Had a giant, massive tree removed in front of my property…read more 1. Little to no communication. Was told I needed to have police come (an extra not cheap cost) at 8 am. So why didn't A & H's team show up until closer to ten? "They're coming, don't worry." Easy for him not to worry; I'm the one paying. When I asked Javier about it, "don't worry, you'll get reimbursed back for the time." -Never happened. Never saw a dime of that back. 2.-A year later, needed to get the remainder of the stump ground down. They wouldn't commit to a day or time, or time frame. Told me they'd give me notice. They texted me an hour before. I wasn't home. Did they grind it? -Hardly. They were there and left within 45 minutes, and lo and behold, the stump was not ground sufficiently. 3. We had to have them come back, further cost, and at no point do they EVER remove the mulch. So this is just cost upon cost. And yet again, no communication. 4. At no point do they communicate clearly. Javier seems bothered, constantly. People are dropping thousands of dollars for services, and he seems annoyed, quite frankly. Would leave messages, for about 2 weeks continuously getting told someone would call back. -I'd wait a few days, no call back. The most frustrating experience.

They prepared the tracks so well to make sure the equipment doesn't harm the grass or soil. They cut all the dead branches even the ones that are impossible to reach. The staff is very professional and clean. After they are done they cleaned all the small branches and even the dust that came down. I strongly recommend this company who needs pruning service or any arborists in general. They don't just cut trees but also assess the conditions of the tree. So it is a full service company. He quoted a fair price, explained the scope clearly, and ultimately honored everything he promised. I have zero issues with him and would work with him again if he personally handles the close-out. Where things went sideways was at the end of the job, when the owner's "brother-in-law" showed up to "wrap things up." And to be clear, I don't think this guy was his brother in law at all. He kept contesting that he was Colombian and his brother was of a different nationality. I really don't care if he's from Greenland and you're from the north pole. Honor the agreement. I had set aside an additional $500 to tip the crew, completely voluntarily. Instead of letting me speak directly to the workers, the brother-in-law positioned himself between us and immediately started pushing for extra payment, claiming the job was "more than what was agreed." At that point, my $500 went back in my pocket. I never not tip and it killed my to not do it here. Either way, what I saw and who I was dealing with as the closers, "the workers" who actually did the work would have never seen a nickel of that $500. This directly contradicted the signed agreement. He began posturing and making comments that were inappropriate and unnecessary on my property. At that point, I stopped engaging and insisted he call the owner. To the owner's credit, once we spoke, he immediately reaffirmed the original deal, including post-job cleanup and removal of stump cuttings. Everything the owner said matched what was originally promised. After that call, the brother-in-law made an unprofessional remark along the lines of "I like how he talks to you," which only reinforced that he was trying to assert himself rather than resolve anything. The job itself was done well. The owner handled it professionally. But the close-out interaction was completely unnecessary and uncomfortable, and it turned what should have been a positive experience into a tense one. He needs to get his brother in law away from any closing. The guy doesn't have this ability. My advice: If you use this company, make sure the owner is the one handling payment, close-out, and any post-job discussions. Do not rely on intermediaries who were not part of the original agreement.

They laid down boards along the grass for the truck tires to protect grass. They had four men working so it only took a couple hours and we had a very tall, large tree. They cleaned up very nicely.
