We needed a massive safe removed from our house that the previous owners left behind. Given it's weight and location in the basement, it was a bit problematic, especially given that it likely would have damaged the stairs. I cannot say enough good things about NOVA Junk -- the woman who gave me a quote on the phone was courteous, professional, understanding of my concerns and very accommodating. The movers called us 30 minutes before they arrived and showed up within the stated delivery window wearing masks and keeping their personal distance, which was much appreciated. We asked them to take a few more items than we mentioned during the initial quote and they were happy to oblige after giving us another extremely reasonable quote. We asked them if we could also pay them to move our heavy couch into our moving truck and they were happy to do so, even going so far as to help us remove the legs and get it into the actual truck itself. He asked if I had a screwdriver and I did, but not to worry if not because he would bring up his own. One of them mentioned that we were right to ask them to help with it, because it would have been very difficult for us. Truly consummate professionals. The team was given an incorrect address for our location, so it took a few phone calls for them to find us. Upon arrival, there was some confusion about the price. We worked it out, although we ended up paying a little more than the email estimate (despite being clear in the estimate about the sizes of the items that were being picked up). After they had left, I realized there was an issue with our gate that hadn't been there before. The team later denied accidentally hitting the gate with our heavy table. Fortunately, the gate was an easy fix for our property manager. They've offered us a $50 credit for future work, though I can't imagine any need for this service in the near future. read more

I was given a 4 hour window, and got a phone call only a few minutes into that window that the team was on their way. The three gentlemen who showed up were extremely kind and courteous. And when I asked if it was possible to include an additional mattress, they took it without charging extra. I needed attic and storage shed clean out quickly (moving out of my current home and time was of utmost importance). I called Nova Junk on Wednesday and spoke with Norman. He was kind and understanding and set up service for Friday. He called me back in a few minutes and said there was impending snow in the forecast so they might need to change the date or time. Since I was on a tight move schedule (the following Monday) and had packers and movers coming Saturday and Sunday, I explained to Norman and apologized telling him I would have to look elsewhere for this service since I couldn't take the chance of not getting the work done this week. Again, in a few minutes he called me back and asked if the work could be done the next day (Thursday) which I immediately and happily accepted. He told me they would arrive between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.. I was very happy and so pleased that Norman did everything possible to get me on their schedule within my short timeframe. Thursday morning, I received a call from Norman asking if they could come in 30 minutes....this was around 8 a.m.. Again, I was so pleased...the earlier the better!! When they arrived, the sent 2 trucks and 2 crews. My storage shed, my attic, and the front porch (full of boxes) was completely cleaned out (in under an hour and a half)....not just the junk, but they cleaned so well there was not one spot of dust, debris, leaves, dirt, or anything. Although my house is older and the shed is at least 20 years old, they now look brand new! Omar and Patrick led the crews and were amazing to work with. Omar may be one of the kindest people I have ever met. He went above and beyond to make sure I was happy, there was little disruption to me and everything was clean and tidy before they left. They even made sure the entry foyer and the hall to the entry to the attic were clean as well as the front porch and walk. On top of that, their price was more than fair. Every one of their employees were happy and respectful. That alone says a lot about Nova Junk. If I weren't moving out of the area, I would hire them again without hesitation.
