for their "handmade" pork dumping. The fried rice was 2.8/5 due to its lack of seasoning and flavor. The interior was bright with all their beautiful parrot chandeliers and the rest of the lighting. It's a very spacious area, especially great for big parties. Overall, our experience with the food we had was not the best. I guess we had high expectations, especially my partner due to the high ratings on Yelp and Google. However, the customer service from the guy who greeted us and took our orders was superb. Hence, the total of three stars and not one or two. Who knows if we may ever go back to give them another try but hope you all have a better experience with the food.

You really HAVE to try this hidden gem of a place! We tried the Pan Fried Chicken Dumplings, of course, and they were very tasty! The Spicy Wonton Soup was flavorful, the Black Garlic Fried Noodles with chicken was unique and tasty, in addition to the yummy Vegan Dumplings. What I loved about this place is that the food was very fresh and healthy, yet still incredibly tasty and creative. You can tell the owners really put their heart and soul into this place. And definitely save room for dessert! Specifically The BROWN SUGAR PANCAKE! Wow! It was the highlight of our dinner and the best ending to it! The owner, Jieun,and her lovely husband, Teyung, were the sweetest, most gracious people and treated us to this absolutely scrumptious dessert and we couldn't get enough of it! Also college students get a 10% discount-so that made my daughter very happy and excited to return!

First time trying the food it was good but not great . The rice & noodles lacked some flavor needs more seasoning , also wish they had more side sauces to dip my food in . Portion sizes are good , but I would recommend they go down on the prices , it came to 60 something not including tip . Overall not bad , cashier was friendly as well .

Amazing place! It's around Orange circle near a ramen place. I came here craving spicy dumplings, and I end d up also getting a drink and the pork egg rolls. Delicious is the best way to describe it. I got the spice medium and it's spicy enough for me, and I love spicy food. Service was amazing, the person at the front register explained all the items and what substitutions could and couldn't be made, and the entire time she did it with a smile. The place has a cool homely vibe, everyone was able to sit and enjoy their meal and talk. Spaced out so you can have privacy and still speak normally. Great price as well!

How adorable is this spot. The moment you walk in you here the little chime go off. You are greeted the moment you walk in. Which is superb.The staff is very friendly really great customer service their menus is simple and the aroma just fills the air. The restaurant itself is adorable with the interior design and their little parrots hanging above you. Very unique. Found out they have vegan options as well which is great. Next time I'm coming in will definitely will get next time. I ordered the black noodles with chicken and their signature chicken dumplings steamed of course. Just the aroma makes my stomach rumble. Tried this place because we were craving dumplings, and we ordered $50 worth. And was told our food was ready for pickup, when we got there we had to wait another 10 minutes for the guy to give us one bag of dumplings with not a word coming out of his mouth. He just looked at us and handed us the bag, we then told him that this isn't our order for him to say "it was for the other guy in the hoodie" like okay... As for the food, the dumplings were pretty good. The fried rice was bland, and the spicy soup wontons aren't anything to rave about. read more

New business, hope it is just them working out the kinks... ordered kung pao chicken plate and was surprised with what we received. Did not come with rice or any carbs. The kung pao chicken did not seem like any kung pao chicken I've ever had, look at picture for reference. Dumplings were average at best. read more

First time here and the cashier was very helpful with her recommendations! Food was given in generous portions. We ordered the Juicy XLB Dumplings, Spinach Chicken Soup, Beef Pancake Roll, and Jasmin Magic Milk Tea. The dumplings were so good! The broth was excellent and had a good amount of filling. Very satisfying for the amount and price. The soup was great also! The chicken was very flavorful and I loved how the soup itself was filled with spinach and green onion. Adding the chili oil sauce elevated it for sure. The beef pancake rolls surprised me! I would consider this as an entree because it was hefty. Nice thick slices of beef and the pancake was substantial. This place is definitely on our list to return to when we visit Old Town :) read more

We were looking for a new spot and came across o dumpling at the Orange circle. Being a big fan of juicy dumplings, this place didn't impress us. The juices of the dumplings were on the bottom of the paper bowl. Every dumpling had the bottoms pealing off with juices falling out of them. Flavor was good as that helped this rating of the 3 stars. Fried dumplings and fried rice was good. Hard to go wrong with these dishes. read more

Dumplings here are just okay here. The XLB were soggy and not the best that I've had. Sauce was black vinegar with what I assume small pieces of ginger. The spicy chili wontons were okay too--the sauce was very good, slightly sweet, but I wasn't a fan of the wonton filling. Everything here is disposable. You order from the counter and they serve it to you at your table. I'm not sure if would return as the dumplings really are not that great lol read more

I was really looking forward to eating here! The place looks cute and the menu sounds great. I got the chicken kung pao, chicken dumpling, and pork and cabbage dumplings. First off, I couldn't tell which dumpling was which. They were dropped at the table and the server did not tell us anything. I liked one more than the other, but again I couldn't tell you what it was. The kung pao was also disappointing. It looked like grilled chicken and hardly steamed vegetables. I think I even saw cucumbers in there. The taste was okay, but nothing like any kung pao I've had. It was a let down, and we didn't finish our food. O Dumplings Bar from Anaheim Hills led me to try here. I heard that this place is their main branch so I decided to buy foods for our family l Mother's Day dinner, and I was so happy that I did. The foods made our night, all foods were very delicious. Even to-go, after awhile of picking up to home, the foods were still well tasty. We ordered XLB dumplings, cucumbers salads, wonton with spicy sauce and black garlic noodles (with full toppings: cheese, crunchy garlic and seaweed). You can't go wrong with these. I asked for the recommendation, these are their popular ones. Glad that we have one more good option for our family meals. read more

Our second time ordering for pick up here. It was late in the evening, so maybe the food had been sitting too long. But, my daughter and I each ordered the Juicy XLB dumplings. And thankfully my daughter was fine, but I got food poisoning. It was pretty bad. I eat out often and haven't had food poisoning in many, many years. So sorry to have to leave a less than 5-star review. Our first time here was very good. read more

This review is solely for the dumplings! The chicken one was good but I think the xlb juicy ones were best! Very juice and great flavor, comes with a nice sauce to compliment it! Came out pretty quick too! Maybe 15 minutes and they were fairly busy! They have indoor and outdoor seating. Would return! read more

Excellent dumpling joint if you're in or near Orange Circle. It's like Din Tai Fung level good, at a very reasonable price. Tried their pork and cabbage dumplings (nice and doughy), chicken pan fried (crispy even as takeout), and black garlic noodle (udon, yummm). Feelin' full. Might re-eat later. read more

This restaurant has a chill vibe and nice atmosphere Yo just hangout and enjoy some good food. The dumplings weren't really the best but it was pretty good. They didn't have much of a drink selection but the teas there are pretty good. Unfortunately, my buddy and I had ordered the wontons to share and they had shrimp in it. My buddy ate one and had a flare up because he was allergic to shrimp! I saw a lot of there other items on the menu and they had some indication of seafood or shrimp in it but the wontons did NOT. I would think they just had pork but we were mistaken. We now know that traditional wontons have shrimp in it but I wish they had displayed that on the menu. We would at least like to know what has shellfish in it or not. Or even peanut allergies to for that matter. We told the young lady regarding the menu displaying a notice and she said "oh I'm sorry! I'll let the owner know" I hope they can help prevent future allergic reactions 3/5 they had decent food but the unfortunate mishap put a damper on the evening. read more

I was a victim, if I could give this place a zero rating I would girl. I was so excited to try this place, it seemed very trustworthy. I had gone on a date and had ordered some dumplings. They were bland and very cold like girl ? I Bit into it and Literally ice, I almost broke a tooth. I do not wish this experience upon anyone literally traumatizing . Service was great!! Workers were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant is super cute. And the tea was exceptionally wonderful. Food, however, was mediocre at best. I normally don't like writing bad reviews but I figured the 4 out of 5 stars steered me wrong and led me to wasting over $50, so I should try to warn anyone out there considering this restaurant. It's kind of gross. I thought for sure a restaurant with the name "O Dumpling" would have great dumplings, but the dumplings belong in the dump; look at all those pictures in the reviews. The frozen dumplings at Costco are hands down better. The soup was the most pathetic I have ever seen in my life. Please, please don't get the soup. You have been warned. read more

Pleasantly surprising and yummy! Ordered 2 juicy XLBs, 1 chicken pan fried dumplings, cucumber salad (mild), and a black garlic fried noodles with beef. The XLBs were good, but the bottoms got stuck to the paper so they tore so we couldn't get the juicy soup part, but the flavor was good! This was pretty awesome. I ordered vegetable dumplings & tofu garlic noodles. My only suggestion would be fresher vegetables in the noodles, they tasted like they may have started out as frozen. The dumplings were amazing. The service was nice. Perhaps more explanation of the sauces. There was a black substance that looked interesting & I wasn't sure what to do with it. read more

The fish fillet was actually pretty good. All in all, 3.5/5 stars is probably what I would give it. There are definitely better Chinese restaurants if you're willing to drive a little bit out. At least it's nice that this place is conveniently close to where we live.

Homemade yogurt - 4/5 had a slight tartness to it and light sweetness, but was more leaning towards the sweet side of things. I enjoyed it with the dried raisins and the granola for texture and it was a pretty good ending to the entire meal. Coleslaw - 3/5 it tasted average and didn't seem to be anything special. Though it was good to have it along with all the other protein items to lighten up each bite.

She expertly recommended several cocktails, along with a glass of wine, and her knowledge of both the bar program and the menu was impressive. Her recommendations for appetizers and entrées were spot on. We decided on the Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket, BBQ Nachos, and the Spicy Rigatoni. I recently visited O Dumpling Bar and was disappointed with my experience. While the atmosphere was nice and the service was friendly, the food was a major letdown. The soup dumplings were the main event for me and I was excited to try them, but unfortunately they were a complete mess. They were overcooked and the broth inside had leaked out, leaving me with a soggy and underwhelming dish. Overall, I would give the Dumpling Bar a rating of 2/5. Very slow service and the employees are rude. Food is just average. If you order the soup beware it's just basic and they charge you $2 for toppings like veggies. read more
