I'm never going back nor recommending anyone to go here. They in no way were professional or made my friends and i feel welcomed. From the moment we tried parking we had an encounter with this smart ass guy who decided he just wanted to be an asshole over parking. Then it turns out the guy works there. My group an i tried to put it behind us and enjoy the night. So i go in with my party of 6. We didn't even get a hello, they just push us to the bar. So we sit at the bar and start drinking. An you know when u walk into a place and get those awkward stares, that's how it was there. Then the bartender starts opening beers with an ice scoop and makes the ice fly onto my friend. Then when my friend shows some annoyance, he then with an attitude says "its just ice." At that point we start drinking fast so we can go. He then openes another beer same way, an the same thing happens....again. He dosent even say sorry or open the beer in a different direction or beter yet open it with a fucking bottle opener. As new residents to Peekskill, my husband and I have been searching for a great place to kick back and enjoy awesome foods... Firehouse Grill is our Go-To place! The atmosphere is great with a split restaurant and bar area. So, whether or not you go with family (and kids) or just a typical hang out night with some friends, this venue seems to do quite well catering to such needs and clientele. They have specials pretty much every day and they are all equally delicious. In addition, they have a wide variety of beers on tap. As for service, are all really friendly and are attentive so definitely no issues there. Ask for Lauren. :) On our recent visits including tonight's (7-26-13), we've had the... 1. AAA sampler appetizer (succulent chicken tenders, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers, and a mountain of fries). The appetizer is usually good for about 2-4 people depending on your appetite. It's a nice starter. On their yelp pics, someone called it "disgusting." In defense of this venue and as a regular customer, that person is wrong. In their pic, the food was in a metal tin so most likely it was a take out order. Grant it, not everything is going to be great as take out but I would recommend eating it there for freshness and better-assured quality. Who knows how long that person let it sit before eating. If you are going to insist on eating fried foods as take out, go to KFC or a fast food chain. 2. Chicken Wings (check out their menu for a full list of fabulous flavors): Firehouse Grill gives you a huge list of flavors and choices between boneless, ten wings (code ten - 1 flavor), twenty wings (code twenty - 2 flavors), and thirty wings (code thirty - 3 flavors). My personal favorites are the garlic parmesan because THEY DO NOT PLAY... These wings are doused in freshly chopped garlic in a seasoned oil. MOUTH-WATERING GOOD if you are a garlic fan like me. I have also had the bourbon (ok on flavor but not heavy), honey bbq (sweet and tangy with a hint of bbq-esque smokiness), and dusty ranch (seems like a nice dry rub without being too overpowering). I highly recommend anyone who likes wings to just pick a flavor or two and try them there. For price, the wings are a decent size, NOT overcooked, very juicy, and well seasoned. Also, if you like heat or want to try heat for the first time, they have a very nice selection of spicy hot wings and combo flavors to the point of extreme, which they call "Waiver wings;" sooo hot that you really do have to sign a waiver. 3. Avocado Salad (Special item - Fresh crisp salad of mixed greens with perfectly cooked grilled chicken, avocado slices, tomato, and cucumber with a beyond amazing avocado dressing): I cannot stress how good their avocado dressing is... It kind of reminds me of a creamy avocado cilantro aioli that tastes great on anything they serve. I order a side of it any time we go. In addition, as a huge foodie, considering Firehouse Grill is a restaurant/bar, this place knows how to grill chicken perfectly and has delicious salads. In all honesty, I was skeptical at first about ordering a salad from a bar. I was pleasantly surprised that this was one of the freshest salads that I've had in awhile and from such a place. 4. French Dip (Steak au jus sandwich with fries): My husband ordered this and was told that he lucked out because there was enough ingredients for one more. This says something good if its a sell-out item. He seemed to enjoy the sandwich but he told me that what made the sandwich so great was the au jus that came with it. The meal came with a small bowl but enough to soak the sandwich and some fries. If you need more though, just ask. 5. Indian Point Burger (Special Item... Juicy sirloin burger with pepperjack cheese, crisp bacon, slice of red onion, tomato, lettuce, and the avocado-cilantro dressing that I love soo much): What can I say, it was delicious and I would definitely order it again without hesitation! The burger was cooked to a perfect medium rare as asked for and the combination of flavors worked very well together. It comes with a choice of fries, sweet potato fries, or a side salad. I asked for the sweet potato fries. YUM! 6. Peekskill Panini (Special item... Marinated skirt steak with spinach, sundried tomatoes on a toasted ciabatta bread, served with fries) Nicely cooked steak and flavor combo of the sundried tomatoes and spinach. For extra "ummph," get a side of the avocado dressing. Hehehe Seriously is great on everything. 7. Olde English Fish & Chips (Freshly fried sole filets, chips, and tartar sauce) I have been searching for a place that makes worthy fish & chips... This place has it! I cannot even do it justice writing about it in this review. All I can say is to go and try it yourself if you are a fish & chips type of person. The place is cool, dedicated to fireman. I had the wings they were just OK. The flavor combos seem cool but just wasn't that flavorful. If I go back I will not have the wings again. The combos I had were French Toast, Buffalo Ranch couldn't taste the ranch or buffalo at all. I think they put the wings in a combination of ranch and buffalo dressing but it seem to just cancel both flavors out. I had a few more but as I said none of them had a lot of flavor. read more

I have not been to the restaurant so this review is regarding their catering business. Alex, his staff and food were fabulous! They absolutely made our daughter's outdoor graduation party a big success. Everything was taken care of so I was free to enjoy the party. They set up before our party began and when they left there was no evidence that they had ever been there. The food was so good that many of our guests wanted to know who they were and how we found them. I would definitely recommend Alex for a nonstressfull catered event! read more

I'd been here before, under the previous ownership. I remembered the food to be quite good, if not excellent. Well, not this time. The Asian Lettuce Wraps looked promising on the menu, but appeared at the table as slightly wilted Bibb lettuce leaves accompanied by a bowl of chicken bits and walnuts SWIMMING in soy sauce. There was no balance to this dish - no sweetness, no heat, nothing to take the edge away from the overwhelming saltiness. Additionally, the sauce was so thin as to be difficult to contain in a lettuce leaf - it should have been reduced to a thicker consistency. We'd had the Pig Skins before and remembered them as hearty potato shells filled with generous portions of pulled pork and topped with melted cheese. While I appreciated the switch to a smaller red potato, the amount of pork in the potatoes was paltry. Additionally, the cheese wasn't fully melted on top. My husband ordered the chili, as that is THE food that comes to mind when thinking of a firehouse (hubby is a former fireman, and has fond memories of hearty bowls of the stuff prepared at his firehouse). I'm not sure what firehouse would serve this chili to its men, though. It's sweet - not like "Dude, sweet!", but like "Holy cow, did they dump a cup of sugar in this stuff?". Definitely the un-chili. We took it home with the hope of doctoring it up - sadly, there was no saving this stuff, though. Hubby'd had the meatloaf here before, and although he loved it he wanted to try something new. Enter the Pulled Pork Sandwich. Rule number one: NEVER order pulled pork north of Virginia unless you know for sure there's a smoker on premises. In addition to dry, flavorless pork the sauce was again WAY too sweet. This, too, went home in the hope of salvaging it later. The fries were nothing spectacular, but not overly greasy or mealy. Since hubby remembered the meatloaf fondly, I ordered it so he could pick at mine. It was definitely not as remembered. "Server on toast points" translated to "plopped down on a slice of white bread". The texture was OK, not the worst I've had, but the flavor was lacking. The potatoes that came with it were, frankly, horrible. Big cuts of potato that were overdone at one end and mealy mush at the other - and completely dried out all over. Service was OK, if slightly sluggish when drinks were involved. The way the tables were set up was odd, and although it was a busy night there were a few free. However, we were parked at a cramped table even though the adjacent one could have been pulled over for more room (it was never used for the rest of dinner service). We may go back for the bar, but there are FAR better eats to be had in the area (Peekskill Brewery, The Quiet Man, The Birdsall House). read more

The firehouse grill is a really good place to go locally with friends. I've gone a few times and have to say that I only go there for two things. THE WINGS AND THE CAJUN FRIES. I haven't really tried anything else (with the exception of the pie and nachos) and quite frankly I don't want to. On Sunday's they have price wings and I don't know what beats that. So 9/10x I'll go on a Sunday and get the wings. They have various selection of sauces. My personal favorite is just asking for honey mustard & honey BBQ. They have a few other flavor combos I really like but usually I opt for that. The service here is also pretty good and It's more of a sports bar. read more

Food is amazing 10/10 but lately the service has been really bad. Me and my friends went around thanksgiving time and spent around 120$ and would've spent more but the waitress was on the other end of the dining room either on her phone or walking around drinking in the bar area. We had tried to call her over to order more food and drinks and when she finally made eye contact with us she ran inside the kitchen and pushed a young guy out who also made eye contact with us and ran back in the kitchen like seriously?! Every time she actually came to our table we tried to give her multiple requests at once as to not have her go back and forth but she would constantly try to walk away after hearing the first request. Her 30$+ tip turned into a 2$ tip with comments on how bad her service was. First time I ever came to this restaurant I got bad service in the bar area so I figured I had to sit in the dining room to get food service. Now I have to request Krystal to get good service because her and the food is the only thing keeping me coming back to this place. read more

Awesome wings! They have a crazy variety of flavors and the new cannoush (siracha) are to die for. We used to love ninja warrior but they haven't been great the last few times we ordered them. The bbq, hbt, and Parmesan dry rub are all great. They also have some crazy unique flavors like maple bacon and pbj. Trivia night is a blast and the staff is super friendly. Takeout and dinein are easy and good comes quick when it's takeout (10 minutes, tops). I don't recommend, however, the French dip. But seriously, the wings are the best! read more

I have been to both locations, but have eaten only at the Peekskill location. I will start off by saying that the staff is really great. They are very nice and attentive, and great to kids if you bring any. The beer on tap is good, with a rotating seasonal selection available. Looking at the menu you would think this place was off the charts! They claim to specialize in BBQ (and I understand that opinions differ on latitude), but the brisket I got was terrible. It tasted like pot roast basked in a thin barbecue liquid. I could not have possibly been more disappointed. My husband and I recently moved near the area and we didn't know where to go for dinner. We tried the firehouse grill one night and have been going there quite often ever since!! For $15 bucks, I was expecting a lot more than a modest sized item filled almost exclusively with rice and lettuce(with a side of lettuce and a little ramekin of yet more rice). One of my favorite places to go to for great comfort food. They have an extensive collection of artisan beers along with a nice comfortable bar area. I don't usually frequent the bar room but love the main dining area which is warm and friendly with the staff extremely attentive if your beverage goes low. The food is wonderful renditions of classics. Their wings, varying from the non-spicy False Alarm, through the 3, 4 and 5 Alarm on up to almost unmanageable Haz-Mat are delicious and fried to perfection. There are great appetizers, salads, huge juicy burgers and a wonderful rack of St. Louis Style ribs, slathered with bbq sauce and surved with curly fries and cornbread. Lunch today was nice. Pulled pork nicely spiced and tender. My companion had brisket and enjoyed it. They obliged us and let us mix the sweet and white potato fries that were good. I have had much better BBQ down south and in Manhattan and Queens but for the area was pretty good. That said, please, please, please turn the heat up, it's freezing, and turn the damn TV off. I've television at home. I eat out to socialize with friends. TV's in restaurants are a major pain. And I kinda like to eat without wearing my coat. read more
