Love the various choices of chocolate flavors and combinations offered by hotel chocolat. Ample sitting room for a quick bite to eat/drink. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

Super cute spot! Went in when it was empty and the servers and staff were so courteous and nice. My daughters were trying to decide what chocolate to get and one of the servers opened up a packet just so she could try it before buying. The hot chocolate was perfect, not too sweet. They also had many different options. Can't wait to come back to try more!

Cool place and fun interior. First time I had something too chocolatey for me next time I think I'll get the hot chocolate just without the chocolate whip cream. The box chocolate wasn't bad either. I wish they had a tasting station or something to make it a little different than a normal chocolate shop.

The service was top notch at this location. I cannot say the same for the new downtown location. The dark chocolate hot chocolate lives up to expectations if you love dark chocolate. The inside was decorative and fit the theme for a cozy coffee shop. Super clean and nice workers.

We saw their segment on WGN yesterday and decided to check it out. So glad we did. Their beverages and ice cream are served up at fair prices, and the chocolate is outstanding. We were able to enjoy samples before making our final choices. There is plenty of seating, and the decor is fun. Everyone working was upbeat and engaging. I had their iced coffee, and it was tasty. Their chocolate gift boxes are priced at where one would expect. I look forward to a second visit there in the near future!

Store is pretty cool, not really a chocolate person but was just walking by and wanted to check it out. We did get an ice cream, it was decent but in my opinion nothing too special. I guess if you were a chocolate person I check it out if you're in the area

The chocolate is as good as its reputation! I love their chocolate wall, they make a perfect gift. Don't miss out on the soft serve treats! Staff were super helpful and this location has a warm and welcoming feel. Very cute decor!

Ambiance - super cool spot, love that they incorporate a cafe/chocolate store together, can't skip out on the chocolate tap dispenser Service - quick, received my hot chocolate within 10 min Food - hot chocolate was slightly thick & not too sweet, just wished the temperature of it was a bit hotter

Visited opening day. Having people outside with drink samples was an excellent way to let people know they opened. Tried the hot chocolate sample and it was delicious. Went inside to check out the interior and what else they had inside. Chocolate candy samples were delicious and I will be back to buy chocolates for gifts, etc. Tried the chocolate croissant and chocolate chip scone. The croissant was excellent with the right amount of chocolate. The scone was excellent as well and not dry as scones can tend to be. Staff were friendly and attentive.

The place itself is very chic and cool to look at. The service was fantastic, but their products weren't anything special. Their hot chocolate wasn't as good as it was made out to be. We did enjoy their boxed chocolates especially the trillionaire shortbread.

Love this unique chocolate place! Great location and warm clean and friendly atmosphere. There are all kinds of chocolates to choose from, as well as Ice cream, pastries, bread, coffee and drinking chocolates. There are comfy tables and chairs to sit and enjoy.

Ahh! This used to be Foxtrot. Remember that! This is the 153rd. location in the world and the first one in the U.S. They have locations in the U.K., St. Lucia, Gibraltar, and Ireland. I had the White Mocha drink, Drinking Chocolate and several chocolates. Their going to open another one in Lincoln Park this month, stay tune. P.S. I was the first one to review.

Came here for their grand opening, tried their drinking chocolates and assortment of chocolate flavors. Very unique and rich without being too sweet! Which is very to my liking plenty of seating and has a very unique interior, the staff here are very friendly and happy to introduce the drinks and products! I would want to try the white chocolate matcha next time

This comes in a set of 3 mini sizes. Staff was super accommodating and very patient with my decision paralysis of trying to choose flavors. They had great recommendations and our order was up quickly. Tried the hazelnut, semi sweet, and cardamom rose. Really enjoyed it! The marshmallows are also house made and were delish! Tried the truffle of the week, Baileys and they also had a line of brewery inspired flavors, so I tried the Clementine Cider. One also random star of the show is the well stocked washroom! Equipped with ample space, changing table, baby wipes, diapers, sanitary pads and tampons. Kudos for being well stocked for all the ladies and mamas out there! Can't wait to come back to try the other drinking chocolates!

We've tried the jasmine osmanthus, and as of 5/24/26 the most recent flavor is ube (and apparently still is at the time of this review according to their Instagram). All the flavors have been incredible so far and we always look forward to the next time we can go. Additionally, it's vegan so everyone can enjoy it! They have been known to run out though, so get there early if you can. They also have beautifully decorated bonbons, caramels, and chocolates, all with some really unique flavors I haven't seen anywhere else - check out the pictures to see some of them! I'd feel guilty eating the bonbons because they're so elegant, but they would make a fantastic gift. They make their matcha lattes using matcha powder that they also sell, and you can actually choose which matcha powder you want to try based on its profile. They have a chart that shows the matcha choices and their descriptions; I'll try to grab a picture of and post here the next time we go which will hopefully be soon, but someone may have already posted it. It's a small place so it can get busy and crowded quickly, especially since they're only open on the weekends. Everyone has been so nice and helpful whenever we go though, despite how busy they get! Can't wait until our next visit!

I had a lovely strawberry Belgian waffle and a Marocchino Caldo. Good to the last drop. I noticed many people ordering crepes and croissants. There's just so much here. Robert always walks out with macarons that he snacks on throughout the day. So even the health wise has his days. I chose the Chocolate Raspberry Bombe and don't regret it! Our service was terrific. I got a dark chocolate with orange, with fresh hand-whipped cream. Yummmm. I brought some little chocolate truffles home and their flavor selection was fantastic - think Bergamot Caramel, Strawberry Balsamic, Sesame Nougat...it was impossible to choose. Only regret is that I wasn't there for a full meal. The crepes and waffles sound incredible. Gotta make my way back soon!

My favorite, along with many others, is the iced banana bread latte. Definitely get it with the vanilla cinnamon cold foam! The staff for the most part have been very warm and friendly. If it's busy, they are less likely to want to chat about the options and give a recommendation, so come in with a few ideas of what you're looking for if you come on a weekend! She recommended a Bolognese Danish, a Dubai pistachio brownie, and I added an everything bagel and took it all to go. The Danish was by far my favorite. The pastry was flaky, heavenly, and the filling rich and meaty. This is a pastry worth crossing town for. The brownie was fine, but maybe I'm over the Dubai chocolate trend. It didn't really come together as a unified dessert for me. I wanted the brownie to be richer, fudgier, maybe even a bit sweeter. I would probably get something else next time. The everything bagel was a good texture, but the fennel seeds in the seasoning took me so far away from the classic "everything." They overpowered the other flavors, but the texture was fantastic. Overall, I enjoyed the treats I got, would go back to try some other options. I would probably give this 3.5 stars, but I'm rounding up. Also want to add how much I miss Hot Chocolate!
