Old Wings!!!

Old wings wrapped in the paper to look like it's good. I get it home and take a closer look and see how old the chicken really is!!!

Burger combo with fries (this is after shook seasoned salt all over the fries)

Exterior Located in the Publix plaza on Richard B Sailors. Even though the doors face Richard B Sailors, all these businesses in Plaza have a New Macland address. Interior / Cleanliness Bright & well lit. It's got those tall ceilings that make for some strange acoustics. It does not take much to get loud in there. Odd floorplan, there's a HUGE waiting area - it's nearly the same size as the dining room, but since it's right at the entrance, you will freeze if you sit there. Pretty much everyone waiting for food opted to sit in the dining room. That's how I noticed that all the tables (& some of the chairs) were dirt (grease smears & napkins on the floor). The black cashier with the long wig did come over & wipe down 2 tables while I was there. One thing I hope they change if they stick around is this - my cashier put my receipt in my cup. She had just taken 2 dollar bills from me. Money is pretty filthy. Then she took that same hand & put it in my cup. Then I had to take my 'dirty' hands (I'd handled my steering wheel, my car door handle, the handle to their entrance door, my cash, my credit card) & stick into the cup to get it out. Now I'm supposed to feel comfortable filling that cup with a beverage. I know some people think whatever - germs are everywhere, & that's true - but it's just not hygienic. Food They sell wings, burgers, philly cheesesteaks, fried fish & fried rice. They also have a dessert case with cake slices. I was super excited to see crinkle cut fries on the menu. Yay. Lol. I asked about the difference between the fried chicken sandwich versus the fried chicken burger. The cashier (white with brunette hair) said she didn't know. Another cashier said the sandwich comes on a longer piece of bread & she THOUGHT the toppings were different. Neither made any attempt to find out - lol - so I asked if they had a choice of cheeses for the burger, namely cheddar. Cashier once again said she didn't know & this time the cashier (black with wig) said she knew they had it. I requested no pickles, no onions, extra tomato). It comes dressed with shredded iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, mustard, ketchup & mayo. I asked about the fish, but thought it was a bit pricey for this type of joint ($4.50 to add-on one piece of whiting, catfish or tilapia). Fries come unseasoned with communal seasoning shakers at the register. I've seen several people complain online about this. A lot of spots do this, but for some reason, I couldn't get my salt to stick to my fries here. My fries looked beautiful, but any attempt to season them just caused the season salt to slip right off of them on to the Styrofoam below (photo was taken AFTER 4 very liberal shakes of salt). The burger patty was thin & wide (like a Whopper patty) but bland, poorly seasoned. Unfortunately, they gave me American cheese, not cheddar & even though I attempted to eat my food - my stomach let me know, within less than 30 minutes, that I'd eaten American cheese. And my stomach was not a happy camper. My combo also came with a drink & even though I asked if they had tea. I had no idea that 1) it was that awful doggone fountain tea & 2) since it's fountain tea, there's no unsweetened tea. And on the rare occasion I drink tea nowadays, I find I have to mix half sweet with half unsweet, otherwise its like drinking a glass of cane syrup. I wound up with a Sprite & before this, I haven't had a Sprite in about 12 years. Price / Value I thought the burger combo was priced fairly. Customer Service / Friendliness Here's why I won't be back & can't recommend. My food took roughly 22 minutes to prepare. While I was waiting, I had PLENTY of time to observe staff / customer interaction. After sitting for a few minutes, I approached the owner / manager (Asian lady with ballcap). I stuck my cup out & said, 'Sorry I dropped this, can I get another one please?' She frowned, pursed her lips & slapped a new cup down on the counter. (She was also snappy & irritated when I asked about the tea - when I didn't realize it was fountain tea.) There were 4 people behind the counter & though there were a good number of folks coming in picking up food, there were no sit down customers & the place was not so busy that she should be annoyed / frustrated or harried by such a simple request. At first I thought she just had a bad attitude - but here's where it gets bad: As I continued to wait ... and watched - I noticed that she smiled & greeted every white customer. For all the black customers, no smile - no pleasantries - and MOST of us got a scowl or frown. So for that reason alone, I'll never be a return customer. If she was just bad employee, I'd say 'one bad apple doesn't spoil the whole bunch.' But I don't make a habit of lining the coffers of someone who actively treats customers differently based on the color of their skin. Overall Overall - can't recommend because the owner / manager seems as though she has an issue with 'certain' customers.

Lastly, the place is huge for a wing spot and has always been clean when I've gone in.

Linear Park Cafe - Awesome fries!

My friend and I came in here last week while on a bike ride on the Silver Comet Trail…read more We noticed this little cafe and ice cream shop while riding and we decided to stop and see what they had to eat, and we're glad we did. First of all the owner/manager Kevin is a great guy! Very friendly, very professional and very efficient. We decided to order a slaw dog for my friend, and chili burger for me and some fries to share. Man I gotta tell you my chili burger with mustard and onions was fantastic! It's a 1/4lb merger patty that's cooked to perfection, nice and juicy, and the chili topping was delicious! My friends slaw dog was perfect she said and the dog was good quality and the slaw was a great addition to the dog. I'll have to try the chili-slaw dog next time. Another great surprise were the French fries; they were cooked to a crunchy perfection and although they may have been frozen they were real potato fries, large and fried to the exact perfection! They also have BBQ, shrimp, ice creams, cookies, all kinds of stuff! I never expected to find such a great little cafe right on the Silver Comet Trail. Kevin says they've been there 7 years so apparently they're there to stay. I'm glad to know about this place this will be my new stop along the trail when I'm riding. Thanks Kevin for feeding a couple hungry bikers!

After and during our long bike rides on the Silver Comet Trail, this is the perfect spot to grab a snack or drink. We've tried the chili and the slaw dogs which are Nathan's 100% beef. Very tasty and hot. The menu also boasts chicken tenders, nachos, hamburgers and street tacos. See photos for current menu offerings. You can also get ice cream, sno-cones, 100% fruit smoothies and other sweets. When you bring your kiddos to the park- this is a must visit. The big kid in you will love it too!

He looked and dryly said no. Then I asked if the burger was a hamburger or a cheeseburger. Again dryly he said it cost extra for cheese. I should have just left then but I wanted to patronize a local small business. I figured a grilled hamburger would be pretty good. So I ordered and he said he would bring it to me it would take 5 mins. I was the only person there. So he brought my food and I opened it up there and the disappointment on my face. The bread was hard. Toasted for to long. And the burger was just a frozen patty that had been put on the grill. I was hoping it would be a homemade fresh ground beef burger put on the grill but as you can see my the pictures that was not the case. Super dry. Overall not happy. Not worth the $5!

We ordered 4 hotdogs: two with ketchup and mustard (3/5) and two with slaw (4/5). My husband also decided to get a 1/2 slab of ribs (3/5). I never put ketchup on my hotdog so don't ask me why I did it this time SMH. The server, who we assumed was the owner, was courteous and about the business of delivering orders in a timely manner. There was a steady flow of customer traffic. The prices were affordable. We sat in our truck and ate. We could've also eaten on the dining tables on the lot.

Upon entering the store, I was disappointed that you can't see the food. It's not like a cafeteria with the food warming up front. Decided on the baked chicken plate that comes with rice and two sides. Added a drink - the mango lemonade. All for about $18 plus tax. They only have banana pudding for dessert. Was looking forward to peach cobbler or cakes even. Service counter was pleasant and worked quickly as more customers arrived. The restaurant is a takeout but they have a grass wall for photo opportunities on the Gram. The food: The chicken quarter was seasoned well and tasty. The rice was a bit under cooked and tough. The green beans were done with lots of garlic and sautéed. I liked it but I could see how my son didn't. The macaroni and cheese was underwhelming. There was no seasoning or flavor. It tasted smoky and a bit chalky. The mango lemonade was a hit. Overall, I'd try other plates like the salmon and the Soul Roll. Glad to have some other comfort food options in Cobb as well.
