After being referred to them by our landscaper to remove two of our trees, we highly recommend O'brothers and plan to hire them again for future tree cutting. First, we had one tall tree that needed to be removed. The second was a massive tree that was ruining our driveway. The situation was complicated because it was super close to electrical wires and the stump would need to be grinded down and flattened. These guys were not only super efficient, careful and professional, they also had pretty advanced machines including a remote control stump grinder. I called O'Brother and received a quote the same day. 2 days later, they arrived to remove a very large, dying tree from my backyard. Because of where the tree was located, they needed to do it without a crane. They were very careful not to damage my fencing and patio. The entire 6 person team worked efficiently and left the yard looking better and cleaner than how they found it. Before leaving, they trimmed a 20 foot evergreen bush with ease and care. The company did everything right: they came on time, with five guys and the necessary equipment, were careful about protecting the other plants, and the guy who climbed my 60 ft tree knew what he was doing. These guys are fantastic. Responsive, reliable, reasonable. I saw an o'brother's truck outside a neighbors house and called. Patricia picked up right away and scheduled a consult for the next day. Efram (sp?) came out on time with the iPad and drawing tool, made notes of everything I wanted and gave me a super reasonable quote which I took on the spot (less than half of what the red guys quoted us for more labor). Later that evening I got an email of the quote exactly as it appeared on the iPad. Then I got a call to schedule the actual tree trimming/stump removal/bush a few days later. They were a few hours late but not any worse than cable tbh. The actual process was amazing- they had all the cool equipment and the kids sat by the window with snacks to watch the show lol. We used O'Brother last year for a large oak tree removal in front of the house, we were extremely satisfied with their work and competency. Today, we hired them to remove a large mulberry tree from the back of the house and to grind the oak tree stump from last year. Our backyard is fenced in and the side entrance to the back is very narrow. We had three other crews come give us estimates. One crew said they would not be able to do the job due to the logistics of the tree. Another crew said they would cut the tree down and manually carry the pieces out to the front. The third crew wanted to temporarily tear down my fence to access the backyard. O'Brother presented us with a reassuring and competitive solution. They came with their crane extended over the house and took the tree apart piece by piece and lifted it to the street to be shredded. Then they hoisted the stump grinder to the back and took care of the stump. Overall, exceedingly happy with their work and professionalism, and would not hesitate to recommend them. read more

An appointment was made for 1pm. They showed up after 4 so were working in semi darkness and darkness. Much debris and roots were left behind. Even a tree limb. I called, emailed, text and finally two guys came back to clear up the mess. I could tell they were not happy and one of the workers threw down his rake and went and sat in the truck. Still debris, roots and a tree limb left behind. I called and emailed again and finally one of the brothers showed up very annoyed asking for more money. I refused anymore cash and said I would go to the media as my husband was a disabled veteran. Three guys turned up the next day and finally sorted the problem. I got a quote from multiple companies and they were able to give us the best price with the amount of work I wanted done; it was a big job to say the least. Leading up to our scheduled appointment, Patty was always in contact and her communication was excellent. She scheduled her team to come out to my house at 7:30AM and they showed up exactly on time, ready to work. We quickly went over the details of the scope of work, the crane arrived and off they went. It was amazing to see how they worked. The team was fast, very efficient, extremely hard working, very friendly and no time was being wasted throughout the day; everyone was always busy and constantly moving. Not only did they clean up after their work, they were also kind enough to run the leaf blowers throughout the entire house. Called the office and was able to make an appt right away for an estimate with Patricia. Efrian came out for the estimate and explained exactly what they could do for me and gave me a very fair price. On the day of the scheduled job, the crew showed up on time. By the condition of their equipment and vehicles, you can tell they take pride in their work. They took down a tree that was over hanging our pool and fence, without any damage. First, I would like to thanks them for the minimally invasive approach tomy yard and their cleanliness. They kept the area clean and didn't break anything or aggravate my gardens. I had been looking to have a tree pruned that was what a buyer wanted me to do. Unfortunately, I asked about it from 2 other tree services and then 3 bad storms hit. The fellow I chose kept putting off ny job. Then I saw an O'Brother tree truck and looked them up. I called the husband wife team and the next day Efrain came to give me a very reasonable estimate to prune the tree. His wife adorable Patty quickly emailed me a professional estimate along with their insurance declaration page. They were quick, professional and good people. 2 days later they did the job when they said they would and they brought the bucket truck and chipper truck. The job was completed in 1.5 hours. My cherry blossom tree fell down last winter storm and O'Brothers Tree Service took the tree as well as glinded the stump. Now it is completely gone as nothing was there before. They did very nice job with very reasonable price. I am 120% satisfied. :) And I would like to thank Patty very much. Issue with tree may happen rarely, could happen once a life time. When it happened to me, I was frustrated and didn't know what to do. She was very knowledgeable and patient, and answered all my questions including probably silly ones... One star for responding to my emails. I reached out a few times for an estimate for my company and also once for my own backyard. At first patty was very responsive and said her husband will take a look at my company's tree on a sat and let me know the price. I didn't see a quote in my email after that so I follow up with her on Monday and she told me she'll get it to me tomorrow. Tues passed and still no estimate . I shoot one more email on wed asking for the quote and has not heard back yet. My guess is they're very swamped and couldn't keep up but still, if you're not interested then don't keep me waiting. Just simply tell me no thanks and I'll move on. For my backyard, I chose this place again because they are close by river edge but they straight up ignored me. Very pleased with the work they did. Very thorough and remembered all of the details of what I wanted done. I asked if they would chop up one very large limb for us to burn in our fireplace - they did, and they even stacked it for us on our existing wood pile. Did a beautiful job with trimming and shaping the river birch in the front of our house. It took a while to get us on their schedule and they are not the best communicators in terms of letting you know exactly when they are coming but I'll overlook these things because they gave me a much more reasonable price than other tree services. Could not be happier. Due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, we danced our appointment date around for a little while. When we finally landed on one that held, the guys showed up on time as promised. Crew of 7 or 8. Everybody knew what they were doing. Nobody stopped moving, but the guys were also very friendly. They climbed on ropes and used a bucket. Did a significant amount of trimming on three very tall, very mature white oaks in our front and back yards. I don't know anything about tree health or tree maintenance but it seemed to me that they were very judicious about how much they removed. Made sure that the big branches we were worried about over our house and garage were shortened enough to remove the danger, but maintained as much balance in the appearance of the trees as they could. They cleaned up a pretty decent amount of interior sucker growth, too. The clean up afterward of branches, leaves and sawdust on the ground was perfect. Price was competitive with other tree services we got estimates from that quoted us a similar scope of work. read more
