A+ all around. I was very impressed with my experience with NOVA Junk from start to finish. They came on time within the reasonable window we were given, and called 15 minutes out to update us on their exact arrival time. They all arrived wearing masks and kept their personal distance, which I very much appreciate during COVID. The team that hauled our junk was friendly, hardworking, courteous, conscientious, respectful of our property, and also fast! They did a great job removing stuff from our property even though we were a little disorganized and even when they ran up against some difficulties (the fridge wouldn't fit out of the door but they said no problem we'll just remove your door and put it back on for you!). The pricing was fair, competitive for the area, and provided up front. There were no hidden fees or negative surprises. All in all I couldn't be more impressed and I highly recommend. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Nova Junk, Omar, Norman and Cheryl. I called regarding a store in which we needed to remove a ton of junk that had built up over 35 years. One item in particular was a huge challenge but these guys did it. We had a 1,500 to 2,000 lb safe in the store that was there when we moved in. It broke 2 or 3 1,000 lb dollies but these guys did it and did it with no damage to the store or themselves. They cleaned out an entire basement FULL of stuff in a couple of hours. They are AMAZING and so reasonably priced. Cheryl, their assistant, is just wonderful. It's family! Thank you to all of you. You made a difficult time for us just a little easier. Seamless service. I requested a quote from Nova Junk and they replied quickly with a super reasonable price. I scheduled a pick up and they were able to accommodate my requested date and time. The process was seamless. I was contacted about 15 minutes prior to arrival and it literally took no more than 3 minutes from the time they arrived, hauled away my items and accepted my form of payment. What's also great about Nova is they accept credit card payments at the time of removal. If I ever need any items hauled away in the future, without a doubt I'll be calling Nova Junk. Their prices are reasonable and the service is top notch! read more

I hired Nova Junk at the suggestion of a neighbor, to remove my old stove. It was a good decision. The person I spoke to for scheduling an appointment was friendly and helpful. When the staff came to pick up the stove, they called 25 - 30 minutes before they arrived, and once they were here, it took a matter of minutes to take away the old stove. I would hire them again, and would recommend them to others. read more

Last Friday, Rolland and Patrick from Nova Junk came to help me remove some old furniture. I was really impressed with the way they work: fast and no fuss! They were punctual and in a very short time, they completed the job. Will call them when I need help again and recommend to my friends who are moving or clearing clutter. read more

Great company Great overall experience with this company. I've used Nova Junk twice- once for getting rid of a hot tub and another time for removing some general household items. I made both appointment reservations with ease and on the day of service, the work was completed in a prompt and professional manner. read more

5 stars all the way. Timely response and great price. Courteous and efficient people.

These guys are GREAT!!!! They just came and hauled out two large sofas within minutes. They were courteous, efficient, and the cost was exactly as expected. I would use them again any time I had big things to move! read more

If you are looking for someone to haul your stuff away, look no further. Even though I didn't have a huge amount of junk, Norman was wonderful and accommodated my schedule, not to mention at a very reasonable cost. His team were on time and very efficient. I can't say enough good things about this company...and I am a very picky person. You won't go wrong choosing NOVA for hauling your junk away. read more

I'm not normally a bargain shopper for anything, let alone junk removal. I just want things done well and I want things done ASAP. I filtered the reviews and took the 2 closest companies with 5 stars, and asked for quotes using the Yelp app. I was pumped up the jam when the other company's quote was more than half less. And then they told me it was a typo and it was way more expensive! Byeeee. Decision made easy. NOVA Junk Removal's quote was totally reasonable for: providing a huge truck, coming to the house, being timely and nice, providing labor and muscles, doing the heavy lifting, and sending things off to get-out-of-my-sight-ville. I did all the quote collecting and time coordinating through Yelp messaging and iMessage. My outgoing message on my cell's voicemail says, "Hi, this is Cathy. Text me! BEEP." So messaging made my life easy peasy because I hate talking on the phone socially. My time frame for pick up, when they'd show up was 7-9am. On the day of, I got a call and voicemail that they'd be at my house in 20 minutes. See how I screened and didn't pick up the call?! I iMessaged the VM number, that we were home and ready. Two strong guys showed up and removed 4 couches from the first floor, and 1 seriously heavy elliptical from our second floor. I paid, I tipped, and dunzo. From there, they stayed outside and played Tetris-- organizing my furniture and furniture from a previous pick up. The entire process was just... so easy! I loved it. We're clearing out our house to do a major remodel in a couple months so I plan to use them again. read more

I used NOVA Junk in August 2016. I had initially called College Hunks Hauling Junk, but when they arrived, their estimate was more than twice what they quoted over the phone, so I turned them away. At NOVA Junk, I talked to both Omar and Norman. I felt both gentlemen were very honest in their estimate and forthright in what I could expect. And they honor Yelp, Military Discount and Angie's List. NOVA Junk was reasonable in their estimate so I scheduled a date. And I was so very glad I used NOVA Junk. I was extremely pleased with their service. I have split-foyer, 4-bedroom house, plus an upper deck, a storage room and an outside shed that I had to clean out. And I had 30-years of things to donate and get rid of. Upon arrival NOVA Junk was organized, they got started right away, walked through the house with me and asked for clarification where needed (what was junk what was going to charity) One area I was afraid they would balk at was the outside shed which was full of very yucky crickets and spiders. College Hunks guys didn't even want to look in the shed (I don't blame them because I was afraid to go in there). NOVA Junk did not hesitate to go in the shed. Not only did they get it completely empty, they cleaned the spiders and crickets out of my shed. And they blew off the leaves from my deck and swept up where leaves and other debris had tracked inside the house. I was so very very very impressed with NOVA Junk. The whole crew worked hard, quickly, and in less than a couple of hours they had completely filled two trucks worth of things to donate and junk. NOVA Junk was accurate in their price estimate and accurate with the time it took to complete the job. The guys were professional, friendly, and very thorough. I would definitely recommend NOVA Junk and I will use them again. My thanks to Omar and Norman and their crew! read more

Scheduling was easy first on the Yelp platform and confirmed via text message. Two nice young men came as scheduled (they actualy arrived slightly early). They were very polite and took all the junk. No surprise fees. I will definitely use them again. read more

Just another boring 5 Star review for this business. I wish more businesses, and our government, were as dedicated to excellence as NOVA Junk Removal is. I have now used them on two occasions and will have a third in the near future. In each case Omar was professional and highly motivated. They have multiple teams in the Maryland, DC, Virginia area. Omar is focused on Virginia. He and his team were quick, efficient, followed directions, took care of our house in the process of removing large awkward items, and an overal pleasure to do business with. Communication was outstanding, keeping us informed in advance and during the job. I highly recommend them. This is a quality business that deserves our support because it earns it, each and every job. read more

Nova Junk - Quickly loaded and now out of our way - Junk Removal & Hauling Near Me - Alexandria, Virginia

VERY good timely service. They delivered a 20yd dumpster for a week on time and with clear instructions. It helped me turn around an old home to put it up on the market for sale. The 2000 sq ft garage and 1600 sq ft storage room above it is now empty. Thanks to Nova Dumpsters and habitat for humanity. read more

When requesting a quote, I received one in a matter of minutes. The estimate was much more reasonable than other companies I contacted. Overall, the scheduling and communication was stellar. Three employees came to remove furniture and did so on time and called in advance. They were all extremely professional. As a woman living alone, I felt safe and that was very important. Thank you! read more

Super fast service, on-time, courteous and professional. NOVA Junk handled our job expertly. Definitely will go back to them in the future, and I highly recommend them for spring cleaning. read more

I was threatened by Norman E (owner) of a cancellation fee, despite not having any documentation, no cancellation policy and no signed agreement between a customer & Nova Junk. The driver nearly scratched the front end of my car upon backing up. He missed, but I saw it was an inch or two. He must be more carefully who navigating near other cars. The 2 men removed the couch w/ ease & no scuff marks on the walls. That was gr8. Norman E quoted me at $125. However, he told the driver to charge me between $135 to $145. Really? This begs the question of Norman's business practices of not adhering to the quote he gives to customers online. The driver gave me a fair price. That was appreciated. read more

Great service and easy to communicate. They called me before they arrived and after they left and sent pictures. Would highly recommend

Responsive, flexible and prompt. They even identified things I forgot them to haul away from our yard and asked if they should take them.

NOVA junk just left with a truck packed as full as possible of18 years accumulated goodies. As I retire and downsize from my home, I wanted to let go of hundreds of books, TVs, couches, multiple bags of clothes including about 20 suits I hope to never need again, and of course 1,000,000 wire coat hangers. I called, and spoke with someone at their office who gave me an idea on price, but said they basically come see the job and provide a no obligation free estimate. When I had to reschedule my appointment they were very accommodating. NOVA junk called to let me know they were on the way, and arrived at the end of the time window. I showed them the stuff and was told it was at least a full truck load, at $595. I agreed and they started immediately. I had stuff in my garage, basement, main level and top floor. After getting the main and lower level stuff in the truck, it was 3/4 full and I was concerned they would need to make another trip, but they worked hard at packing things in as tightly as possible. It would be an easy way for a company to pad their bill, but these guys did all they could to pack things in, and got everything in the truck. The workers were polite, friendly and never stopped moving. My hundreds of pounds of stuff was gone in a little over an hour. My only nit was they refused to take a box with anti-freeze, and a unopened can of motor oil. I would absolutely recommend them and use them again. read more

I've used Nova Junk twice now and they are always responsive, courteous and efficient. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if I need them!

They were fast and efficient! I literally put the project on Yelp last night and by morning I had a response, quote AND they had availability TODAY! I wholeheartedly recommend them! Can't say enough! This is second time I have used NOVA junk. Needed to remove some construction debris from a recent kitchen renovation. Very prompt and response - Omar and his team arrived at the exact time they told me and texted me 30 minutes before arrival. Very prompt and professional. Cleared all construction debris which included old cabinets, tiles, countertop, etc within 10 minutes and even sweep and cleaned up dust and other small debris. Was estimating 2 truck fulls but they compacted it down to only 1 and 1/4 truck. read more

Requested a quote here on Yelp and got a prompt response. Omar and his team were able to come the next day. They were fast and thorough. Unfortunately, I had more than one truckload (!!!!) but they were able to get to me again two days later. Right on time. Fast and thorough again. Definitely recommend. This was a tough move for me (single empty-nester down-sizing). So nice to have this part of it go so smoothly. Thank you, Omar! read more

Responsive and fast. Simple and straightforward. Just what you need in junk hauling business.

This company should be rated higher than 5 stars! If you want an efficient, cost-effective, reliable, professional & friendly crew to haul away your big, heavy, bulky stuff (& even the little stuff, too), then Omar's your guy! He also helped me get out of a jam when another company was supposed to show up the same day to pickup some other things & there was a "communication" problem, but Omar came through for us (by the way, we needed ALL items removed within 2 days, too). Needless to say, I would highly, positively recommend this company because of Omar, who went above & beyond! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Rose read more

Really enjoyed working with the folks at NOVA Junk. Norman was super responsive and helpful when I first reached out and then worked with me to send a bigger truck when I realized the day before my appointment that we'd have more junk than anticipated. The crew who did the job was extremely professional and followed COVID safety measures like wearing masks and keeping distance. read more

Texted them Sunday and they picked up my junk Monday morning. Their quote was much less than l all others I received too! The workers were unaware of the price I was given over the phone and I was charged more. But they went to the truck to clarify it, and came back and gave me the refund and apologized. I really appreciate them going that extra mile. Great company, will use again! Thanks guys! read more

Two very fine young men arrived in the time that they promised, and I understand that sometimes that is not possible. They were very respectful of my things and the removal was seamless. I attempted to help and they reassured me that they were professional and able gentlemen. Nova Junk was responsive and the price was good. I hope to use them again. read more

I called Nova Junk early this morning in need of someone to move and take my old couch and love seat by 8am tomorrow to make room for new furniture. It was not much notice but they had an appointment tomorrow morning in the 7-10 window, with the goal of arriving on the early side, so I booked it. Then Norman responded to by quote request on Yelp (I had left a voicemail and submitted a request on Yelp) and said they had an opening for 10am-1pm today! We exchanged info and they arrived just hours after I reached out and took the furniture. The price was reasonable (plus I used the $10 coupon on Yelp) and they were professional, courteous and responsive. I highly recommend Nova Junk and would use them again! read more

Nova Junk is an excellent removal service. I have used their junk service twice to remove furniture (large couch) and other household junk items that had built up. The service is affordable and the quality is very good for their manual labor. The reps and drivers communicate very timely/quickly on Yelp and by phone to confirm pick up details and location. I highly recommend to others and will continue to use myself. read more
