I visited Five Guys in Austell on Saturday, April 4,2026. The service was wonderful. I ordered a regular order of fries, a Strawberry milkshake and a regular drink. The fries were great as always and the milkshake was awesome. The milk shake was so good I had Nicoya Smith make me a strawberry shake to go. Ms. Smith was very professional and gave us exceptional customer service. This store is really blessed to have this young lady greeting customers as they enter and taking their orders. We haven't been to Five Guys in about 15 or 20 years, and we felt that it was past time to make another visit. I could not remember why our visits were so few and far between, and unfortunately, I got a three point reminder: 1. The prices are outrageous! One regular burger is $10, and that does not include fries and a drink! Everything is à la carte. A regular meal here will cost about $20 per person! That alone made me want to turn around and walk out, but hubby wanted to stay. 2. Lack of order accuracy! If I pay that much for a burger, fries, and a drink, I expect my order to be done correctly. I ordered a cheeseburger with ketchup, mustard, and grilled onions. I got a cheeseburger with ketchup, mustard, and bacon. I did not order bacon! I wanted grilled onions! My husband ordered, and did not get onions on his burger either. 3. Lack of truth in advertising. There is a sign that hangs from the ceiling in this restaurant that clearly states that their burgers are cooked well done and juicy. I was excited about the well done part because I like my burgers well done. They told the truth about the juicy burgers because my burger was juicy. However, my burger was not well done! My burger was probably medium or medium well. There was pink in my burger, and I do not like any forms of pink in my burger. The fountain drinks are self serve from a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. The fries were not too bad, and made an Arnold Palmer with a mix of sweet tea and Minute Maid Peach Lemonade. That was pretty good. Overall, our family of 4 spent $86 for 4 burgers, 4 orders of fries, and 4 soft drinks. We would have been better off going to Burger King, Cookout, or Wendys. Five Guys has overpriced food for an underwhelming, disappointing experience. What a waste of money! I don't see myself going back... ever! read more

They're supposed to open at 11am. I walked in at 1102 and was told that the grills were not heated yet. It would be at least 20 minutes. There were 5 people that walked out behind me. This place is so unorganized in the morning. I can't comment about the rest of the day but when the restaurant opens they're never ready. Will not be patronizing this location again. read more

Warning!! Five Guys portion for their large fries has diminished! The portion I received for a large order of fries was underwhelming, and I paid over $7 for them. I asked the counter person why my portion was low compared to my past 10+ years of ordering large fries. The answer I received is that is how it is. This is unacceptable! I paid last week $5 for 3+ bags of potatoes for Thanksgiving. But my barely large fries, which typically feed three, was one potato. When it's late on a Saturday night and you are craving a burger, Five Guys delivers!! The order arrived in record time and it was sealed and fresh. It was made to order. Their little bacon cheeseburgers are just the right size. I am impressed with the 22 options you can add to your burger. I ordered little Fries and they always give you extra fries in the bag. I've been eating fries every day for the last 3 days - just popping them in the toaster oven to freshen...so a small size is perfect for me. 2 issues 1: my hotdog bun was not together, so the bacon just kept falling out. GARBAGE...NEVER again!!! Let me be clear and differentiate...The food was pretty good and they have a 99 current Health Score, but this rant is about customer service and business practices. I'm not a Silver Spooner or a Trust Fund kid and even if I was, when I spend my money at your place of business, I expect at least a bare minimum effort. I walk up to the "Order Here" section and have eye contact with at least 3 employees when I walk in and NO ONE says ANYTHING...No acknowledgment whatsoever. How you gonna take my order, if you don't know I'm here? Even if I walk up confused or appear to be scanning the menu, a semi-articulate, muted acknowledgment is the least you can do. I don't "owe" you s--t and if not for the customer who came in behind me acknowledging me before he ordered (As I was about to walk out the door and leave), I would have left and spent my money elsewhere. In the total scheme of things, my little $10 means nothing, but if you alienate and disrespect enough customers, you close up shop and go out of business. You don't need to roll out a red carpet, but simple respect and courtesy go a looooooooong way towards forming good relationships and loyalty. This was my son and I first visit to Five Guys, and I don't think it will be our last, but this is not your typical burger joint; where I'm use to paying $6 to $8 for a burger, fry and beverage, we ended up paying about that amount for just a burger. You know you are getting good stuff when you see the grease seeping thru the brown paper bag. Ha,ha,ha.... J/K. I've always love Five Guys but this is by far the worst one I've ever been do. The attitudes of the staff is just horrible and everyone seems like they don't want to be here. They don't keep their ketchup dispenser filled, so you will have to ask for ketchup. I think the worse thing about this particular establishment is that their restrooms both look and smell like that haven't been cleaned in years. As a 5 month pregnant woman, I have to use the restroom frequently...I would rather hold my bladder than use those restrooms. With so many Burger Joints on every corner, for a chain, this one is Ok. Now, this location does not have great consistency, but very close. Example, ordered hot peppers, but was given bell peppers in my burger. Service is up and down. Sometimes very good, and sometimes average. Four Stars. read more

I'd say that five guys is my favorite restaurant hands down, last time I went there I got me a little bacon cheeseburger and that thing was bomb didily dot.com; I enjoyed it and it was big enough for my appetite. My daddy also got me a milkshake and it was Oreo crèam flavored, I liked that too. My daddy got a double bacon cheeseburger he liked that too because he ate it all and it only took him 5 bites because my daddy bites food big. And I was eating it regular and taking good bites and I ate it all up to because it was so good. I like the front seating area with all the windows, but the back feels a little closed off since there are no windows back there. They did mess up the sauce on my burger--but I can move past that. This place is poorly managed, and all of the staff have terrible attitudes! They get my order wrong every single time, and then yell at me when I request that they get my order correct. Every single time the staff reacts with juvenile attitudes when they mess up orders. Managers do not care about customers or running a good restaurant. They allow staff to just do whatever and however they choose when addressing orders. They allow staff to interact with customers in a very unprofessional manner. Zero protocol is followed. Corporate will be receiving my complaint and recording of the female on the phone and the sassy attitude displayed to the customer and the manager in the background telling her to put the phone down. The phone was put down and she carried on talking rudely and manager never came to the phone. I have documented every Door Dash problem with this location. My cousin and I were undecided about lunch after taking her kids to Six Flags. We ended up going shopping out in the East West Connector area and we passed by Five Guys Burgers. My cousin was so excited that I figured we had better stop. This was her second visit and my first. They sell hamburgers and hot dogs (Sorry I forgot to ask if the hot dogs were All Beef).They have peanuts available for you to crack and eat while you wait on your burger. I thought the hamburgers were pretty good. They cook your burger when you arrive. I got several toppings on my double patty cheeseburger including Grilled Onions. I cut it in half but along with a regular order of fries (It feeds two people), I could only each 1/4 of the entire burger while I was there. The regular fires were good. Perfect match for the burger. The bag that the fries were in had a lot of grease on it but the fries were not greasy at all an neither was the burger! The beverages are self serve. I ordered a large tea and regretted it. It was not sweet, even to my cousin whom usually mixes half sweet tea half unsweetened tea together. I knew when she complained that it was NOT sweet that I was in BIG trouble. I tried it and not only was it NOT SWEET but it had a strong caffeine taste to it. I almost poured it out and got a carbonated beverage. Instead I thought I'd bring it home and doctor it up. Will give you guys an update later on how it comes out. She was right, but I would have thought she would be helpful for a $30 burger order with a 15% tip prepaid. Nope. Just left Five Guys, had really a great experience! No dinner ready at home, spontaneously decided to get burgers. Service was pleasant & quick, good outstanding! Hot & fresh! Most excellent fries ever! I tried a coffee milkshake for first time & was a bit disappointed I nbn that. Flavor tasted good, but the cup was half full with loads of whipped cream. Similarly to Starbucks, half cup of coffee with tons of foam! The milkshake tasted a bit runny, & not cold like ice cream should be. It was freshly made,,. Perhaps hot coffee was used with vanilla ice cream? I'd get a Coke next time! Definitely a great burger place - skip the shakes unless your kids really want them to keep the drama down. I do think it's a bit pricey here, but I think the great food is worth it! This location is easy to find, it's in a outdoor mall type area-T J Maxx shares the same parking lot. I have been ordering my burger with the lettuce wrap. Today I ask for the lettuce to be on the side with tomato. If you put a hot meat Patty on the lettuce, it ruins it. This is what I got, scraps and heels. I wouldn't even use this on a salad at home. I had to see what all the fuss was about this franchise. Five guys this...Five Guys Burgers that. You know what? You're all right. That was one delicious burger. I walked into this location to see how good this food really is. The first thing out of the guy at the registers mouth besides hello was "You must be a Five Guys Burger and Fries Virgin" I replied with the lost look still on my face "Well yes (chuckle chuckle) I am." Here's the run down. This is not and I repeat not Mcdonalds Wendys or Burger King. It is however soooooooo much better. They do not offer combos. Every item is seperately priced. Examples: Single burger $2.00 Double burger: $300 Single cheese burger: $3.50 Fries (seasoned or unseasoned) $2.00 Large soda: $1.50 Those are just hypothetical prices but I think you get the idea. The staff was very friendly and the burger was ..........Have you ever been to cousin Frank and Aunt Lulus BBQ and Cousin Frank was known for grillin theeee BEST burgers so everybody had to go to his BBQs. Well that is exactly how my burger was. I was highly impressed. You get to pick your own toppings at no extra charge, ketchup, mustard, pickles, hot sauce (I put hot sauce on everything so I was excited to see that as an option) jalapeno peppers, mushrooms, etc. Unfortunately I was not able to sample the fries. I was running errands in this plaza - hit up PetSmart, Target, Office Max and Lowe's when I realized that I'd skipped both breakfast and lunch and needed to put something in my belly postehaste. I had a choice of Five Guys or Chili's - thinking it would be quicker - I opted for Five Guys. Sigh. I know most people love this place - but I just can't put a finger on why. First off - everything is fried in peanut oil. I know Cheeburger! Cheeburger! does the same thing and maybe even Cheeseburger Bobby's - but since processed peanuts make me break out in hives - I have to steer clear of the fries. Me sad. Secondly - and I know this is gonna sound un-American - but why American cheese only? I mean - you go through the trouble of offering all of these amazing toppings - and the only kind of cheese a customer can get is American. Don't Swiss cheese and mushrooms go hand-in-hand? Sorta like bacon & cheddar? And this location was kinda dirty. I popped in around 3pm - and the floors were dirty and the table I sat at waiting for my food to be prepared was in desperate need of wipe down.
