I'd heard great things about Five Guys (even President Obama likes to eat there), but I'd never been to one. I didn't even know where there was one around. Then, on my way to Kohl's today, I saw that there was a Five Guys right across the street, on the East-West Connector. When I was done shopping, I decided to check them out. I walked in, and the guy behind the register asked me if it was my first time there...I must have had a look or something that gave it away. He kindly explained the menu to me, and while I waited, I enjoyed a few peanuts. I got my food to go and headed home. As it turns out, everything that everyone had said about Five Guys was true...a very tasty burger and fries! As the previous reviewer said, this is DEFINITELY NOT your Mickey D's or Wendy's burger, but MUCH better! I'll definitely go there again, but not very often...it's a bit on the pricey side ($10.00 for a cheeseburger, fries, and Coke), but very worth it. The only suggestion I'd make would be to add milkshakes...if they're anything like the burgers, they'll be amazing! read more

I reviewed another Five Guys location a while back. Back then I didn't know anything about burgers, but after eating a ton of different burgers, I realized Five Guys is not one of the best burger places in town. Like most fast food burger places, they mash the burgers thin. This removes all the juices that makes a burger juicy. So you end up with a hockey puck for a patty. Well, at Five Guys, you get 2 hockey puck patties. Fortunately, you can put a bunch of toppings on it to recover the lost flavor of the patty. I would recommend putting as much condiments as possible such as onions, mushrooms, relish etc. Also, always get the cheeseburger, unless you're lactose intolerant. Their hotdogs are pretty much they same. At least they don't mash them down into the grill. You also have the same toppings to choose from. Too bad they don't have chili. Even though their burgers have that fast food quality, they seem to be more expensive than your standard fast food quality burgers. They don't even use fancy, grass fed beef, buns from high end bakeries, or anything else that justifies the price. I give it 2.5 stars. read more

Five guys is a chain and it is good wherever you go. They remind you of home cooked burgers, soft buns, good ingredients, and lots of customization. Get the Cajun fries, a little fry easy feeds two. The bonus of this particular establishment is that the employees are SO nice! It really is full of great people that smile and are happy to be here. Great experience! read more

With so many great local burgers in Atlanta, it's easy to forget that this QSR chain produces a serious competitor. The burgers are incredibly tender and ooze with juice and flavor. I just completed an order with my BF at this location and walked out so disturbed I will not be eating my dinner. An employee with gloves covering the register for a coworker returned to cooking people's food with the gloves she was touching the register, receipts, her mask, and other items with. She simply turned around and grabbed a bun with THE SAME GLOVES and got back to work. In times with such great health concerns circulating that is simply careless, and concerning for every person who has received food from here. Simply disgusting. I will not be going back to 5 guys any time soon considering the standards to keep people healthy and not spread a rampant virus are not respected or taken seriously by every single employee. One of the beat hamburgers in the Atlanta area. It's a good old fashion hamburger! Period. It's juicy, the vegetables are fresh, the fries are hot, and don't let the grease bother you, it's just juice from a fresh made hamburger. If your craving a hamburger and want to do it right, Five Guys is the place! The service is awesome, the environment is clean, and reasonable quick for making it fresh to order. A little expensive but understandable because you get ALOT...they don't cut corners! I'm glad that there is not one too close to me because I would be in trouble! read more

I could not enjoy my burger :( The floors are super slippery. All of the tables & chairs were dirty; we looked for a clean one, but ended up having to wipe one on our own. The place reeks of bleach!!! The bleach smell overpowered any food smell. We tried to eat outside, but the pigeons & bees made that an awful experience as well. We ordered fries, but had to remind the staff after they didn't put any in our bag. My burger was good, even tho eating in there made it less than enjoyable. The only reason that I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is due to the good burger. I'd only order to go from here... read more

We went to five guys in Austell , that was really bad decision, we were waiting for our food 17 min !!! 17 min it's horrible, and team wasn't good, they start argue with each other, scream in front of us: like "I'm a cashier, I know what I'm doing" smth like that, we really want just leave that place and take our money back. But then we saw that it's not only us, all the people in that place were waiting for their food. I understand that cashiers and cooks they might also have their problems or whatever, but still, if you have a problem working just leave, or at least stop taking orders ! Hamburgers are absolutely fantastic, as well as the frys. I came here with some family and was very impressed with the service, the staff was very helpful and friendly, the food can be a bit greasy, but don't let that bother you. The ingredients are fresh and ripe the burgers are juicy and they don't cut any corners when making their burgers. read more

After hearing so many great things about Five Guys and their burgers, from friends and review sites alike, I finally got to try their fare this weekend, and let me say.... DISAPPOINTMENT! While my cheeseburger had the right about of everything to it, it was lacking heavily in the flavor department- so much so that I didn't bother to finish it. Tried the Cajun fries... Huh, I wonder if I should have gone with the regular ones, because while these were good they certainly weren't OMGAMAZING like I've heard about. This location in particular gives me the heebie-jeebies- normally I don't nit-pick about flies in particular restaurants, but watching them crawl all over the open box of peanuts did give me a chance to reflect on whether or not I actually wanted any. Single or double patty burgers with an array of free toppings, fresh cut fries, all beef hot dogs, free peanuts while you wait for your order. Simple menu. All delicious. This store has exceptional service and efficiency. The male and female lead managers on shift at 1:30pm at 04/22/17 were phenomenal. They made sure even in their busiest times to be efficient where everyone on shift was doing something, each guest was pleased, garbage can checks, and other miscellaneous tasks that were performed in the short time of us watching how great this place was ran. Each of the staff members were pleasant and hard working as well as the managers boosting their morales and letting them know she noticed the good work they were putting in. I worked for the world renowned Walt Disney World Company who is known for their exceptional customer service and efficiency at high volumes and being in here today for our first time was a reminder of the time I spent working for Disney. Not sure if it's this location or not because I haven't been to Five Guys in a while, but my experience was ok. I ordered the little bacon cheeseburger. They were very stingy with the condiments and toppings. I could barely taste anything, including my burger. It was dry. Like, not juicy at all! Also shared the Cajun fries with my hubby and they were ok. Service was decent. Won't be back to this location. read more

Food was great and having peanuts to snack on before your food gets there is a life saver for every parent with hungry kids. Large burgers that you can make in as many different creations as you would like. A "little" fry is enough for 2. I do wish they would come up with a kid's meal section. Oh these burgers are the best! I have to make an effort to NOT eat here on a weekly basis. I once saw an employee drop the french fry scooper on the floor, temporarily disgard it, but it eventually found it's way back to scooping up the next guys fries, and you know what?!? I mean a really good burger, no one can say otherwise. Proof that if you pick one simple thing and do it great you can succeed. Make the rest of the menu a la cart and you'll really succeed. What keeps me from coming here more often other than the desire to live past age 60 is the total price. Lunch should cost less than $10. A burger, small fry and drink here will be over that. Ok for dinner maybe but hard to stomach otherwise--especially considering its potatoes and carbonated water you're paying that much for. Just left Five Guys on East West Connector. The customer service was poor, the worst I have experienced in years. The on-site manager had a foul attitude to the point where another patron referred to the poor management decisions by the on-site manager, particularly with respect to my order. Waited close to one hour for a call-in order. The sandwiches appeared to be wrapped and re-wrapped several times. The fries were cold and had a sweet taste as if they were lightly seasoned with sugar instead of salt. I have eaten at other Five Guys locations where the food was great, the customer service and cleanliness far exceed this location. I highly recommend skipping this location until the owners change the Friday evening manager. read more

I placed on online order to go pickup for my lunch. I arrived after the designated time that was given to me on the confirmation page. I told them I had placed an online order and they gave me a bag. When I got to my car and looked in the bag it was a hamburger and not a hot dog. The bag also had a different customer's name on it. I brought the food back into the restaurant and they proceeded to place the bag back so that could give it to the appropriate customer. The manager told me that they had not received my order and there was nothing he could do about it. I showed him my bank account where the money was debited and the confirmation of the order. Nothing still was done. It is now four days later and I have talked to 5 different people including corporate and I still don't have any money and never received my food. In fact, I was told to go file a fraud claim so that my bank would give me back the money. I will not be returning to another Five Guys again. read more

I am a 5 gives lover, but this particular one disappointed me. I always go on a Saturday afternoon with my father because we love the burgers. We arrived and order mine was a regular burger with tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, ketchup, lettuce , and mayo. The burger was amazing but I ordered the fries. They are KNOWN for topping the fries with another scoop of fries. The cup wasn't full and there definitely wasn't enough fries. Do you love consistency? Have you ever tried Five Guys? If you haven't tried their burgers, do yourself that favor and get in here. The burgers here are good from location to location. I have never had a Five Guys burger I didn't enjoy. The service is always fast and quality is great. If you like some heat, try jalepenos rather than pickles on your burger. If you like your burgers dry, overcooked, bland, and the juice literally smashed out of the burger then this is your place!!! I've never seen anything like it. A hamburger place that doesn't know how to cook hamburgers. Are you freaking kidding me?! I stood there with my jaw on the floor as I watched the grill cook holding a heavy metal spatula and literally putting all of her body weight onto the patties smashing them while they were cooking. If she could have stood in top of them I think she would have. Not sure what the purpose was because hey genius... That's not going to make them cook any faster, all you're doing is squeezing the juice out of the patty which will result in a dry hamburger. And to no surprise that's exactly what I got, a dry tasteless burger that had the texture of a graham cracker. What that woman did to those burgers was criminal. I would suggest anyone thinking about going to this place to instead drive further down the road and get a double quarter pounder with cheese fe McDonald's.
