First, I hope Leadership reads this review. I've been doing business with Firestone in Flower Mound (obviously not this location) for over 30 years. The difference between these two locations is night and day! I've been here (Grapevine) three times in the last six months. It appears they only have a small number of folks working at this location. Customer service does not appear to be their main goal... unlike in Flower Mound where customer service seems to be their number one focus . Maybe, if they improve their customer service, they could be as busy as the Flower Mound location! My last two visits were to have air put in my Firestone purchased tires (which I spent nearly $3000 on). The previous visit, I had to wait nearly 10 minutes for somebody to check and inflate my tires. This time, the office person handed me The pressure gauge, and saying his 2 folks were too busy to fill my tires. Though I have moved to Grapevine, I guess I'll be going to Flower Mound to get my tire service with Firestone. read more

I bought my tires there and went to get a nail pulled and patched they said that it was in the outside too far actually over and inch inside well within safety patches yet they would not fix... tried to sell me a new tire when it was almost new... then said I didn't buy them there but had all my other cars over years of work done... They still open at 4 pm and no one was showing up to ask any help even waited in my car for 10 minutes. Mechanic guys were looking at me. And nothing asked me even my tire is flat. Came here for a wheel alignment. I tried to book last minute online for next day service, but never received a confirmation. Called this morning to see if they could take me and they said come on in. Great! I was nervous that they wouldn't be able to find proof of purchase of the lifetime alignment in the system because in the past at various Firestones they've had trouble. But nope...they found it right away! Alonzo was SO helpful!!!! It got busy there for a minute, meaning few hours and he had top notch customer service. Turned out I needed a little more than I came in for but, the recommendations were legit if you know what I mean, and I was grateful to get it done and checked off. There's a lot of shops across the street if you want to drop off and go shop or browse. It helps that they're right next to Andy's Frozen Custard too. Drop off and swing by to get a treat! As long as this Firestone stays in business, I'm sure they will too lol. I'll definitely be back for any future maintenance. They took great care of me! read more

Brought a Ram 1500 to them after the Check Engine Light came on. Used a code reader to determine that the third cylinder was misfiring. Haven't changed the plugs in a while so that makes sense. Manager argued and said that can't be it, might be something else. Argued and argued and argued and said "you don't know what you're talking about". They're unhelpful and don't want money, don't value the customers who keep them in business. They speak down to women and treat them like idiots too. My husband ran over a nail and since we are strong advocates of supporting businesses in our community he decided to take the car to this location. After checking his tire, he was told the tire was damaged and it would cost $330 for a new tire. Luckily, he decided to try Pep Boys on Harwood and they checked the tire and plugged it for $22. After reading these other reviews it's evident that this location is known for having a lot of issues. read more

My auto has now been in the Firestone garage for +4 weeks! When I inquired about its status the Manager acted annoyed! Told me there are other cars waiting for parts ordered too. I asked if any of them been waiting one month! Meanwhile I borrow other people's cars waiting on Firestone to do their job. Apparently our versions of customer service differs greatly. I got my car fixed a little over a month ago for 1,700 dollars. they said that it was a bunch of things that needed to get replaced, which just felt like that were trying to reel money in. they said it was necessary. along with that. when i try to get it fixed one day they tell me(in a very rude manner) that they are booked and i have to wait 4 days, and on the day of my appointment, they say it will take just 5 hours to get fixed, and it turned into 2 days. with out a car. do your self a favor and just don't read more

In my opinion this is most likely the worst Firestone Total Car Care Service center in the entire DFW Metro Area. They are extremely slow and their customer service is awful! You can't expect them to complete your service in a timely manner. I was told that the work would be completed in an hour and a half, and we'll over 2 hours later I'm still waiting! Do yourself a big favor and don't get work done here. Even with a prescheduled appointment for today, people are being told that they can't get the work done until Friday! Today is TUESDAY!!! It may be short mechanics or unforeseen circumstances, but it's no way to run a busines. read more

My son took in his 2005 Porsche to Firestone Grapevine. He had run out of gas and burnt out his gas pump as a result. They charged him $3,500 to replace both gas pumps. He had the car less than 24 hours after their fix, and it stalled and sputtered as if he was out of gas, despite the fact that he had a 1/2 tank. When he took it back he was told it was not the gas pump and he needs to take it to the Porsche dealership. read more

I've done business with several Firestone stores in the DFW area for years. I'm fact my whole fam has. Drove up to the Grapevine store for the first time today and had bad service. 2 older garage employees one with long gray hair and the other a lanky guy with a beard. Both never approached me or acknowledged i was there. Both saw me but kept ignoring me. After a good while a young employee named TJ came out and with a smile and helped me immediately. He came out of nowhere from the back of the garage to help. TJ needs a raise for the kind of customer service he gave. He was excellent! read more

I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler and the other day pilot bearing went out. I took it to Firestone and they said it would cost $107 to diagnose the issue. I asked them if that would be waived if I decided to have them fix it. They said no. I should have told them to forget it at that point but I let them diagnose the issue. They told me that the Flywheel need replaced ( FYI, it is only 11 months old!) , the clutch assembly needed replaced, the Transfer case needed replaced!! and the clutch fork needed replaced. these repairs totaled $1630.00. So I told them not to touch my Jeep and to make it ready for t tow truck to pick it up. I had it taken to Holman's Transmissions. They had it literally 24 hours. They told me that the Pilot bearing went out and the it would cost $550 for them to replace the clutch assembly that included the pilot Bearing. They did an excellent job and My jeep runs great!! read more

My tire went flat while driving to go pick up my kid at 5:30pm. I managed to get into Firestones parking lot barely. Went inside and asked if someone could help put my spare tire on since I have road hazard with another company. Offered to pay for the assistance only to be told no their techs were to busy. Earliest they could assist me would be the next morning. Had to call my mother in law who lives almost an hour away and ask her to go get my kid while I waited on roadside assistance to show up as they estimated a 2-2 1/2 hr wait. If this is how Firestone treats someone stranded in their parking lot I can only imagine how great they treat their other customers. read more

IF 0 STARS WAS AN OPTION, THAT'S WHAT I'D GIVE! On Aug, 25, 2022, we were told we needed to purchase 4 new tires and it was recommended to purchase a lifetime alignment by Rob, the sales representative at the front counter. We agreed and paid $758.69, however, they failed to notify me that the rim was cracked when they put tires on the car. When I took the car back because the tire on the cracked rim kept going flat, I was then notified of the cracked rim and it needed to be replaced. I then got the rim replaced and brought the vehicle back to have the tire they just put on the car replaced. We have been going back and forth since Dec. and they are now failing to replace the 2 rear tires as they are bald. How are 50k mile tires bald in 4 months with only 2k miles on them? Firestone charged me for 4 "new" tires, yet the rear tires are a different brand, not the brand we purchased. So with that, they charged me for 4 "new" tires, only placed 2 "new" tires on the vehicle and rotated the original tires to the rear, thus why they are bald and now needing replacement. Instead of honoring the purchase, they are refusing and attempting to charge us another $450 for 2 more tires? They then claim an alignment is needed, but didn't acknowledge the lifetime alignment that was purchased on Aug. 25 and paid for Aug. 30? This horrific behavior is known as fraud, theft, fraudulent inducement, violation of DTPA and Consumer laws! I expect this to be rectified IMMEDIATELY! read more

Grapevine under new mngmt?? Had appt, sat alone , ignored by 2 staff,suit and hostess*, sitting on butts in garage area for 15 min+. Paid for checkup-look-see, oil chg and lifetime allignment. Write-up said engine air and cabin filters at #3 of 5 worst. I CHANGED BOTH the night before, myself!! Said washer fluid at 40% and added. I TOPPED IT OFF the night before!! No comments on previous FStone writeups, brakes, strutts wven though I mentioned to *. LOL THOSE would have been the "got me$$" but now I see NOT TRUSTWORTHY. * turned two customers away. Man needed a jump, my car still sitting unattended 45 min into "appointment" so I got my mini-jumper and took care of business!!! Got offered dinner and a margarita by grateful dude. 2nd man wanted State Inspection, * told him "return at 7pm and maybe..." DUH they close at 7pm. I sent him to local shop off Main St. Kicker, waiting another 15 min to get my car keys post work and told my oil pan/plug will need changing because my car is old. Or screded it in wrong?? NEVER WILL RETURN HERE. Where are my trustworthy folks that used to man this store?? :-( I may be a girl but I am not STUPID. I didn't appreciatey the passive aggressive colored Hostess's games. I've been going to Firestone for minor repairs for years. Everyone at this store seems like a nice person, but I just can't take my car to them ever again. I had some steering wheel vibration after I purchased a set of new tires from Discount Tire, so I took the car to a different Firestone location in Austin. That store counterbalanced the wheels and improved the shimmy, but they told me that each of the brand new tires failed the Road Force balance and were either run flats (no) or defective. I was puzzled, but in a hurry so I took my car and left. After returning home to Grapevine and noticing that the shimmy had started to return over the next few months, I decided to take the car to Firestone and have them Road Force balance the wheels again. When I picked it up, they told me that it passed Road Force with flying colors. They also told me that the wheel didn't shake for them; they didn't know what I was talking about. In reality, they actually made the wheels more imbalanced. Weights that were on the wheels before were removed and/or they rotated the wheels without rebalancing. While before it was a very minor shimmy that I was being anal about, now I have a steering wheel, seats, and visors that I can actually *see* shaking violently at 70 mph+. Weird that it didn't do that for them (in their defense, the highest speed limit in the area is 65). But if I can't trust you to balance wheels, I can't recommend you to do anything else. read more

After 20 years with Firestone, the Watauga store so pissed me off that I boycotted Firestone for 2 years. During that time I spent over $2000 in services with other auto shops as punishment for Firestone. I finally decided to give them another chance, at this location about 2 years ago. In the last two years the Grapevine location has restored my faith (mostly) in Firestone. And it wasn't easy. I've tested them over and over to see if they would try and cheat me like the Watauga store did. So far, they have passed every time. With a mechanic for a father I know a thing or two about cars ... I just choose not to get my hands dirty anymore. So I can spot a crooked mechanic when I see one...and I know all about the upsell. These guys have been straight shooters every single time. That said, my previous experience still leaves me in a perpetual state of, "trust but verify" and if they (Firestone) ever treat me the way they did back in 2010, I will crucify them in social networking. But for now, I'm once again a fan. read more

Brought my 2013 minivan here when battery light turned on as well as Check Charge system light. Given an estimate for nearly $800 for alternator and belt. Contacted our local mechanic and was given a lower estimate Firestone said would honor so I left my vehicle there in good faith; however, Jeremy called the following day saying it would be higher so I told him to stop any work immediately. A manager later called to say he'd honor the estimate but I went ahead and took my business to our local mechanic who checked my vehicle and found nothing wrong with it! read more

Horrible Service. This place is ran by inexperienced high school kids. I dropped my truck off yesterday for new tires and an oil change. When I got home, my lug nut cover was gone. Someone didn't put it back on properly. While looking at the other wheels to make sure the centers were properly installed, I noticed they used hammer on weights to balance the tires. Who in their right mind would use hammer on weights on the outside of Aluminum Tires. Oh, that's right, A bunch of high school kids, that's who! When I woke up this morning, I noticed a large puddle of oil under the truck. Upon further investigation, I found it to be old oil (not new oil). So that means it was leaking from the drip pan and the filter cover. Really! How hard is it to take a rag and wipe the old oil off. It takes an extra 30 seconds. Now I have a huge oil stain in my drive way, missing center caps, and scratched rims from the cheap hammer weights. Did I mention it took them all day to do this horrible job. What was supposed to be two hours took more like 6 hours. Stay far away from this place. This used to be a good store, but after Danny and Jamy left it went down hill fast. This has ruined me for all Firestone Complete Auto Car. I will find somewhere else to work on all my fleet vehicles. read more

Had a bad experience a few months ago after I ran over a nail. Was told that they didn't have the time in stock, but they could order it and have it for me the next day. Went back and found out the the they ordered was incorrect and they had the tire in stock the whole time, but it was more expensive than the one I was quoted. Figured it was an isolated incident. Came back today for a simple oil change. Had an appointment and 90 minutes later it was finally complete and it wasn't busy. Was also told after doing their inspection that my tires were at a 4 when just a few weeks ago when I was there relaxing the tire with a nail in it they were at a 6. How is it possible to have that much wear in less than 3 months. They're just trying to over charge and replace items that aren't necessary. Stay away. To many other honest vendors in this area. Lesson learned the hard way. read more

I went to this Firestone earlier this year because my brakes were squeaking, after I had my brakes repaired several weeks prior at a different store location. Although my rear brakes had been replaced, and I was told by the other store that the front brakes were at 6mm, this location found that the front brake pads were around 3mm and needed replacing. After speaking with the store manager, they decided to look in to it. Shortly after, I received a call from them that they would replace my brakes at no charge since I had already been through so much hassle. A few weeks later, because of my good experience, I came back for an oil change, which they completed expediently. The team at this Firestone location is friendly, courteous, and willing to go out of their way for customer service. I had excellent work done on both visits. read more

I set up an appointment for an oil change yesterday and they didn't even start on my car for 30 minutes after I got there. (What is the purpose of setting an appointment if they don't start when for the time you set it?) Ultimately, the oil change took an hour and a half. I could live with the long wait time, but what I can't live with was the way my car smelled of MAJOR B.O. after they were finished. My car smelled so bad on the drive home I had to open the windows and I still gagged all the way home. I sprayed it with air freshener when I got home and it still smelled when I got into my car this morning. I TOTALLY understand it is the summer in Texas and the shop gets hot, but at the VERY LEAST spray something when you are finished if you have to get into your customer's cars. Or hand out free hanging fresheners to your customers during the summer months. The only reason this is two stars and not one is because it was a cheap oil change. I am sure the company isn't bad (even the people at the front desk were really nice and welcoming), but the mechanics were terrible. And since the mechanics are what matters... I won't be taking my car there again. read more

I went in and ask the manager for assistance he was swamped and never made it back out. The tech never came back out to help. I went to quiktrip and did it myself. Helpful and courteous staff. I've bought a set of tires here and had my oil changed several times. I didn't feel like the tire sales people were overly pushy. They informed me of each of my choices and explained the pros and cons of each one. When they were out of stock on the mid-tier tires I wanted they got a set overnighted from another location and I got them installed the next morning. Oil changes usually take 1-1.5 hours with no appointment, which is quicker than other local places. They will get you in and out quick if you have an appointment. The cashier also applied an electronic coupon for 15% off my oil change when I asked if there were any specials, which made my full synthetic change $58 out he door. They will also rotate your tires free! read more

Gee there isn't a lower mark to give out? Well if there were, this would be the place to get it. I had gone there several years ago(1990's) to have some work done on my car. I had a Ring-gear,Fly-wheel and starter put on my car. They ACTUALLY CUT my exhaust while installing the forementioned items, they ACTUALLY welded soft metal back together. Now if you work or had worked on auto's in your life you know you cannot weld soft metal to itself. You have to have something there to weld to it. They would not admit their mistake. They even drafted a letter and FORGED my signature to it. Saying the work done on my car was satisfactory. My father got involved (remember years ago) and helped me draft a letter of my own. To the President of Firestone. I cut up my Firestone credit card and mailed it along in the certified letter. His assistant called me a few times to discuss the matter but were at East coast time, by the time I got home from work, they were gone for the day. This was before cell phones were abundant kids. Well after that the bill that I had from this location was squashed by the President of Firestone. Chalk one up for the little guy! I have never ever gone back and tell others to do the same.
