Society Seafood has officially revamped, renovated, and reopened with a refreshed concept centered…read morearound upscale coastal seafood and bold Caribbean-inspired flavors, so I had to check it out. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, which were rich and flavorful, followed by the Grand Marnier Society Wings--a standout appetizer with a great balance of sweet and savory flavors. The Mac & Cheese was creamy and made for the perfect side. For our entrées, we ordered the Calypso Pan Seared Branzino and the Coconut Curry Snapper. Both dishes were served with vegetables of the day, rice and peas, and sweet plantains, creating a well-rounded and satisfying meal. The seafood was cooked well, and the Caribbean-inspired flavors added a unique twist to each dish. For drinks, we enjoyed The Pearl, the Lavender French 75, The Golden Hour, and an Old Fashioned. Each cocktail was well-crafted and paired nicely with the menu. We finished with the Warm Cookie Skillet, topped with vanilla bean ice cream and a caramel drizzle. It arrived warm, gooey, and was the perfect dessert to share. Beyond the food, the renovated space feels modern and inviting, making it a great option for date nights, celebrations, or a night out with friends. If you're looking for an elevated seafood experience with Caribbean-inspired flavors, Society Seafood is worth checking out.

My brother/friend and I went yesterday for lunch and got the oxtail bowl and the pepper shrimp bowl. We were full for the rest of the day, and mind you, this was around 2:30 The service was amazing. The bar manager gave us great conversation while also letting us know about their happy hour and dinner hours. We even talked about possibly hosting a teacher happy hour there, and he pointed us in the right direction on who to contact. Now let's get into the food... 1000/10! The flavors from the coconut rice down to the pepper shrimp sauce -- OMG! As I'm typing this, I can taste the flavors all over again Lunch is Wednesday-Friday from 12:00 PM-4:00 PM. Definitely check them out!

We sampled the greens, mac & cheese, and brisket with gravy, served family-style. The greens were well-seasoned, but the texture was off and they lacked the flavorful finish I was hoping for. The mac & cheese was definitely cheesy, but the flavor just wasn't there for me. The brisket was the biggest disappointment--it was tough rather than tender, and the gravy didn't save it. Overall, the presentation and concept were nice, but the food didn't deliver on flavor or texture for me. Unfortunately, this one gets a NOPE.

Just a note that the food does take a while to come out so if you're ordering with a large group make sure to pass the menu around beforehand so you can order when you sit down. We started with the fried food platter Friday platter and everything was delicious. It came with plantains and okra and fries. The entrees are quite large and if you wanted you could split them as well. I got the stew chicken with rice and plantain and it was extremely flavorful and great comfort food. The waiter we had did not speak a lot of English so I think some things were kind of lost in translation when we ordered, but overall my group and I were satisfied.

To me the food to me was fairly average as far as haitian food goes and I was missing my favorites like griot and marinade, but it is in no way bad! My friend and I definitely enjoyed and cleared our plates! With there not being too many haitian food options in the area, I would definitely recommend this place to someone looking to enjoy a simple haitian dinner in a welcoming environment. Much respect to the owner for shining a light on haitian cuisine in MD! Also, as a tip I would Be sure to check out the menu before going as certain things like the black rice is only served on the weekends.

At heart, I'm a man that truly enjoy most Caribbean dishes ( oxtails, goat, curry/jerk chicken,…read moreroti, etc ) So, I set out on a quest to give a new Caribbean cuisine restaurant a shot at winning me over. That's when I bumped into Caribbean Dish... The name got me, yes it's basic, but the title was exactly what I was looking for. The restaurant is in a small unassuming parking lot... if you don't know it's there, you probably will miss it ( so glad I didn't !! ) The minute I walked in, I felt authentic family vibes ( something I look for when choosing my Caribbean locations ) The service was very friendly, and they cleared everything up when I wasn't sure if my particular craving could be fulfilled ( the combo I desired wasn't on their daily menu ) My sights were set on the oxtail and curry goat combo ( of course with rice & peas and veggies ! ) And when I say the goat was tender, and seasoned to perfection... while the oxtails had that juicy meatiness that will for sure keep me coming back. The rice & peas were cooked just right ( texture was on point ) and the veggies still had that freshness that brought everything else together. I love my Caribbean dishes saucy and not dry ( they get two thumbs up in that department ! ) Family vibes, cheerful greeting, and amazing food.... Caribbean Dish you just locked yourself in a loyal customer !!!!! Give them a shot and I can almost guarantee you won't be disappointed !!!

I attempted to call beforehand, but orders are not taken on the phone. I believe there is online ordering available via their site and other food delivery services. I got the curry chicken buss up shut with a side of spinach. Huge portion! Curry is delightful, aloo is perfect, spinach, dope. Buss up shut, better than my Aunties, but don't tell her that...eek! Found out they have lunch specials and I will be back to try more things.
