This place is nostalgia for me - I used to come here when I was younger all the time and to be honest the inside is rather dated and basically looks the same besides the fact they have now covered the windows that allowed you to view into the kitchen. I ordered the loaded potato soup which is a favorite for me - it's a comfort food for sure - it tastes just as good as I remember with chunks of potatoes and bacon. The rolls dipped in the soup are perfect, but the rolls definitely aren't as fluffy as they could be or used to be even when we got some fresh. I also ordered the Salisbury steak which had a good flavor but needed more gravy. The waiter was nice enough - there used to be a gentleman who worked here when I was a kid who was a gem and I was shocked to see he still works there. read more

Service excellent. Waitress was adorable. Clam chowder a little - white & bland(?). Had the crab cakes instead- seriously I know it's Cajun but the red peppers were not bell peppers - they were a little hit (?). Owie! Anyway liked it. The biscuits are kinda sweet although nicely baked and buttered served warm. Good for a chain I've never tried before. Honestly try to support local so this "local" chain was a surprise yet a good thing. Also, the $6 house margaritas were great!! Highly recommend. read more

The food was excellent and affordable. Our server, Sarah, was sweet and exceptional, very attentive. It is a nice family atmosphere.

I'm guessing they no longer let their rolls proof for long. No wait, not really crowded for Saturday lunch. Cleanliness I would give a seven out of 10. read more

O'Charley's Restaurant & Bar - American Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

The food is great and so is the ambience is weird with I guess ancient and modern times in one painting, I don't know but it's confusing but the bar is decent but what stands out is the service and oh my god the people here are very slow! It took us more than 5 or so minutes to get sat down even though we were the only people waiting and it took us longer to get questioned what we wanted to drink, this all happened on a Friday too, don't come here if your on a rush! read more

I am currently here at the o'charleys in Cincinnati Ohio and I ordered a chicken fried steak that looked appealing on the menu but when I was brought out my meal it had about a spoon full of gravy and was the same texture as a cookie. super hard and black do not recommend. read more

I had lunch here on Sunday with my kids and grandson. The food wasn't very good but the service was great. They seemed to be short handed but the service was still awesome. My grandson ordered the Grilled Cheese and Fries and some chocolate milk. My son had the Chicken Tenders and Fries. My daughter had the Southern Honey Chicken. I had the Chicken Sandwich with an upgraded House Salad. We ordered a Fried Pickles appetizer. The fried pickles were good. What you'd expect. My grandson liked the grilled cheese. The rest was just below mediocre. Most of my lettuce was brown on the edges and the smell of bagged lettuce that has started to go off. I did not eat it. All of our chicken was over cooked. read more

A dear friend bought us dinner at O'Charley's restaurant in Cincinnati. He is a frequent customer there; he likes it because he's blind and it's familiar. Our friend is 78, I'm 67, and my wife is a few years younger. I ordered a bottle of wine, and our server INSISTED (very unpleasantly) on seeing all of our I.D.'s. I was the only person in our party who had one along. Getting served took 10 minutes and involved the general manager. We were told this is "Company policy". Very annoying and insulting. Totally unnecessary and ridiculous. We'll be looking for an alternative place to dine, the next time our friend asks us out. I attached a photo of my wife and our friend, so you could judge for yourself if we look underage, but Yelp took it down. Suffice it to say that what hair showed in the photo was gray... read more

We stopped here for dinner trying to find something that would satisfy everyone in our party. O'Charley's was a good choice! My kids enjoyed their meals and we did too. The warm rolls delivered to our table while we waited for our food was excellent! I ordered a $5 margarita special and it was one of the best I have had. I ate the chicken and pineapple bowl and it that was super tasty! I was too hungry and forgot a picture before I dug in. We had an incredible waitress also and that makes all the difference. read more

After many years of visits this location has had many ups and downs. The menu has evolved some additions that are an improvement some items that have left and are missed the prime rib for example. But over all this was a postive visit. The service was good the food was average.. shame for a location that had some much potential. read more

Super gross, unfortunately. Dirt and dust everywhere, pretty disgusting blinds and flooring. Service was so bad and slow. Food was great! Love the California salad with fresh strawberries, blue cheese and pecans. Kids meal was ample and only 99 cents! Hubs burger was mediocre but not horrible. Sadly this location has went downhill! read more

The service here was slow for a weekday lunch pick up. I stood by the waiting area for about 15 minutes for an order that I designated a specific pick up time. Granted I was about an hour late, they kept the meal warm. I tried the salmon bowl and was satisfied with the overall flavor. The bowl was more on the salty side and was overloaded with the roasted red pepper sauce. The salmon piece was large and grilled nicely. I think there was too much feta cheese and not enough of the other vegetables and orzo. read more

So Disappointing! The hubby and I decided to give them a try. I hadn't been there in quite a while and I was hoping that they still had their amazing prime rib. Sadly, no. So I ordered the steak and ribs. The hubby ordered the steak and salmon. I had the salad with blue cheese dressing. I normally love blue cheese but this had a very off putting taste that I couldn't finish. Then our food came out and my steak was not medium rare, but raw! My husband ordered medium and his was med/rare. I couldn't find my server, not because she was hiding but because she was that busy. I got the attention of the manager only because he was right there, I showed him and he took the steak back and had them heat it up. I'm pretty sure it was put in the microwave. It was a little salty. I'm not normally one to send food back. I used to hate it when people did it when I was in food service. Our server was sweet enough to discount the salad and give us a small discount for the problem with my steak, but overall, superior disappointment and we will not go back. read more

ROACH!!!! Started off by waiting outside in the sweltering hot sun with my recently broken legs/feet/ankles till 11:05 with my aunt and then when the hostess final comes out to unlock the doors...we are the first and ONLY guest to arrive and the hostess proceeds to ask if we would like a booth or a table...we chose booth! She then asks WHERE we would like to sit? I really didn't care cause I just needed to sit, as my feet and ankles were beginning to increasingly swell! So she walks us past the bar, up the ramp to a booth seated at the farthest point of the restaurant after having JUST explained to her that I desperately needed to get off my feet! We order the SIMPLEST, most QUICKEST item on the menu (soup/salad/rolls). The waitress brings out the salads first. As we started on our salads, both my aunt and myself could barely get through eating a couple bites before we begin to complain of too much dressing that drenched our Caesar salads...we couldn't even bare the taste! As she brings out our soup to accompany the overly saturated salads...she kindly offered to replace the salads and brought out new ones...good move on part however...as she leaves the table and seats another couple in the booth just behind us, my aunt notices a ROACH scurry across our table and I catch it out of my peripheral vision! After just having surgery consisting of two bone plates, 12 screws, metal twist ties, 48 staples and weeks of therapy...I sprung from my seat utterly REPULSED, as we JUST began to start eating right as this occurred and believe me when I say that I was "HANGRY" by this point but ROACHES of all insects (right up there with spiders) freak me the frick out! I have never in all my 40+ years of dining, never experienced such disgust and disappointment! By no means is it fun to experience a hair in your food (or worse) but a ROACH above all is unacceptable, especially in the dining area and reaches an all time low in my book! My aunt quickly grabbed a napkin and put that disease infested little guy out of commission! That dirty bastard couldn't even go back and tell all of his distrusting lil friends! Obviously, neither one of us could even fathom, finishing our food or continuing forth with our visit and got the hell out of there as quickly as possible! The waitress was extremely remorseful and seemingly appeared to not be surprised when she peered into the napkin and discovered for herself that it was in fact a mashed up roach! Her lack of surprise was concerning in itself, almost as if it were not the first time that has happened but we got the hell out of there STAT, as I began feeling nauseated! I simply let the waitress know in passing, as she was exiting the kitchen from reporting the incident to the kitchen Mgr...that we were not trying to "dine n dash" but I needed to get the hell out of there because that creeped me out and it caused me a great deal of distress, as I have such a fear of insects in general but specifically roaches and spiders! I know they don't cause any harm but they are creepy little bastards and I don't like anything that scurries, especially near my food or where I eat! The waitress was in fact very kind and very understanding of the fact that we needed to exit the building as quickly as possible before my reaction caused an even bigger scene but I honestly consider myself lucky that I have went my whole life without having an experience such as this in all my years of dining! I think I would almost rather see a mouse than a cock roach! I could have even felt with a fly, being that we were so near to the window or a tiny spider or even a pill bug would have been even understandable but a roach is just downright filthy and I totally lost my appetite altogether and I did not even want them to comp a future meal! I wanted the hell out of there and that will be my opinion of O'Charley's for the rest of my life...I do not plan to ever return! I do however, understand that even the finest of restaurants may suffer from these filthy creatures but if they have an infestation of any kind...then it makes me wonder what other kind of problems they have! Bomb the place after hours...set traps, there are powders an chemicals that can help prevent these lil bastards from getting into the dining area but there is no excuse for a roach to EVER run across my dining table when I am playing decent money for a meal at your read more

Ordered from a place called "Underground Chuck" on DoorDash, which turned out to be this O'Charley's. The Bayou Burger I ordered looked quite sad compared to the photo on the website. This place is decent, had takeout once before and ate inside the other day. Our waitress was very pleasant and was very attentive to us which is a HUGE plus in my book. I had the breaded catfish which was very mediocre and kind of mushy and flavorless, not a huge fan. Had the potato soup on the side which was flavorless and thick, really blah but I do recommend the harvest chicken soup, had that when I got takeout and it's delicious. The Mac and cheese is also great, tastes great in my book. The cedar plank salmon is delicious as was the chicken tenders. Two things I recommend getting if you come here, they are known for their chicken tenders so definitely try those out. read more

Food was INCREDIBLY bland. Steak was not cooked to order. Broccoli was edible but unimpressive. And Mac and cheese is an embarrassment, I don't think there was any cheese involved. OCharleys in Rock Hill, SC- curbside order The food was good (family meal of chicken strips, fries, and house salad). This was not a good experience and really hope the restaurant and cooking staff can turn things around. I did not intend to write a review here because I just wanted to enjoy a night with my family; no pictures of food or writing a review. However, after a pretty awful experience, I decided that I needed to post something in hopes that the restaurant will take it as constructive criticism and make some positive changes. First let me say, the one good thing about our experience was our waitress Kala! She kept things positive and was genuinely trying to accommodate my family. If I come back, I will certainly be requesting her again! Outside of this, there were multiple issues. My steak came out well done instead of medium well, both of my daughter's had chicken tenders that smelt like cigarettes smoke and tasted like burnt grease (even though my tenders were fine), my wife's salad had "grilled chicken" on it but came cold instead of hot and tasted like it came out of a can (my wife has ordered this salad before at other locations with it never looking or tasting like this). We waited for almost an hour to get our food, only to send much of it back. By the time my wife got a replacement salad everyone was already done eating. I could hear several other tables around us complaining of food and asking for the manager. I had asked to speak to the manager, but he never showed to talk to me. I also waited a long time for the tab due to the manager needing to make an adjustment on the bill (which at first I was grateful for). However, only $9.46 was taken off a meal for 6. This didn't seem fair when 50% of the food was sent back. Our two kids meals were already free and should not have been included as part of a discount for an accommodation. In the end this was a pretty miserable experience and only the second time I've ever given a 1* review. I hope this place will improve and better produce quality food more consistently. I love O'Charley's, but will go to other locations for now. read more

Sorry Charley! Recently O'Charleys has switched from traditional kitchen equipment to a triple stack conveyor oven...a big pizza oven. My wife and I often frequent here, but that will probably change. My go-to steak is the Louisiana Sirloin. When grilled, with the spices, it's delicious. Run through a pizza oven...not so much. They can't do blackened either. My wife ordered the prime rib, blackened and they simply sprinkled the seasoning on and ran it through the pizza oven. Such a shame. I think this will be a VERY costly decision for them. It will likely be a while before we do pizza oven food...unless it's pizza. Again, Sorry Charley. read more

We were looking for a decent salad and we were very disappointed! Ordered extra dressing for both salads and they both had a small soufflé cup, for a full sized dinner salad. My family, a party of 7, visited this location on 7/29/18 and I am just now getting around to leaving the much needed review. In short, the food was bad, the service was bad, and the management was directly rude to us until the very end when I sought her out and explained how our experience was. The over easy eggs were covered in grease/cooking oil. It was like a bowl of soupy cold eggs. Didn't touch it. Bacon was cold. Ham not edible. It had clearly been sitting under the heating lamp for a while. No one in my family ate much of what they got because theirs looked the same, however our waiter never came by. Drinks literally never refilled. The ONLY redeeming quality was at the very end I went out and sought the manager again and they took 15% off the bill. But that was only after the manager was rude to me and said they were too busy (they had open tables all over the restaurant) and made excuses instead of apologizing for the terrible service and cold food. Regardless of that we would never come back to this location and would not recommend anyone to go during lunch hour (or hours in our case.) read more

I am not one for going to chains but I'll let you in a on a great way to earn 4X fuel points from Kroger and get a delicious family takeout dinner for six. And it really fed six. I bought $50 worth of O'Charleys gift cards to cash on on 4X fuel points at Kroger. It was so hot yesterday so I decided to drive to the restaurant and order a family meal. The staff couldn't be nicer. The young host and hostess were welcoming and the bartender was so friendly. They have frosted mugs for their draft beer. Always a plus. Ordered the grilled chicken breast-nicely seasoned and cooked just right which came with their yummy rolls and butter. My two sides were fresh broccoli cooked perfectly and Mac and cheese which was good. You pick two sauces for the chicken. Can't go wrong with any of them. And I also added loaded potato skins and they were good and came with sour cream on the side. Honestly it was so good. Last time I did the family meal we did the chicken tenders which they are known for. There is a huge selection of family meals all look good. The food was piping how when they gave it to me. We did not have a great experience at this O'Charley's. Our server did show up with rolls very quickly, but getting our drinks took quite some time.
