    Hand-Breaded Catfish Dinner
    Romeka B.

Highly, highly upset!!! This is "what I saw vs. what I got!" OMG! So I ordered uber eats last night- wanted catfish and I have had O'Charley's catfish before. This is what I got. Nothing in their description says "catfish strip dinner" NOTHING!! I was furious last night! Will not order again from Austell Rd location. #nostarsreally #horribletaste #stripsnotfillets. The mac n cheese was not good, just dry!

I haven't been here in a while so I decided to go. It was a Monday and they had happy hour specials and daily specials which included $3 Margaritas $5 chicken tender nachos and $4 queso and chips It wasn't busy so I decided to sit at the bar, but the hostess said it was a 20 minute wait. I gave her my name and said OK. Mind you, I agreed to sit at the bar because it was not busy and there weren't a lot of people there. I waited a few minutes then I proceeded to ask her why was there a wait just to be seated at the bar. She then responds saying, she really didn't know but the bartender who's name is Zay told her not to seat us yet until the group of women pay and leave. I waited another 10 minutes as I'm looking confused as to why we had to wait for them to get up and leave. Another server then walked by and told the host to seat us and not to listen to the bartender because it was wrong and he had no authority to tell her that. By this time, I'm already saying strike two. It took him forever to come and take our order! I ended up ordering the Margarita special that was supposed to be $3 but was charged $5 I also ordered the chicken tender nachos and queso and chips. My friend ordered the steak with asparagus and macaroni. He said it was just ok. We had to wait extremely long for the food to come out. He finally brought our bread and butter right before the food came. (It wasn't all that either) I felt like he really needed some assistance and should have asked. I wasn't too pleased with the nachos, the drink was ok and he never brought out the queso dip. Overall, I was very disappointed. When he brought the checks over, I instantly saw that I was charged full price for the nachos. After bringing it to his attention, he made the corrections. The bar area was a hot mess. VERY NASTY!!! It definitely needed some TLC.

Curbside to go order honey chicken broccoli and sweet potato mashed

Came here is a part of a to go gift card order Or did the fried chicken with honey broccoli and mashed sweet potato ( which I did not care for). So I called back up and traded it for the macaroni and cheese which was much better. For $10 it was OK.Food was warm tasty not overly exciting.

This location is honestly a hit or miss. I've been coming for many years mainly out to convenience. The last few visits the service hasn't been the greatest, the food wasn't hot and our server took an extremely long time during service. I'm not sure did I'll be back at this specific location however I still love the food at O'Charley's

Sirloin steak, macaroni and cheese, and mashed sweet potatoes

Ate here recently for my daughter's birthday and everything was wonderful as usual. We typically visit O'Charleys one or two times a month. Sometimes we even have birthday dinners here in my family and they are excellent about accommodating huge parties. I normally order the New Orleans Cajun chicken pasta but on this visit I ordered the 6oz Sirloin steak with sweet mashed potatoes and macaroni. I didn't really like the macaroni , but our waitress switched them out for me with no issues. My husband had the pasta this time, and it was delicious as usual. And ohhhhhh, the rolls and my homemade strawberry lemonade were delicious too. My daughter received a free dessert for her birthday as well. If you've never ate here, I would definitely try it out. Great American food at reasonable prices, and rolls served while you wait!!

From the time we walked in to when we left it was horrible. The host was not at her station to greet us and when she finally came over she was rude. Our server was trying her best but it took 20 min for us to get bread and we had to ask her for it or we would have never gotten any. Then we ordered our apps that took 25 min to come out. When she came to our table with them she was already apologizing about the potato skins saying she asked the cook to take this back because it's burnt, but he told me "that's how they all supposed to look" Then me and my husband ordered our food. He got the steak and salmon with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. I got southern chicken strips with brown gravy mash potatoes and broccoli. His salmon was dry and hard on the bottom the Mac and cheese was microwaved and dry, no cheese or sauce just noodles clumped together. AND the plate was hotter than the food. Everything was flat warm almost room temp. My chicken tenders were way over fried hard and dry my gravy was coagulated and just like my husbands dish the plate was hotter than the food. My mashed potatoes were almost cold. It took our food 45 minutes to get to our table and there were only 6 other people seated and 4 people at the bar. While we were waiting the 45 min for our food I was watching the pick up order costumers getting mad because they were not being acknowledged and some were given the wrong food. I saw 1 woman showing the kitchen manager her to go food after she received it and telling him it was unacceptable. She handed it to him and he said "well I don't want it" and she replied "well I don't want it either" he should have taken the food and thrown it away. His manager skills are atrocious. Meanwhile my husband can see behind me the front door and people are waiting 20 min for the host to come over to seat them. One couple even walked in trying to find some service after waiting 15 min at the door and sat at the bar. The couple behind them waited another 10 min when the host FINALLY came over and sat them. Everyone around us were growing more and more impatient and getting upset. The tension was thick in there. My husband and I go to this restaurant regularly and this was the worst experience we have had. We tip our server $20 because she was really trying her best the cooks and kitchen management were the ones at fault. We asked her if they were short handed she said no so we asked if D was there (we know her, she's a manager) she said no she's not here it's Floyd back there. So Floyd if you are reading this I hope you enjoyed your Papa John's pizza I saw you trade food for at 8:45 more than the food you served me and my husband. We should have ordered Papa John's too.

Always good food. Very safe environment for COVID precautions. Manager is always friendly and makes sure that your experience is good. Danielle F. was our server today, and she was excellent. She anticipated our needs, was friendly without being overbearing. Our drinks were always full and everything was done with a smile. Even with her mask, she smiled with her eyes. I am recovering from a hip replacement surgery, so I am limited to where I can go. I'm glad we chose O'Charley's today.

Cedar plank salmon w/loaded baked potato and broccoli
    Alyssa W.

Out to dinner with my boyfriend. Scrolling through yelp and stumbled across this place. I was a little skeptical because it only had 3 stars. But decided to try it anyway. There was no wait and we were sat in the bar area. Our waitress Rebecca was nice by seemed a lil over whelmed. The food is actually pretty good... although my boyfriend didn't like the Mac n cheese. It was bland and not cheesy enough. We both ordered salmon. I got the cedar plank with loaded baked potatoes and broccoli. When I asked what all came on the potato,he mentioned cheese sour cream chives and bacon (sounds about right) I asked if it was bacon bits or real and he told me bacon bits smh! Why serve the cheap imitation if you have the real deal. I ended up declining on bacon all together. We also ordered cocktails. I got the island margarita!! It's sooo good. My salmon came out seasoned well and juicy. Cooked to about a medium-well temp. Overall everything was fine but nothing was over the top or stood out. I would come back but it may not be my first choice.

First of all the owner/manager Kevin is a great guy! Very friendly, very professional and very efficient. We decided to order a slaw dog for my friend, and chili burger for me and some fries to share. Man I gotta tell you my chili burger with mustard and onions was fantastic! It's a 1/4lb merger patty that's cooked to perfection, nice and juicy, and the chili topping was delicious! My friends slaw dog was perfect she said and the dog was good quality and the slaw was a great addition to the dog. I'll have to try the chili-slaw dog next time. Another great surprise were the French fries; they were cooked to a crunchy perfection and although they may have been frozen they were real potato fries, large and fried to the exact perfection! They also have BBQ, shrimp, ice creams, cookies, all kinds of stuff! I never expected to find such a great little cafe right on the Silver Comet Trail. Kevin says they've been there 7 years so apparently they're there to stay. I'm glad to know about this place this will be my new stop along the trail when I'm riding. We decided to stop by for lunch and we were the only customers there. The restaurant seems to have taken on some Caribbean flair, with a photo area adorned with fake flowers, a bar that was barely stocked, a DJ area without a real dance floor and ViP area that if you have a mobile disability you probably won't be able to get to. The manager on duty was Cassandra and she was very nice and the music playing was very tropical. The ambiance was nice, then we were given the menus. The word Havana implies that it would have traditional Cuban foods, not sure if they consulted a Cuban or even competent Caribbean chef. Perhaps the drinks are good but I will the food left much to be desired. My husband ordered the nachos and the chips were store bought and extremely salty, combine with the canned cheese and the unseasoned meat it was not very good at all. In fact my husband took three bites and he couldn't eat anymore. It was beyond salty and inedible. My daughter ordered the empanadas. On the menu pictured it says empanadas, hence leading one to believe that it would be more than one. However, the empanadas meant one and somehow or another, you the customer are left to figure this out when one empanada arrives on a bed of Lettuce. She also ordered the steak tostones cups which were overpowered with the guacamole. My daughter loves guacamole but the ratio guacamole to steak was too much and the two half strips of steak were not enough to balance out the flavor. I had the hibachi, the steak arrived so badly burnt that it curled up and the charred pieces of steak were inedible. The vegetables surrounding the little bowl of burnt rice were ok so I happily ate that. My husband who never complains asked our very sweet waitress if she could get the manager. After he went through the issues with the food, she was extremely open to the issues and explained they are in the process of tweaking some things. I expressed I would happily pay for the veggies that I ate and the empanada that my daughter ate and the tostones as she ate two of the three sharing the second. The manager then took our full plates away. We were a little taken aback to get the bill of 50% off when we hadn't taken three full bites of the inedible food. I wish this business success however, maybe the chef is new as well. We will not be returning to eat, perhaps the drinks are good because the ambiance seems nice and the music was amazing.

Interior / Exterior They're located in Powder Springs on that street I call 'restaurant row' right before you get to downtown Powder Springs proper. They're in the space formerly occupied by Los Portales Mexican Restaurant, and more recently SAC Burger. The interior space open and clean, but very dark (appropriate for a lounge - lol). The parking lot is big, but it's a bit tight. Customer Service The server / bartender was SOOO friendly. I love that she welcomed me the moment I crossed the threshold and thanked me for coming in. She hit me with a big, beautiful smile during her welcome and she was pleasant and upbeat during our entire interaction. Note to all bar and lounge owners: Beautiful bartenders area easy to find. But beautiful bartenders who are pleasant and engaging (versus the ones who act irritated and snarky with guests) should be cherished. They can make or break your business. Lol. I also loved that she knew the menu and was able to answer all my questions and provide recommendations. I checked my receipt later and it says her name was Michaela. Price Value I thought the prices were fair. Everything is so expensive nowadays, but these guys had some burger combos for $12 and under. Food I decided to play it safe and ordered the chicken sandwich. They didn't have a grilled chicken option, so I went with the fried, non-spicy filet. It comes with fries. I deliberately didn't take a photo because they do that 'new' thing where they put the lettuce and tomato BELOW the protein, which traps the heat, so by the time I got home with my food, my lettuce and tomato looked pretty sad. Note to all kitchens - when you put hot meat on top of any produce, it pretty much cooks the produce. Produce is best just placed off to the side. And if it's a sandwich with hot melted cheese, put the top bun and the produce to the side. I did not want to do them a disservice by posting a photo like that (limp, droopy wilted lettuce and mushy hot tomatoes). The chicken filet on my sandwich was tasty. It was seasoned well, pounded thin and hand-breaded. I tried a few of my fries before I left and they were very greasy, as though they were dropped before the oil reached the correct temperature. The fries are not plain, they're slightly battered, so I wasn't to heart-broken because I don't really dig battered fries anyway. They have a pretty diverse menu. The website doesn't show the full menu. I didn't have my phone with me, so I wasn't able to snap a photo of the menu. Also - they don't have take-away menus. They use eco-friendly, sani-friendly QRC's instead. The server explained that it's a Cuban American fusion vibe. They have sandwiches, burgers (including a Salmon burger and the Impossible burger), but they also have wings, tostones, panins, nachos, tacos, hibachi bowls and pasta. They even have soup! I checked out their website and I will DEFINITELY go back to try the hibachi bowl and a margarita. I like the fact that they have options like garden burgers and sides like steamed broccoli. Other Right now, they're only open Thu - Sun from 11am to midnight. Kitchen closes at 11pm. And they're open until 2am on Fri and Sat. Kitchen closes at 1am. They are a no smoking facility. Yay. And they will have karaoke in upcoming months. Definitely think everyone should check them out.

Chairs and tables are jammed pretty close together but I don't think this is a a problem because I think most of the business is carryout / takeaway. There were no other customers present on the day I ventured in. Customer Service The woman who took my order and prepared the food was seated in the dining area reading something on her phone, with her head resting on the table when I arrived. She seemed friendly, but tired. And there was a bit of a language barrier issue when I was asking questions about the menu. Price / Value Prices are on par with what you'd expect. Food They have a pretty diverse menu. In addition to wings, tenders and burgers - they have cheesesteaks, reubens, french dips, club sandwiches, nachos and ramen. They also have some unexpected dinner options - spaghetti & meatballs, baked tilapia, fried shrimp and teriyaki chicken. It's not listed on the menu - but they also have ice cream and milk shakes (see photo). I wanted a burger, but they only had American cheese and I'm not a wing fan, so I opted for the chicken tenders. They are not hand-breaded tenders, they're the flash-frozen kind you'd find in a cafeteria or a grocery store. I was so happy to see crinkle cut french fries, but about 80% of my fries were over-cooked to the point of being crunchy like potato chips (yet, somehow they weren't burnt. It was almost like they'd been dropped twice.) And they were completely unsalted. See photos. Overall This is definitely a Yelp 2-star, meh - I've experienced better' but I'm bumping them up a star because they're a small business and a new business and I don't like dishing out anything less than 3 stars under these circumstances. Since this is one of those meals that I can make quicker and cheaper at home (frozen tenders and frozen fries) - and not much else on the menu appealed to me, I doubt that I'll be back any time soon. I would've marked them on my list as a place to swing by for french fries on my cheat day - but since they botched the execution on those, it's still gonna have to be Zaxby's. Lol. When J ventures on for wings, I'll be sure to update my review. I wish them much success.

When we pulled up we notice a guy and two ladies and a baby outside with a horse, the guy was previously riding the horse near our neighborhood earlier that day. So I went in and ordered the special .... Wings & Fries $6 ......seated myself in the warm dining area( no AC, just a bunch of fans) then I notice that the guy with the horse walk in and begin putting drinks in the cooler (I thought, maybe he is associated with the place somehow), after stocking the cooler he proceeded thru the doors and into the cooking area, my son and I watched as he washed his hands and grabbed a plate of food while leaning his dirty horse riding body against the cooking table, he begin eating food right there in the cooking area. All I could think of was the horse he just got off of...... He should not have been anywhere near any food back there. At this point I wanted to leave but, I just wasn't brave enough that day, my food was still cooking.....my son laughed because he knew that I would pay the money & toss the food. However, once my food was done.... The cook/owner didn't have a way to accept my debit card so I wasn't charged. My son whom had just eaten(greedy azz) at a birthday party just before we arrived decided he was not going to let the food go to waste. He said the wings were small but really good and the fries were cooked just right. I must admit, the food looked great. The cook/owner was very pleasant and the people that came in seem to know and respect him. They still have a lot of work to do to get this place operating.... No Air conditioning, cash only, and allowing anyone in the cooking area were just a few things I noticed. Personally I wont be back, but I wish them the best of luck. Before that, they operated out of a food truck, a few days a week, on Austell-Powder Springs Road. We wanted to eat bbq during the Superbowl, and decided to get a rib tip platter from Whistlin Pig. Although the sign outside of the restaurant says that they take credit/debit cards, they actually don't. That is why they lost a star. Get into the 21st century people! You gotta start taking the plastic! The rib tips were delicious! Some of them were a little tough, but most of them were so tender, they were literally falling off the bone! The bbq sauce was sweet, and a little spicy without being too spicy. The meat itself was well seasoned. All in all, a pretty good place to get rib tips!
