Action just left my apartment and did such a great job that I wanted to make sure to get a review up as soon as possible - not that the 5 stars will help their average since it appears everyone received the same great service. I had some stuff in my apartment that I'm not moving and looked up junk removal on yelp. After reading Action's reviews, I sent Michael an email. He called and scheduling was a breeze. We also talked to confirm a week before. Michael gave me a call 20 minutes prior to arrival to let me know his progress and confirm the logistics with parking. Michael and Maurice were efficient and friendly. It was like having a buddy with a truck help out. They were in and out within 30 minutes. The price was the same as Michael estimated on the phone. Michael's easygoing personality and attention to detail is much appreciated. It comes naturally to him but it is a breath of fresh air during an otherwise stressful time. I'd highly recommend Action to anyone. read more

Quick, efficient, and reasonable. I had a relatively small job, but they had it completely resolved LESS THAN ONE HOUR from my phone call to them! That's why full 5 stars. read more

Leaps and bounds above the competition. It wasn't just the fact that they beat 1-800-GOT-JUNK on price, they were quick, friendly and responsive to my needs. Michael Mason (Owner) is a local, small business man that made the experience of removing junk from my office, great. He comes highly recommended from me. I am glad I selected these guys from the options. read more

Don't waste your time looking at other companies, YOU WONT FIND BETTER. Great service, good rates, professional, reliable, straightforward, quick and hard working.. It is great to be able to work with and support small, family-run, local business too. 100% recommend without hesitation. read more

They are angels! I was moving out of my apartment in DC (DuPont area), and called them in the morning to ask if they could come pick up my mattress and bed frame (it was all very last minute). They came within an hour and a half! The movers were very friendly, and moved everything out of the apartment building very quickly! Only cost me $100 which wasn't bad at all considering how last minute everything was. Thanks Action Junk Removal! read more

Very professional. Their prices beat the other guys. Family owned too. Would recommend to a friend or family member.

Michael Mason was great to work with; he is very friendly, conscientious and professional. He was quick to get me an estimate on hauling two piles of concrete and his price was very reasonable. He and his crew was quick and prompt. I highly recommend Action Junk Removal!! read more

Michael is extremely professional, courteous, and personable in addition to being both responsive and timely. He was very responsive in calling me back about my initial request. He arrived around the scheduled time frame he gave me. He was able to provide a quote at a very reasonable rate (especially having used the very expensive 1-800-Got-Junk once before) and then quickly removed all the cinder blocks, shed pieces, and contractor bags I wanted removed. It doesn't get easier than that. read more

I messaged Action Junk Removal and requested a quote. I received a response right away. Two days later they were at our house on time. I was speaking with a plumber inside and didn't get the message that they were outside. Before I could even get outside they had everything in their truck already. They were quick and the price was right! We couldn't ask for better service! They made this process smooth and effortless for me and my husband. This is who we will be calling the next time that we have to have large furniture or junk removed from our property. read more

Hired Michael and his crew to demolish my backyard deck, about 10ftx8ft. They came on-time, were careful not to harm the siding of the house, and were very efficient in their demolition work. Charged a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend. read more

Our backyard was a disgusting disaster zone. Both weeds and construction debris from a DIY project we did in our house. We had them haul away the junk and weed our yard. They were friendly, professional and most importantly did a very good job. read more

I called and left a message on Sunday. By 11 am on Monday I hadn't heard back so I called again. The voicemail box was full. I called another company and still hadn't heard back by the time my stuff had been hauled away. read more

This man is the kindest, most generous man I've worked with in a long time. He was on time, friendly, flexible and reliable. He had a big job to do for us and kept me updated on the status of the job at all times and took pictures when he was finished. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

I used Action yesterday for a somewhat challenging job and they were simply wonderful. Not only does Mike answer the phone (or text) almost immediately, but they were able to come very quickly and the job was over in short order. Mitchell, who did our job, was so nice and so efficient. He cleaned up the area nicely when leaving. The price was reasonable as well. I simply cannot say enough nice things about our experience. We will use them whenever we need help. read more

After having read all of the great yelp reviews, I called Michael yesterday morning to see if he was able to come pick up all of the furniture I was not going to take with me when I moved that day. He called me back very quickly and scheduled a time in the evening to pick everything up. They did a wonderful job of working on the small city street I lived on and couldn't have been nicer. The price was exactly what I expected and I would absolutely use them again and refer any friends to them. read more

All in all, super sweet and friendly, and once he was there, he worked really quickly. I'm knocking off one star only because he said he'd be there between 12-2 (on a Saturday), and he didn't get to my place until 3:15 (and I had to be somewhere at 3:30). But I'd definitely use them again as they were fairly priced and really friendly. :) read more

Great team of professionals! Michael and his team were punctual, professional and fast! We needed our basement walls and ceiling stripped down to the 2 X 4's for a variety of reasons and this job was done and done quickly! They cleaned up the area following the demolition and hauled away the remnants of the room plus some extra junk we had accumulated on the property. We would not hesitate to call them again! read more

Very helpful when I needed to remove large pieces of trash from a work site. Great customer service and affordable!

Just the nicest guy. Efficient with great prices. Responded quickly to my inquiry and completed the pickup the following day. Thank you!

Incredible service! The owner and his son do great work and are a pleasure to do business with. When I called for my initial quote, the owner was out and asked me to hold on for a moment. When he returned to the phone, he explained he had been in line paying for something and didn't want to be rude by ignoring the cashier. Good manners and respect aren't always easy to find these days and I am always grateful when I encounter them. He managed to fit me in during a busy week because I was in from out of town and needed to have this service done immediately on my mother's old place. I cannot recommend them enough and when I have to finish clearing out the rest of the house you can be sure I will call them again. read more

Michael was great to work with. Very friendly and responsive to emails and calls. He and his coworker got the job done quickly and gave us a very fair price. I will definitely be using them again in the future. read more

I contacted Action Junk Removal to haul junk and other unwanted items from my mother's house since we are preparing it to sell. The team of two guys removed everything that we listed (and more) with ease. We had items to remove on three floors and it required creative maneuvering of some tight angles (it was fun watching him saw through our sofa). All of this all on a 90-degree day. They were pleasant and gave excellent customer service. read more

Mike was so great. He was available the day I called and was on time and responsive. He and Orlando were very friendly and efficient. Price was reasonable also! read more

Amazing service. Excellent communication and picked up my junk the same day I called and on a Sunday no less! Highly recommend these folks.

I was so happy with Michael's work to remove an old garden shed and sand from our large sandbox. He and his team were efficient, courteous, and left our backyard very clean. It was easy to get in touch with Michael and he quickly provided a competitive quote and scheduled a time to come by. I would highly recommend Action Junk Removal and would definitely use them again! read more

Michael is Amazing!... He saved the day! I needed my apartment emptied the NEXT day for a job relocation. Yes, I procrastinated.... In the midst of my pricing and reservation frustration, Michael was very nice, prompt in returning my phone call, and reassured me he could handle the job, particularly under such short notice. The best part was that the services was not expensive (like many of the other hauling companies I contacted). The team arrived on time, and were super polite and efficient. I would highly recommend Action Junk Removal to anyone! Thanks Again! read more

Michael was extremely helpful in getting items moved out of my apartment. He was very accommodating and follows up quickly to make sure everything is moved out. Mike jack hammered and removed a couple tons of concrete from my backyard. He's very friendly and does good clean work. I'll be using him again soon for another project. Excellent. read more

These guys are great. I had a bunch of old junk in my basement taking up space. The owner came over and suggested a 2 man crew for the job. The next morning the crew showed on time with all the necessary tools and equipment. They cleaned my basement out in about 1 hour and did a fantastic job. There price was a lot cheaper than what other companies were charging. I will use them again and recommend them with 5 stars. read more

Can't praise these guys highly enough. Extremely prompt, courteous, and easy to deal with. Threw a curveball at Michael at the last minute (some extra stuff to haul), and he handled it easily with only a trivial price increase. Call these guys, you will be happy you did. read more

I called them on a Saturday to have a couch and a few other small furniture items hauled away. Michael was able to schedule me in for the next day. The crew was very professional, quick, and fairly priced. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again. Great service. read more

Michael was fantastic. He was incredibly responsive and flexible. Super pleased with this operation! Getting quote was easy and Orlando could not have been more pleasant while at our home.

Mike helped me get rid of a small shed, a couple of shelves, and some assorted junk. The best experience. I called on a Sunday morning around 11 am. Everything was done by 3 pm! At by far the best price I received (I had two other estimates). Mike was super polite, great communications via text, and excellent service. Will definitely use him again. read more

Michael Mason was great! He showed up on time, offered a very reasonable price, did an excellent job and even swept my garage floor after. He is courteous, dependable and honest. I'd recommend him without reservation to anyone. read more

Unimpressed. Tried to call, but message says voicemail is full. Went to website and filled out a request. No call in 72 hours. I found another junk hauler. read more

Mr. Mason was extremely friendly and accommodating. Salvation Army missed the pick up for my mattress after I moved away and it was ruined in the rain. I needed an emergency pick up organized from Connecticut and he was more than accommodating. He picked up the mattress + boxspring and frame for a very reasonable price on that same day. Excellent business. read more

I called Michael on the same day we wanted junk removed from our garage. He answered promptly and was polite and helpful. Despite it being a weekend he could pick up the same day. He offered a quote that was way below others we'd received. It turned out that our schedules didn't match so we agreed to move the junk out of our garage so Michael could pick it up while we were out. On doing this I discovered we had more than I'd initially said. I warned him via text and he was very cool about it - I offered more money for the extra stuff - he declined and took everything away. Having had too many disappointing experiences with DC contractors it made a really refreshing change to deal with someone who was communicative, reliable and not just out to make as much money as possible. (It was also the hottest day of the year). Use Action Junk Removal!!! read more
