Went here on the way home from work and a Costco run. I was excited since my coworkers raved about their food. I know it's busy and it's a Saturday night but, I think they've could've done way better on their customer service. Took about 10 mins standing by the front door to get seated, there were a few tables and booths opened but they weren't cleaned for new customers. Finally got a table, immediately ordered my food. Still had to wait awhile. Even a guy that got seated way after me, had his food ready. So they must've forgotten my order...waited 28 mins, got water, some pho and that's it only half my order. Oh well, the food is alright but not worth the trouble waiting. The place is has a good vibe, but they're too slow on customer service. Also the single door entry and exit is a major bottle neck especially on a cold winter day. They forgot my Vietnamese coffee until the end like my combination plate. For DFW metroplex (even Texas), it rare to find a good Vietnamese restaurant. I've eaten at too many and none has wowed me. This restaurant overall is very decent for Texas. The only one that uses rice paper for their cha gio, Thats how they make it in Vietnam. I like it better than the Chinese egg roll wrapper. read more

never I'm craving good Vietnamese food, my go-to lunch spot is My Lan. My coworkers and I order from there every other week. I've tried almost everything on their menu! One day, we decided to take a break from the office and have lunch at the restaurant itself. Located in Alliance Town Center on the Sam Moon side, My Lan offers plenty of parking. The place gets busy on weekends during lunch, but it's always clean, with lots of tables and plenty of natural light. My current favorite is the grilled pork and eggroll vermicelli. I usually ask for extra sauce because I love to have every bite covered in it. The service is courteous, and the food comes out quickly. I visited this restaurant when the dining area was nearly empty and ordered meals for my wife, daughter, and myself. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The egg rolls were cooked on the outside but still undercooked inside. My wife's meal arrived first, my daughter's plate came about five minutes later, and mine still hadn't arrived by the time my wife finished eating--so I canceled my order altogether. On top of that, I was charged for a tea that was supposed to be complimentary, and it was overly sweet to the point of being undrinkable. This was my third attempt at giving this place a chance, and sadly, it will be my last. I just don't understand the appeal, as the quality and service have consistently fallen short. read more

My go to order is egg rolls and chow fun. It's the crispy fried flat noodles with vegetables and protein. My favorite is the chicken one but it's something you must try! Hopefully they give you a spoon to eat the sauce with, if not just ask. Lately we've also been getting the strawberry white chocolate boba drink. We are at MyLãn again. Today is cloudy and cool so it's a great day for some delicious Pho. Since I'm a diabetic they substitute the noodles with vegetables and I'm in heaven. For an appetizer we have their famous egg rolls; you get 5 with a vegetable plate which is leaf lettuce, bean sprouts, sliced cucumbers, mint and carrot/hiccama slaw. The service is amazing even if they are busy, our favorite server is Hi, yes that's his name. They have plenty of room for large parties or booths for smaller gatherings. This is our favorite Pho restaurant, if you have never tried pho you are missing out, this stuff is addictive. Another favorite is Korean BBQ with a generous portion of ribblets on a huge mound of fried rice. DELICIOUS!! My dad and I stopped here for lunch while I'm visiting DFW for break. My parents have eaten here a number of times and really like it, but it was my first time. There is plenty of parking in the plaza. We both ordered the house special bun thit nuong. Best vermicelli bowl I've had! The grilled meat was smoky and grilled to perfection, super flavorful. The egg rolls were crispy and the filling was amazing. The fried shrimp cake was the best part, super crunchy and delicious. The portion is huge for your price, and the sweet fish sauce it came with was perfectly sweet and umami. There were fresh veggies and pickled veggies in the bowl that added a really nice touch of freshness. The food tastes really authentic and matches the Vietnamese homemade food I grew up eating at home. The service is great as well! Super attentive and friendly. My go-to is the Combination Pho, but I tried something else this time around and went with the Grilled Pork Patty (Nem Nuong) Spring Roll and the Korean BBQ. Have eaten here once before and it was good. During this visit I had shrimp spring roll and shrimp with rice noodles. Spring roll was large and good. Not really my thing, but no complaints...a nice start to dinner. My pho (shrimp, rice noodles, side of bean sprouts and jalapenos and lime) was served quickly...and it was a fairly large portion. Pricing is very fair in my opinion. Very flavorful and I think next time I'll dive more into the spice options...I like it spicy! Service was quick and appropriate. My Lan has been an institution in Haltom City for many, many years. This new bistro location is located in the busy Alliance area and closer to me. The decor is modern and super clean. There have several tables and booths for small and large parties. Aside from the food, they have solid boba drinks. My Lan is known for their Thai tea and they also have che here as well. The food is the same, if not better, than the other locations. They have the same yummy eggrolls here. You gotta wrap those babies with veggies and dip them in fish sauce. The pho is loaded with meat and leaves you satisfied. That's coming from someone who is usually not a fan of restaurant pho. They also have bun bo hue and it's pretty good too. You can't go wrong with any of their rice plates. They have different combinations to please anyone. The vermicelli bowls are the perfect choice for a light and refreshing meal. All of the fried rice are on point. Not too greasy and the portions are generous. But my favorite dish? That would be any of the salt and pepper dishes, ie salt and pepper squid, tofu, or shrimp. I love the crispy exterior and the dipping sauce it comes with. Perfect with steamed rice. I love having this location close to home. It's convenient to stop in for to-go orders or just drop in after seeing a movie nearby. I will say, they can be understaffed as with many restaurants so a little patience goes a long way. Let's talk about my favorite items on their menu: * Egg Rolls (Chả Giò): This appetizer is the best out there. You can either order 2 or 5 egg rolls. I say go big or go home! I always get 5 pieces. They come with fresh lettuce, mint, & other herbs to make wraps. The egg rolls have a crunchy outer coating packed with a savory filling. Dip those fried goodies in fish sauce, and you can't go wrong. *Rice plate - Grilled Pork, Sugar Cane Shrimp, & sunny side up egg (Com Thịt Nuong, Chạo Tôm, & Trứng ốp la): The rice plate is essentially broken rice with any combination of items you want on there. You can be creative and take your pick on some of the common choices: pork, beef, chicken, egg rolls, sugar cane shrimp, and/or shrimp tofu. I love my broken rice plate with an extra sunny side up egg to give it that extra wow factor. Remember, you can always request your combination if it's not spelled out on the menu * Vermicelli bowl with Grilled Pork & Egg Rolls (Bún thịt nuong, chả giò): This dish is a beautiful combination of protein, carbs, & veggies. If you love a little heat, my recommendation is to use the red chili sauce and stir it into your fish sauce. Then pour that nice concoction over your vermicelli bowl for added perfection. * Vietnamese Iced Coffee (Cà phê sữa đá): I must say that their coffee is strong, but not too strong. Some Vietnamese iced coffee can be too sweet and strong, inducing a hint of nausea; but not their coffee. I'd highly recommend getting a dose of their caffeine. Just had a late lunch here and was worried about the freshness eating lunch at 2:30. It was very good. Was greeted by very nice man, then nice waitress took my order. Refilled my drink timely. Before I turned my Pho red with spiciness I always taste the broth first to see the quality. This is very good broth. I love this place. They are usually closed on Wednesdays. This is our to go place for Pho which has a flavorful broth. I would normally get brisket and tendon ( my request). The combination noodles has the right amount of sauce and the right crispiness for the noodles. My daughter loves the grilled pork spring roll and we devour their eggrolls which are fried crispy with evident bubbles on the outside of the skin. It comes with sweetened or pickled carrots and turnips , bean sprouts and lettuce then the sauce. It is best eaten wrapped in lettuce mixed with the pickled veggies then drowned in the fish sauce dip. The fried tofu is also crispy outside and moist inside , just perfect. There is also the rice plate with shrimp tofu, grilled pork and egg roll , this combo i sometimes order with noodles or vermicelli. Shaken beef with rice is also a winner. You cannot expect over the top service at a asian restaurant, its not going to be top notch. They are way understaffed at all of their location but the waiter knows his stuff. The rice plates are really good, best flavoring smoked smell, good portion for the price. The stir fry noodles has a great sauce, i love how crispy the flat noodles are on the bottom, they give alot of meat for the combination. The seafood only is okay, but overall great. The food here is amazing! Some of the best pho around, great egg rolls, spring rolls, vermicelli bowls...Service is fast, tons of seating. The only reason it's not 5 stars is cleanliness. I have no clue about the kitchen, and last time I got food to go so I didn't use the restroom or sit at a table. But it was about 2pm on a week day (well after lunch rush), 3 tables were seated, and at least 5 empty tables set dirty. The 2 employees I saw were sitting taking to each other and the whole restaurant needed cleaning. I was insistent fir a long time, and this kind of grossed me out, I was quite happy I wasn't eating there. It hasn't always been like this, and all their locations I've been to have had great food. Of and a black tea milk tea everything was very good, plentiful and everyone was very nice! The shaken beef was tender as expected and that calamari was so good! We found this place after learning hibachi across the street was an hour wait and so glad we did!
