My King and I are known as King and Queen. We are a people of substance and positive virtue. Like a rose growing in the midst of a broken concrete Nutritious Alternatives gave us the hope that we didn't know was possible. We were greeted with so much love and positivity that it warmed our souls. I don't know if positivity matters to you all but it's EVERYTHING to us!!! When someone takes the time to look into your eyes and serve you what is ultimately going to nourish your being then you should hold onto it like a gem. The first time we came we had one of the vegetable drinks a piece. They were prepared right in front of us from only the freshest ingredients. While we sipped and admired the beautiful layout of the restaurant we ordered from the daily menu. My King had the oxtails, macaroni and cheese, and collard greens. I had the baked chicken, macaroni and cheese, and cabbage. The food was fresh and made to order! To top off the meal you are given a very giving brick of corn bread! We left with smiles from ear to ear. In fact, we make it out business to eat at Nutritious Alternatives twice every week. We typically cook out own food but we can trust their ingredients and positivity. We can only hope that before you spend your money on gmo processed foods you will come by and have a meal that you will make you proud. read more

Nutritious Alternatives is the place!!! The place for great food,  fresh fruit, alkaline water, incredible smoothies, and the juices....  fresh, delicious,and made in the spirit of love!!! The name says a lot about the philosophy of the service that is given by the owner.  Tim is extremely knowledgeable about what nature gives us and how our nutritional intake can correct so many of our illnesses. The evidence is in the pudding... or I should say the smoothie, the juice, and the essentials.  As a nurse of 25 years, I am so impressed with the alternatives that are available to taking medications. It is almost unheard of a person being prescribed just one medication because the first medication often leads to taking another medication for the side effects of the first. It's been quite a journey and experience at Nutritious Alternatives. I have changed the way I approach my health and taking care of my body. And on those special days.... mom has a plate of turkey wings with my name on them right here! I guess you can say I kinda love this place ... it's been a game changer for me. read more

I was close by working and in need of some vegan/healthy food and I found this on yelp. Right in a historic part of Augusta is this little gem with a boatload of love hidden inside. I met Tim, Demetrius, and Vic who were all welcoming and ready to share what they've been brewing up. The atmosphere was marvelous. As each client rolled in, the guys made it a home style environment and I ended up having full blown conversations with other visitors. We talked about how we appreciate this spot in a town where it's difficult to find satisfying and fulfilling food for the soul. While we were sitting and eating, we were offered samples of all of the smoothies left over in the blender. We were offered samples of new foods they wanted to try out and tempt us to make sure to revisit. I had the black bean burger, yam fries, ratatouille, and a tall glass of alkaline water, which they had plenty of ready and available. This is one of my favorite places in Augusta for healthy food options, plus the atmosphere is dope! read more

Life changing food! Nutritious Alternatives is a place where you can get food that will literally change your life. It's great to have this place in the community. Everyone could use some Nutritious Alternatives, but when they're available. They day I visited they weren't making any of the "All Vegetarian" meals because the stove was broken. So, I opted for a smoothie instead. Luckily, they have a vast selection of smoothies and vegetable drinks. The menu has about 38 choices. I chose the " Island Mix" with strawberry , banana, agave, flaxseed, almond milk or apple juice They have a dine in area to accommodate about 10 people. I'd choose to get my food to-go. It took about 20 minutes for my vegetable drink. It's was obviously fresh and made with love, hence the time. I'd love to return to try " Vegetarian Meals advertised, but I'll call ahead to make sure it's available. read more

What can't I say about nutritious alternatives? When I tell you GOD directed my steps, he definitely sent me here. The day I found it I had been to Tropical smoothies cafe, because I had recently changed my diet. Mr. Tim is heaven sent, a regular Dr. Sebi. Not only does he have 38 options, he will also allows you to experiment with the options he has. It's not a question you can't have answered. I have been going every day and it truly makes me feel great. Nutritious alternatives is definitely a home away from home. Alkaline water is on deck while you wait, can you name another spot who serves free alkaline water while u wait? Though I have yet to try the Vegan bar, or the Hawaiian or Creole chickens my family loves the Food, and the corn bread is mouth watering. It was such a joy to find a juice bar near my house Glad I didn't have to travel far. I just love the all natural variety of juices made fresh always and made with pleasure. Tim is just fabulous he showed me some pretty neat stuff about the body's need to maintain health and proper nutrition. I just recently started eating this new salad I call it the Tim special. I must admit juicing daily makes me feel energized and having a sense of being and feeling healthy. The team there are so friendly and caring I just love hanging out there. Sometimes when I go to Uber I sit at the bar and enjoy the Tim's school of treating your body the way God intended. So I came back because my nephew has a lot of congestion in his chest that he can't cough up so he ends up throwing it up instead I feel so bad for him and can't stand giving him suppressants so I brought him to Mr. T and he suggested the cold buster since it would knock right out of him but when I mentioned the taste he agreed my nephew may not drink it. To substitute taste but still get what he needed, we went with the peach and oatmeal and Mr. T added supplements to loosen the mucus... Needless to say it put my nephew to sleep and he coughed only once after and none after that and he felt a lot better, did I mention he drunk a large? I just started going here. This is my second time going here. Each time I was able to try a smoothie that was made before I got there. They are good and healthy. I tried the Green Machine. It's an acquired taste, but when you see what all comes in it you want to drink more of it because it is really healthy for you. Ask Tim! I ordered Somewhere On The Beach. Delicious! Amazing! Everything about my visits have been great. The staff are courteous, helpful, and friendly. The food options were varied and delicious. The smoothie selection is varied and have the perfect blend of flavors. It's now one of my favorite places to visit when I have days off work. I love this place. They offer great customer service by answering all of your questions and being so polite. Eating more healthy can be intimidating this place makes healthy foods taste GOOD. I'm so excited about finding this new vegetarian restaurant and juice bar! I had the vegetarian meatloaf and it was PROFOUND! None of that gritty texture you get from other vegetarian meat loafs.
