Found this place on Yelp when in the area & needing lunch. We had a grilled sandwich and a cupcake. Both were excellent! The sandwich was really tasty and good sized. The side salad was larger and more interesting than what you usually get. The cupcake was really amazing with good flavor and very moist cake! As others have mentioned there seemed to be only 2 people working, but as it wasn't too busy when I was there it wasn't a problem. No longer than you would wait anywhere. read more

Paninis were great. That's important to note. Salads were passable if uninspired. There are some real problems here though and good food isn't going to save this place. One person on the counter? Taking orders, taking the money, serving cupcakes, answering the phone, serving ice cream, delivering orders.......too much for one person to do, service is suffering and customers are fickle folk. One person in the kitchen? Again, understaffed, customers waiting tooooooo long!! No music? WTH? Dead quiet, not a pleasant atmosphere at all. No napkins? We had to ask, put them on the tables. 1st time. Very slow. Took 54 mins for my panini and smoothie. Food was good and made fresh. Employee working apologized several times and was nice. It has a slight off smell which I think it's because of the age of the building. You can't do anything about that but if it bothers you they do have outdoor covered seating though. I was passing through Sebring and wanted to try a local restaurant for lunch. Nutmegs had great reviews. The outside isn't much to look at, and the inside is a work in progress, but understandable, it's new and decor cost money, but who cares when the food is good. The restaurant offers homemade soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. I loved the creative combination of ingredients, not the same old boring sandwiches. We had the Louisiana muffeletta, thanksgiving turkey and the Ruben. For sides we had pasta salad, beet salad and pea salad. Not sides you find everyday. For dessert homemade peanut butter balls (buckeyes) and a blueberry cupcake. I wish Nutmegs was closer, so many items I wanted to try. I am a cupcake connoisseur. My daughter and I were staying at the Harder Hall Villas this week from out of town and stopped here to pick up some cupcakes. We got the German Chocolate, Strawberry with Jolly Rancher sprinkles, Lemonade/Strawberry -- which I tried and my daughter also got the Snickerdoodle. The ones I had were uniformly moist with delicious flavor in the cake. The icings were buttercream-- the original kind before places cheapened up their frosting. The German Chocolate had coconut and nuts sprinkled on the frosting. These were 5 star cupcakes. If we are ever in Sebring again, we're coming back for these. Cute place, kind of funky and fun. We had sandwiches- grilled cheese panini with potato salad (this was a fine, average sandwich with tasty salad) and a tuna melt panini with beet salad (good sandwich with a tasty, unique salad). Service was friendly and really pretty fast, considering everything was homemade. There was enough parking around back to fit our truck and travel trailer.
