Let me keep this simple. COUSIN'S IS THE BEST! Returned calls, kept me informed of arrival, arrived early and got organized to start on time. A tree had fallen across our pool and it also uprooted another one. They quickly figured out how to remove the trees without incurring more damage to the pool. They also identified some problem limbs on our remaining trees and trimmed them so we wouldn't have problems when the next storm hits. The other tree services would contact me a few days later or not at all. I had a tree cut down and another one trimmed. My neighbor did the same thing on his side. So we called Cousins on a recommendation and were extremely pleased that they came same day to take a look and give us an estimate, which we found very reasonable. This was on a Friday. They had a job booked for Saturday, but advised that if they finished in time, they would then come to us. And they did! They arrived with a crane and another truck for the debris, worked safely and efficiently, cleaned up perfectly, and were friendly to boot. Cut down a very large tree across from our house recently and parked their Tree Chipper with the exhaust facing directly at our house and blew chips, dust and dirt directly at our house for hours. Only moved their truck when we started taking pictures and video. Had to pay someone days to clean windows, shutters, sills, inside house, etc. to remove it. Refused to return phone calls and take responsibility even though the owner admitted that day what they did. Filed a complaint with the town and the Better Business Bureau. Their entire crew is very experienced, knowledgeable and professional. One corner of our yard appeared overgrown but we weren't sure what was causing that. Cousins Tree Service did an estimate the day I called, kept me updated as they scheduled me, showed up with 6 guys on time, matched the best price, did not try to up-sell me w/ fear tactics, did the work just 4 days after estimate, removed all debris, constantly asked for my feedback during the job, & did not cut corners. I was most impressed that a day later when I noticed my fence was damaged during the job, the owner readily had me to look up the fence parts & credited me the amount. I am writing this because I see their competitors' trucks more and suspect they aren't getting their fair share of the business. Their prices are competitive, they are punctual, courteous. The last job I didn't feel the need to get a second estimate because I was confident they were giving me the right price. They tend to bring a big crew so they are probably a good choice for jobs which are labor intensive or entail climbing. Each job was a little different and they bring the right resources and explain the options in a low-pressure way.
