What time did you arrive? It doesn't matter. The tracker showed that we checked in long after we had arrived. I've been to at least 3 other Discount Tires. This is the only one where time estimates have been so extremely far off. Verbiage on their automated tracker is unclear. Arrival window sounds like the time you arrived at the shop. I'm told bayed out is the time service was completed. I assure you my vehicle wasn't bayed out at 10:15. It was over an hour after that before my vehicle went into the bay. I will say, once they got my vehicle into the bay, service was very quick. The notification that service was completed came through when we were almost an hour down the road, though. I will continue to use Discount Tire. Apparently this shop was just having a bad day. I appreciate management taking the time to reach out. read more

They offer free Tire Fill-up! Tons of parking because it's part of a plaza but they took care of me right away on a weekday after work with no appointment. The plaza across the parking lot is picturesque. Standalone building seemed modern and clean. Staff was friendly and professional, and this establishment seems reliable. On 12/15/25 the cashier acted as if he did not want to do the refund because of how we paid. he automatically stated it could not be done because the payment was done via Zelle but we had the invoice. Christopher did not want to assist us , he dismissed us and told us a manager was going to come but he was going to say the same thing. when the asst manager Isiah came. he stated the refund had to be a check and it would take 4 weeks but we could see on the screen that he selected the option that we declined the original form of payment and we did not decline. but we saw him choose that option. also on the website it states "refunds will be process thru the original form of tender". if this is not the case please update your website. lastly I do feel they were rude , just the customer service was not good at all. especially Christopher. he really did not want to help us. read more

I am more than impressed with Discount Tire on Airport Freeway. Honestly some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. A screw in my tire created a much larger ordeal than I expected. Through a mixup or misunderstanding, I left with a new tire but a screw in the same location in a different tire. It seemed too ironic to consider coincidence. The manager was sympathetic but explained their work process to confirm the bad tire couldn't have been misplaced on a different wheel. BUT, they still replaced the bad tire as an act of good will. Back in the day, this type of customer service was standard, but the art of good service was somehow lost through the years. It was so refreshing to see a company care, and do the right thing. So, I'm doing my part in giving a five star review. In my opinion, it's not just the day to day service that counts, it's just important to see how they deal with problems/complaints. Hats off!!! All I have to say is, for the line of cars out front waiting, PUT A SIGN THERE SAYING WHAT THE LINE IS FOR. I showed up to get a nail taken out of one of my tires. I saw the line of cars off to the side and when I pulled up, I asked the worker at the front of the line if I should wait in that line of cars. He said yes so I did. 1/2 hour later, I say I have a nail in my tire I need removed, and the guy says to pull over and go inside. So I didn't have to wait in line? I even said that to the guy and he said no. A simple sign explaining what in the hell the line of cars is for would go a long way. I go inside, they set me up. Now, you get texts and a link to a display showing the estimate to how long your car will take, if it's on the lift, etc. I had time to kill, walked around Dollar Tree and Lowes. Not the nicest area. Anyhow, car ready earlier than expected (still too over an hour if you count waiting in line). Told the nail didn't go though and they checked the air. Said the air was low in all 4 which was not true as I had just checked it before bringing it in. It had just been serviced the week prior so I know the tires were good. Anyhow, no charge for this very long experience. They even gave me the little nail which did match the picture I took before I went there. So, all in all I'm out some time but not out any money. read more

Schedule for a 2:15 pm appointment for today, they didn't get the car in, in till about 3pm. I told them I wanted two new sets of tires in the front since my two back ones are in good condition. So they did, I ended up leaving around 4pm went straight home and came back out to a flat tire on one of the tires that was replaced.. Like wtf ? Now I'm driving 8:43 PM TO A OPEN TIRE SHOP TO REPLACE THIS TIRE. They are close tomorrow so I can't bitch at them in till Monday. ! What a waste of time and money! Earlier this week I asked to be towed to Discount Tire because I have used them consistently in past and this location was closest to where I needed to be towed from. I think almost every associate spoke/acknowledged me to let me know that they would be with me shortly. I appreciated that a ton, they were pretty busy as it was very close to closing time. Baldo was the associate who helped me and he was very kind because I was stressed out as my tire went flat on the expressway. He was very thorough in his explanation and showing me things to be aware of on my vehicle. They got me in and out in about 45 minutes I think. I was very happy with service. went in for tire balance and rotation, they said tbey can't do it because the tires weren't purchased there after i already spoke to them on the phone. they then tried to sell me new tire, after telling them the exact tires I wanted they spent amplitude amount of time telling me what they do recommend never gave me a price on what i asked for, then said they can only rotate the tires because they were to dirty to balance, took the truck back tried changing me to balance all four when they ended up balancing one. I asked for a refund for the other three they charged me for they said I have to talk to my manager I said i have time, they replied with a snarky comment but you didn't have time to wait for tires, my response was you never gave me a quote on the tires I asked for you just said you didn't recommend them, and he walked out with an attitude. This is the only place I allow to come near my tires. The gentleman here are extremely professional and always take very good care of my tires. I recently came in for the second time in 3 weeks because my low tire pressure indicator turned on. The guy that put air in my tire said this wasn't normal and checked my tire and they ended up finding a nail in it. They were able to patch it up. I didn't have to wait long. The whole process took about 40 minutes from the time I arrived to the time I was handed my keys. read more

After explanation of finances being "tight"....he comes back and said they were going to install a new tire. I saw what looks like a plug -I asked the guy airing my tires this morning: he said that yeah that is a plug. So I said: oh wow, I paid "your" full price for a tire, and they sold me a USED ONE? What part of that do they not understand? You buy new: something happens to it: store is suppose to replace it for what the customer paid. That's the right thing to do. I've visited this location hundreds of times for Air Check Service and I've got to admit every time I've gone the Air Check Service personnel was and has always been awesome @ giving that Service to me as a Customer ....... Unfortunately this past Saturday I went in there to see about something I needed and unfortunately the Service inside is nothing like the service that I've received from the guys who perform the Air Check Service ! That's vet sad and definitely unexpected given that I stepped inside this location ! The Customer Service j received inside was unprofessional , very negative and far from any Service that one should get as a Customer ........ This guy named Alvaro had an attitude they said "I really don't care nor do I give a dam about your concern or issue and the service that I'm giving you is what you're gonna get" ! When I brought it to his attention what my concern was he basically gave me the I don't give a dam attitude and then he tells me that I've got to talk to his supervisor ! When his supervisor was the one who made the mistake and I was trying to tell him in a respectful and polite manner what my issue was but he definitely made it a point to let me know that he didn't care about my issue ! I guess he wasn't taught that anyone can call themselves a Manager, Supervisor or Asst Manager but they obviously failed to tell him that in the end if you're NOT a LEADER , you're NOTHING ! So I then tell him to give me the number to the District Manager or Corporate Office and on Monday when I call the number he wrote down on a Discount Tire brochure it turns out that it was just a number to a Location in Plano ! Now you can't tell me that I was incorrect or wrong about his I don't give a dam attitude because by him giving me a number other than the one I special ask for, that action in itself shows it ........ As far as the so called Supervisor ( CELSO ) ! That guy needs to be taught how to communicate with customers, especially when there's a customer standing FIRST in line and he decides to attend to a customer that is sitting on a stool looking out of a window to the bay area versus the customer who's FIRST in line ! The sad part is that these 2 guys level of Customer Service is far from the level that the guys who do Air Check level of Customer Service is ....... Then again, when I finally got the number for Corporate I was told I would hear back from someone that day ( Monday ) and I didn't ! Low and behold come Tuesday I get a call from the same location that gave me the UNPROFESSIONAL and VERY NEGATIVE Service from ! Now you don't expect for that Supervisor to listen to what I have to say and then turn around and punish himself do you ? I guess Discount Tire as a Business & Corporation doesn't care enough to call a Customer back in regards to the bad , unprofessional & negative service they've received ! So why would their employees care ? CELSO & ALVARO keep in mind that you all aren't the only ones who sell tires in Irving because there's a FIRESTONE just on the other side of the highway and they don't sell tires that are sent to you all from other Distributors because they couldn't get sold and they sat on their shelves way too long and that is why you sell them and why you all are named Discount Tires because you sell tires that they weren't able to sell and they sat too long on the shelf ....... Those are the FACTS people and citizens of Irving Tx ! But don't ever expect them to tell you that ! Why ? Cause they don't care ! One more piece of advice Discount Tire , when a Customer calls your Corporate number and they leave a name and number for you to intact them, it's best you do just that so you'll know who the BAD APPLES are in your Company and you can fix it or eliminate the problem ! Had a slow leak on my 2020 Jeep Cherokee tire with only 4000 miles. Brought to Firestone in Irving where they said it could not be repaired and quoted $248 for a replacement tire. Not happy with that quote I brought the car to Discount Tire on W. Airport Fwy. They patched and plugged the tire including balancing within an hour without an appointment. When picking up they said the repair was complimentary and they hope when I need tires I'll come there. Kudos to Discount Tire for customer service and I certainly will buy my tires from them going forward. read more

Incredibly busy location with friendly employees. We have bought tires, had flats repaired, had rotations, and had air checks. We have always had good customer service. I feel like details get explained well when necessary. They don't charge for flat repairs, air checks, and rotations. I also checked prices the last time I got tires and they are competitive. Employees are friendly. My main issue is this location is so busy, so incredibly busy. You will almost always have to wait. The wait isn't unreasonable though, but we have found a location nearer our house (rather than my work) and it is able to accommodate us a little better. read more

I have passed this discount tire multiple times because its right by my apartment essentially. I was greeted as soon as I walked in which was nice. Johnathan helped me out during this visit. I got a flat and so i decided to change out my tires. Yes they try and upsell and thats they're job, its up to you to do your research and stick to your guns!! Jonathan was very polite and professional. My car was a taken care of in about an hour as promised. I was able to get a $50 rebate which is awesome when buying tires. Even while i was waiting all the salesmen were very professional and trying to help as many customers as they were able. It was on and off busy with 5-10 customers waiting to be checked in or waiting for their vehicle as I was there. After about 10 minutes Johnathan came back and ended up telling me I needed a new wheel (bye money) so I went ahead and got that taken cared of as well. He apologized for the inconvenience and asked about how I got the flat which was nice he was concerned for the customer. There was a group of people with a ministry looking for donations so that was a little out of the norm, very nice people but not the right place for it hassling customers. Discount Tire is a necessary evil... You never want to go, but when you do, you get good, friendly, and quick service. I got all 4 tires replaced at this location, and it took them about an hour or so, even though they were swamped. Now I can go to any location every 6000 miles to get free tire rotations and every 12,000 miles to get free balancing. Add to that, they'll repair flat tires for free (even if you didn't buy the tire from them). So yeah, I'll be back, and I won't like it, but at least it won't be painful. read more

I love Discount Tire. I'm not a tire afficianado, I just need tires to go from A to B on I-30 or 360 or 183/121. I've been a customer since 2000, and the staff is always professional. If I say I'm on a budget, they don't try to upsell, they just get me what I need when I need it. When they had to order a rim for me, they loaned me one, and once my rim was in, they let me keep the loaner so now I have a full size spare instead of a donut. I have a Discount Tire credit card, but they still don't upsell or pressure sell. You can come in for just a look at your tires and they will help. I was having low tire pressure and went there with my newborn thinking I just needed air, come to find out, I had a nail in my tire. The attendant let me know they patch tires for FREE, and I just needed to get in line to speak with an advisor. I went to the website and the next available appointment was more than 24 hrs away. So I drove by for the wait list and was able to drop off if needed. That was not necessary. Car was taken into garage within 10 of arrival and the were able to repair (nail) a tire on truck and replace a spare tire for trailer without any hassle. The customer service friendly from the get go and above satisfactory for the visit. Also clean inside for customers to wait with 12 seats approximately 4 ft apart.
