Let me break it down for you: they'll hit you with random, unnecessary upsells when all you need is one simple service. It took them almost two hours just to replace a single tire. The new tire (if you can even call it that) wasn't worth the $80, and the $30 installation fee on top of that is absurd. I went to have a tire patched, individual tells me the tire tread is low. Might want to consider new tires - once I pointed out they passed inspection recently AND they didn't have the right size of tire in stock, they were magically able to patch it. This was after they did a "service check" that I didn't ask for. Finally the tire is patched and I am charged $40 and told good news, you don't need any work done to your car. NTB has gone from patching tires at no cost hoping to gain a customer (I was one of those who buy tires from them for that reason) to trying to "find" things wrong with your car and go outside the scope of what is asked to try and get more money. I will need new tires soon and best believe, I won't be buying them from NTB. It felt like it was just skating the edge of being unethical. read more

The guy working there at the front desk with the glasses said that they already took in their last walk in customer of the day and he did not even look at the tire for us. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I took my work van in for front end work and purchased new tires as well. Vehicle wasn't returned as promised after I picked up the vehicle I noticed that it pulled badly to the right and bad vibration on the left side. No worries. I continued my route and made an appointment to drop vehicle off next day to have tires re-balanced which was on a Saturday. I had my wife trail me, had breakfast, and ran some errands in the area. I still had no phone call so then had lunch. It almost being closing time we went back upon our arrival everyone on duty that day just sitting around in the back laughing and just passing time as it looked to my wife and I. Clerk comes up front and states the mechanic wasn't able to get it better. I asked, "so why didn't you call me I could have went on with my day." No answer. I can refund your money for the tire balancing. That's fix my problem. My van hasn't been the same since. Clerk showed no interest to even want to get my vehicle issues rectified. I had recently purchased tires for my wife two months before $1,400 and had Tire pressure monitor error come on a couple days later. I took it to another service center and the clerk informed me that all the sensors were damaged needing to be replaced costing $1,000. I spent almost $2,000 leaving me with two vehicles worse than when I brought both of them. This NTB isn't trained/skilled and unaccountable for their negligence. I bought tires for a Porsche 911 there and they left marks on the rim. A couple of months later, I took the car back for an inside patch due to a bolt in one of the tires. They chipped my rim, and I have a vibration now. I won't ever go back to these amateurs. Do not take any kind of high end car here, if you care about it. He said he would call me when he could get the part, here we are 2 months later I went to the dealership who told me they would need to have my car for a full week to diagnose, get the part and fix it. NTB is really a mixed bag of a good quick experience or a jowly cow I have been here for almost 3 hours waiting to get my tires replaced. In the past 3 months I have been here twice, both times to swap out tires for two different mini coopers. For both cars I order my tires online at Tirerack.com and send them there so that I can have the run flats installed. The first time it was easy just a 45 min wait on a Saturday around 2pm. Just cost me $50 and the service guys were cool. Only issue I had was that they forgot to put an cap on one of my valve stems. I did have to laugh when they tried to sell my lifetime tire weighting for an extra 5-10 per tire. You only need to Weight your tire one time do that was funny. For this visit I would give them 4 stars. The second time was not a wonderful. Got in on a Thursday night about 5 ish didn't leave until 7:30-45. When I got in I asked if they were busy and the front guy said no. Well that was an understatement of the week. They had either two or three mechanics working at the time. I'm not really sure since each time I asked the amount changed. But it was an insight to how they work. The Astana manager who was a different guy the. Who I spiked to at first came out said that he works on commission. The guys in back work per hour. So the more work he sends back to the guys the more $ he gets. That does explain why my tires this time cost $80 to install. He noticed they were run flats the first time I went the guy didn't notice it. I would rate the last experience a two star effort. Anyhow three hours later and one custom before me I finally got my tires. Word of advice if you know about cars you can come in here and be ok. If you have no clue about cars just keep your phone handy. The review boils down to a 3, NBT is ok if you can't DIY. read more

In general I like NTB for oil changes and tires but this location is a weak link in the brand. The quality of work is extremely variable and they ALWAYS find something wrong with your car to try and scare you into paying more. Three visits ago they didn't even put oil back in my car! Found this out when my oil light went off two days later and I returned, the attendant said it was an "oversight". (This was over a year ago, I've avoided since but unfortunately they are closest to me when I needed a weekend change and couldn't make it to another location) In hopes they have improved, took it in last oil change and tire rotation. They did the work and sent me packing with a $1,600 estimate for other stuff. Next oil change I go back and they tell me the lugnuts on my tires need rethreading due to poor quality work and give me a $300 quote to fix (front tires only). Only after I remind them it was their location that last handled my tires do they offer to complete the work "on the house". (AND the poor quality installation on the lugnuts from the last visit that I had been driving around on was extremely unsafe) Only fixing their own shoddy work at no cost AFTER you call them on their bluff gives the NTB brand and auto mechanics in general a bad name. I'm going to avoid this location from now on. read more

I dropped by on Saturday to get a roofing nail pulled out from the right rear of my fathers van. They took the information and said it would be 45 minutes to an hour. I asked how much it was and it was $45 which I thought was exorbitant but continued on. All along I'm thinking I'm not liking the way this was going, and to my fear, they came in and said, "We cannot repair the tire and we will have to replace it. I told him to put the tire back on and we left about 15 minutes later. An out of State plate may have been the flag, but this was a simple fix and I cannot believe the way individuals or companies will take advantage. I then proceeded to Discount Tire, where they did the complete tire removal, patch, plug, a new valve stem and balance for free. Needless to say, NTB will never get additional business from me, and Discount tire will get opportunities in the future. read more

Took my Jeep in for a tire rotation. Almost 3 months ago. They said I needed to purchase 2 new tires because one had a nail in the side wall Yes I purchased all four tires there less then a year ago with roadside hazard. I drive about 20 miles a day. I only needed one not two Needless to say then the tires were off they came up with another $2000. Worth of repairs. Stating it was broken and dangerous I said put tires back on and call me when my replacement tires are in I called them 3 more times checking on the tire status told each time they will call me back Today I finally got the "one" replaced after it sitting on the rim for a week And when I asked why I wasn't Called back they shrugged their shoulders I've used them for years, don't know what's changed this past year, But I won't be back And I will pass my experience on read more

I called to see if they were busy so I could have tires out on my car. I was told that they had nothing going on and to come on up. I showed up and the techs were twiddling their thumbs and there wasn't a single customer. I was asked if I was dropping the car off and when I said I'll be waiting I was told it will be over an hour. That's ridiculous for just two tires, especially since I personally saw 3 techs sitting just outside the bay door doing nothing. This is my second and final attempt to deal with NTB. read more

Not sure where to start... I am sitting here having to wait 45 plus minutes for NTB to fix a flat!! They said it would be 10 minstrel before they could even start to fix it.... I'm ok with that, there were other people here first. But 45 minutes to fix a flat?? 10 minutes top... it's not hard (I use to do it in high school and college) I should also say it's a rental. Thanks Enterprise for giving me a car with a flat. I got it yesterday and first thing was a low pressure light.... but that's another story. Where do I begin... my husband took his Buick in last month and they found his wheel bearings need to be replaced. So they replaced the wheel bearings in the front right wheel. I drop my husband off to pick it up and 30 minutes later after he had driven it for a while to make sure there were no issues he calls me to pick him back up. Apparently they broke a brake clip when installing the bearings! $900 later he gets his car back and it's fine. Fast forward to today when he drops it off for an oil change, tire rotation and general inspection. They called and said his struts need to be replaced, ok let's do it. AND the wheel bearing is going bad- the one they just replaced! I drop him off to pick it up and tada 30 minutes later he calls to have me pick him up again! He was told sometimes when putting the struts in there is a strap that can get forgotten and left on. $800 later... So his car is there overnight again since the tech working on it was gone and back in the morning and will work on it then. We had no problems where we used to live and that's why we came to this location. Bad decision- never going back to NTB again! Edited to add: its 9:45am and they've been open since 7am, husband calls to check the status, so he can go to work, and they say yeah it's done. He asks what was wrong and a guy in the background said it was the sway bar bracket (forgot to replace it last night or not in properly??) and said it's ready to pick up- thanks for letting us know... anyway we get there and he walks in and they just place his key on the counter with no words- obviously they've been notified about this review. read more

I called ahead of time to make sure they weren't busy and said they were not busy one bit, I then I got a quote for 4 new tires, I asked what the cheapest were and was told 84/tire. I get to the store, no customers there. I then asked if they had the same brand as my wife had put on before and he sighed and looked it up on the computer and begrudgingly said "yeah we have those" so I asked for 4 of them, he then took 5 minutes or so to pull up an invoice, the invoice had a 153 dollar tire protection on there and equaled the same invoice as the 84 dollar tires. I asked why they didn't have the tire protection plan on the more expensive tires to which he replied "I don't know, someone else must've given that quote" I asked him to take it off as we will only have this car for 6 months or so. Also, discount tire patches tires for free regardless of where you buy them. He seemed annoyed that I didn't want expensive tires on an old car. Then proceeded to take about 30-40 minutes before ever even pulling my car into an empty bay. Overpriced, poorly ran facility that will never get our business again. Also, tried to get an inspection and his "inspection guy" wasn't in today. 3 managers were though, none of them can do inspections? This place is a joke. P.S. didn't give me any "deals" they have online, or any rebate options. Just terrible business, I'll always go back to discount tire. Great customer service and looks out for the customers well being and wallet. Total time for four new tires in an empty bay 1 hour and 40 minutes. read more

I arrived to have my car look at due to car problems. They didn't fix it and the manager Brian wanted to get $1,000 for repairs I didn't need. Advised he had a friend on the side I could pay the repair off in installments. I didn't take his deal. Went to Ford Auto - they fixed my car and advised me NTB didn't finish the repair, that is why my car still was having problems after I left NTB. I will NEVER go back to NTB again! This manager I feel is running a side business. Picking up customers on the side. Plus what NTB manager told me was wrong with my car was NOT what was wrong at ALL! Here are the Facts: Went in for an oil change Customer service = decent Wait time = ridiculously long...about an hour and a half just for them to say they couldn't give me the oil change because of my "ground effects"/"side skirts" Upper Management = rude, condescending, worthless & ultimately does not care about serving the customer Service = they couldn't give me the oil change yet DAMAGED my side skirt...when i realized and confronted them got nothing but attitude... Resolve = they give me the run around, i question there integrity and the "Upper management" says "If you have a question regarding our integrity, don't call here, and don't come here, go someplace else" Do they really even care for the customer? This is my SECOND horrible experience there. 1st time, wife bought a card being sold to Grapevine Business Owners with for 5 oil changes for $79.99...amazingly every time we made an appointment...they were out of OIL when they knew we had the card. Finally after the third appointment, they had the oil and it took them 3 hrs to complete the work, then they stripped the drain plug. When it finally completed I was told we needed new brakes and 2 tires. I explained that my wife's Tahoe was brand new and it wasn't necessary. Today, I found I had a nail in my tire so with Discount Tire closed on Sunday, I called them and Fernando told me it would be an hour wait. Jumped in the car, drove down there at noon and waited for 15 min listening to the recommendations to a single mother of $1400 worth of Struts that were very dangerous and leaking.(Fernando laid it on THICK) Their Labor Rate is $110 an hr. Fernando did it least shake her down for a new tire...she came in for the oil change and luckily..they HAD the oil for her. When Fernando FINALLY turned to me, he rudely asked me, "What do YOU want?" I told him I had spoken to him on the phone and needed a nail removed and a plug in the tire and he basically told me to get out..couldn't do it today. I asked him why he just told me to come drop it off on the phone, and he very loudly pointed to the parking lot telling me that all those cars were ahead of me and it was out of the question. I had a 10:30 appointment today to get a conventional oil change. With the online booking and coupon it would have been $24.03. Not bad. I like NTB. They are usually fast; however, today it took them 1 hour and 45 minutes to do my oil change. I was a little more than disappointed. I wish the front desk guy would have told be before I sat for almost two hours. He was nice and gave me the oil change for free but I still would have preferred to leave it then come back. read more

I hit a snag this morning with a flat tire on my rental car on my way back to El Paso from Lewisville @4am. Nothing was open obviously at this time so I had to sit outside the NTB for 2.5 hours just to find out the patch wouldn't do it I need a full replacement of the tire. After telling Juan my situation he acted immediately finding the best solution to help me out and get me back on the road. Not only was the service 5 star, but his attitude was very selfless. Today I took in my 1 year old F150 because of a nail in a fairly new tire. I had the tire repaired and bought the lifetime rotation/balance as I do on all my vehicles. This is my 17th year(and now 9th vehicle) of doing all my family business with them. 90 minutes and 90 dollars later I was on my way. I was given a free appetizer coupon to use at Saltgrass next door and was able to get a nice meal while watching football. I'm very selective on who works on my vehicles but they have my tire and alignment business and they always will. Please do not confuse this NTB with the one at the Mills mall, my kiddos went there by accident and they got terrible treatment. read more

I usually go to the NTB in Richardson but I didn't think my spare could make it all that way so I came here. They took my keys and didn't say a word to me until my car was ready...that's weird. TELL ME WHAT YOU'RE DOING TO MY CAR! Then I was told I should look into ordering 2 tires very soon because I'd need them to pass my upcoming inspection. I told them I'd never needed to special order my tires at the other location and once the guy figured out I wouldn't be purchasing the tires from them, all of a sudden my tires were at the halfway mark...which means I'd be okay to pass inspection by September.
