Meh... We had dinner here recently because our realtor gave us a gift card. My husband had the Ribeye and I had the Flo's Filet. I ordered mine medium rare. It came to the table very well done. I sent it back because it was inedible. After nearly 15 minutes I was finally brought a replacement. It was so rare that it was nearly raw. I told them it was fine. I figured it was better raw/rare than well done. The spice on it made it so spicy that I couldn't finish it. I love spicy food. Very spicy, in fact. But this had so much cayenne dumped on it that I couldn't eat it. We got a box for it but it was tossed. Also - my husband swore that his steak was not a ribeye. He said it was a cheaper cut and thought it a sirloin. My old fashioned cocktail was good - as was my husband's beer. The service was also good. The food, however, was not. Oh, and someone brought her dog to sit on a fluffy pillow to eat at the table nearby. Yup - not a service dog - a pet dog small enough to be carried in and then was sat on a fluffy pillow on the chair at their table. We went to Longhorn steakhouse right before snow began falling because it was one of the times it didn't look very busy. The hostess stand is in a very odd place where most people would think that the stand right when you walk into the door is the stand but it's not, that is the carryout stand. The actual hostess stand is around the corner. Wait time: 10 minutes with no one in front of us. As mentioned above the hostess Stan is around the corner and they aren't always looking to see if anyone is standing there. Atmosphere: western themed steakhouse. Basically the only steakhouse in Eastgate, which leads it to be very busy on a weekend. Service: we had a very nice old lady, she was very attentive while everyone else was focused on the snow. She was focused on her customers. Food: food is always top notch and plentiful. Served hot, love the bread. Price: $$$ Cleanliness: we were seated towards the front so I didn't get the full scope of the restaurant, but the area around us seem to be clean. read more

We love Longhorn as we're regulars in the Columbus area frequently. Not all Longhorns are the same and this location at Eastgate showed the disparity and imbalance. The bar was empty - good sign, right? Got the seats of our choice and our view were dirty bar glasses and plates along the back of the bar in plain sight. When we ordered our drinks, we weren't offered a long pour and was only provided the short one. No bread offered with butter. Food was good and consistent. We did get a second round of drinks at the bartender's ask though is that so the bill gets compounded with more cost? We didn't get offered waters. It was just OK. The dirty dishes in plain sight and need to mention the crumbs all over the bar and dirty dishes upon arrival on the BAR when we checked in around 9 pm on a Thursday was disappointing and concerning. In town for work. Thought I would come in for a good steak dinner. This was a mistake. Apparently, it had snowed here the night before. I guess the manager doesn't care about risk of injury claims because he did a lousy job at ensuring that all the snow and ice was removed from the parking lot and sidewalks. When I entered the restaurant, I stood there alone, there was not line, and nobody greeted me. After standing there for a few minutes, one of the two girls standing off to the side who were talking to each other noticed me and said "can I help you ". As if it wasn't obvious why I was standing there. I told her yes, I'm here for dinner. She walked me to a table right next to the greeters stand in the main hallway where all foot traffic would pass by, dropped the menu on the table, turned and walked away. I guess this is where I was supposed to sit. Shortly thereafter, an older woman, the waitress assigned to that table came up to me, and I advised her that I did not want to sit here because of the high traffic area and asked to be seated elsewhere. She went back to the receptionist and told her I was unhappy with where I had been seated and I wanted to be moved and literally walked off in a huff. The girl who originally seated me, did not come back to reseat me, rather another girl took me to a new table and seated me. After I was seated and my waitress took my order for a $27 steak. I waited for my meal. The wait wasn't long. I ordered the New York strip "no more than medium ". My steak and sweet potato came out rather quickly. I thought I would be happy with this. Unfortunately, I wasn't. I got a piece of meat that was so overcooked, and dried out. It was like eating a piece of sandy cardboard. My meal ended up being a total of $40. Better at Longhorn. The birthday singing and noise at Texas Roadhouse is ANNOYING * Food. The steaks are slightly better at Longhorn BUT you pay more for them. Caesar salad was dry as a bone and we had to request more dressing. Bread (rolls) much better at Texas Roadhouse. Slight edge to all appetizers and sides to Texas Roadhouse. * Price / value. As mentioned Longhorn is more money...about 15% more. BUT slightly better steaks. Hard to beat Texas Roadhouse for every day VALUE....Especially their early bird dining specials. * Final note...the large draft beers at Texas Roadhouse are larger than those at Longhorn. Our party of four had dinner at this Longhorn Steakhouse. The ambiance was nice and the service pleasant and efficient. I ordered their Porterhouse Steak with a baked potato. The potato was good but nothing unusual. The so-called Porterhouse was on the smaller side and more like a T-Bone. It was seasoned nicely and cooked just right, that is, medium-rare. But, the downside was that this steak had a lot of gristle and was not the best cut of meat. Rate the steak and the meal a "B." Not the stuff of legend. Overall dining experience for a major restaurant...about Four Stars. The ambiance and service were fine but you have got to get your steaks up to par when you are a steakhouse. Could stand some improvement. (In my opinion, I believe Texas Roadhouse is superior to both Longhorn and the Outback. Called at 4pm as recommended by staff to get added to call ahead for 10 people, we were told 5:30, when we all arrived by 5:15 we were told they gave our table to someone else by the front staff. We were told we couldn't be sat till possibly 6pm. Then we're given the option to sit in 2 booths behind each other or wait. We took the booths but asked the waitress if we could sit at another table since the corner booth was open, she went to get the manager for us, Jennifer the "manager" proceeded to tell us "we don't do reservations" I again stated "we were on the wait list for 5:30, and your front staff said they gave our table away" she said "well real time we sit people and I don't think 9 will fit at that table, you always have the option to leave" so we left. Definitely would not recommended longhorn eastgate, Jennifer was, (putting it nicely) a bitch! We will not be back. DO BETTER. The ambiance is western horns bull heads,cowboy. Food was good typical steak house. We were there at lunch time and I had the cheese burger with cheddar. We've been going to Longhorns for years and for the last 6 months or more the steak is so tuff its sad and we always take care of our sever or bartender but they have changed their meat for sure no doubt!! And Texas Roadhouse is better that's not how it used to so no more Longhorn I guess it will be Texas Roadhouse from now on ! Or until we find a better steak house. read more

The food here is typical Longhorn food. It's good just not wowing. We started with the spicy shrimp and chicken bite appetizers. The shrimp appetizer was served with cherry peppers, pepperocini peppers, and some jalapeño slices. It wasn't over spicy and was served with ranch dipping sauce. The shrimp appetizer was massive, I decided I didn't even need an entree, just decided to get a side to go with it! The chicken bites had a sweet Thai chili sauce that we got on the side. Good thing, it did not have a good flavor but the chicken bites were delicious! My kids got cheeseburger kids meals. They loved the fries and only had a few bits of the burgers. They are huge! At least 3/4 to 1 inch thick. Decent flavor. My husband had the loaded potato soup and a sirloin with broccoli and peppers and onions. We thought it was supposed to be served with a salad and a side. The waitress asked if he wanted onions and mushrooms. On his steak, he agreed but didn't know it would cost extra. We didn't get the salad, only broccoli for the side and we were charged for the onions and mushrooms. They didn't look good, the mushrooms appeared to not be very fresh. We were exhausted and decided to eat what was brought so we could get back to the hotel. But if we weren't going to get the salad, we shouldn't have been charged for the onions and mushrooms. Not cool at all. My soda was also flat, I don't know if it was made at the bar but it didn't have any carbonation. The kids enjoyed their strawberry lemonade though. Had lunch on 8/2/20. Place was about a third filled. Greeter tried to seat us at a table between 2 other tables both within 6 ft of each other. Not a good idea. We reseated our selves as there were lots of open tables. Mgr. was seen rearranging tables with his nose uncovered. Our server was great and the rib eyes were exceptional. I went to Longhorn for lunch, since I was given a Dardon giftcard for an xmas gift. My husband and I shared the Tonion Appetizer, which was a bit on the salty side, for my taste, but your typical fried onion petals served with horseradish sauce. Surprisingly, I was very impressed by the flavor of my BBQ brisket sandwhich. I also enjoyed the fact that I was able to get a side salad with no extra charge, instead of french fries. I would suggest that lunch patrons pay a few extra dollars to get the full priced sandwhich and side, as the half sandwich and side/soup combos are not really worth the price. Our server, Bianca, was both friendly and attentive. Even though some chain restaurants leave little to be desired, I would definitely go back to this location for a quick, flavorful lunch. read more

Longhorn's in East Gate is popular in spite of itself. After an hour's wait in a crowded hallway we found that they had dropped our name from the list. They don't take reservations, but it appeared that people were calling ahead and getting onto the waiting list before they even arrived. Instead of the bottle we ordered the waiter brought the "featured" wine. We went along, rather than delay even longer (we'd been there well over an hour and were eager for some food), but the wine was mediocre and $4 more that the bottle we'd ordered. Longhorn has decent food (the steaks were very good) but they are a victim of their own success. There were no towels in the restroom. Our party of three was jammed into a tiny booth with waiting diners breathing down our necks as we ate. We'll be looking for a quieter, less crowded dinner venue. read more
