First, I just want to compliment these guys for being so understanding and helpful despite the short notice I had to give them. I had to move out of my old apartment on very short notice due to some electrical issues, and so I was terrified I wouldn't manage to find a reasonably priced moving company to help me through the difficult move. Ok, so I come from a huge military family and we tend to move around a lot so I have worked with many a moving company. And I have to say this company is quite experienced, reliable and efficient. They were quick to help me with a quote and answered any questions I had ahead of time before purchasing. Friendly and understanding, they never rushed me or pushed me to go with them but rather helped in making the decision easier. During the move, their workers were quick, meticulous and quite careful, which I enjoyed because I had many fragile and valuable items. If I didn't like something, they were more than happy to accommodate my likes and wants. Typically I have family help more, but because of busy schedules really had to rely on these guys through the whole moving process. Very satisfied with NYC Best Quote Movers. Received five or six offers, this was the only one company that bid with the hourly rate. This made me slightly nervous, as flat rate offers seem to be the norm, and it invites the worry that the company will drag the move on and one. However, the movers (John, Ralph, and Jimmy) were extremely professional, packed all furniture appropriately before moving, then unpacked everything in the new location, assembling one item that had had to be disassembled. The day bed was from IKEA, and very confusing to put together. And the move took exactly the time estimated, making the hourly rate fully comparable to any flat rate offer I received. Note: it had not been the cheapest offer, but neither had it been the most expensive, by far. I recently helped my sister and her husband move from their apartment in Manhattan.. Her husband got a new job with better pay and they had to relocate rather quickly. When this company says the our best movers they are not kidding! They were so nice and from the way my sister was gushing very friendly and professional. I was only around for a little while, but I was very impressed how thorough they were. For example, when bringing in furniture they made sure they placed it exactly where she wanted. I called and had a conversation with the manager (think his name was John) who immediately started working on the move. The company offered packing services, which I decided to try out as well. I recently moved from Manhattan to NJ. This was probably my 5th or 6th move since I came to Manhattan and by far this was the smoothest and the quickest one. The movers showed up right on time and got right down to the move after asking a few important questions. The team: Nicolas, Vlad and Yuri were super polite, fast, and careful.
