    Keto Salad

This place was recommended by hotel staff for sandwiches and salads. I got the keto salad and it was delicious. I was greeted upon entering, ordered, and received my salad quickly. Employees are very friendly, and helpful. Parking is available on the sides and rear of the building.

Delicious 1/2 Muffuletta and tasty but bland looking pasta salad.

This wonderful joint has been rated 4.5 stars for years and they deserve it! I was blowing through Sebring and wanted a lighter lunch, and this is just the place. They are a panini/sandwich/salad place along with some delicious cupcakes. Everything they possibly can is fresh cooked/baked. There are no burgers, and they don't have a fryer. This is about as far away from fast food as you can get! Atmosphere- An eclectic mix of mismatched tables and chairs. I think about ten tables overall. This is a very casual place. Service- They are legendary for their fresh food and also legendary for being slightly understaffed. It takes a while for the food to come out of the kitchen. I wouldn't go here if I were in a hurry, but the food is worth the wait. You order at the register and they bring the food to your table. My very friendly server was simply fine and shared that she was only seventeen. They cash you out at the table electronically. Food- I ordered the one half Muffuletta Sandwich which comes with one side, so I went with pasta salad. That goes for $6.99 and it a very fair price. My sandwich was awesome, and the focaccia bread was terrific. The Olive Salad on the sandwich was unbelievably good. The pasta salad was very tasty, but they need to work on the presentation. In needs some color. From past visits, I don't remember it always being that way. I was full but I'll say again that the cupcakes are killer good here. So much better than fast food and worth a stop if you are blowing down Rout 27 southbound.

Nice little cafe, the food was good and reasonably priced. I'm glad we found it & will definitely go back again.

I always love it when a new restaurant opens in my Highlands County and this place debuted in…read moreNovember. It's a little off the beaten path for me and I'm a lazy ass so it took me until this weekend to get there! Arriving- It's in the clubhouse of the North Golf Course in the Highland's Ridge Community. Follow the signs for that clubhouse or let your GPS do the work. If you are familiar with the area, it was formally The Tavern. Ambience- So this is what a lot of folks would call a Country Club restaurant. As I had patronized the old tenants, I was curious how they were going to transform it into an Irish Pub. The answer is they didn't! It looks nothing like and Irish Pub. It's a large space with lots of natural light and traditional furniture. It has lots of outside seating that's covered with ceiling fans and many seats have a nice view! There is a very small bar that seats about six. In short, it looks like a Country Club restaurant. So much for pub ambience! Customer Service- Awesome, maybe seven stars! I had substantial interactions with the manager, bartender, and a server. All were exceptional. Adult Libations- Definitely not a pub style bar. It's a full bar with just a few taps but nothing special. Food- Like the ambience, it's an American menu with a couple of Irish dishes. There's Bangers & Mash and Shepard's Pie. Other than that, they throw in a couple of Irish terms to deceive you but it's really an American menu. There're enough choices to satisfy most folks. See their website. I ordered Irish Brisket Flatbread- Brisket, bacon, caramelized onions, diced tomatoes, BBQ sauce, mozzarella cheese @ $13. It was out in good time and plated very nicely. Plenty of food for the price so good value. The flatbread was nicely crisp. I love caramelized onions and that's the base here. Everything was very fresh. Plenty of brisket. Unfortunately, the onions overpowered the other ingredients, so the flavors were not balanced. It was tasty but needed a little work to be a winner. Conclusion- If you're looking for an Irish Pub, you're in the wrong place. If you're looking for an American menu that has some potential with a great staff and beautiful outside seating, give it a try. As they are new and the staff is awesome combined with the outside seating, I'm going to be a little charitable and say four stars!

The decor is classic 50s roadside diner with old license plates on the wall, an old pickup truck outside and a TV on ESPN by my table. The menu is classic Americana / diner fare with a southern touch. I'd been on an empty stomach through my 3 hour drive and meetings, so by the time I sat down to eat, I almost would have even eaten the paper the menu was written on :) Since it was a little bit on the chilly side, I started with their hearty cup of baked potato soup, deliciously loaded with cheese & bacon bits in a stew. Their warm, buttery and fluffy rolls topped with cinnamon butter were worth every single gram of carbs and almost functioned as a dessert themselves. Then came my yummy main dish, a roasted half chicken with just the right amount of skin and garnished with a smoky barbecue sauce. It was a sizable bird, taking up a nice bit of plate real estate, though leaving just enough room for a warm and topped with butter sweet potato. Needless to say, I still had room for dessert, and enjoyed their Keylime pie. Mal, my waitress, was very pleasant and I didn't have to wait for soda refills. Plating was also on time. I noticed they also had a Valentine's Day local special. It seems like this is a happening place in Sebring and I'd stop by next time I'm in the area.

This place popped up on Google with great reviews and looked legit, so we stopped in. The place was packed, but for just the two of us we were seated very quickly. Inside and outside both looked great. Clean everywhere--including the bathroom, which matters more than people admit. The two young ladies hosting were very friendly and even took a minute to ask about the race after noticing our Spartan shirts. Small thing, but it stood out. Our waitress was excellent--fast, attentive, and on top of everything without hovering. We started with onion rings. Very good. The dipping sauce was outstanding. I had the half roasted chicken with a sweet potato and fries. Fries were seasoned perfectly. The sweet potato was cooked exactly right, and the honey butter they serve with it is a great touch. My buddy got a rib combo and had zero complaints. Two meals and an appetizer for about $50, no alcohol. Worth every dollar. For the locals: you're lucky to have a place this solid. We'll absolutely be back next time we're in the area for a Spartan.

Wines from all around the world. Their list rivals the finest Miami restaurants. I started with a Green Goddess Wedge Salad. The Green Goddess dressing was delicious. It was a nice change from the standard blue cheese wedge dressing. My entree was the Suprema Christina, a classic from 1992. It's a tender chicken breast pan sautéed with mushrooms in a sherry lobster sauce. It came with two jumbo Key West shrimp and linguini pasta. The side green beans were pan seared and nicely wrinkled. The whole dish was an A+. I also enjoyed a nice Justin Cabernet Sauvignon. This restaurant and hotel are nicely positioned near the water. The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. I highly recommend visiting this great establishment.

Chicanes Promises Upscale Dining but Delivers an Uneven Experience…read more Chicanes carries itself like an upscale dining room, which is why the night's missteps stood out more than they should have. The evening began on a sour note, and not because of anything on the plate. A heavy downpour had turned the entrance into a shallow lake with slick footing, the kind that makes every step feel unsure. My husband took a hard fall, wrenching his back and bruising his hip. Another guest later mentioned the same slick approach, which tells me this is more than bad luck. For a restaurant that draws an older crowd, safety at the door should not be an afterthought. Inside, the welcome was much warmer. The staff was friendly and our server Ethan handled the holiday rush with calm attention. He stayed present without hovering and made sure we had what we needed. If only the kitchen had matched his level of care. The Thanksgiving menu looked promising, but the execution never quite reached the level the price tag promised. The lobster arrived overcooked and clinging stubbornly to its shell. The sauce meant to lift it fell flat. The butternut squash bisque was pleasant enough, though short on depth. The apple walnut salad was a clear winner. Crisp, balanced, and bright. It deserves a permanent spot on the menu. The entrées continued the theme of missed opportunities. The vegetables needed seasoning, especially the Brussels sprouts, which tasted like they had skipped the last step before leaving the kitchen. The potatoes au gratin stole the show, rich and comforting, which only highlighted how muted everything else tasted. For a meal tipping the scale at around $140, the food should meet the standard the setting implies. Chicanes has the bones of a great restaurant. The staff is strong, the room is inviting, and the menu choices read well. But the flavors need more care, more confidence, and more seasoning. A place aiming for an upscale experience has to deliver more than ambiance. There is potential here, but potential is not enough at this price. With steadier footing at the entrance and sharper execution in the kitchen, Chicanes could be worth the splurge. Tonight, it wasn't.
