Sometimes I wish Yelp Could do half star but, I think the only problem with this place is service. The food is pretty decent the customer service is lacking or has no system. Theres 3 girls working the tables, the younger Asian girl greets and seats you, takes your order, not sure what the bigger older one does but seems like she was just in the way. Another younger girl probably a high schooler was pretty good with trying to wait tables and serve customers. Also our food seemed like it was ready for a while, we saw and heard them ring the bell for order ready; but we waited longer to receive it. Anyways, it seems like for a modest size family owned restaurant it would be easier to have a good flow. Me and my gf did enjoy our dinner though, so thank you chef and cooks. We got the #2 Pho, and #47 vermicelli bowl with shrimp beef and egg roll. We ordered more crispy egg rolls because it was delicious. They don't give as much bean sprouts or basil as other Pho establishments but the Pho itself was alright. Okay, so I wasn't going to make this review but after tonight's experience I had to. My family and I moved to the area back in June and have been trying to find a pho restaurant that's good and near us. The first few times here were decent and that's why it gets a 3 star. Based off of tonight's experience alone it would have been one star. I placed a to go order at 6:50 pm and it stated it would be done between 7:07 pm and 7:14 pm, great! I headed there and waited behind a couple ordering at the front. It took the gentleman telling the girl that I was there for her to notice me. I asked about my order and was told "it's not ready" so I decided to order a Thai Tea Boba while I waited. The boba in the bottom was clumped together and I couldn't drink it, so I ended up dumping it. I waited about 25 mins before I finally got my food, after watching three to go orders that were ready sitting and waiting while slow bussing of tables happened. I was going to speak up but decided to wait. I saw that the wrong soda was placed in my bag and so I checked the rest of the order. When I got home I went to eat the spring rolls I got and they smelled rancid that I physically could not eat them. It was like dish water was used to wet the rice paper. Unfortunately this ruined my experience of this place I was beginning to call our pho home. Hopefully there are some lessons given on service industry standards or they will have more negative reviews done. I completely understand things happen but this was wild. read more

Okay so I really love a mom and pop type pho joint like when the tables are a little sticky....if you know you know!!! So I really wanted to like this place and show appreciation to a smaller business. So let's start with the good I introduced my wife to pho a year or two ago and have been promising to "make her a bowl" the way I made mine when she tasted it..... so I asked her to just find a local place near her and this is what she found.... So I was really excited to go and make her, her own bowl!!' The broth was really good with no additions...the egg rolls were delicious fried well and tasty they had chili oil on the table and it paired well with them....the spring rolls lacked personality like just shrimp, noddles and lettuce... and I'm not sure if my expectations are just high when it comes to certain stuff or what but there was other things I wasn't happy with so I told them and the server was cool but the cook/owner/manager was very not Rude but not really nice either... maybe he was having a bad day idk but I paid, tipped and left. read more

This was the most nastiest drink ive ever had. It was supposed to be a Avocado & Tamarind milkshake. It tasted like a mix of food seasonings and ice. I would not recommend getting this. I am 7 months pregnant and was looking for something healthy to drink, they were out of the coconut juice. This was the only healthy alternative. This pho taste like ... 20% broth 40% water 40% lime. It gives Dish water. Combination fried rice, taste bland, and the eggrolls taste like they were sitting in oil for a really long time. I disliked the crab rangoons as there was very little filling and so much crunch. The portions are fairly decent. They have a great lunch special 9.95 or make it a combo for 13.95. Everything is made to order with fresh ingredients. I have their iced espresso almost every day! SERVICE 10/10 Friendly and attentive. There's usually only one or two people out front so show some grace if they are busy they are also the ones that make the drink orders like bobas and smoothies. Closest pho spot to my home and I'm happily welcoming them into the neighborhood. My reason for being there was obviously pho but when I saw crab noodle soup aka bun rieu, I swerved and went in that direction. The flavors were there and the soup was hot and comforting. We also ordered appetizers to share. The egg rolls were decent and the grilled pork spring rolls were good as well. The fish sauce dipping sauce was a little too sweet for my preference but that was easily fixed with some doctoring up. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is small but clean and neat. My only complaint, through no fault of the business, is the traffic but hopefully they'll finish the Blue Mound Rd construction soon. It's hard to get in and out. Overall, I'm happy to have this Vietnamese spot near home. read more

First off, we waited on our food for about 30 to 40 minutes while others came in after us and received their food before we did. Second, the combination fried rice ,when I received it was room temperature . I sent it back and told her that it's not even warm. But I could deal with it not being hot. My issue was is that it tasted as though it was old and it was dry. The rice was dry. The meat was dry. as though it the as old I don't know how long it sat back there, but when I sent it back to them and told them it's not even warm and it tasted old they didn't remake it all they did was put it in the microwave and heat it up. Finally got back to DFW after working on a cruise ship for 7 months and I knew I wanted something I hadn't been able to have while overseas: Pho. I hadn't been to this specific Pho restaurant before but it was close by and my Fiance had said it was good. It absolutely hit the spot. I got the combo bowl with added meatballs. I always try to ask for the extra fat to add in and they happily gave me some. I was so excited to have Pho again that I actually managed to finish the whole bowl, broth and all. A few things I always look for when ordering pho... 1) How clear is the broth (less debris..onion bits, fat, etc the better) 2) If I ask for my steak on the side (so it doesn't overcook in the broth) how red is it-so I know how fresh the ingredients are. 3) Does it need hoisin sauce or anything added to the broth when arrives? The place was very clean and decent background music which was at the perfect volume. The service was the fastest I've ever experienced. Seems there were 4+ people on staff and they were all very friendly and accommodating. The prices are on the mid to high range for local Vietnamese and they do charge a 3.8% credit card fee though for me it's worth not having to drive to another city. read more

Wanted to stop in and try a newer place to eat Vietnamese food instead of driving to Pei Wai or Panda Express. We got our orders to go, combo fried rice, grilled shrimp over white rice, crab ragoon and a boba tea. The cost was high for a casual place we paid $45 and since we used a credit card a 3.5% fee was added. Figured for the higher price the food will be fresh. It looked good when we got home but it tasted horrible. The cooks should be embarrassed, either they used expired food or poor quality meats and seafood. Then how do you mess up crab ragoon it's the easiest thing to cook using creame cheese with imitation crab, well it tasted like it was expired or generic. The boba tea was okay. Who ever the owner is needs to spend more time in their restaurant because the cooks need help. You have a good location l, it's not hard to buy fresh food based on what your charging. read more

The food was packed securely in containers. No spills. The meats were fresh and the beef broth very flavorsome. I had lots of bean sprouts, Basil, onions and jalapeno. First time at this location. Customer service was good overall. They have a pretty extensive menu. I decided I wanted the Lunch Pho to go but evidently that is for dine in customers only. So I ordered the Large portion of Beef Pho. They had it ready quickly but once I got home the amount of Beef provided for my $15 was nothing maybe 1 ounce but doubt it was even that much. I get Pho from lots of places and usually they give a nice amount of actual meat. I was unhappy. Everything tasted good but not a good value.
