In the area for one night, I was in the mood for a banh mi. I hadn't eaten all day, so I knew I was going to order more than just a sandwich. I was greeted very warmly when I walked in, and handed a menu. After looking it over, I decided on the chicken banh mi, the vegetarian (tofu) vermicelli bowl, and an order of spring rolls. I thought the banh mi was pretty good. Not the best I've had, and the bread seemed just a tiny bit on the stale side (maybe because it was close to closing time?). Portion-wise, it was average. Flavor-wise, it leaned more towards the sweet side than the spicy side, which isn't my favorite thing in a banh mi. But overall, it was OK. The spring rolls were tasty. Average-sized portion, nice sauce for dipping. For me, the star of the meal was the vermicelli bowl. I loved it. The portion was very generous, packed with noodles and lots of tofu. And best of all, lots of flavor. Like the banh mi, not much there in terms of spiciness, but it still managed to hit all the right notes for me. Food-wise, I'd give the place 3 1/2 stars, but when you factor in the excellent, friendly service, it easily merits 4 stars. If I lived in the area, I'd be a regular. read more

I ordered through Grubhub and the experience was great. I ordered the pho with all meats and banh mi pork. Both are delicious and hot. My only complaint was there was not much meat. So I really want this place to succeed....but after today, it may be my last. I've come here numerous times because I think the food is great! But due to poor management I won't be coming back. They close randomly and always running out of food. So I usually have to call ahead to ensure they have banh mi or grilled pork that day.....but sometimes don't even answer the phone... Today a girl did answer the phone, but quickly placed me on hold as she was finishing up with a customer. I waited and waited and waited....she never came back to the phone! Ten minutes later, I arrive to find a not so busy restaurant and see her playing on her phone. Go to place my banh mi ordered only to find out they were out! I told her that I called and she placed me on hold....she picked up the phone to realize I was still on hold!!! Guess I'll have to find a new banh mi shop!! read more

Fairly small, cute hole in the wall restaurant. Friendly service from the cashier and the cook. The cook actually came out and visited with some of his local costumers and checked on us and our satisfaction, which was very nice. My fiancé and I had the combination (all the meat) pho which was very good, perfect for a cold day. Instead of setting the bean sprouts to the side, like most pho restaurants, they go ahead and add it to the soup so you'll have to request it to be separated if you don't like that. I also got the Thai ice coffee which was delicious and gave me the much needed caffeine boost. Also, instead of the typical menu with 5,000 options, the menu is short and simple. They offer kid versions of each entree which I also really like. I had the pho with sliced rare steak and it was some of the best pho I've ever had - everything was extremely fresh. My wife and two of the kids enjoyed their vermicelli bowls. The third kid had the fried rice with chicken. I tasted it and it was delicious. The owner (I assumed it was the owner) and staff were very friendly and helpful. Came here with my mother on our prom dress search trip, and we both ordered nearly the same thing-- strawberry hibiscus tea (mine had boba :D), tofu spring rolls, and vegetarian pho. The best tofu I've ever had hands down. My husband wouldn't stop raving about his bahn mi and the spring rolls were perfection. You could taste the mint and it made the flavor pop really nicely.
