I was invited to a business dinner at NYY Steak. I heard that this was one of the best steak houses in South Florida, so I looked forward to discovering if this was true for myself. The staff was incredibly attentive starting with our host, Nevaeh, to our incredibly attentive waiter, Juan. We ordered the chopped salad, A5 Wagyu, Lamb chops, and the side dish trio in which we selected creamed spinach, brusell sprouts, and macaroni and cheese. Everything we ate was cooked to perfection and delicious. In fact, I'm still thinking about how tender the A5 Wagyu Steak was. It literally melted in your mouth. It's a must try. This restaurant is also perfect for a date or special occasion. There's also ample parking in the parking lot on site. 1 Star Very disappointing experience, especially for a birthday celebration My family and I visited NYY Steakhouse at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek while visiting my parents to celebrate their birthdays. Unfortunately, what should have been a special evening turned into a very disappointing dining experience. My father ordered his steak medium well, but it arrived medium. We immediately notified our waiter, Carlos, and I want to be very clear that Carlos was excellent. He promptly took the steak back to the kitchen, remained attentive, and did everything he could throughout the evening to help resolve the situation. He was professional, courteous, and genuinely tried to make things right. The problem was how the situation was handled by management. While my father's steak was being remade, my mother and I were left with our meals. The three sides we ordered to share were only warm when they arrived. I eventually stopped eating because I didn't want my father sitting there waiting for his dinner while the rest of us ate. At least 15 minutes passed and my father's replacement steak still had not arrived. My mother had finished eating, and my father was understandably frustrated. Carlos brought the General Manager, Joseph Faris, to our table. My father extended his hand to shake his hand, and Mr. Faris ignored the gesture. What was even more disappointing was that there was no sincere apology or acknowledgment of the lengthy delay and the fact that a birthday celebration was being negatively affected. I asked that our three shared sides be replaced so that we could enjoy them hot once my father's steak arrived. Carlos immediately agreed and said they would be replaced. My father also preferred another smoked bourbon rather than having his wine replaced. Mr. Faris initially declined, but after Carlos explained my father's preference, Mr. Faris eventually brought the bourbon to the table. Unfortunately, his demeanor while doing so was extremely uncomfortable. He didn't approach my father warmly or offer an apology. He remained at a distance, extended his arm, placed the drink on the table, and pushed it toward my father. His body language and overall demeanor came across as irritated rather than apologetic or concerned. At that point, this was no longer about a steak being cooked incorrectly. Mistakes happen in restaurants. It's how management handles those mistakes that matters. I have dined at many five-star restaurants in California and around the world, and I understand that things don't always go perfectly. What I expect from a high-end restaurant is professionalism, hospitality, and genuine effort to recover when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with the General Manager. The experience became even more disappointing when I went to the front desk and asked for Mr. Faris's business card. An employee went to the back to get one. Mr. Faris then came out himself with the card and asked, in a manner that I found unnecessarily obnoxious, "Who wanted my business card?" I identified myself, he handed me the card, and walked away. Again, no apology. No acknowledgment. No attempt to make the situation right. I subsequently emailed Brent, Mr. Faris's supervisor, to give the restaurant an opportunity to address my concerns directly. I have received no response. That lack of follow-up is particularly disappointing after taking the time to provide management with a detailed account of what happened. To be fair, Carlos deserves recognition. He was the bright spot in an otherwise disappointing experience and handled a difficult situation much better than the management did. We came to NYY Steakhouse to celebrate my parents' birthdays. We weren't expecting perfection--we were expecting hospitality, professionalism, and to feel valued as guests. Unfortunately, that is not what we experienced. read more

We celebrated a high school graduation at NYY Steak, and it was a lovely night overall! My friend had raved about this place, so we came in with high expectations. But, coming out from San Francisco and being spoiled with some really good steakhouses we should have been a little more cautious at our expectations. Booking took a little extra follow up (I called back the day before to confirm and then received the email) but once we arrived, we were seated right away for our party of 8 with no wait at all. The ambiance was really nice...very upscale and with a fine dining vibe. Our server truly made the night. When we mentioned we didn't like the Tuna Tartare, he swapped with another appetizer. That kind of attentive service really stood out. The steaks were fine but honestly nothing super memorable for us. The sides were the real highlight: the lobster mac & cheese, brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and creamed corn were all excellent. Came here for an event and NYY was surprisingly above average. It's located in the casino and has both bar and table service. Also, live music starts at 9p. We ordered a Large Caesar salad which was fresh, crispy and would have been good for 3 people.. the salad had croutons which tasted stale but also some large chips of Parmesan. These were a great addition to the salad. Some in our party were raving about the French onion soup, mentioning it as one of the better ones they've tried. Bread service consists of raisin bread and pretzels. Both were good. Tried the wagyu among a few of us as an appetizer, it was tender and pretty good. It's a bit too rich for me to eat a whole one on my own though. We ordered a Fried lobster appetizer. It was good with the included tartar sauce. Now for our mains...We ordered the "triple play" for apps which is an option to choose 3 for a cheaper price. The apps were shareable. The Mac and cheese was a hit and was good for 3+ people. Mushrooms and corn were ok. Steaks must have been cooked in a very hot oven as they had a little crust despite being medium rare. I probably would have preferred a bit less temperature on mine. The desserts were all good. We got the cookie one, a chocolate cake slice and a crème brûlée. The cake was my least fav. Service was attentive and we were well taken care of. Be sure to make reservations if you want to come during prime time. On that note, they use a 3rd party service for reservations and the whole system is terrible. I had high expectations of a 5 star Las Vegas Steak House. I'd give this place a 3-3.5 stars. The ambiance is not good. It's a huge, loud, open room. Not a romantic place to dine. The service is robotically polished as they are obviously trained, but it comes off as unnatural. The two of us came on a Monday and it was not busy. However, we did feel rushed for some reason. The food was mediocre. The photos look good but it was not as delicate and delicious as you would expect. I've prepared better filets myself. The quality of beef was lacking. The best thing was the wine and Caesar Salad. The worst thing was the triple play sides mashed potatoes, mushrooms and asparagus. All 3 were ungodly awful. The seafood tower was nothing spectacular, but if we were to go back that's probably all we would order with a bottle of wine. read more

The complimentary bread basket was delish!pretzel bread, raisin bread, and butter. My favorite was the pretzel bread. Triple play sides: roasted Brussel sprouts (not bad), garlic mash potatoes (didn't taste the garlic) , and creamed spinach (on the watery side), could've used more flavor for all the sides to be quite honest. I travel often so this was a treat to play a little slots at the casino and splurge on dinner with friends. NYY Steak is located inside the Seminole Coconut Creek Casino. This place books up and I reserved a table on a Saturday night, which I could only get a 9:00pm reservation. When my party of 4 was seated, there were only 3 chairs and 2 table settings. There was some confusion and we ended up grabbing the additional chair ourselves. For a high end restaurant, there was no clarity or order. We were not off to a good start. This restaurant is a contemporary modern design and plenty of seating. There's a lead server and an assistant server who were both pleasant. I ordered a glass of red wine and didn't particularly like it. They were nice enough to change it out. I had the French onion soup which was one of the best ones I've had in a while. It was savory, rich, and just the amount of gooey cheese. You weren't overwhelmed by the bread soaked in broth. Next I ordered the filet mignon. Since the sides are à la carte, I chose the Brussels sprouts, asparagus, and salted mushrooms in their trio platter. The filet mignon was really tender but needed a pinch of salt. The asparagus was overcooked and limp. I did like the asparagus better than the salted mushrooms. I think I loved their complimentary basket of assorted bread and pretzels the best. Everything was fresh and piping hot. They had a weird mix of butter flavors so I asked for plain butter. This is a fine dining establishment and was a nice get together with friends, but for the over inflated prices which I expected inside a casino, the loud dining experience and lack of organization may be a reason I wouldn't go back any time soon. read more

We had a great dining experience at NYY on Christmas Eve. The restaurant is beautiful, and the bar is a perfect spot to grab some drinks while waiting to be seated. We ordered the NY strip, and the Delmonico, which were both cooked perfectly, just how we liked it, each packed with flavor and ohhh so tender. The thick cut bacon appetizer is a must, the presentation alone is worth it for the IG pics! The decadent chocolate cake was big enough for 4-6 people! It was moist and very chocolaty! If you are a chocolate lover, you won't be disappointed. Drinks were just as enjoyable, with Macallen 12, and a few glasses of Malbec they both paired perfectly with our meal. This one of my favorite restaurants. It is a ways away from where I live but for a special occasion I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather celebrate. We came for my husbands birthday and from the moment we checked in for our reservation every one that worked there acknowledged my husbands special day. Managers came to table to talk with us throughout our meal and it very genuine. Of course we ordered the steak and got HBD engraved on it. The servings are massive. It is family style, so although it is pricey, if you go with a group of four it is very reasonable no doubt. No pictures but we did order the bacon appetizers which is massive and so so decadent. The complimentary bread is also delicious. I like to make sandwiches out of the meat with it. The desserts are also huge. After several disappointing meals at the higher end steakhouses, we decided to give something new a try. Last week I took my wife to NYY for her birthday. From the girls at the hostess stand to the bus boy our entire experience with the staff was welcoming, professional, and pleasant. When we entered the inside dining room we were pleasantly surprised. The decor and vibe was that of a classy upscale dining experience. Although this is located in a smoking casino, there is no smell of smoke in the restaurant. Our waitress went above and beyond and to say she was excellent is an understatement. They brought us bread with our own individual herb butter which was so good we could have made a meal out of just that. We started with the fried lobster appetizer which was enough for four people. It was flavorful and delicious and they did not scrimp on the lobster. A 10 out of 10! As we are not huge eaters the waitress suggested we split a steak with a couple of sides. We went with the 16-ounce Delmonico steak with a baked potato and creamed corn. The steak was delicious and cooked to perfection and the waiter sliced it for us which made sharing much easier. The baked potato was huge which we could not finish, and the creamed corn did not disappoint. We also had a beer, a cocktail, and a glass of wine. We were pleasantly surprised when our bill, including tip, came in right at $200.00. For the ambiance, level of service, and quality of food it is well worth the money. This fourth time eating here and I could not believe I had not written a review. I just ate at Berns in Tampa a few weeks ago. I find NYY to be allot better. My wife took here to celebrate my birthday. We decided to skip the appetizers so we could have room for dessert. So my daughter had the lamb chops and my wife and I had the porter house for two. The lamb chops, my daughter wouldn't share it with me, but she did give my wife a peice and she said it incredible! Now the porter house for two! The presentation first was unbelievably amazing. Both sides were so tender, it tasted so good, even though it came with a couple of sauces they were not necessary. We also had few side dishes, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and macaroni and cheese. All three were excellent. Dessert!!! They brought me out something with a candle. I didn't eat it because it was orange and our server couldn't didn't know if it was mango. But we did get a piece of chocolate cake. It was big enough for atleast six people. I ate all the berries that it was served with and two bites of the cake. I was full! Will say our server Juan was great. Everything that went wrong was not his fault, more on management and kitchen staff. We visited on February 11th with reservations at 7 PM. The restaurant was very busy and we had to wait a little bit for them to accommodate us at a booth since my dad is somewhat handicapped. We ordered some appetizers and a drink, and that came out pretty much within a normal time. Juan informed us of some specials and was very hospitable. So was the young man that was working with him that I cannot remember his name. All I remember was that he was in high school and Venezuelan. Everything after the apps, salad and soup went downhill. By the time my salad was taken from our table. I waited another 40 minutes to receive my ribeye steak and a fish entrée. I ordered my ribeye medium. It was burnt to a crisp on the outside and raw on the inside. I sent it back and asked him to please take it off my check. I could not eat it and I was not going to wait another 40+ minutes for a steak. Many tables around us were experiencing similar situations. I do not see myself going back to this steakhouse. I do want to share that the lobster bisque and the appetizer lobster bites are delicious and very fresh. read more

Take a seat at the bar; nice setting, clean menu, no complaints there. Martini: Spot on. Ice cold, properly poured, generous. That's how you start. Then comes the bread basket. What a tragedy. Two stale pretzels and a raisin roll that looks like it's been sat out since last Tuesday. Thank God for the seasoned butter, or else you'd be chewing cardboard. The Caesar--don't get me started. A Caesar should punch you in the mouth with garlic, whisper anchovy in the background, and slap you with umami. Instead, this was limp, bland, utterly lifeless. And the Parmesan? Not fresh, not even close. Straight out of a bloody Kraft can. Embarrassing. Prime rib arrives. Large cut, very generous. You think, "Finally, redemption!" But no--bit on the tough side, chewing like you're in a bloody arm-wrestle with the cow. This is prime rib, not jerky. We finally tried NYY Steak at the Coconut Creek Casino after hearing about it for years. We've been to steakhouses from Boca to NYC, and were curious how this one would stack up. It's a sleek, upscale space with live music in the lounge overlooking the casino. Heads-up: the casino is still mostly smoking, and you can smell it walking through. We started with the fried lobster (huge portion and very good), wedge and chopped salads, and a basket of warm pretzels and raisin bread with herbed butter--really solid starters. I tried three cocktails (rosemary mule, cucumber mojito, and a coconut vodka drink). All were fine but not memorable. Their scotch list is impressive--we ordered a Lagavulin neat, and it was \$33 for a 1 oz pour. For mains, we had the bone-in American Wagyu ribeye and the petite filet. My dad's ribeye came out too rare but was corrected. My filet was cooked perfectly (medium rare plus), tender and flavorful. It reminded me more of a good cut from J. Alexander's than a standout steakhouse filet. The ribeye was flavorful but very fatty--might try the Delmonico next time. We shared mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and jumbo asparagus. Mashed potatoes were great. The spinach and asparagus came covered in parmesan, which wasn't listed. We asked for plain asparagus, and our server quickly fixed it. The spinach was just okay. Dessert was the highlight--we got the flambéed volcano-style dish with crispy toffee and ice cream lit on fire tableside. It was excellent and great for sharing. They also brought a small flan-like dessert for my husband's birthday, which was a nice touch. Service was excellent--timing was on point and the staff was friendly. We were seated on time, got our booth request, and had a good view of the kitchen. Only drawback: no restrooms inside the restaurant--you have to walk into the smoky casino to use them. Overall, NYY Steak delivered a good experience. The food was solid, the atmosphere was lively, and service was strong. It didn't blow me away, but I'm glad we tried it. This is only my fourth time here truly one of the great steakhouses in all of Florida. Yes, it's at the casino and it's truly amazing Steak tips appetizer with blue cheese to die for Incredible wedge salad with delicious blue cheese dressing the rolls and butter and pretzels can't be beat. NYY has always been one of my favorite steakhouses, we went there for a birthday this past weekend and from our waiter Cory, to the most delicious food and drinks. It was a pleasant dining experience, unfortunately, all the dishes that we had were not in my review. The Chilean Seabass was amazing, the churrasco steak was to die for, and you can see by the picture the lamb chops were fabulous. First off, this restaurant is located in the casino. So if you take someone underage with you, you need to park in the garage or valet to get there without being denied casino entry. Ambience is very nice. A true spectacle of yankee stuff if you're from NY or a yankee fan! Food was wonderful, even though a very slow experience! The free pretzels they start you with are delicious! Every experience at NYY steak has been great. I stopped in for brunch because I've enjoyed some of their vegetarian items before, such as brussels sprouts. I sat down in the early afternoon and was approached by a bartender, at the bar area instead of the dining room. That's the one I learned that the full menu was unavailable doing brunch for lunch hours my death and I ended up ordering a vegetable omelette and a salad with no bacon. Although they didn't have exactly what we wanted. The food we ordered was delicious and nicely prepared. The staff was extremely polite and we made jokes about the menu selection which they said they bring up to the manager. I hope they do, I'd truly love to have some of the regular items earlier in the day. The atmosphere was very light and relaxed as their clientele started to pick up.
