There are very few restaurants in the area that have decent desserts available for delivery. Notch8 has become on of my gotos for desserts - with a guava desert pizza (GuavaHaveIt), these little donut hole like sugar donuts (Sugar Fried Donuts), and Bread pudding being my favorites. read more

Went there on a Thursday night around 7 and it was a little busy, (they said it was their first slow night!) but we got a table and the service was great. Ordered chicken fajita dip and pesto white pizza, awesome. Local beers on tap. The atrium room is a little louder than the bar room. read more

I brought my family from out of town here to have dinner. The outdoor patio was so lovely, but.....the food was not. The salmon was undercooked and the puddle of grease that accompanied the veggies was easily 1/4 cup. Onion soup was tasteless and also heavily laddened with grease. Out of four peoples dinner the only thing decent was the burger. So sad and disappointed. read more

We love Notch 8! We moved to Bethel about two years ago from Wilmington, Delaware. One of our favorite things about living in CT is taking visitors out for a solid pizza tour. Notch 8 is our go to spot for ending our pizza tours and it never disappoints! My favorite is the basic white girl. The garlic knot platter with dipping sauces is a fan favorite too! read more

I've been ordering takeout via phone from here for the past year and today they informed me that they no longer accept phone orders and refused to answer any questions regarding the menu. One of the people I was ordering for is pregnant and therefore has dietary restrictions and I found this incredibly rude. The person on the phone told me to direct my questions to their online ordering service which made no sense because the answer wouldn't be there. To top off the experience they hung up on me. Everything we had was outstanding, loaded tots, nachos, wings and a couple of different pizzas. Service was excellent as well and I really liked the atmosphere too. Not sure why so I called Yelp and spoke to someone named Cameron who was rude and told me that he couldn't tie up his sales line to talk to me about this. He referred me to the Yelp Support page, told me to have a good day and hung up. Let's see if my review below is now viewable... A group of four of us sat at the bar and ordered a bunch of things to sample and share. Everything was amazing. Chicken fajita dip was very tasty and unique. My absolute favorite restaurant in Bethel. Always a great selection of limited time pizzas (birria taco pizza was my favorite) and classics to choose from (hot honey roni for the win). My son loves the burgers and Mac & cheese is great too. Great outdoor patio with stand heaters for when it gets chilly, and friendly staff makes this a great place to meet up after work or for a family night out. read more

Stopped here for the first time while in the bethel area. I heard this place was new and I was very impressed!! We sat outside, and it was nicely kept especially under the given circumstances. Waitress was very polite. We started w fried pickles and a pretzel. Pickles were absolutely amazing. I would recommend cutting them a little bit thinner but still delicious. My brother loved the pretzel! We could not quite figure out what flavor was added on top but we loved the taste of it. My brother got a the Margherita pizza. He said he loved it and noticed how fresh the basil tasted. My dad a chicken sandwich and was impressed with how much chicken there was. I got the salad pizza with no cheese and red sauce. The crust was amazing. I would have recommend cutting the tomatoes more so I could evenly disperse it across the pizza and slightly more dressing but overall not bad!! If I'm in the area again I would def come back to try more types of pizza. read more

Went there Thursday night last week. Sat at the bar as full and the wait for more than 30min for a table. Typical pub food. Nothing extravagant. Ordered two burgers which were just ok. Not very accommodating couldn't split my portion of fries for half salad which I often do as portions tend to be big. We had to wait quite some time for the food as they were very busy. Probably will go there again to check if my first impression is confirmed. If yes, then just another place like so many. read more
