Very good food. Services is fast and food is tasty and fresh. A couple times I get cold fries but they fix that and give me fresh hot fries when I ask. I'm a repeat customer for sure.

My sweet man and I eyeballed this spot for a while and had it on our list of Chicago hot spots to check out. NYC HALAL EATS is the truth. Go grab a plate, NY style chopped cheese, or a Salito bowl. My honey bear got a mixed plate and I got the seafood plate. They both came with salad, fries, fragrant rice and the drizzle. Great ambiance, city vibes, spacious, cool wall art. My husband and I ordered to go last night and we got the chicken fajitas, chopped cheese, and chicken gyro. I think for 12 something sandwiches should already come with fries but they didn't. The food was delicious nonetheless.

Just tried this place through Uber Eats and WOW. I'm someone who will try just about any rice and chicken combo and let me tell you, this one blew me away. Hands down the best lunch order I've had in a long time. The quantity is great, I had enough for two meals. The sauces are spicy and so flavorful If you're ever craving good chicken and flavorful rice, this is the spot. It's officially my favorite Uber Eats order now. Will definitely be reordering, probably more times than I should admit.

I had seen this place pop up when it first opened, but I rarely find myself in this part of town. One day last week, I had to be up in Rogers Park for work and decided to swing by for lunch. I was the only person in there, except for a couple Uber eats drivers picking up orders. There is plenty of seating and the inside is super clean. They have a huge menu but i came for the famous combo plate with lamb and chicken. The person at the counter was welcoming. She packed my container like a professional Tetris player. The food had a ton of flavor and a little heat. For the price, quality and amount of food you get, if haven't been here, you're doing a disservice to yourself. Highly recommend.

Good thing ordering food was quick and menu is not hard to read. Like the variety of drinks, the Blue Freez drink was good. Now the not so good, I got the lamb gyro and it was dry, like no white sauce what so ever. Since it was my first time, I wish I would've known to order more but pictures I've seen showed otherwise. Fries were okay. My husband asked for a salito and ended up with a platter, which was okay, again not enough sauce for all the food on there. Then the purple cabbage stuff was way too much. Seen on Tik tok for late night eats, that was hyped up, but I won't be rushing back, but still glad I tried something different.

I first saw NYC Halal Eats on Instagram and made a mental note to check it out for their Chopped Cheese. As someone who basically treats NYC like a second home, I was *hyped* for this opening. Now, how I ended up near Devon St. that day? No clue. I can't even remember what I was doing up there, but my stomach didn't care--it was demanding food, and NYC Halal Eats popped up. Naturally, I zoomed over ASAP. Let me just say, the Chopped Cheese *did not disappoint*. It was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. Big props to them for nailing that iconic NYC flavor. BRAVO! I also got the chicken and rice plate, which was solid but not as memorable. The flavors were good, and the portion size was generous, but it didn't wow me like the Chopped Cheese did. If you're in the area, I'd say this spot is definitely worth trying--especially for that Chopped Cheese. Just come hungry because their portions are no joke!

The platter comes with both rice and fries. The sauces are the real deal. It's good and fills you up to the core

The playlist needs an update, the same head banging songs on repeat was getting annoying. The service was good, the ladies in the kitchen were all working as fast as they could to get all the food out together. Ordered a bunch of items from the menu but it was a little underwhelming in terms of flavors. The MOE Burger didn't look like much but it was the best tasting item we ordered!!! - definitely going back for it

Love this place, saw on tiktok and we decided to go. The drive was a bit long but it worth it. The amount of food they pack chicken. The employee was very nice. And she welcome everyone into the restaurant. Street parking. Price is reasonable. The menu is big. Will come back to try other food on the menu.

I didn't experience any rudeness like many reviewers. Food wasn't the worst nor the best. Decent. I don't know of many halal places near downtown but this particular neighborhood has plenty. What sets this place apart is they're an American version because aside from falafel & various Indian or Mediterranean dishes they serve New York classics such as Philly cheese steaks & chopped cheese. The price point is definitely on the higher side because I paid almost $40 for two entrees & a side. Exercise patients because the food will take upwards of 10-15 minutes. The fries were the worst of the bunch. They could benefit with some seasoning. I wanted to indulge in the interesting milkshakes such as Cinnamon Toast Crunch & fruity pebbles but maybe another time.

Food and atmosphere. The portions of the meat and sandwiches is large on a reasonable price. Highly recommend. All food is Halal.

I enjoyed the gyro and white sauce, but I was less of a fan of the chicken and rice. The rice had an off flavor that didn't go well with the meats. The French fries with white sauce were delicious. Great white sauce!

Place really went downhill. Besides the fact that the owner stands over the food picking his nose. It was great in the beginning.

This is hands/down one of our favorite restaurants in the U.S. ! You heard that right! IN. THE…read more UNITED STATES! Chef Stephanie Izard is a food genius! The winner of Season 4 of Top Chef and the first female winner in the show's history, she has built a restaurant that continues to impress us every single time we visit Chicagoat. Be sure to make your reservation in advance because you will not be seated without one due to its popularity among both locals and tourists. We come here every time we visit Chicagoat. The food is absolutely amazing. We had the following dishes: 1. Roasted Pig Face Straw fries topped with roasted pork face, a sunny egg, and a collection of magical sauces that somehow transform into pure comfort when mixed together. I don't even know exactly what's in the sauce, but I don't need to know. This dish is divine and an absolute must-order. The crispy fries, rich and tender pork that practically melts apart, silky egg yolk, and savory sauce create a dish that is indulgent, comforting, and ridiculously delicious 2. Green Beans Not featured in the photo because we ate them too fast. Enough said. Get them. 3. Goat Mousse The menu changes periodically, so this was a new dish for us. The goat mousse was creamy, rich, and surprisingly light, served with sweet jam, crumpets, crackers, pickles, and giardiniera. The contrast of sweet, tangy, creamy, crunchy, and savory flavors creates a little flavor party in your mouth. Every bite can be customized differently, which made this dish especially fun to share. 4. Pork Belly & Watermelon Perfectly cooked pork belly with a crisp exterior and rich, savory flavor, balanced beautifully by refreshing watermelon cubes and fresh greens. I don't know how healthy it is, but we aren't here for health. We're here for flavor. We're here for comfort. We're here to be punched in the soul with food that we will never forget! The sweet, juicy watermelon cuts through the richness of the pork belly and creates a combination that sounds unusual but works incredibly well. 5. Halibut with Thai Sprouts A beautifully cooked piece of halibut served with Thai sprouts, miso marcona butter, and blueberry fish sauce. Yes, blueberry fish sauce. And yes, it works. The fish was flaky, buttery, and perfectly cooked. The savory umami from the miso butter paired with the subtle sweetness and acidity from the fish sauce created a combination that was balanced, and memorable yet surprising to me. The restaurant itself has a dark, energetic atmosphere and is always packed. The tables are definitely close together, but given how popular the restaurant is, I understand why they maximize the space. Absolutely recommend coming here. Your tummies won't regret it.

It was so fun to chat with the chefs and watch them prepare dishes. I ordered the roasted "pig face" potatoes and the famous sautéed green beans. While waiting for my food, the chef surprised me with complimentary chickpea fritters to try. All of the dishes tasted incredibly delicious and this was the best restaurant I ate at during my trip. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic. I would definitely dine here again the next time I am in Chicago.
