I will say that the cram cheese frosting was a bit too sweet for my personal taste, but the cake itself was so moist and delicious! It came with little chocolate chips baked inside of it, too! It's about $6.50 per cake (small but bigger than a cupcake) and the service is great! The shop in Grandville on 44th is clean and very inviting. Small bakery with a boutique feel. I ordered a last minute cake online for a special occasion around 8am and picked it up at my appointment time of 11am. The store smelled heavenly. The employee was fast to retrieve my order and double checked inside the box to make certain everything was correct before handing it over to me. A few hours later, I unboxed it. The cake was beautiful, with a silk hydrangea on top. But the taste! It was a basic vanilla cake. That's such an understatement! It was hands down the best cake I've ever had, and everyone else was in agreement! 3 days later and I'm still dreaming of just one more bite lol. Went here on a Saturday afternoon. Not busy and didn't have to wait to pick out what we wanted. They more over had to wait for us to decide. Now I've had many of them before when work got them for us. I liked those and decided to get some for me and my wife. Finally we make our decision and elect to get a lemon, white chocolate raspberry, carrot, and strawberries and cream. They are $5 a piece, but well worth it if you want to splurge a bit. My boyfriend and I were tasked with getting a small cake for a family birthday celebration recently, specifically one from Nothing Bundt Cakes! I went online to check out the options and considered pre-ordering one with decorations since they have lots of options for different events and celebrations but I didn't really know if we needed something so elaborate with flowers, ribbons, etc. The website was also a little confusing to me when I started clicking around as each specialty cake had tons of options that didn't always seem clear to me. I ended up calling to see what options they usually have to grab and go and the person on the phone was very helpful, polite, and kind. All my questions were answered and the employee was very knowledgable. I decided we could just pick one up on our way out of town. When we stopped in, the employee who helped us was very pleasant and polite. The level of customer service was really nice to see and I would definitely go back. I received a cake as a gift this past week and it was delicious! The cake was delivered to my front door contact free and came in a Nothing Bundt Cakes branded tote. It looked absolutely perfect! Instructions said to refrigerate, and remove from refrigerator 2 hours before serving. I invited my siblings over to help eat it and between the 6 of us we only finished about half! Wasn't sure what to expect when I receive a coupon for a free "buntette" , their smaller sized bunt cakes, but walking in on Wednesday I found a warm, homey cake shop with a friendly staff. True to their name, they sell only bunt cakes, but the taste selection and different sizes provided a lot of choices. I went with their carrot cake as I knew my husband would want to split it with me, but the sample of their signature red velvet cake would make me come back for one on my own. I made a mental note to remember to call them for a cake for an upcoming birthday. Only difficult thing was finding the shop- it's located across the street/kitty corner from Target on 28th street. If u sign up to get emails, they even give u a free bundlet (personalized-sized cake) on your birthday. So I was in California very near a store just before my birthday. I used to live close to one when I lived in Manhattan Beach years ago. I had much sadness when I did not get to get my free bundlet and did not get to introduce my non-dessert friend to these previous little morsels. So I did a little research. There is 1 store in Lafayette, Indiana...about 2hrs from my house in Fort Wayne. :(. And there is one in east Grand Rapids...about 35 minutes from where I am moving to! So I get to the Grand Rapids store (little tricky to find), but I drove 20+ minutes out of my way to get my bundlet. I got 2 - one for my son and 1 for me (mine was free). When I got home, I'm was so excited to share this with my son. His was chocolate & mine confetti. We both had a couple of bites (1/4 of a cake) got interrupted. I usually automatically put everything on the counter out of reach of the dog. But when I came back to eat some more.....I saw the empty container and I screamed so hard....the dog ate my bundlet! I ranted for at least a day or 2. I tell you this to show my passion for this cake. Eventually within a couple of weeks, again I went out of my way to buy myself another bundlet and made sure the dog was nowhere in sight when I got to enjoy my treat. The bundlet is a perfect size for a little gift or if u just want to lift someone's day. They r about $4-5 depending on where u live...(bigger than a cupcake). They make the cakes at each store and come in so many flavors. Of course, they won't tell u the recipe, but they will tell u that is sour cream in the recipe...which makes it moist. We were greeted by sweet and friendly staff, and offered a free sample if red velvet bundt. I'm gluten free, so I passed, but my 4 year old gladly obliged. I took it in my hands to give to her, and I noticed right away a light and airy texture. Then....there it was......a (wait for it)......gluten free bundtlet! !!! This was mine!!! There's only one flavor: chocolate chip cookie, but hey : one flavor beats no flavor, right??? I grabbed a chocolate/ chocolate chip for the family and the gluten free bundtlet for me. My family all raved about the cake saying it was light, airy and the perfect amount of flavor.....and the icing was amazing (according to them, but it was unanimous! ). I enjoyed my gf bundtlet. It wasn't so sweet that I was overwhelmed, and I had enough to split it into a few snacks over a few days- each day was good. The gf cake didn't dry out like others do- so I loved that. Overall, I'd go back there since I can please everyone in the family, and everyone seems to like it.
