The food is just alright! The drinks are weak!! And it's a very small bar. I've been here on multiple occasions. And our visits were just alright. This time we went for the fight spent $200 and another "customer" started and altercation with us, So bc he new the Owner they asked is to leave! And allowed the instigators to stay. read more

Food was okay service was not... half of our food was served and then we had to flag someone down after about 15-20 minutes to even get anyone to notice us to get drinks, the rest of our order or anything else was like a game pf hide and seek with the waitstaff very disappointing read more

Awesome whole in the wall. Good food and drinks I especially love their wings. Definitely give NY Firehouse Grill a shot

Love this place! Went last night with my wife and 1 year old. 1.)They a great beer selection, bottle and draft. 2.) I ordered the Stakeout and it was awesome! The sandwich had steak with peppers, onions, cheese, bacon and a sauce that was incredible. My wife had salmon that was cooked to perfection and she said she thoroughly enjoyed it. 3.) What made the evening is that when my one year old started get restless, Alex the owner came over and gave her a firetrucks and helicopter to play with. She got so into it Alex joined her in playing with the toys. Alex made us feel so welcome and we all had a great time. I know my daughter had a great time and Alex made her laugh and smile. The beer is cold, the food is great, the staff was amazing! Cant't wait to go back! Perfect place a family. read more

Stopped by here on a whim after a holiday party. Being hungry,. we were surprised by the diversity of good food to choose from. I had penne Pollo. A generous portion of pasta, a near perfect cream sauce, and all around good value for the price. Very creative desserts...one called fried p.b. and j. The service was quick and friendly. Definitely a good choice to go out with friends. read more

Food is decent nothing extraordinary to rave about if you're in the area check it out but not worth traveling out of your way for.

Probably the worst service in all of life. I mean, this is no one time experience. I'm talking based on at least ten visits. First off, the food is great. They have a great wing selection, as well as the taste to go with them. Their fries and other entrees are good as well...but dat service. First of all, it's a pain to get them to notice you when you sit down, then they're always moody. ALWAYS. There's a female bartender that clearly hates her life, because she is the most miserable human being to ever work behind a counter. She usually walks up to you, says "what do you want" with the most dead, crap attitude and that's it. Once you get your food prepare to never see her again. She just stays behind the counter and texts on her phone. As for the other ones, they're too busy being talkative with their other coworkers. No. One. Services. You. They just don't seem to care. There was once an altercation when a group of people sitting next to us decided to tip low. The female bartender goes to the table and asked them "what was wrong with my f'ing service. This tip is too low!" Meanwhile the people weren't hostile, or belligerent that night. They had no right to be questioned based on their tip. In other words, unprofessional joke of a staff they have. Food=good (but good looking ordering it) Service=joke I'm done with this place Update: changing stars after change of staff read more

I was a regular customer there multiple times a week, I have never sent food back. I sent my $35 steak back because it was over cooked and was told I am not welcomed back. I was banned for sending the food I PAYED for back. Owner is rude and unprofessional does not care about loyalty only his pockets. My girlfriend was also mistreated. Not the first time in the over 2 years I have been a customer I have seen him mistreat women. read more

Came here for a lot of fun with my boys and took them off guard by showing up 20+ deep. They handled it well by calling in the reserves to help. Ordered 20 wings and I should have gone with the wet ones instead of the dry ones but there is always next time. Had the Jerk and the Ranch wings and will be coming back for more. Watched someone do the 10 wing challenge and win himself a t shirt and probably shat fire for a few days but all in good fun. Waitresses are VERY professional and friendly!! read more

WINGS! WINGS WINGS! I fucking love wings! The original Firehouse Grill had the best wings around; so I was understandably a little bummed when they closed up shop. Well imagine my excitement when one of my best friends bought the place! Especially considering it is my friend with whom I've spent countless nights in bars, restaurants and at our places, eating and drinking - particularly beer, burgers and wings. I have great taste in wings (obviously), so of course my friends have great taste in wings! And I'm really not just saying this; the wings here a legit awesome! Everything else is damn good too, but for me the wings are the standout. I don't live close anymore but I always stop in when I'm in the area, obviously to see my friend, but also to crush an order of wings. btw, I hear that you can get a free hug if you ask for Alex. Tell your friends! read more

Response to Alex: I appreciate the response however your apology is not accepted. To clarify, all three of the tortillas came out cold after the soup needed to be sent back for reheating. They simply did not "cool off" because they were cold to begin with. The waitress was told this as well. We also do not care who else dines in your restaurant. If a baby needed to taken care of by all means do that but the yelling and truck rolling two feet from our table does not make for a pleasant dining experience. We were spoken to very disrespectfully at the time and it's clear there is no responsibility taken for the food coming out of the kitchen or the atmosphere for the customers. No reply is necessary. Orignal review: I have been to this restaurant numerous times over the past few years, but tonight will be my last. The appetizer soup was very tasty but (after multiple attempts to get the waitress' attention) needed to get sent back because it was cold. Our dinner, fish tacos and a veggie wrap, came out and the wrap and side of rice also needed to be sent back because it was cold as well. When my guest picked up third taco to eat it, the outside tortilla felt as if it came right out of the refrigerator. Toward the end of the meal, another table had been walking their baby around the main dining area. An employee, who turned out to be the manager, began to yell and play with the baby a table away from us. He then got on the floor to roll trucks and fire engines with the baby. Not a pleasant or peaceful dining experience. When we complained to the waitress about the food and disruptive atmosphere, the manager came over. He had no interest in fixing anything. He was defensive over the food and told us "we like kids here so maybe this isn't the place for you." While all the food was tasty, but cold customers should not be treated like that. I have no interest in giving this place my business again. read more

First time with the new owners. I originally was planning on a burger, but a plain burger (although it does come with fries, regular or sweet) was $10. Add $1 for cheese and $2 for anything else and your burger can quickly become $15 or more. Uh, no thanks. Then I spied Fish Tacos, another family favorite. They were $22. I finally ended up with a Kickin' Chicken Sandwich while my daughter had an iceberg wedge salad. We also split the Pig Skins appy. Good, but if my daughter didn't tell me there was pulled pork in them, I never would have known. We sat at a high top in the bar. Our waiter (the bartender) never came over to ask how our food was, but otherwise was attentive and usually available. Final words, too expensive for what I would normally expect from a pub. I'm going with 3 stars, but I can't see myself becoming a regular here. read more

We came here Saturday afternoon after hiking around Bear Mountain for a late lunch. The wings are AWESOME...not full of heavy breading and they are crispy! Our waitress was awesome, super friendly and she let me know they can customize the spiciness of your wings, even if it says hot (3 alarm) on the menu. I'm a spice wimp so I opted for the ranch wings with medium sauce. Apparently it's a pretty big jump in the spiciness level from medium to 3 alarm, but our waitress said I can always ask for the wings Medium with 3 alarnm sauce on the side. They get their desserts from Dream Cakes bakery right down the road and they're delicious! We split the pecan pie and ugh, so good. Not overly sweet and the crust was good as well (and I am NOT a crust person at all). Hubby got a burger and subbed in mac & cheese in place of the fries. Now I really enjoy their mac, but he wasn't overly impressed with it. That's okay...more for me! Their wings are really big and I only ended up finishing 5 of them (10 to an order). Prices are very reasonable and you won't leave hungry, that's for sure! Also, they now deliver...holler! read more

Came here for draaaanks and eatssss with Kate K. - Tons of tv's, large bar area, and large dining area. - Happy-go-lucky waitress was very accomodating and entertaining. - The pork sliders where ginourmous and so savory. The pig skins also had pulled pork in them, bonus, baby. ** You HAVE to try the redic deeeeelish WINGS up in hea. They have tons of flavors and DRY RUBBED wings...DRY RUBBED. ** (We kill't the dry rubbed ranch and dry rubbed jerk wings). Since my family moved up to Westchester in 2001 we've been big fans of the Firehouse Grille, and so we are overjoyed that it has reopened and seems to be better than ever! So far I've had the steak sandwich with swiss cheese melted on top. This is not your typical steak-um sandwich, though. It is a full, 8oz sirloin steak merely perched on top of bread, swimming in its own juices, and perfectly tender so you can just pick it up and eat it--no knife necessary! Additionally, the side salad I had with my sandwich was surprisingly big, had a variety of lettuce and vegetables, and made me feel like I was counteracting whatever artery clogging I had just done. WIN. My boyfriend got a half rack of ribs and we were amazed at the juiciness and texture, as well as the wonderful tangy flavor they had. To boot, they give you cole slaw that is perfectly vinegary, and mini corn muffins that are warm and sweet. Really, you can't go wrong with whatever you order, though their pulled pork could use a spicier sauce in my opinion. Overall, I am excited to go back and try more of their new beer and food menus, welcome back, NYFG! read more

Went to catch up with a friend, they have every kind of fries, which in my book is a 10/10 :)

WAAAAAAAAAY OVER PRICED! A burger which would cost $8-11 at a place like Squires who makes a much better burger yet NYFG charges $15+ for it. I commend them for giving a discount to firefighter -- those who deserve it -- but all they get is the food for only slightly higher prices then what it should be while the rest of us pay 35% higher prices to subsidize the same The food we had was all good, but not one bit of it was anything special. The wings were better then the nearby Peekskill-brewery, but that really isn't saying very much.... read more

I had a pleasant lunch there. Very professional staff, good brisket (for a Yankee establishment).

This is really bad. Whoever wrote the menu and whoever cooks the food do not communicate. We expected eatable food especially since we ordered from the specials. First clue, the look on the bartenders face when I went to get a clean wine glass - he didn't see the dirt, gave me a semi hard time and gave me a new glass that he sarcastically wiped with a dirty rag. My wife was sure it was the same glass. The staff was helpful, but the food didn't even come close to the menu description. I ordered the special beef sandwich "piled high with beef and dripping with au jus sauce". It was totally dry, I asked for more sauce and was given enough jus to dip one half of the sandwich. My wife ordered fried chicken with white gravy (another special). From the menu description she was expecting succulent pieces and was served fried flattened chicken cutlets with some sort of cheese sauce (hope it was wrong sauce, because if that was white gravy, it had gone bad weeks ago). The staff was very helpful but overworked with two tables in the dining room. THIS IS A PLACE TO DRINK AND USE THEIR FOOD TO SOP UP THE ALCOHOL BEFORE YOU DRIVE HOME. The drinks were cheap. read more

Got a "chx" sandwich for $11 it was two thin ass slices that had grissle in it. Sweet Potato fries were ok. Got it wrapped and just left it there.Waitress sucked from the get go. Asked about burgers and beer special was a bitch about that. Then the Beers were watered down. No wonde$3 drafts. Had $5 off coupon was nitpicking everything for us not to use it, could have easily made an attempt. Not like you were busy, you only had two tables. Left you a Shit tip(0.00000000)cuz this waitress, April c just sucked. Live down the street. Never coming back. Keep the fukn coupon....has a promotion for free dessert when leaving a review. NY Firehouse Grille - Never in my life have I ever givn less then 15% I work in the kitchen. But this waitress was just horrible. And didn't even deserve this. - American Near Me - Peekskill, New York

Staff are friendly and fun, Alex and Eddie as owners are entertaining guys, Troy the bartender is a good guy and can handle all creative orders with wit and good turn around time. When Adam Lakis is in the kitchen the food is lip smackingly good. 5 Stars for a fun atmosphere, great food, good company, and winning me over after a few so-so experiences at first until warming up to the place and getting to love it. Their wings are #1 in the area! Not entirely family friendly but who brings their family to a bar to begin with, their intended crowd is 25-45. read more

The worse wings and meatloaf I have ever had.17.95 for shitty meatloaf, even if it were great meatloaf it is still meatloaf. Wings were overcooked dried out wings like we used to make at brodies.the sauce was straight franks or similair,no butter,no seasoning,boring....our table also had the ribs sauced,a saving grace I thought they needed a little more smoke.they were tender and juicy.and only 3 bucks more then meatloaf!ok 4. deserts were ehhhh. will i go back and try the burgers.......nope.wont be back here ever. The staff was great, friendly attentive etc. the place was busy,I just do not get it? perhaps location?people from verplank and buchannen have no place other then fulgums to go? read more

Wings here are fantastic. They have so many different choices to choose from. Make sure you go on Monday nights, 35 cent wings, a deal you cannot beat. They have wings with all different sauces and ones with dry rubs. Really good, you won't be disappointed. They also have other things on the menu and every night they have a special for something, whether it's food or drinks. Enjoy! read more

We liked the varm bites very much, and the burger was perfectly cooked. The brisket sandwich was also good, nicely tender but maybe a tad too sweet. The wings were wings. Service was pleasant and the owner seemed like a good chap. The outdoor seating drew us here and we will be back. The menu seemed quite interesting. read more

All the wings are great. Anything after 2 alarm is pretty hot. Order the Cubano whenever it's on the menu. They switch up the specials a lot and keep you on your toes. All their food is good. TRY THE S'MORES DESSERT!!! You're welcome. Staff is great and always treat me like family. read more

Service was good. Kind of one of those hole in the wall places people are scared to try. But food was great. Came out pretty quickly. NY Firehouse Grille - Jummy fries - American Near Me - Peekskill, New York

We always have a good time here, the wait staff is very consistent. It's a solid burger and wing joint even though I do wish they'd have a few more craft beers available on tap but I can't blame them for taking the kick back from Budweiser. I do go here frequently and always have a decent meal and a good time. If you're looking for some good bar food the. This is a good choice and if you're in the mood for wings do yourself a favor and order them with the Wyatt Earp sauce you'll be happy you did. read more

First time here was ok, extremely cool staff, mediocre BBQ. Second time around I went for the wings, which were pretty good (lots of flavor selections), and a wedge salad. The lettuce was rotten, and inedible. My mom got their prime rib special which was tough and flavorless. I probably will return for wings and beer, the folks who work there almost completely redeem the food. Stick to wings. read more

From the exterior you might write it off as a divey biker bar, but once inside and greeted by the amazing staff, you'll see that it's anything but. I've been here quite a few times with the family (my 3yr old loves the fire trucks and police cars decorating the dining room) and while I do enjoy many of the special sandwiches and burgers offered, their wings are probably the best in the area. The traditional, bone in style is cooked and sauced perfectly to give you all of the flavor with a bit of crunch. The sauce options are insane and you have plenty to choose from. You can even mix sauces and create your own. I recommend the honey mustard but that's just me. My only criticism would be to offer a portion smaller than 10 since sometimes you just want a few wings to go with your burger/sandwich. Other than that I'd say give it a shot and judge for yourself. read more

First, the decor in this restaurant is extremely dated and everything is dirty. I can't say the service is bad as we got no service. We were greeted by a very unfriendly young woman who turned out to also be the bartender and the waitress. She came to our table and put down two menus without looking at us or saying anything, including asking us if we wanted a drink. She then went back to the bar to talk with a man who appeared to be her boyfriend. She stood and talked with him for a while and we finally left. Based on our overall experience I'm sure the food is horrible The place was almost completely empty at lunchtime on a Saturday so it looks like others have had the same experience. Wish I could give negative stars. read more

My wife and I ordered take-out through GrubHub. The order came fairly quickly, well packaged, and warm. We were excited and prepared to enjoy some barbecue as this place is local so we thought we would try it from what we heard through word of mouth. First of all, we ordered mild hot wings and received dry rub wings that tasted like they were a week old and fried in even older oil. The second item was pulled pork that also tasted old and reheated, not fresh, and not appetizing. The best part of the meal was the chocolate chip cookies and even they were just average. The food ended up in the trash. For $42.00, this was a big disappointment and we will not be ordering from them anymore. read more

Went last night after not being there for a year since it was very mediocre then. Figure we would try again. Fish and chips...ok, bit greasy on the fish. My 1/2 rack rib inedible dried on one end, so so in the middle...if ribs are a specialty here this half rack should not have made it out of the kitchen to be served. It felt and tasted like they could have been yesterdays ribs reheated. Serve people were nice, fries are good. Doubt I will be back read more

Good food and friendly service. Usually a pretty good place to watch a football game. I'd avoid the wings... Just watery sauce poured over wings... They dry out before you're done. The rest of the food is decent. read more

Stopped in on Sunday night for the first time. I sat at the bar, and the bartender immediately greeted me, and gave me a menu. Not pushy, but attentive and friendly service. Sitting at the bar the TV's were tuned to football and all the staff had on their favorite team t shirts. This being my first time, I ordered only a burger . It arrived quickly, and to order. It was juicy and a nice size. The side salad was real green arugula and romaine, red onion, tomato and Greek olives. For $9.95 it was a bargain. While I was there the cook brought out a fresh mozzarella and tomato appetizer to a regular patron. It looked delicious. My only gripe is that have shock top on tap, but it seems a lot of people like it. Overall very positive experience, hopefully will come back read more

Great, great wings - they actually know how to make them spicy (I've worked my way up to Hazmat). The other wing flavors are also very tasty and varied (who would have ever thought of PB&J wings).
