Decided to update my review and add a star based on the fact I've been here 3x in the last week and have made other observations which i think merit it. Weekday at 8pm, had a few other people doing laundry but i didnt have to wait for any machines. Parking was rough i illegally parked or you can park at walgreens and buy something and sneak over to do laundry. Weekday morning at 8am, i lucked out and got parking in front no wait for machines it was empty. HOWEVER..they started to fill the machines with laundry from Korean Airlines by the time my load was done at 845am majority of the machines were taken. Dont go here after 830am weekday it will be hard to get a machine. Weekday at 530pm got parking and had no problem getting a machine it was empty. I didnt get yelled at by a Korean lady thank god i think its the owners mother who is doing that:( they need to keep her in check or will continue to get bad reviews. They hired a polynesian lady and I've seen her cleaning up, emptying lint screens, sweeping etc.. So i think thats great. I didnt see any unfavorable people the 3 times i was there, just honest people doing their laundry. Hopefully my washing machine will continue to work but if it breaks ill be back;)

not busy tonight

I've been a regular customer here for quite some time and i like that this laundromat stays open 24 hours. Their prices is reasonable. The coin exchange machine is located on the service side mauka of the place. They offer laundry services during the day, i have tried it only once but they were good. The owner is one funny lady i'll tell that and if you're here when she is, you should listen to her crack jokes. There's a few homeless people that hangs around here at night. Some of them would use the washers too.

Came here to wash my duvet in the commercial washer dryers. The pros of this laundromat is that it is 24hrs, conveniently located on Nuuanu ave and offer wash/fold services for drop off and pickup. The prices are comparable to some other laundromats (a couple cents cheaper too). There are security surveillance cameras setup that help monitor the place because it is open at all hours and the owners keep the spot well lit. A negative is the parking situation-There are only a few spots located right in front and street parking along Nuuanu Ave. They do offer 2 quarter machines if you need to make change. The waiting game: Most patrons load their washes and wait in their vehicles until it's done. If you're feeling hungry Sams and Bankok Chef are located next door. Overall, the wash and drying times don't take too long if you have something to keep yourself busy. I was in-and-out in about an hour.

Our hotel did not have laundry facilities so we sent our laundry off to Tama and it all came back clean, fresh, and neatly folded. I really appreciated how the underwear and socks were bagged separately. You can pick what detergent you want and they can accommodate for allergies. The turnaround time is defaulted to 48 hours, but I called and Brian was so friendly in changing our order to rush service along with explaining how pickup and drop off works. Got all our clothes back in 24 hours. We left our bag with the bell desk and did not have to wait around for the pick up/drop off. The online interface was extremely easy to use. Of course you are paying a premium above using a laundromat, but it is worth it while on vacation and for hassle-free service.

While the household recovered we for the first time used a laundry service and I'm so glad we decided to give Tama a try. Service is great and on time with up to moment tracking with pick up and delivery. I wish they had a self drop off option since times offered for my area were a bit inconvenient. Clothing was well cleaned, smelled wonderful, and perfectly folded. At this price point for us it is a bit of a luxury but such a lovely one I'm sure we will wind up using them again.

I went to get a new laundry card from the machine but nothing came out after paying. A woman walked in and helped another customer that had the same problem before me. The other customer had told me the same thing happened to him. Nothing was said to me from the staff about it, I ended up pressing the help button on the window and asked the woman after trying the second machine to get a laundry card and getting an error. She said it was because it was a duplicate request. Once the woman gave me a laundry card after messing with the machine and confirming I had paid, I recommended they put a sign on the machine saying that it may have issues with dispensing a new laundry card. She rudely responded that it just happened and that she just got there. She could have simply just said, "Thank you, apologize for the trouble" or something like that instead of giving me attitude. When I went to use the dryer machine, I couldn't figure out how to add more than the minimum time onto it, so I had to ask another customer and you need to swipe the laundry card again to add an additional 5 minutes onto the time. You need to repeat this process over and over again to reach the desired time, mine was about 40 minutes. Seems like a lot of process just to get my clothes dry. Sorry Kapahulu Xpress, you missed the mark this time and I don't believe I will return or recommend this business to others based on my experience. Hopefully this will be a lesson learned to help make the experience better for other customers.

I did deduct 1 star because there are still ADA issues. I use my wheelchair to carry my clothes in and then sit while being cleaned. Most of the dryers are not easily accessible unless I push tables out to get through. Today (4/12/26) while getting my clothes out their attendant pushes the table back blocking access out from the dryer until I had to push it back out. I do push them back out of courtesy but have seen others have issues getting into the dryers due to being on a walker, a came or in a chair. However, when it came time to clean our fairly large, handmade, patchwork blankets, I searched for a good, clean laundromat. I thought of Manoa Laundry because I used their facilities many years ago when I briefly lived in Manoa. Checking on Yelp, their average rating is 2.4 based on 103 reviews as I write this. However, I see that they recently changed ownership, and have several new machines and a new payment system, where credit cards can be tapped. This sounded like my kind of place, as I dislike withdrawing cash from the ATM and changing for quarters, which I had to do while we lived in the Ala Moana area. My wife and I brought two of our blankets to test clean. (We'll have an even thicker Korean one to clean later.) The facilities were as clean as described, and there were several machines to choose from when we arrived this morning. I did find it confusing trying to follow the step-by-step instructions on the 3x washer I put the blankets into. I was confused about how to scan my credit card. I asked the gentleman who was cleaning up there, and he showed me how to use the machine to load the laundry card, something I had never used before. I opted to register my card by inputting my name, phone number and email, since I planned on using their facilities again in the future. Later, I had to ask again about how to work the controls on the machine. After starting the washer, we went around the marketplace to find something to eat. When we returned, I walked over to check the washer and it was just finishing. So I knew enough by that time to work the dryer. We went to Safeway to pick up some groceries, and the dryer was done when we returned. (I received a text alert to that effect.) I wouldn't say we had a great experience, but it was a good one. And much better than any of the alternatives I knew or heard about. Of course, we will be back.
