    We've hired JCo twice for work on our mini split system. I didn't do much shopping around the first…read moretime and we had a positive experience so I just went to them again recently. From what I've heard, their rates are comparable or better than other businesses. The one issue I have with JCo is their scheduler. I'm not sure if it was the same woman this year as it was last summer, but each time I've called to make an appointment, I have been very specific on what we need done. Each time, the service was set for the wrong thing (basic maintenance when it wasn't that) and so when the tech shows up they weren't prepared for what needed to be done and/or not enough time was scheduled for our appointments. On our most recent appointment, the tech was noticeably irritated about it and commented something that led us to believe this wasn't the first time it had happened... If I was rating on the techs alone, I wouldn't hesitate for give 5 stars all the way! They are always on time, respectful, and even with the scheduling hiccups have been able make it work and get our service done. The last guy made multiple trips back to our house in the same day in between his other jobs just to get it done.

    So many issues with their installation. We had them install a unit and have issues all the time…read morewith it. It is under warranty, and when something goes wrong, they are in no hurry to find the parts. We had to chase them down to get them to honor the warranty, and they were unconcerned about leaving us without heat for 6-7 weeks in January. Now we have a new issue come up and they said it's only with one of the heads. And, as long as the back unit stays off, we should be able to have A/C until the new part comes again (who knows how long that will be given last time it was over a month). Two hours after they left, unit stopped working again. Another season where JCO leaves us hanging without a working unit. Quality of new install, customer service, and diagnostics have all been unsatisfactory. Update: JCO diagnosed the issue during their visit as requiring a new PCB. I ran the self-correction for the wiring on the unit myself and the issue was rectified. So, the issue was related to them miswiring things at the last maintenance fix, and then misdiagnosing the issue at their latest visit. It's also convenient that their diagnosis would have required us to pay them for additional maintenance.

In both cases we were very satisfied with their quotes. They completed the jobs quickly and even offered to come back later to add ducting on a room that needed to be finished. We wanted to add heat to the second floor, which had no ducts going it. Their estimator helped walk us through our options, including ways we could add the ducting while keeping it hidden. The communication of their customer service team is friendly and helpful, and they were good about reminding us of upcoming work. Both projects required an electrician, who they contracted with and took care of. Their follow-up has been excellent. And most important, the heating system works as designed. We are very happy and would recommend Marshall's to anybody.

In that time they replaced one heat pump and installed a second pump. The service department is the weak link in this company. Phone calls to make an appointment with the service department can go unanswered for hours. Leaving your phone number with a message to call back is futile. This problem has persisted for years and does not get better. Pointing out that problem doesn't change anything. Even to the service manager. The only bright spot of this department has been the technician Jeff Allen who has been great. He is an asset to this company. I can no longer recommend this company.
