As a child I remember my parents taking my brothers and me out of school and going to Cubs games early in the season and for opening day. We'd always stop at Nuts on Clark first and each of us got to pick out what we wanted to bring to the game. Years later, I still go a few blocks out of my way to get my stash before heading to a game but now I go more than on just game days. I can't get enough of the dark chocolate covered almonds! WAY better than any other packaged chocolate almonds. They almost have a faint coffee taste to them. They are the best I have ever had. Their cheese and caramel corn blend is way richer and more natural tasting than any of the local big names. My family in the burbs begs me to bring the stuff back to them. Run, do not walk to Nuts on Clark. But make sure you get there early. The odd hours of 9-4 Monday-Sunday can be slightly annoying but it's worth it!! read more

I was here on Saturday, out of town visitors wanted to stop here. I got a giant cookie and just ate it today (Tuesday). The sell by date says August 23 2013. I'm skeptical of any cookie lasting that long. This one was certainly dry when I ate it. I wonder when it was baked? I had to heat it up just to make it "soft" again. Honestly, if I lived in Wrigleyville, I would weigh 900 lbs because I would go to Nuts on Clark everyday. My dad wanted me to pick up some popcorn for him at this location, and was I in for a treat. All the popcorn is fresh, and the cheese and caramel mix is to die for. However, there is a slight difference depending on when you eat it. I ordered a bag for myself, which was freshly made right there. The melting sensation was a taste that I never experienced in a popcorn. However, if you are traveling with it, that sensation is gone. Not to say that it isn't good...the popcorn is still absolutely amazing. But it is much, much better if you eat it immediately after it is made. Again, simply the best! read more

OVERPRICED PRODUCTS, RUN DOWN STORE WITH RUDE STAFF. My bf and I drove by this store so many times envisioning a wonderland of various nuts and interesting goodies. We stopped by to check it out as we were looking for 80th bday gift for his, nut for nuts, dad. Instead what we found there was a mediocre assortment of run of the mill products (with emphases on popcorn) that can easily be found in other stores. Their no frills interior would lead you to believe, you can get a good deal but they are actually super overpriced. Anyway, we liked this nice big metal souvenir can with a Chi skyline that would be an awesome packaging for bags of nuts we just chose to buy. We asked for the price and they were not willing to sell us the can separately, because its only made for popcorn?!? We asked for a manager, while explaining why we would really like that can. The manager shows up all impatient and disturbed while on the phone arguing with somebody. She couldn't care less about customers in the store. She was really short and rude, saying loudly "NO, you can't buy it! ONLY WITH POPCORN!" And she walked off to the back of the store, cursing and yelling at staff about some other reason I believe. All in all, we had to buy $37 worth of popcorn just to get that can, plus all the nuts we were purchasing to put in it. Bill was over $70. It was our first time here and needless to say WE WONT BE COMING BACK NOR RECOMMEND IT TO ANYBODY. read more

I do baskets every Christmas and usually go to another place in the burbs, but I was close by so I stopped in. All I can say is Nuts on Clark is really nuts, as far as prices go. Please don't buy popcorn from Nuts on Clark. They advertise with, and support, the new video signboards around the city which are an eyesore, pollute unnecessarily, shine in residences windows, and are generally unpleasant. Garrett's popcorn is another option that is delicious. read more

My family stopped for this delicious treat during a layover at Chicago Midway. I've never tasted better popcorn in my life, and I'm a popcorn connoisseur! So thanks for that! But what drove me to write this review was (the lack of a length-appropriate contact form on your website, and) the over-the-top packaging our snack came in. Each of our three small bags of mixed corn came wrapped in: 1) a wax paper bag, inside 2) a decorative red plastic bag, stuffed inside 3) a branded white cardboard box. The three boxes were then placed inside 4) a giant canvas-paper shopping bag -- which was handed to us before we could stammer that the wax paper bag alone would have been just fine. Don't get me wrong, there are worse customer service issues than excessive packaging. I don't mean to complain, but simply to enter into a dialogue as a concerned consumer. I see on your website that you consider your business a leader in sustainable concessions. I applaud any effort in that direction -- but you must understand that your packaging scheme, at least at the Midway location, is the farthest possible thing from sustainable! For one family's quick snack between gates, three red plastic bags, three cardboard boxes, and one huge canvas bag went immediately into airport trash. It was unnecessary, cumbersome, and wasteful. I understand that elaborate packaging is often used as a marketing tool. You want to show that your product is more than just popcorn -- it is a hand-crafted, gourmet treat. If that's the case, then perhaps you can experiment with packaging that looks elaborate, but doesn't have as many extraneous parts. Simpler packaging would not only be more sustainable, but it would decrease lines at the Midway location, too. The employees were great but were clearly going through way too many steps to prepare each order. Thanks for reading! i just had the WORST customer service experience with this store. i placed an order online and instead of delivering it to the intended address in california they shipped it to my home address in chicago. when i called to try to correct the situation the woman on the phone was incredibly rude and told me she would do nothing. even though she admitted she gets calls like this all of the time, she refused to let me return the unopened package that was delivered to my home. she talked over me, mimicked me on the phone in a childlike voice and was down right rude. this was by far one of the worst customer service experiences i've ever had. what a joke! maybe they are better at their in person store but beware of ordering online!! read more

Ok popcorn, horrible customer service, and the most inconsiderate people when it comes to those that live in the neighborhood. They have a two car loading space in the front, but always block the alley in the rear of their store. I would suggest just getting popcorn out of the chip aisle in the grocery store. Disappointing. My husband usually treats me to Garrett's which I prefer both in taste and value. He ordered the caramel popcorn with cashews. The portion was more expensive and less amount compared to Garrett's. In the "Nuts on Clark" portion there were a total of five (5) cashews. Very disappointing.
