I have used this business multiple times to clear extensive amounts of clutter, most recently today 3-1-25. They always have rapid availability, are flexible in arrival and work efficiently and carefully. They always have very reasonable prices and are flexible in their payment methods. They are my go-to haulers! read more

I had this unused motion blind sitting in a closet taking up space for two years. One phone call & it was gone same day. Super affordable pricing & genuinely kind, respectful people. read more

Orlando was wonderful! My boyfriend and I just moved to dc and this had quite a bit of junk that needed removing. Orlando was quick to respond, came back to the place twice to help us declutter, and even helped up secure the correct garbage / recycling cans! Couldn't have asked for better service. read more

Matt and his crew helped me remove a washing machine. These guys are great! Very easy to schedule, showed up on time, problem-solved to get new washer into a small space, and hauled the old one away without an issue! Would definitely use again!! Very reliable and thorough! read more

I needed trash removal services (mixed materials). Mike's team (Including Orlando and Nate who came out to my request for service) was really professional and responsive. Their communication was prompt and they had great follow through. Spoke to Mike on Tuesday, the guys came out the next day to remove all trash as requested. Great experience from start to finish. Great value and service for trash removal and disposal. (Found them on Yelp after asking my friends for recommendations for a month and coming up short on a good trash removal company. So glad I did my own research and landed on them). Would highly recommend and will definitely use their services when needed again! read more

#1 rated service for a reason. Super fast response, easy to communicate with via text, really quick service, and they quoted me $200-ish and then charged $150 based on what the work actually took. Invoice came a few days later with a credit card payment button, so was easy for our business to process. I'd hire them again in a second. read more

Brandon and Clint were great. Initially I almost didn't go with them because they missed their appointment to give me a quote. However, they more than made up for it. They went above and beyond, gave me a stellar price, and really gave 5-star service. Would highly recommend and look forward to utilizing their service again in the future. Highly recommend. Mike (the owner) is really responsive as well. read more

Lance and the team are God sent. They are professional, punctual, and go above and beyond Without Question. I wouldnt recommend anyone else for an estate clean out than this group. What they did for me, taking care of every detail, at a fair price, and making me feel safe, understood, and taken care of, went so far above my expectations. Thank you Lance. You And your team are the best! read more

I had a FANTASTIC experience w/Michael at Action Junk Removal. First off, I had a job that needed to be done, and needed to get started yesterday! When I first called Michael, and asked him to come out for an estimate, he made time in his schedule to come out and take a look EARLY in the morning (7 am) just to accommodate my request to have the estimate & get the work done ASAP. I called NOVA Junk Removal and asked them when they could come out to give an estimate and they told me that they couldn't come and even take a look for over a week. So almost immediately NOVA was out, and Action was lookin' good. He came out for the estimate and we went through the entire property as I explained what I wanted moved, what I wanted to keep. As we walked through, he identified a few things that he could do to assist in keeping the costs down (Another plus that you don't find everywhere). I could tell that he was very knowledgeable in his field, and he gave me a fair & honest price for the work that was to be done. As far as the actual work was concerned, he and his team did an excellent job. Everyone was pretty friendly and courteous. The job did actually end up taking a little longer to complete than initially planned, but Michael made sure that he communicated everything with me (as soon as he became aware of the changes) and he gave me multiple options as to how we could proceed w/the completion of the project. Overall, the service I received was stellar. If you've got a job you need done and you want a fair price and a stress-free experience, you should most definitely give Action Junk Removal a call! I'm sure I'll be utilizing their services again in the near future! read more

We have been slowly completing demolition of our new house near eastern market. Michael and his crew have been to our house on multiple occasions. Each time I called Michael he was most accommodating, even able to show up the same day even within hours of my call. His crew is fast and fairy priced. I used a few other junk removers in between using Action Junk Removal and completely regret my decision. Other companies were much more expensive and very unprofessional. I will only use Action Junk Removal in the future and would recommend them to my friends and family. read more

Action Junk Removal - Gone! - Junk Removal & Hauling Near Me - Washington, DC, District of Columbia

I love great service and Michael deserves a shout-out. We had a very last-minute job of a HUGE amount of boxes after I inherited a building full of paperwork from my predecessors who were hoarders. Add into that a bit of a basement flood, and I was looking at a big wet mess. And some bathroom fixtures from our plumber, and I felt as though our usual trash guys would try and throw me in their truck too! I emailed Michael and within 10 minutes received a response (at 7PM) and a couple of confirmations shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, I realized that a lot of this stuff was too confidential and would need shredding instead, but will definitely contact Michael for when we move out furniture next year. read more

Everything about this process was easy. They came by as promised and charged a reasonable price. Would use again.

Very quick turnaround. I hired Action on Sunday during a move and they came the next day. Highly recommend

Great experience with these guys who I used based on Yelp reviews. 1. They answered the phone as soon as I called... late on a Saturday afternoon. (That alone is worth at least four stars.) 2. They scheduled an appointment to pick up my junk the next day. 3. They were a little late, but they notified me ahead of time and apologized for the inconvenience. (Whaaaaat? Is this real life?? Customer service in DC?) Mike communicated with me regularly, from first call to pickup. 4. They were really nice. Gotta love that. If only all service providers could be like this. read more

I needed a piece of furniture removed quickly to make room for its replacement. Called several companies and not only was Action Junk Removal the most affordable, they were able to schedule my pick up for the same day! They also called me thirty minutes before they arrived which I appreciated. I highly, highly recommend them for your junk removal needs. read more

The service was great! I had a 2 piece sectional and an office chair removed. The driver arrived on time and was very efficient. Very friendly service. Would definitely recommend. read more

Michael and his crew fought their way through a maze to get to my home the morning of the H Street Festival. They were courteous of our sleeping neighbors. They had the best price and it was nice to work with someone that is local. Michael responded to my email inquiry quickly. Setting up a time a date was really easy! Thanks guys! read more

I called Action Junk Removal on Monday and the next day Michael and his crew were onsite. They called ahead, as promised, and arrived on time to remove several pieces of furniture and some oversized boxes the city would not pickup. They were friendly, professional and farm strong! I enjoyed meeting them, they hauled away our stuff for cheap and I was happy to support a local businessman. Five stars without question! You couldn't ask for anything more. read more

Michael and his team were fantastic. It was easy to book them and they were very thorough in the pre-booking discussion about the nature of the job. Didn't even wince when I mentioned there were stairs involved. I work at a small theater, and I had them come to clear away a year's worth of theater debris (set pieces, flats, doors, windows, and wood/construction scraps). All the remnants of shows gone by. We initially agreed that it was roughly two truck's worth of stuff - I even emailed them a picture to give a better idea. What took me two days to gather and put in one place, they cleared in less than 3 hours. The team of four started work around 9:45am and were done by lunch. All of the men were very polite, very respectful and very efficient (in spite of the stairs!). AND they got everything to fit into ONE truck by means of some insane tetris-style stacking. Which saved me money on the initial estimate we had predicted. And Michael was super understanding when I went to use the theater company card and ran into some snags (couldn't remember which zip code was tied to the card) and we couldn't process it right away. He waited super patiently while I got in touch with some other people to get the right information. All in all, a great experience. Would 100% book them again next time our theater needs to clear out the scene shop. :) read more

Let's be honest. Cleaning out a house, basement or property area is hard work and that is why we hire someone else to do it for us. Action Junk Removal was my choice for the clean out of a foreclosure property. Even though my job did not make Michael's top ten worst list, it was a big job to clean house, basement and yard. Michael and his professional, courteous and pleasant demeanor set the tone for the job and the crew. They started my job on a Sunday afternoon and worked with the energy and attitude as if my job was the first of the day. It was not, it was the last one after a long busy weekend. Without hesitation hire Michael and his crew. I will the next time I need his help in the DC area. read more

**Highest recommendation** This is a wonderful service! Michael is highly professional, reasonably priced, and a really nice guy. I needed a large amount of pretty gross trash hauled out of the yard of a vacant building adjacent to my two-flat, and these guys made it seem like no big deal even though the gate was nailed shut and they had lift some of the trash over a 6 foot fence. Like - wow! It was a HUGE deal! And now my tenants don't have to worry about vermin or the like getting cozy in that pile of trash. They also agreed to add another pile that my contractor left (he was getting it a few days later, but I was thrilled to have it gone right way) for a very reasonable additional charge. They are in my list of professional services to call first - and I've already hired them again for another job! Totally thrilled. Call them. You'll be totally pleased. Really! read more

They came extremely quickly, same afternoon. Very courteous. Quote was given upon arrival. $300 for what you see in the photos. About 8 wood paneling panels, some insulation, and about 300 sq ft of carpet along with about 6 wooden shelf boards. Lain flat I would estimate about 4 cubic yards prior to compacting. I did not know what to expect price-wise so I am including the information for your information. It cost more than I expected, but I may have had unreasonable expectations. We did not have time to shop for competing estimates, so we did it. read more

We needed an old sofa taken away, and it was great working with Action Junk Removal. Michael was terrific to deal with from start to finish. He was able to have his team do the pick-up same day, and everything from scheduling to payment with him was easy. (They take lots of forms of payment, including Venmo.) Doing the pickup, Brandon was just as friendly and helpful, calling ahead of arrival to work out the details, and he and his colleague made quick work of the removal. I'd absolutely use them again and recommend them to friends. read more

I called on a Sunday afternoon about having a large, sectional sleeper couch removed and was so impressed when Michael answered right away. We were able to schedule the removal for the next day. The gentleman that showed up was extremely professional and brought everything he needed for the job. He did a great job dismantling the piece (the couch was so big that it literally needed to be sawed into pieces) and removing everything. The job was done quickly and efficiently for a fair price. Will definietly call them again if we need anything taken away. read more

They did a great job carefully removing my old kitchen cabinets, dishwasher, sink and laminate counters, and even offered to salvage what they could to donate, which I really appreciated! The whole job including cleanup was done in less than 3 hours with a two person crew. read more

So I would highly recommend this group. I had the pleasure of working with Mike Mason on a simple refrigerator movement job. My experience with Action Junk Removal showed me that they will give you a good price, they will do their best to get the job done right, and if they don't they will do the right thing for the customer. There is a reason these guys get high ratings! read more

If I could give 10 stars, I would. I talked with Mason, very good and gave me a good price. My two queen box springs were picked up a few hours later by Orlando, also a great guy who gave me some insight in DC, as we have only been here for a month or so. Thanks, when we have more to be carted away, I will certainly call again. read more

I had an excellent experience hiring Action Junk Removal. I was in McLean, preparing my parent's house for sale after they moved to CA (near where I live). I was out for only a couple of days and needed hauling on one day's notice. Called Michael after checking Yelp reviews and other sources. Glad I did. I try to support local businessmen when I can and in this case it really paid off. Initially, I only needed a small load, but the thought of shipping everything out to CA and dealing with it there just seemed ridiculous. Fortunately, Michael had a truck and an evening opening that could accommodate my needs and schedule and I was able to dispose of many more items than I originally planned. Michael and his crew of two additional men loaded everything in about an hour. They were personable and professional. His pricing considering the extra items was great, too. I highly recommend Action Junk Removal for all your hauling needs. As the five star rating says: as good as it gets! read more

Michael Mason and his company Action Junk is fantastic. We were moving from DC to Montgomery Village and had furniture to move, to junk and needed assistance in wall mounting a 490" tv in the living room. Also part of the deal was assembling an entertainment unit and seting up the stereo and bluray player. He and his crew were albe to do ALL that perfectly. This was truly a trifecta of services in one company. You have no idea how much money I saved combining three distinct operations into one. Best was that Michael and his crew were professional, congenial and efficient. I cannot recommend him highly enough. The price for all I needed done was incredibley reasonable. BRAVO MICHAEL ! read more

We had some stuff we needed removed (old couch etc) and called around to different companies early on a Sunday. This is the only company who didn't go right to voicemail. Working with Michael and team was awesome! We had them clear out some old junk that was left in the attic when we bought our old dc house. The team didn't have a problem getting up in the attic, had a good and efficient system of moving things down the ladder then outside to the truck. They even swept up the entry way once everything was on the truck. Michael was super easy to communicate with for scheduling and the work came in right on the quote, which is very reasonable and much less than what I was seeing on national brand's websites. Definitely will be using Mike and team again! read more

Great service, nice guys, very fair prices. I needed an old mattress hauled away and they were able to do it the same day. Highly recommend.

If I could give this company 20 starts I would. They are extremely PROFESSIONAL, efficient and work so hard. They didn't miss a beat and literally emptied an entire house for me in DC in the 100 degree weather. I spoke with Michael initially and he walked me through all the steps of what would be happening with the junk removal. They left everything clean and perfect. Couldn't be happier with their service and I will be referring them and using them in the future. read more

EXCELLENT SERVICE. Five Stars for Action Junk Removal. Mike, the Wizard of Oz or "the Man behind the Curtain" is super text or telephone responsive. He and his team accommodated my tight schedule and I was even able to add on an additional visit at a moment's notice. The rates were more than fair. The crew themselves were wonderful. Brandon and Pops were polite and courteous. Orlando was a gentleman and a political savant; we had a good old-time talking politics. They were fast and efficient and hauled all my junk away in no time. DO NOT HESITATE to call Action Junk Removal. Noelle Sommer read more
